'I'm in Domino-omino-omino-no' the voice echoes. Atem is startled awake and remembers that he is on Kaiba's jet heading towards the pyramids. He looks down to his feet and sees the millennium items glittering in the rucksack. I swear that was Yugi's voice just now? Am I hallucinating or is there still some mental telepathic connection between us? He gazes out the window and all he can see is the never ending sand and rocks. The estimated time of arrival at the three pyramids is 10 minutes and the time is now 3pm. We're going to arrive well before midnight so they might not be expecting us till much later. This could advantage us in some way.
"I hope he's okay." Atem looks over to his right and could see his three friends, Tea, Tristan and Joey all with miserable and glum faces as they worry about their best mate.
"Yea I think we all do Tea" Joey looks at Tea with agreement, "why now after all the bad stuff we've faced that another one has to appear, just when things were starting to look up for us?" Atem flinched at those words as he does feel somewhat guilty on the misery that have befell on the four, after all it all started when Yugi solved that impossible puzzle but Atem realised that Yugi was probably the only one who could solve it because the world somehow knew that he would be able to endure the challenges and help me in locking away the great evil for good. But now, this new foe could be something completely unforseen.
"What even is Udjat?"Tristan piped up, "That's what they said right, they want to resurrect something called the Udjat, do you know what it is Atem?" Now everyone on the jet were looking at Atem hoping for some answers. Atem had heard of this once before in his previous life but even back then it was something old and ancient to them which implies that it was around in Earth's early years.
"I fear that you may not want to know if I tell you," Atem looks down in his laps as he knows if the stories that he heard when growing up were true then it is not going to be good for the human race.
"Please tell us my pharaoh, even we don't know what that is," Marik humbly asked his lord.
"And we need to know the hardship that we will have to face"
Atem breathes in a deep sigh and then exhales, "Very well" He looks up towards the top of the jet thinking of where to start, once realising he looks back at the group and decides to start from the very beginning. "Firstly, I'll just say that even I don't know all that much but may know a bit more than you do at this current time, you see back in my previous life as I was growing up my father and some of his priests would tell me this story about a being known as Udjat. I thought it was some myth a story that parents would tell their children but I guess I was wrong. Udjat was known as a being that would mark the doom for the world. It was said that he would rule all by enslaving us and control us for all of eternity for if was to ever awake from its slumber. But there had to be certain conditions for him to wake which rarely has the opportunity to do so. That's about it but the way my father would describe it truly looked like he feared what would happen if he did wake." Atem looks around at some scared and some confused faces.
"How can it bring our doom?"
"I don't know how because even back then it was ancient so that's saying something considering how long ago it was that ancient Egypt wasn't so ancient."
"So I guess that means that we'll be going in blind then?" Kaiba finally joins in, "Don't like the sound of that but we're here."
Everyone looks out the front window and can see the three pyramids in close proximity. Everyone seemed to be happy to see the pyramids everyone except for Atem who had this uneasy feeling within him concerning the voice echoing him to wake up. Atem dismissed it at the time as he hoped that the people who had taken Yugi are there. If only he knew what was going to be there for when they get there.
