I would just like to apologize in advance for the lamest chapter so far. This is really just a filler chapter and I didn't really know how to make it super long... So yeah I apologize that it's super short and that it's not the best. But I would still read it because there is very important information in it!

There was silence. All I could hear was the five of us breathing heavily, ready to defend ourselves. Minutes went by before we saw the first sign of our enemy. Down the barren street was a little black dot. As it got closer it got bigger until we were looking at a tank slowly rolling its way toward us.
"I don't think my trident can go through that Peeta…" Finnick muttered. He was right. Our weapons were not ready for this kind of warfare.
"We can do it, there's got to be a weak point on there somewhere." Dad said basically to himself. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Johannah grab Finnicks arm.
"Peeta I'm not standing here and getting killed. Come on, we're getting to somewhere safe instead of standing out in the open!" She yelled before running off with Finnick right behind her. Mom and I glanced at each other silently contemplating whether or not we should run to safety or stay with Dad.
"Peeta we're going with them, we can't really save our son if we're dead." Mom demanded while she lowered her bow and arrow. Dad let out a sigh of defeat then ran along with us. We ran for what felt like hours. That's the thing though, when you're running for your life, it seems like everything is in slow motion and your life flashes before your eyes. You see all the good, the bad, every little thing that you had done throughout your life is right there, on replay. I would've kept running if it hadn't been for Johannah who pulled me into an underground tunnel.
"Get the flashlights." Mom demanded while Dad helped Finnick close the giant door before the tank could turn the corner and find us. I dug around in my backpack until I pulled out all the flashlights that I had and turned them on.
"What the hell was that? It wasn't on those stupid blue prints that they had tanks! We are hilariously outmatched! I hate to say it Katniss, but right now I don't think that we'll be able to get your son back." Johannah grumbled. Mom and Dad didn't even look phased at the thought of not getting Teddy back.
"Don't talk like that Johannah. We need to find a way out of here without them knowing where we are. I think that this is the way to go." Mom said quickly then walked away from us. Dad and I exchanged nervous glances but followed along anyway.
"Peeta call Beetee. Tell him that they have tanks. They probably have more weapons like that. For now we need to find a spot to camp for the night. We have a lot of planning to do." Mom muttered. Dad hung back from the group a little bit to talk to Beetee from the wireless radio that each of us had.
"That was a fun experience wasn't it?" Finnick said from my side. I laughed slightly, not answering his question.
"I mean… It could've been worse. We could be dead right now…" He added. I rolled my eyes slightly.
"Look at you finding the bright side of the situation we're in." I said sarcastically. Finnick lightly chuckled and rested his arm on my shoulder.
"One day they should write a book about us. It should start with your parents and the Games that they were in. Then from there it could go through the first Rebellion and end with our births. After that they should make a sequel to that series and it could be about us. You know one day I'll pay my kids to write those books for their old man." Finnick laughed at the thought, his green eyes sparkling.
"I hope I make it out of here… Sometimes I wonder what it would've been like in the Games if Derek hadn't helped me fake my death. I wonder if I would've actually made it out of there or if I would've died…" He trailed off, obviously lost in thought.
"I would rather not think about something like that… It was hard enough in the Games. Another death would've been terrible." I grumbled.
"You do realize that there are going to be more right? For all we know everyone could already be dead and we could be the only survivors." I was about to answer when I heard voices from somewhere in front of where we were.
"Stop!" Finnick demanded. We turned around and saw that Mom, Dad, and Johannah weren't there.
"Where did they-"
"Drop your weapons!" We both froze. We haven't even been fighting them for a whole day and they've already found us. Finnick's grip on my shoulders tightened protectively, the two of us not daring to turn around.
"I said drop your weapons!" The voice demanded once again. Finnick growled softly then threw his trident to the ground. I followed suit and dropped my bow and arrows to the ground along with the backpack that was on my back.
"Turn around." The voice yet again demanded. Finnick's arm moved from around my shoulder while he turned to face the Peacekeepers that had found us so early in the game. Guns were pointed at us from every direction. If we took a single step without them telling us to do so they would blow our heads off. Mom, Dad, and Johannah were all unconscious in the back of a car they had.
"Get in the car. Keep your hands where we can see them." Finnick and I raised our hands while we climbed into the car. The Peacekeepers followed after us, keeping their guns aimed at our heads. Ever so slowly we started to drive through the tunnels. Soon we made it to a large white hallway that was swarmed with people in white coats running from room to room with various tools and weapons. Every so often when a door would open we could hear screams or pleads from people.
"Get out. Keep your hands up." The Peacekeeper demanded. Finnick glanced at me then quickly did as he was told. I followed after him, standing there waiting for the Peacekeepers to instruct us on where to go so we could be tortured to death. I sadly stood there and watched as they took Johannah and my parents into a room at the far end of the hall.
"where are the rest of you?" The Peacekeeper demanded. I remained silent as did Finnick. He prodded us with his gun.
"Answer my question!" He yelled. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Finnicks hands slowly coming together above his head. The Peacekeepers gaze was fixed on me so he didn't notice.
"I don't know." I muttered softly, trying to keep him trained on me so he wouldn't notice whatever it was that Finnick was trying to do. He moved his gun closer to me.
"Where are they? Of course you know!" After a few more moments of silence we heard a loud swooshing noise. Within seconds Finnick's trident was back in his hand. I smiled now knowing full well that he was moving his hands together so he could push the button on his bracelet that he hadn't taken off that would return the trident to his hand. Before the Peacekeeper could shoot Finnick his trident went though his chest.
"Get in the car Lily." He said quickly while he got into the drivers seat. I climbed in next to him and nervously closed the door.
"Do you know how to drive this thing? This isn't like the ones in Twelve." I muttered nervously. Finnick chuckled slightly.
"I love how you under estimate my abilities." He pressed down hard on the gas causing us to speed forward.
"Check in the back, is there anything that we could use?" He asked.
"There's our backpacks, a few guns, some helmets, and shields… I think that we could use some of this." I said while digging through the back of the car.
"Grab a gun and start shooting." Finnick demanded. I did as I was told and grabbed a gun from the back.
"They aren't shooting us though… It's not right to shoot them." I protested. Finnick rolled his eyes slightly, not taking them off of the area in front of us.
"It's also not right to make kids fight to the death but you don't see them stopping that now do you?" I shook my head and looked out the window ready at any time to shoot if I had to.
"Lily we don't have time to get your parents… We have to keep going." Finnick said sadly. I sat up straighter.
"Finn we have to get them! They're going to be tortured!" I exclaimed. Finnicks eyes suddenly widened and he slammed on the breaks. I looked in front of us and saw Derek standing there with his head all bandaged and dressed in full white clothing.
"Derek?" I muttered softly.
Chapter Four should be up in a few days! I've been in my dorm sick with the stupid flu because of my lame roommate who got me sick. Trisha I know that you're reading this so thanks for nothing my friend.
I don't have much to say today...
