Marshalls weapon was the first one to be raised. After his axe was ready to be swung the rest of us seemed to snap out of our trance and readied our weapons.
"I wouldn't do that Ms. Mellark. We all ready have your family. What more do you really want us to do to them?" The President challenged. I nervously bit my lip. What if he was lying? Yes, he did have Teddy; the proof was right in front of me, but what if he's lying… What if he won't hurt them… Not daring to take the risk, I lowered my weapon.
"Lily… Don't you think that's maybe a bad idea?" Finnick whispered to me. I ignored him then bitterly threw the weapon on the floor right at the Presidents feet.
"I always knew that you were a smart girl; now what about the rest of our guests?" Snow asked, almost daring them to attack. After a few moments Marshall angrily threw his axe on the floor. The rest of them followed his lead until we were standing before the President completely unarmed. He smiled and nodded towards one of the walls. In an instant the room was flooded with Peacekeepers, all of them pointing their guns at us.
"Let's cut to the chase shall we? I have your parents and brother, Johannah, Gale, and your two new friends. Do you really want to risk having them murdered? I don't think so. Now, if you would do something for me, I'll give them all back to you completely unharmed." Snow said directly to me.
"That's a lie. I've seen what you did to Derek." I growled. Snow only laughed menacingly.
"Isn't that wonderful? We would've never discovered how to change the human to a weapon of war if it wasn't for your parents. You see, after I was… Killed… Some of the old Peacekeepers decided to take me in. After a few different tests and many surgeries here I am; even better than I was before. Not only do I no longer age, but now I can't be killed. Go on, stab me; I'll just heal in a second. I have the strength of twenty men, my eyesight is-"
"No need to brag." Finnick muttered under his breath causing Snow to glare at him.
"If it isn't Mr. Odair… What a spitting image of your father. Too bad he died before he could see you." Snow said as he sat back down in his chair. Finnick tensed beside me, his hands curling into fists. For a moment I thought he was going to be stupid enough to actually try to take a shot at the President. Luckily he remained where he was, just obviously fuming with anger.
"We had some rooms set up for you. Would you like to see them?" Snow asked as the Peacekeepers closed in and grabbed out arms. We were slowly being lead out of the room when I heard the President clear his throat.
"Leave Mr. Odair, I think that he and I need to have a little chat." I looked back and saw President Snow stand up from his chair once more before the door closed.

From our cell we could hear Finnicks screams. Hours and hours of his desperate cries for help filled the hall. We had all been dumped in a small cell after our meeting with the President. Marshall and Haymitch sat at one side talking strategies since we had arrived here while I've been sitting silently on the other side of the cell trying to block Finnicks screams out of my head. Jules, Derek, and Gale hadn't been brought into the cell with us so we have no idea if they've been caught or are still out there waiting for us to return. Hopefully they're waiting for us to return and haven't been caught, one would think that with someone like Derek on our side they would be safe, but if Snow is also muttated there's no telling how many people the Capital has changed. Out of know where footsteps were heard coming from down the hallway. The three of us stood and waited to see who or what was coming our way.
"Hello- You all look terrible." Jules muttered as she walked in front of our cell with the keys. She quickly opened the door for us and let us out. I looked over at Derek standing beside Gale who had Finnicks limp body on his back.
"Oh my God…" I said softly. Finnick looked like a mess, his hair had spots with dried blood in it, his whole body was bruised and cut, I couldn't imagine what terrible things Snow had done to him during their time together.
"You're quite good at breaking people out of jails." Haymitch said to Jules as she lead us down the hallway, her gun ready to shoot if needed.
"I've broken out of my share of prisons. Here's your weapons." She said and nodded to a pile. We all quickly grabbed ours then continued our journey down the never ending hallway.
"What made you come inside? I thought that the deal was for the three of you to stay outside." I mumbled.
"A couple friends joined us. They're keeping watch outside and told us to come in here and get you guys." Derek said as he looked over his shoulder to make sure we weren't being followed. We finally made it to the end of the hallway and pushed the door open to let us outside.
"Whos-" before I could ask my question I saw my mother and father waiting beside a tank with Johannah climbing inside. I couldn't help but start to smile, they were safe. I ran over to them and threw my arms around my mother as soon as I had made it to her.
"I thought that you died!" I muttered, trying to hold back some tears.
"We can do this later. Everybody in." Mom demanded and nodded to the huge tank.
"What happened to Finnick?" Dad asked once he had caught a glimpse of him.
"We can talk about it once we're out of here." Gale said and quickly got into the vehicle. I followed him, getting in and situated in one of the many seats as soon as I could.
"This is a lot bigger than it looks on the outside." Derek mumbled as he had gotten in then helped Jules off of the ladder that lead inside. The two of them sat down across from me and quietly waited for the rest of us to get inside.
"Thank you for saving us… I don't think we would've ever been able to make it out of there ourselves if you hadn't shown up." I said to Jules. She only smiled and shrugged.
"That's what friends are for." Soon enough the rest of the group was finally inside and the door to the outside was locked.
"How did you three escape?" Haymitch asked as soon as we started to drive away.
"Beetee. He hacked into their system and let us go. The way out was a bit messy, Katniss almost lost an arm, but we made it, thanks to Volts." Johannah explained. I cringed at the thought of losing an arm.
"So what exactly happened to Finnick?" Mom asked us while she and Marshall tended to Finnick's wounds.
"He was with Snow. I don't think the President liked the fact that Finnick talked back to him." Marshall said as he buckled Finnick into one of the seats.
"You saw Snow?" Dad immediately asked. We all nodded glumly.
"He's muttated himself. That's how he's been able to come back and survive for this long." Haymitch grumbled.
"How is it even possible to muttate a human?" Johannah questioned. We all glanced at Derek who was sitting silently.
"It's possible. It's a really long and painful process… But it can be done." He frowned. Mom looked over at Derek staring at his hands then over to me. I nodded, answering her silent question.
"That's inhumane." She said disgustedly.
"So are the Hunger Games." Dad added. The rest of us nodded, silence taking over.
"We'll take us to Twelve. You can all get some sleep. I think you need it, you're like a bunch of zombies." Dad said and took his seat in the front of the vehicle. I looked around at everyone making themselves comfortable and sighed slightly. I leaned back in my seat and shut my eyes, falling asleep almost instantly.

"Are you sure that Beetee sent the weapons there?" I heard Johannah ask.
"Positive. He sent us a message and said that they would be there waiting for us. He's managed to breech the force field. They're trying to figure out ways to take the Capital down now that we know what we're up against." Mom responded.
"Does he know what happens in Twelve?" She asked.
"There's hidden land mines and at night the whole place turns into a bonfire." Dad answered. I heard Johannah grunt.
"Lovely." She grumbled.
"We'll have more than enough time to get the weapons and get out of there before the place goes up in flames."
"I thought fire was your thing Katniss. You don't want to actually be their Girl on Fire?" Gale teased.
"Shut up. The only obstacle are those land mines. Beetee sent us a picture of where he knows some of them are, but he doesn't have all of them tracked. So we're going to have to be extra careful. Don't take a step without one of us telling you to or else you'll be blown to bits."
"That sounds like a great way to die." Jules said sarcastically.
"If you think it sounds so fantastic would you like to be our test dummy and go walk around for us? That way we can see where we should and shouldn't go." Haymitch said bitterly.
"She's joking." Derek said defensively.
"So we're going to get more weapons, big deal. What are we going to do after that? What's the plan?" Finnick. He's awake and doesn't sound too terrible. Thank God he's alright, if he died Annie surely wouldn't be able to cope.
"We don't know yet. We need to come up with one. The Teddy that they had in Thirteen we know is a fake." Dad said to him. I heard papers rustling so they must be looking at the blue prints.
"How do you-"
"We heard Peacekeepers talking about how Lily's so stupid she actually fell for the clone. They're hiding him somewhere else… We know that he's not in Thirteen, the Capital, or Four. I wouldn't think that they would put him in Twelve since that's home so it's too obvious. They would put him somewhere under high security. Somewhere we wouldn't even think of going." Dad said sounding as though he was getting lost in thought.
"One or Two. Two pumps out the Peacekeepers so it must be there." Jules said quickly.
"That's also too much of an obvious choice. Snow's smart. He wouldn't just place him somewhere for the hell of it. He's probably thought it through. He knows what he's doing… Plus he wouldn't make it that easy, it doesn't make for good television if you're in the Games and you have one person who can kill off all of their opponents without any trouble." Mom muttered. She has a point. Snow was all about making the Hunger Games as entertaining and twisted as he could for the Capitals enjoyment. He wouldn't just place Teddy where he knows anyone could stumble across him if they're just walking through the District. He would have to put him somewhere no one would think to look. Somewhere insane… Somewhere we wouldn't even think about looking. My eyes flew open and I stood right up.
"The arena!" I exclaimed. Everyone jumped, obviously under the thought that I was still sleeping.
"Yeah, we're in the arena." Marshall chuckled, making it seem like I was the biggest idiot ever.
"No… I know where Snow's hiding Teddy." I said and made my way over to the table they were all crowded around.
"The last time you said that Snow was there to greet us." Haymitch frowned. I rolled my eyes and pointed to the Capital.
"No he's not there. We've gone over this Lily." Derek said, sounding very annoyed with me.
"You don't understand. Where's the one place we wouldn't even think about looking? This isn't the arena Snow said he would hide Teddy in. He's hiding him in the arena. The original arena." I said, trying my hardest to get them to understand. One by one I saw the light bulb turn on in their heads.
"I can't believe it." Johannah said sadly shaking her head. I sat back down, they all believed me. They knew I was right and that Teddy just got a lot harder to rescue.
"We're going back into the Hunger Games." Maybe second times the charm.
I hope you all enjoyed the chapter! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, I'm more than willing to answer them. Don't forget to review! (no flames)
