Both Spider-Woman and Spider-Man then ran to Doc Ock raged out sprints. He grabbed them both and laughed. "You're letting your anger get the better of you! What was he anyway but a fool?" He said "The police were in the way of my vision in their petty views of what's good and what's ba—" suddenly web was stuck to his sunglasses.

"Shut up!" Spider-Woman yelled as she broke the claws that held her. Ock then used one of his free tentacles to remove the webs from his glasses. "You're going to pay for that." He then threw Spidey at a wall, and sent all four of his arms at Spider-Woman. She leapt above them, and then grabbed one, and then tore it off. Ock gasp and sent another arm at her, she grabbed it again, but then another tentacle grabbed her by the head. He began to crush her skull.

Spider-Man got back up and then kicked Otto in the face. His sunglasses flew off. "I-I can't see!" he yelled as he dropped Spider-Woman and began his escape. "Oh nuh uh!" she said, pulling him back over.

The three tentacles began to flail wildly, and then she grabbed another, once again tearing it off. The two tentacles that were left then grabbed her by the arms. "Now I'll tear your arms off as your tore off mine!"

Spider-Man snuck up behind Ock and then tore off the last two arms. Without being connected to Otto, they finally let go of Spider-Woman. Octavius screamed "No! How dare you do this to Doctor Octopus!" Spider-Man just punched him in the face, Ock then fell against the concrete, knocked out.

Spider-Woman kneeled over the corpse of Captain Stacy and whispered "I'm sorry…" Spidey looked over the scene. The buildings within the area had holes, a fire hydrant was knocked over, cars were wrecked, and then he saw Spider-Woman grieving over the dead captain. Before he could try and talk to her, he was snatched into the air.

A loud laugh filled the air, and as soon as he heard that laugh, he knew exactly who grabbed him. "Goblin!" he yelled. Green Goblin then looked at what he considered his prize and asked "What can I do for you?"

Spidey looked back at him and said "I'd greatly appreciate it if you put me down!" Goblin chortled and said "Oh my dear Spider, there's no brakes on this glider. We're not stopping until we get to where we're supposed to be going! Please keep all hands and feet on the glider at all times! Thank you!"

"I wasn't asking politely!" Spidey quipped as he wound up his clenched fist and gave Goblin a good hit to the face. The glider went slightly out of control as Goblin lost his footing, but then it redirected itself.

Gobby held his jaw and said "Wanna play hard ball, eh Spider? I can play hard ball! Catch!" He then threw a pumpkin bomb at Spider-Man and then flipped off of the glider. The bomb exploded, taking out both the glider and the wall crawler.

"I hope he's alive!" Goblin mumbled "I want to play with him some more." He was alive, but he was passed out. The Goblin then leapt down to the scene of the fallen Spider-Man. "Now let's see just who you are, my web slinging friend…"

He pulled up Spidey's battle ravaged mask, and gasped. "Peter Parker..." he thought to himself "Why this is my son's best friend. Good. My son will be able to tell me all about him, his friends, and his family." Goblin proceeded to laugh and pull back down the mask. He then strutted away, to the horror of everyone who saw this mad man just walking on the street.

Spider-Woman then ran over to what she assumed to be the corpse of Spider-Man. She could have helped him, but she instead had been too distracted by mourning over the dead police captain to help him defeat Gobby. Luckily, his head moved up and he looked at her. He just said "Hi…" She smiled slightly and said "Hi." back. She then hugged him and put him down.

"I have to go…" she then explained. Spidey waved her off and then he proceeded to swing away.

Back at the Oscorp building, the Goblin arrives back into the main office, it was empty as it always is. Nobody's allowed inside except for Osborn himself unless a meeting was going on. Osborn removed the Goblin outfit, changing in his normal suit attire. He put the gear back into the large painting of himself, where it always goes.

"Let's see…" he thought to himself as he looked over papers. "Looks like Roderick Kingsley tried to buy me out…let's buy him out instead."

He then rang a buzzer and spoke over the intercom. "Excuse me Miss Hardy" he said "please tell the men in charge of my funds to buy out Roderick Kingsley's fashion stocks, and send my son in, thank you."

The door buzzed and in walked the younger Osborn. "What do you want, dad?" he asked his father. Norman walked over to his son and wrapped his arm around the young lad's small and frail shoulders. "Son…" he began "You always told me of this Peter Parker kid. I think we should have him over for dinner! He's helped you out in science class…and I want to know more about him."

"Well alright, pops…hey dad" Harry started to ask "can we talk just for once? It's about Pete." Norman cocked his eyebrow and said "Is it? Oh I never listen to you enough, do I boy? Please go on."

Harry shrugged, or at least tried to shrug under his father's large arm and said "Well dad…I think Peter has a crush on Gwen." Norman looked at his son and asked "Who?" Harry then said "You know…Gwen Stacy, my other best friend. I think he likes her, and it seems like…it's just…I think I might like her too, dad."

Norman chuckled and said "Oh don't worry about that, boy. Don't let this get to your head. Your mom meant a lot to me, but then I learned that there are plenty of fish in the sea." Harry then looked at his dad and asked "Then why haven't you remarried?"

Norman's smirk went to a frown, and his eyebrows turned downward. "Here's the real truth, Harry. There might be plenty of fish in the sea, but they're all rotten. Believe me. Women are money grubbing little beasts that don't love you. If you 'love' this Gwen, then just do with her what you need to, and then get it over with! It ain't gonna last forever anyway! You think it will? Women can't tell up from down! They rely on us for a reason. Don't let them control and take advantage of you, hear me, boy?!"

Harry just looked at his father, rather horrified of his outburst. He then nodded. "Dismissed" Norman said as he gave his boy a pat on the back. Harry walked out the door. When he was gone, Norman then pulled out a picture of a young looking woman. Her smile was warm, and her hair was a short brunette. "I didn't mean all of that, Emily…" he grumbled. "But you're the one who had to die on me while giving birth to that horrible disappointment!"

He then thrashed all the papers on the desk and screamed. He clenched his head and gritted his teeth. His eyes were wide as his cold sweaty hands ran through his hair and he then laughed. "I'm not crazy, they're crazy. I'm the only sane person in this crazy world…I'm the only one who sees how futile this life is, and how futile other lives are compared to mine. I am the revolution. I am the human form given perfection. I only wish to spread my power across this once great land out there. But before I do…I must make the Goblin serum…better…"

Meanwhile, at Roderick Kingsley's main office, men in suits came over and revealed to him that Oscrop had bought out his company. "You can't buy me out, this is my company!" he pleaded with them. "Wrong" one of them said "This is the board's company, . And they rule in favor of the Oscorp buy out. You have three days to either fall in with Oscorp, or remove yourself from the premises." The both then left Kingsley in his office.

The lights went off and Kingsley slumped into his chair. "You always come one step ahead of me, Norman…" he grumbled to himself "But I'll find a way to get something from you yet…"
