The jet flew onto a large aircraft carrier in the sky known as the Helicarrier. As soon a Spidey stepped out he said "Whoa…"

"Whoa is right." Fury added "C'mon, the big man wants to meet you." Spidey looked at him and asked "You're not the big man here?" Fury shook his head. "No. I'm just a figurehead and leader on the field. The real man behind the operations is…well you'll meet him soon enough."

They walked down the Helicarrier's halls and into the main headquarters. There in a chair sat a middle aged man also with an eyepatch. His hair was brown, but with a streak of white near his temples. "Glad you brought him to me, son." He said as he rose from his chair.

"Wait…who are you?" Spidey asked. "Name's Nick Fury." The older Fury said "That there's my son." Spidey cocked his head and asked "Wait…you mean like Nick Fury of the Howling Commandos? Dude. How are you still alive?"

"An experimental super soldier serum" Fury began "it keeps me younger longer than most people." Spidey then asked "So…the bald dude's your kid? Mind…explaining that?"

Nick looked at his son and said "Adopted. Found him in the Wakandan Forests abandoned and alone. Couldn't let a kid like that alone without nobody, so I took 'im in. Look you gonna be askin' questions about my personal life, or you gonna ask the real stuff?"

"Okay, okay…" Spidey began "What do you guys at S.H.I.E.L.D. exactly…do?"

The younger Fury spoke out and said "You ever watch that Men in Black movie? What we do is similar. We keep track of super powered beings, and when we need to, we keep them in containment. Before, it was easy. But they're growing in numbers. From Stark Tech's armor, to Oscorps shadier practices…so we decided hiding wasn't going to work anymore."

"Well that's interesting…" Spidey added.

The older Fury walked over to Peter and handed him a device for his wrist. "Use this to get into communication with S.H.I.E.L.D. Also…you want to be part of the Avengers initiative, kid?"

"No thanks." Spidey denied "But I'll be a reserve member if they really need me."

"Then get outta here, also here's a device for your girlfriend." The older Fury said, handing him another device.

Peter nodded and walked out of the Helicarrier with the younger Fury. "You're welcome up here, or the Avengers Tower anytime, ." he said."

"Thanks Nick." Peter said leapt off the Helicarrier. Fury looked at him leave and gave a slight smile.

"I hope he can crack down this Hobgoblin before anything real bad happens…" he mumbled as he stepped back into the Helicarrier.

Speaking of Hobgoblin, Roderick Kingsley sat in his office, staring out the broken window. "Someone stole the spare Goblin supplies…then again…Norman had lairs everywhere. This could be any asshole who was lucky to stumble into one like me." He thought. "Still though, the bunker…how did he know about the bunker? He either got lucky, or he worked here before."

A woman walked in and said "Uhhh… …a is here to see you."

"Send him in, ." Kingsley said. In walked Tombstone, who was looking very mad. "I want my gang back, Kingsley." He demanded. Kingsley laughed.

"You don't get anything, . You're part of my gang. Accept it." He said very sternly.

Tombstone smashed his hand against the desk. "I didn't come here alone, Kingsley." He claimed. Suddenly, men aligned with Tombstone stepped inside.

"This oughta be fun…" Kingsley said to himself.

Meanwhile, at the Ravencroft section of Rykers Island Eddie Brock sat in his new cell. He met his new cellmates, Cletus Kasady and the infamous Doctor Octopus.

He sat alone, but then rather stringy red haired Kasady walked up to him. "What's the matter, man?" he asked. Eddie shoved him and said "Go away." Kasady shook his head. "That wasn't very NICE, man!" he hissed.

Ock stepped between the two. "Gentlemen this isn't a good time to fight." Cletus shoved the doctor and said "Butt out, man! This is my bait!"

Then a guard walked up to the cell and said " . Doctor Kafka will see you now." Eddie stepped out and Cletus ran up to the bars. "I'LL GET YOU YET, MAN!" Cletus yelled. "In your dreams, sick-o!" Eddie yelled back.

The guard forced him into a chair and said "She'll be here in a minute." He then walked away.

She walked in and Eddie was instantly besmirched. "You Doctor Kafka, right?" he asked.

"Yes I am, Eddie. It is a pleasure to meet you." She replied.

"Where do we begin, doc?" he asked curiously.

She reached into a vanilla colored folder and pulled out some papers. "Simple, Eddie. From what we have on your files…it seems you have a hard time blaming yourself. You seem to blame everyone else. Care to explain?"

Eddie frowned. "Ever since I was younger…I just felt like I was blamed for everything, Doc. My dad blamed me when mom died, I tried to do the best I could…I really did, Doc. I got good grades, I excelled in everything…but he just didn't care."

Kafka frowned and asked "Any other reason besides your dad, Eddie?"

"Well yeah…" he began "When my wife left me…she said I just couldn't keep stress well and said it fell squarely on me. She was right, but damn it. Everybody blames me for everything. Why can't I catch a lucky break?"

Kafka tilted her head and said "I'm sorry to hear that, Eddie. I think this could be a fresh start for you, though."

"Ain't no chance left for me, Kaf. I'm already far too gone." He replied, rather sad.

She smiled and said "No, Eddie. Many people say that to me, but a lot still recover anyway. I think you could be one of them."

Eddie smiled back and asked "You think so, doc?"

"I know so, Eddie" she replied. The session continued, and both Eddie and Ashley got to know each other. She felt empathy for him, and Eddie never really knew anybody who had any faith in him.

Back in the main cell, Kasady sat with Ock. "So where are your fancy arms, Doctor?" he asked Ock.

"Ripped off of me. I seek to get them back, Kasady." Ock replied as he grimaced.

"Maybe we can…break out…" Kasady suggested. "C'mon man! You n' me! We can do it!"

"Perhaps" Otto replied. "But first…we need a way out. And my arms are gone. But that Eddie fellow…he has something I require and something we can use to get out."

Cletus' thin face contorted into a grin. "What do you suggest,Doc?" he asked.

Ock gave this idea "We use his symbiote…"

Back at Oscorp, a gang war erupted between Kingsley and Tombstone. Tombstone's thugs were falling to both Kingsley's thugs and Oscorp security.

Eventually Kingsley changed into the Hobgoblin outfit and ran at Tombstone. He kicked him, but Tombstone didn't even flinch.

"HAHAHAHAHA! Like my new ability?" Tombstone asked him. Hobgoblin flipped onto his glider and said "Not really."

Tombstone jumped onto the glider, causing it to tilt slightly. "GET OFF THIS THING YOU BIG OAF!" Hobby demanded. Tombstone growled and attempted to punch Hobby. He ducked beneath the hit and kicked Tombstone off. "YOU'LL HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THAT!" Kingsley boasted.

Then he heard another glider in the distance. He looked over at the noise and said "It…can't be!"

"IT IS!" said the high pitched voice "AND I JUST HATE IMPERSONATORS!" It was him! The Green Goblin! He rammed his glider into Kingsleys, promptly sending him into the Oscorp building.

The Goblin reached his hand into the air and said "AND I WANT WHAT'S RIGHTFULLY MINE!"
