Hobgoblin got back up and looked at the Green Goblin, then at the fallen Tombstone, and finally back at Gobby. "It's mine now! Go away!" he proclaimed as he threw pumpkin bombs at the Goblin. The Goblin flew above the explosions and laughed.
"GIVE ME MY BIRTHRIGHT!" he screamed as he rammed towards Hobby once more. Hobby leapt off his glider and activated the self-destruct as it hit the Goblin. Then is when his cape tore off and wings popped out.
"BAHAHAHAHA! THE HOBGOBLIN ALWAYS WINS!" he boasted as he hovered in the air. Then the Goblin came out of the smoke of the explosion and once again proclaimed "GIVE ME MY BIRTHRIGHT!" as he attempted to ram Hobby out of the sky.
Hobby narrowly dodged the green menace and took to the higher skies. The Goblin chased after him, while still laughing maniacally. "OSCORP BELONGS TO ME!" he screamed "GIVE IT BACK!"
Hobgoblin looked down at the fast approaching Goblin and said "No! How did you even survive?"
The Goblin chortled as he explained "I never died!
"I should have figure!" Hobgoblin sighed as he threw down more pumpkin bombs. The Goblin avoided the bombs and kept on approaching Hobby at breakneck speeds. Hobby decided a taking a downward path would be best in this situation, so he took a sudden swerve down and flew through town.
The Goblin decided to follow him down and around town. Spidey was making his landing when both of the Goblins whooshed right by him. "WHAT THE?!" he thought to himself before he swung after the two madmen.
"GO AWAY!" Hobgoblin hissed as he lobbed more bombs at the Goblin. Green n' gruesome yelled "NOT UNTIL YOU GIVE ME THE COMPANY THAT I DESERVE!" right back at him.
Hobgoblin growled and screamed "NEVER!" as he sneered at the Goblin. Spidey then landed on Hobby's back and asked "Mind explaining this?"
The Goblin instantly locked eyes on Spidey and threw a bomb at him. Spidey leapt up before the bomb hit him, but Hobby was not so lucky, the bomb hit his wingpack and he fell to the ground.
The Goblin stopped chasing Hobgoblin, even if he was easy bait now, and went after Spider-Man. "YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID!" he proclaimed as he chased after the web slinger.
"I didn't do anything!" Spidey replied as he kept on swinging "What happened falls solely on you, Osborn!"
The Goblin said "LIES! IT'S NEVER MY FAULT!" and propelled himself towards Spidey far faster than before.

Back at the hospital, Gwen sat with Aunt May as she was wondering where Peter went. "C'mon Pete…where are you?" she thought as she wrung her hands nervously.
A large crash was heard outside and Gwen looked out the window. She saw the Hobgoblin lying on the concrete of the parking lot. Before she could do much, Hobby pulled himself back up from the rubble and a limo arrived to take him away. She wanted to catch him, but she told Peter she'd watch over Aunt May until he came back.
Then, at the doorway, stood two figures, both were wearing outfits similar to what Pete and Gwen wore…but it was different in many ways. The female one had a grey and black outfit with red weblines and she wore a red scarf that didn't bother to cover her long black hair or her deep brown eyes. The other was plainly red except for a blue hoody with a spider on it, pouches on his ankles, a utility belt, webshooters, and the pure white eyes on his scarlet mask.
"Who are…you?" Gwen asked them both.
"I'm the Scarlet Spider" the male introduced himself as.
"And I'm Silk" the female introduced herself as.
Gwen cocked her head. "Are you…here to help me?" she asked them curiously.
"No." Silk said "We're here to help ourselves."
"It's nothing personal, rea—" before Scarlet Spider could finish, he got a good look at Gwen and he became silent. As if a thousand memories flooded through his head.
Silk looked at Ben, but then she was kicked by Gwen who said "Stay out of my and Pete's business!"
Silk got back up and tripped Gwen by web yanking her feet. "Please do not hate me for this!" Silk pleaded as she tied Gwen up with webs that came out of her fingers.
"How could I not?!" Gwen screamed as she tried breaking out of the webs. "I'm seriously!" Silk tried to convince "I do not mean trouble! But I have to do this. If I don't, then me and my pal Scarlet Spider over there will be imprisoned again."
Gwen struggled before eventually breaking free and delivering a right hook to Silk in the face. Silk took the hit and then kicked Gwen out the window. She grabbed the still zoned out Scarlet Spider and leapt out after her.
Back with Spidey and the Goblin, Spidey had landed on the glider with the Goblin and was trading punches with him. "Why did you do what do you did?!" Peter asked, still angry at seeing his green foe once more.
"I didn't do anything!"the Goblin denied as he tried shoving Spidey off of the glider. The wall-crawler stayed put and instead pushed the Goblin off the glider and onto the city's streets.
Peter leapt down after him, causing the glider to fall out of control and crash into a building nearby.
The Goblin tried to run, but Peter web yanked him back over and laid a harsh curb stomp on the villain. Goblin activated a bomb and said "I'll…kill us BOTH! You're going to pay for taking my best friend away from me, Spider-Man!"
Spidey cocked his head and asked "What do you mean…take your best friend?" The Goblin kicked Spidey in the gut and took off again. Spidey was about to chase after him until he heard Gwen yelling. He decided she was more important and he decided to swing to her at the hospital.
As Gwen and Silk fought in the parking lot of the hospital, inside Aunt May lied in her bed, asleep. Then the purple robed man who released Silk and Ben walked inside. He looked at the sleeping Aunt May who was connected to a device that was keeping her alive.
The man looked down at the old woman and then at life support. His hand outreached from the flowing robe. He placed it on the plug of the life support and pulled it. In a flash, Aunt May's heart rate went flat and the man laughed. He walked back out as subtly as he walked in.
Back in the parking lot, Peter arrived and at that, Scarlet Spider snapped back to reality. "You!" he said in an angry tone. Spidey tried to help Gwen fend off Silk, but Scarlet stepped in his way. "You want her, you go through me!" he claimed as he shoved Spidey back.
"You don't want to do this!" Spidey said. Scarlet replied with "Well…no I don't…but I don't have a choice here!" as he hesitantly still stood in front of Spidey.
"I recognize you…you're that clone. Look. If you can…remember what Uncle Ben told you! Remember what Aunt May wants from you! Remember Gwen!" Spidey tried to negotiate.
Ben just stood there. He was blanked out. As if a thousand more memories flooded through his head. He finally remembered who he was. And who he was is Peter Parker. The man who would sacrifice himself to save the ones he loved.
"Silk!" Ben proclaimed as he snapped back to reality once again. "Silk! We don't have to do this!" Silk looked back at him and sadly said "What if they take me back?" Gwen then asked "Take you back where, Silk?"
Silk frowned as she explained "Oscorp. It's where I was given my powers. It's where I was kept as an experiment. You can't let me go back!"
Gwen and Peter frowned. "Let's head back inside. We can discuss this there." Ben and Gwen agreed. Silk agreed hesitantly and they all walked inside. They noticed that all the guards were passed out or possibly even murdered, so this caused Peter to run to where Aunt May was being kept only for him to be met with an ugly surprise.
He saw his aunt lying dead in her bed. The flatline showed that she was indeed gone. As soon as Gwen ran in she asked "Peter what's wrong—Oh my gosh!" she ran over to the bed as well. Finally Ben and Silk entered and they ran over too.
Peter shoved them both away, though. "If you hadn't distracted Gwen, she'd still be here!" Peter growled at both Cindy and Ben. They both hung their heads. Cindy tried to explain "I-I didn't know that this would happen! I'm sorry! This wasn't supposed to happen! I mean i—" Peter glared at her, shutting her up. Gwen held Peter's shoulder.
"It isn't their fault, Peter…" she spoke calmly "It isn't. They didn't know. We need to figure out who did this. It's them who did it."
Peter lowered his head. "You're right, Gwendy. But I think I already know who did this." His mind instantly went to the Green Goblin.
Ben then said "I think I know too…"
