It was finally happening, Spider-Man and his amazing friends swung towards Oscorp, and Norman Osborn was beginning to lose it in his office.
He stared out his window at what he considered his empire, New York City. He looked and then fell on his knees. He then fell on his hands and banged against the ground. "I…can't lose this war…"
He then hurried out of his office and head down for the underground labs. There he found Alistair Smythe, who asked " ? What are you doing down here?"
"Taking control of the Spider-Slayer v.2, Smythe!" he proclaimed as he started looking in the dark.
Smythe scratched the back of his head and looked at his boss with concern. "Now? I can't possibly condone, …"
Osborn smashed Smythe into the wall and said "YOU'RE EITHER WITH ME OR AGAINST ME, SMYTHE!"
Smythe nodded and replied "I'm…with you, sir."
"Good!" Norman said as he reached into a box and pulled out many vials of Goblin Serum.
Smythe stared at the green liquid and asked "What's…with that?"
"Back up plan, Alistair." Norman said as he finally found the Spider-Slayer and got inside with all of the bottles.
The Slayer's eyes glowed red in the dark and it let out a mechanical hiss.
Now with the Spiders they finally arrived. The Oscorp building itself, but before they could do much…a flood of helicopters barraged them.
From one of them had this come from the speakers, "HANDS IN THE AIR, CRIMINALS!"
"We're not the bad guys!" Spidey reiterated as he sighed. "I don't want to fight you guys, your just doing your jobs!"
"Nonsense!" the voice from the speaker said , "Your crooks! Would Mayor Osborn lie to us?"
Flash stepped into and yelled up to the chopper "Yes he would! I used to work for him."
The man in the helicopter hesitated. "Well…" he began to think "I did see that on the news…what do you thinks, boys? Would the Mayor lie to us like that?"
Another voice from a helicopter spoke out "I'm pretty sure he would, actually...I mean it wouldn't be the first time a politician has lied."
The men in the other choppers began slowly agreeing. Spidey then said "You see what I mean?"
"I do." The Oscorp guard in the chopper said. "Please carry on, Spiders."
"Thank you…" Spidey said as lead the Spiders by another step, but suddenly…the ground shook. And a voice could be heard speaking on a loud speaker. It was Norman's voice! He said "YOU DAMN SPIDERS ARE ALWAYS RUINING EVERYTHING FOR ME, YOU KNOW THAT?"
"Come out, Osborn! Or are you too scared to fight all of us at once?" Gwen smack talked as she smirked.
"Yeah! Too scared to fend us all of?" Anti-Venom mocked as he beamed.
"YOU SHOULD BE SCARED OF ME!" Osborn said as the ground shook. Then out from the Oscorp building a giant metallic serpent broke free from within and let out a horrid growl.
"What…the hell…is that?" Kaine asked as he looked upon the Slayer.
"Oh my god…" Peter grumbled as he too looked at it.
"IMPRESSED?!" Osborn said as he laughed. "SAY HELLO TO THE SPIDER-SLAYER V.2!"
A voice from one of the choppers said "Hey! I thought you said you wouldn't let another Spider-Slayer incident happen!"
"I LIED! YOU SHOULD BE GLAD THAT I'M WILLING TO SPEND MY CASH TO STOP THESE SPIDERS!" Norman said in a deranged fit. The choppers left and now all that was left were the Spiders, standing in the middle of the street.
"How…do we fight such a thing?" Silk asked as she looked into its large red eyes.
Ben turned to her and suggested "With a little bit of elbow grease?"
Ock winced at the giant thing and said "I designed those Spider-Slayer blueprints, Osborn! Once again you steal my work from me!"
In a little window on top of the Slayer's head, Norman could be seen turning to Otto. "I'd recognize that whining anywhere…Otto Octavius! I can see you got sick of your physically out of shape body and swapped it out! Cute. BUT IT JUST MAKES YOU AN EVEN BIGGER AGENDA ON MY LIST!"
"Wait…you designed the blueprints, Otto?" Peter asked rather curiously.
"Of course I did…" Otto bragged "I know the thing inside from out!"
"Good." Peter said with a smirk.
"ENOUGH TALK!" Osborn screamed as the Spider-Slayer fell to the ground and began slithering around the Spiders. "THIS IS WHERE YOU DIE!"
"Otto…would you mind leading the group?" Peter asked as he looked at the circling serpent.
Otto stood triumphantly and said "It would be my pleasure! Follow me, peons—I mean partners!"
"Can we trust him?" Gwen asked, still rather suspicious of the Doctor, not to mention holding a grudge because he killed her father.
"We don't have much choice he's the only one who knows the thing like Osborn does." Peter replied as he swung away, following Otto.
The other Spiders swung with him and the Spider-Slayer began sliding towards them, the thing was really quick. Like a freight train on the road, ramming through cars, people, and everything.
Otto finally leads the Spiders to a skyscraper and they all stood atop the building. It wasn't long until the serpent coiled itself around the building and its head could be seen looking at them.
"Okay, this might seem like a bit of stretch…" Otto began to explain "But I'm going to need all of us to leap into its mouth!"
Everyone turned to Otto and said "What?"
"I said I need everyone to leap into the mouth of the Slayer!" Otto repeated as a laser shot out from the Slayer's mouth.
Everyone leapt above the laser and Otto proceeded to jump into the mouth of the beast.
"Well…are we going or not?" Toxin asked as he looked into the mouth of the serpent that seemed to be…coming closer!
"Looks like we don't have much choice now!" Peter joked as they all were swallowed into the machine.
They all soon arrived into the "belly" of the beast as inside it was mostly just an empty hallway of mechanical insides.
"Now what?" Peter asked Otto.
Otto pointed upwards. "We need to find a way to go up and into the cockpit!"
Speakers inside spoke of Osborn's voice and he said "WELCOME TO THE INSIDE OF THE MACHINE, SPIDERS! YOUR DEATH BEGINS HERE!"
The machine began to fill up with robotic spiders that flooded the spiders and began attacking. They were easy to destroy, but there were too many of the things!
Elsewhere, on Ryker's Island a partner of the Spiders looked out the window. It was Carnage…or as he called himself now Carnage-Man! He looked at the giant slayer and asked himself "Now what in tarnation is that? Some kinda mecha serpent thing!"
Carnage-Man frowned and said "Well I can' jus' break outta prison…but they need my help probably! SOME LAWS NEED TO BE BROKEN IN THE NAME OF HEROISM!" He then busted out of the wall and took towards the Spiders.
Back inside the Slayer, many Spider-Bots were being destroyed, but yet…they just kept on coming and coming! No matter how many they destroyed…more kept coming!
"How many does this guy have?!" Kaine growled as he kept on smashing the things.
Otto then said "As much as money can buy, Kaine! And Osborn is a very rich man!"
Then a slice could be heard from outside the serpent and cutting inside was a red blade.
"That can't be good…" Gwen said, feeling quite defeated.
"BUT IT IS!" a voice said from the other side as a hole was cut from the outside. "It's me! Carnage-Man!"
"Never thought I'd be glad to see you…" Spidey said as he pulled Carnage down.
Carnage smiled and said "Always glad to be of service! I tried bein' a hero again…but apparently lightin' a bank on fire before the robber could rob it ain' a good way ta prevent robberies apparently…"
"I dunno, it could work for me." Kaine said with a smug smirk.
More spiders began to flood the area, but the three symbiotes gathered around each other. The then formed giant spikes that took out the rest of the mechanical spiders.
"MY SPIDERS!" Osborn's voice from the speaker yelled out. "TOO BAD THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING!"
Turrets then popped out of various parts in the Slayer and began shooting lasers at the Spiders.
If it weren't for their spider-senses, they'd be shot up, but the managed to avoid all lasers shot out, except Otto. Who took a hit and fell over. Peter picked him up and said "Otto! Get up!"
Otto got back up and pointed forward "Go to Osborn! Defeat him! I can take care of the Slayer's core! I know where it is!"
Peter then said "Otto! Come on, we do this together!"
Ock shoved Peter and replied "GO!"
Peter nodded and continued forward up the Slayer as the rest of the Spiders followed…
