Back on board of the Endeavour, both Jack and Danni was held by two navy men each, while chains were locked around their wrists quite tightly, before Jack was walked away towards Beckett's office. Danni on the other hand, was about to move with them, but Theo suddenly turned up and ordered the two men who held her, to give them a few minutes.

"Danni…I'm so sorry." Theo started, his words held worry. "All this…all of it has happened so quickly."

"I'm still alive, aren't I? But right now, I'm in doubt if it is a good thing." Danni said, while Theo walked her away from the men, but they kept near them, not trusting any of them, they had their orders. "How did I end in the locker, Theo?"

"The locker? I…I don't know." He replied surprised. "I made sure you were safely in the rowing boat, before I cut you lose, then you dived into blackness of the night…"

"I see your actions of helping, got you a beating. I'm the one who should be sorry…sorry about everything, but I'm willing to fight Theo, to make things right. However I think you know what's next, we be standing on different sides, fighting each other, until a lot of blood is lost and one has lost too many to count, to either surrender, or to die. War is not a pretty thing. I always wondered why men go into battle, there is no wining side- we all lose something and have marks from our actions."

Danni stopped, as Theo wrapped his arms around her, she was struck with surprise, but she repaid the gesture. She had missed his warm embrace, she felt like nothing could hurt her, when Theo hugged her-his arms were like fourteen feet high, stone walls, protecting her from outside world. However the hug didn't last long, as the two navy men, harshly pulled Danni away from Theo and half dragged and walked her away. Theo reached out to grab Danni's hand, but he was too slow, instead he let his arm drop and watched with heartache as Danni disappeared into the shadows.

….

In the office, Jack looked behind him, as the double doors shut behind him, he was hoping Danni wasn't going to be brought in. However hearing Beckett speak, brought his attention to his surroundings. He rubbed his wrists, where the chains had cut into his skin, he hated those things, they made you feel powerless and weak, however you could use them to your advantage.

"It's curious. Your friends appear to be quite desperate, Jack." Beckett started, his back to his office and was staring at the Black Pearl. Jack started to look around the office, in hope to find the heart and use it for his advantage, then he wouldn't need to fight, but offer a bargain, maybe? "Perhaps they no longer believe that a gathering of squabbling pirates is enough to take down the Flying Dutchman. And so despair leads to betrayals. But you and I are no strangers to betrayal, are we, Jack?" Jack stopped snooping, as he glanced down to his wrists where the P mark glowed. Jack quickly looked up, hearing commotion outside the office, his heart dropped as his hope faded away. He could hear Danni protesting, he winced as he heard her curse, he wondered if she trying to fight the men back. "It isn't here, Jack?"

"What? What isn't?" Jack asked, acting surprised as he was brought back to the office.

"The heart of Davy Jones. It's safely aboard the Dutchman, and as unavailable for use as leverage to satisfy your debt to the good captain."

Before Jack could reply, the doors of the office opened again, and brought in cold air, but also Danni, who was pushed in. She quickly turned around to try to run, but the men quickly shut the doors. Jack let out a sigh, as all their actions have brought them where they stood- they were both back in Beckett's office after years since last time, both had their marks, both were adults and could account of their actions. His gaze landed on Danni, he saw she still had fight in her, although it was no good this time. She was not safe, but was she safe back on the Pearl?

"How remarkable well, you look, Miss Turner." Beckett said breaking the silence, which held tension. "I hope Sao Feng, wasn't too harsh. It seems betrayal runs in the family, your own cousin bargaining with pirates, I somehow thought you may have taught him that you cannot make a deal with pirates…"

"Yet you don't follow your own rule." Danni spat. "He did what he had to do, he lets his heart speak and not his brain. Leave my family out this, they were good people, unlike some." She then turned her head and stared at Jack, before walking towards him. "You may as well pocket all what you can, we can sell this shit, and get great amount of money for it."

"Hiding behind your wall again, Danielle." Beckett stated, as Danni started to pick up some objects off the table and studied them. "How was the locker? As I assume you somehow ended up there, after you ran away. It has been several days since, a great amount of time to catch up with everyone."

"If this is going to move to an awkward situation, I'm going to leave." Jack stated, making Danni stare at him with fear. "Back to Jones' heart, my debt has been settled."

"By your death? And yet, here you are."

"Close your eyes and pretend it's all a bad dream. That's how I get by."

"And look where it is led you." Danni mumbled under her breath.

"And if Davy Jones were to learn of your survival?"

"What if to say, no one tells the said captain?" Danni asked, turning around to face the two men. "He doesn't have to know everything…he's your middle man in all your plans, you give him orders and then he does it, easy as pie, but with this tiny secret of Jack being alive, you have more opportunity." She stood by Jack, before adding. "We all want to kill Jack, no offence, but as he is still here, you can let his actions be the best of him. What I mean is, you need a heart if Jones goes against you, but who will offer their freedom and become the captain of the feared ship? I know I wouldn't. There be no rum for ten years and that is too long to wait, everything seems to be forevermore without a drink. Actually, I think leaving the whole captain thing is a better idea…"

"The Dutchman always needs a captain." Jack muttered.

"Ok, ok, what about this war? Let's say…"

"I see your time was used well, Danielle." Beckett said, cutting her off. "Was on your own too much? How is your beloved Ragetti, by the way? I sent over Mercer, to give him a hello from me and hope he was enjoying your company, while it lasted."

Danni frowned in anger, she stepped forward, but Jack grabbed her arm and pulled her back. "It seems your ego has slipped from its hiding place, and showing itself, you greedy…"

"If you want to go down that road, Danielle. Then we shall. You let your guard slip, while you were here, making things all too easy." Beckett started to explain, while walking around his desk. Danni glared knowing where it was leading too, she felt Jack's grip loosen. "Ragetti is lucky to have you, your passion driving you on, your desire to be free from everyone, yet you seemed to forget all about that, that night when you accompanied me in my bed."

Danni lowered her eyes with anger and disgust, both towards herself. Jack let Danni go, glancing between Beckett and her, the look on his face, told the man with the upper hand everything, which made him smirk.

"Oh, she didn't tell you?"

"Jack…"Danni started, but she couldn't find any words to say. She stared up at him with shame. "I…I…it was a mistake…"
"You were always a coward, Beckett." Jack stated angrily. "We are all adults here, it's a talk you want, as you wouldn't waste your so called precious time with prisoners. So speak."

Back on the Pearl, Ragetti stood with the others, his heart full of worry and guilt. His harsh words from the previous night echoed in his mind, it seemed right to say them out loud at the time, but having the time to think it over, he knew what a mistake he made. He was not visited by sweet dreams, he had no dreams at all that night. He couldn't sleep. He replayed the scene over and over and over again, he wanted to run to Danni, and apologise of his words, but something in the back of mind told him not too. Seeing her in the rowing boat, made it worse. He wanted to reach out and hold her hand and tell her he still loved her, but he couldn't open his mouth, it felt his mouth was buttoned up, making him swallow his words. Sitting so close to her, he could feel her warmth, her spirit and soul, but he couldn't touch it. And seeing her being dragged away, he couldn't let her go, without tell her, he hoped his eyes told her what he couldn't speak.

Tia was right, the heart was a special thing, it tells us about the world, with uttering a single word, Ragetti thought. He looked down, as he felt the said organ beat in its cage, calling out Danni's name, calling in hope to find her again and be with her once more. To wail its sadness of not finding her. To melt into the pool guilt, which started to form below it, the strings which it clung on desperately, was cut one by one.

However Ragetti's attention was brought back to the tight situation on board, hearing someone being dragged away, he looked around and saw Will being held tightly, his plan back fired. A shadow fell upon Ragetti's face, making him look back to before him, and saw Mercer staring at him, although there was no emotion visible, Ragetti saw he was enjoying seeing the pirates chained up, and everyone betraying each other.

Ragetti frowned with confusion, as Mercer stepped forward and leaned into to whisper in his ear: "Love breaks hearts." He slowly leaned back and stepped away to add: "Who can you trust?" He moved his eyes and stared at the rest of them, before moving away.

Ragetti lowered his gaze again in anger and confusion. However he moved his gaze to stare at the Endeavour, the wind washing away what he felt for a few seconds, and then it was replaced by his true feelings. He wants war, war I will give him, Ragetti stated in anger.

"Perhaps you would consider an alternate arrangement, one that requires absolutely nothing from you but information." Beckett said, making the conversation back to the important thing. He picked up two extremely small glasses, and a glass of whiskey, before pouring them and gave one to Jack who stood near the desk; vaguely staring little figures of men on a map.

Taking the glass from Beckett, Jack asked: "Regarding the Brethren Court, no doubt? In exchange for fair compensation, square my debt with Jones, guarantee my freedom?"

Danni stood at the back of office, looking at the many items, which Beckett owned. She was likening the idea of stealing what she could and sell it, like how he did not just with her, but innocent people's possessions or freedom. However hearing Jack, she stopped and turned her head, to stare at him with concern.

"Of course. It's just good business."

"Were I in a divulgatory mood, what then might I divulge?"

"Everything. Where are they meeting? Who are the pirated lords? What is the purpose of the mine pieces of eight?"

Danni threw the object she had in her hand, and it crashed against the others. She stormed towards Jack and grabbed his shoulder to make him look at her. "You cannot do this, Jack! Don't say you are actually thinking of give him information!"

Jack walked away without answering Danni's question, he picked up a fan from somewhere and stared at the wall, before spinning around to meet their eyes and fanning themselves. "You can keep Barbossa, the belligerent homunculus and his friend with the wooden eye both, and Turner, especially Turner." Jack stated, making Danni glare and storm towards him. "The rest go with me aboard the Pearl, and I will lead you to Shipwreck Cove, where I hand the pirates and you will NOT hand me to Jones. Bloody fair deal, don't you think?"

Danni stood in front of Jack and shoved him hard in the chest, before driving a fist towards his face, but he grabbed her wrist. "What do you think you are doing? You are selling your friends! I thought you would have changed a little bit from being in the locker, but it seems you haven't! I won't let you give Ragetti to him!"

"Oh, you two are back together are you?" Jack asked, staring down at her. "Last time, Ragetti couldn't even look in your eyes, now I can see why."

Danni's mouth dropped in shock, but her anger took control of her again and she kicked him in the knee, which let him let go of her and she shoved him hard again. "You have no right! Yes I did a stupid thing, but don't we all? Whatever has happened between Ragetti and myself, that is between us and not you, or the flipping world!"

"And what becomes of Miss Turner?" Beckett asked, breaking the tension silence, which followed Danni's outburst.

"The deal is Danni comes back with me, and you have those I said." Jack replied, pushing Danni to the side and walked back to the desk. "You have one Turner, and I have the other."
"Wait! Do I have a say in this?" Danni asked, making the two men stare at her. "You are commending innocent, well in this case, to death!"

"Pirate." Jack simply stated.

"But…"

Before Danni could find the right words to say, Beckett stood back up from his chair and explained he had something which may interest Jack, he walked passed Danni, to the back of office and picked up a small object. He then turned around to show what he had in his hand. It was a small black box, but opening it up, both of the pirates could see it was a compass.

"So for what do I need you?" He asked Jack.

"It points to what you want most, and that's not the Breathen Court, is it?" Jack asked.

"Then what is?"

Danni felt two pair of eyes land on her for a few seconds, in a matter of glances, which made her take a step backwards, not likening how all of it was leading to.

"Me." Jack replied. "Dead."

In disappointment, Beckett threw the compass to Jack, and Jack threw the fan to Beckett.

"Although if I kill you," Beckett added, fanning himself with the fan and started to walk towards Jack. He quickly lifted up his hand and showed he was holding a pistol, aiming at the captain. "then I can use the compass to find..Shipwreck Cove, was it? Cut out the middleman, as it were."

Danni quickly made her way to stand between Beckett and Jack, so the gun was pointing towards her heart. "I won't let you. I always be between you and Jack, and if you want him dead, then you have to kill me first."

Danni looked at her arm, as Jack wrapped his hand around it and started to walk around Beckett, moving Danni with him. "With me killed, you'd arrive at Shipwreck Cove, find its stronghold nigh impregnable, able to withstand blockade for years, and then you'd wish, "Oh, if only there were someone I had not killed inside to assure that the pirates come outside…"

"And you can accomplish all this, can you?" Beckett asked, with disbelief.

"You may kill me, but you never insult me." Jack replied, he let go of Danni's arm and stood in front of her. "Who am I?" Seeing Beckett flounder, he quickly replied to his own question: "I'm Captain Jack Sparrow!"

The office shook violently, making Beckett fall, but Jack and Danni just shake, (they nearly did fall, but they quickly recovered). Jack rushed over to Beckett and shook his hand, then he let go to grab Danni's and led her out to the deck. There Jack loaded a cannon ball and tied a rope around the cannon ball.

"You're mad!" Beckett exclaimed, as he now stood at the stairs of the helm.

"Thank goodness for that, because if I wasn't, this would probably never work." Jack stated.

"And I am trusting you?" Danni asked, in hope it was going to work.

Without answering, Jack wrapped an arm around her waist and set alight to the cannon. Quickly it realised the cannon ball and they were both flew in the air, to land on the Pearl. Danni landed on her front, though she put her hands on the floor to prevent her face from being hit, she heard movement, making her look up and saw the crew of the Pearl walk towards her.

"And that was without a single drop of rum." She heard Jack state, as if he was pleased with his plan.

Danni quickly pushed herself up, but feeling a hand on her arm, she looked up to see it was Ragetti's. She smiled and let him help her up, she accepted his embrace and heard he was sorry.

"Send this pestilent traitorous cowhearted yeasty codpiece to the brig." She heard Jack say, making her look towards him to see he was addressing Will.

"Jack…!" Danni shouted, but Ragetti caught hold of her, before she could hurt the captain, or anyone else. "Please Jack, you cannot do this!" Watching everyone turn and walk away, Danni scanned the crew and grew confused as she didn't see Elizabeth. She turned around to face Ragetti again: "Where is she?"

"She accompanied Sao Feng, swapping places with you." He replied with worry.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know…it seemed he was interested in you, but Elizabeth said she would go in your place, to get us out of this alive."

Hearing that, Danni pushed Ragetti's hands off her and ran back towards Jack. "Will has suffered enough! He was only trying to free his father, and he saw nothing but an opportunity. Now he has lost his love."

"Don't you think we all suffered enough, Danni?" Jack asked. He spun around, he was now standing outside his cabin. "I tried to teach you, all I knew, but it seems you are doing great on your own. Years I tried to protect you, but you always try and look for something better somewhere else…far from me! It seems none of us are worth your time, or mind. You want to save people, but you cannot save them all. It's impossible. Not all of us can be saved. Try saving what you can, and treasure your precious moments with those you actually love." His eyes left Danni's and landed on Ragetti for a few seconds before he looked back at Danni. "Telling the truth hurts, but it makes it better than the lies, which we all tell to make things look they are actually ok, when they are not."

He then simply turned around and entered the cabin, leaving his crew to sail the Pearl and Danni and Ragetti alone. Danni lowered her eyes, knowing what was coming, she held her breath, hoping she could find the right words to say.

"Danni…what did he mean by that?" She heard Ragetti ask.
