A/N: Hello, everybody! This is another 2 year drought story that I'm editing...I just haven't really paid attention to this story. Like...at all. I guess I also have been dragging my feet on this story because of Susan's…..let's just say….bittersweet ending. My family has the same number of kids, in the same order, and the same ages that the Pevensies do, which would make me the "Susan" of my family….which is why I get especially frustrated with her, because I know that I could act the same way as her. :l Anyways, I'm trying to finish up this story soon so that I can concentrate more on my huge multi-chapters (well, huge for me…), and maybe get in some oneshots….and graduate from high school in like 2 months. :) So, without further ado, please enjoy Susan's chapter!

DISCLAIMER: As usual, I don't own Narnia. I own the movies, but I don't own Narnia. C.S. Lewis does. Also, tremendous thanks to my beta, narniagirl11!

"Susan, Eve's Daughter," said Father Christmas. "These are for you," and he handed her a bow and a quiver full of arrows and a little ivory horn. "You must use the bow only in great need," he said, "for I do not mean you to fight in the battle. It does not easily miss. And when you put this horn to your lips and blow it, then, wherever you are, I think help of some kind will come to you." (Lion, Witch, Wardrobe Chpr 10)

Gentleness: The quality of being kind and careful

The bow and horn show her Gentleness. The bow shows her Gentleness because she is not meant to fight in the battles. This does not mean that she is not brave, and could not fight if she so chose. However, she makes the choice to stay at Cair Paravel and run the country in her brother(and sometimes sister)s' absence. She has taken a life before-the Dwarf Ginnabrik, who nearly killed her younger brother at the Battle of Beruna, but she finds killing distasteful, and will not do so unless she has no other choice. Instead, she stays at home, keeping the country alive and well while her siblings are out fighting for it. The bow also shows her Gentleness because it is not a close-range weapon like a sword or axe. Instead, it is a long-range weapon, which is perfect for Susan, as she does not like to see the people that she kills. She prefers to stay far away from the fighting unless she has no other choice.

The horn also shows her Gentleness. It shows her Gentleness because she knows she needs help. She is not the most physically strong person in the world, and there are many persons and situations in Narnia that would be too much for her to handle. It takes a wise, mentally strong, and careful person to call for help, and that is exactly what her horn is for. It is not a cop-out, something that she uses in every situation. In fact, on record, there are only two instances that her horn was blown. She prefers to use diplomacy and negotiating to get out of a stressful situation, even though she has the horn if she needs it. When a problem is too big for her to handle, however, that's when her horn comes into effect.
