Blowin Smoke

Lenny held her gun tightly in both hands as she crept up behind Tig keeping a tight formation, Tig stood flush against a pillar lowering his gun as Lenny came to a halt next to him.

"What's your plan?" Lenny asked

"Not getting shot usually works for me!" Tig flashed a grin at Lenny as she rolled her eyes, only Tig would get away with cracking a joke at such an inconvenient time.

The sound of gun shots cut echoed through the warehouse and before Tig could stop her Lenny was already sprinting towards the sound, he followed close behind her as they caught sight of Jax shoving David over the railing above.

They watched in slow motion as David fell from the raised walkway into a pile of crates, without a seconds hesitation Lenny ran to the area where he landed hoping to find him bleeding out but she did not anticipate his luck and wasn't prepared when David grabbed her . Lenny felt his forearm pressing against her throat as he held her against him close, the cold metal of the gun burning into her forehead as her captor clambered to his unsteady feet.

"Any closer and I blow her brains out!" David screamed at Jax who looked panicked and was beginning to lower his gun , he urged Tig to do the same.

"We're gonna go for a little drive aren't we Lenny. Now I've got her here we need to catch up. And I just know Eden is dying to see you," David smiled his twisted smile.

"David, let her go. We can get you the money to pay off the Lobo's. You don't have to do this, man" Jax pleaded with the deranged drug dealer, it was clear to see this kid was in way over his head. He had no intention of actually killing Lenny but he was desperate. Jax was slowly descending the steel stairs with caution so as not to panic David who had his gun pointed at the love of Jax's life.

"Jax, don't," Lenny sobbed as she grasped at David's arm trying to gasp some air into her starved lungs.

David was beginning to panic, he hadn't thought this plan through at all. He knew Lenny would come to the warehouse with Jax but Eden was meant to kill that stupid blonde biker so he could take his time in torturing Lenny-Ray before finally putting a bullet in her head. He clicked the safety of his gun as he stepped backward , he could hear Jax trying to negotiate with him but the blood rushing to his head was drowning out the sound.

Lenny felt the grip David had on her neck loosen a fraction and her instinct cut in and she sent her elbow back with all the force she could muster toward David's stomach. The impact caused him to let go of Lenny allowing her to sprint the short distance to Jax and Tig as David stood curled over gasping for air.

"You little bitch," he screamed out in frustration, "You just always have to fuck things up for me just when I get my shit in order," David fell to his knees as he sobbed.

Tig grabbed Lenny by her elbow and yanked her back behind him and Jax as she went to approach the broken man.

"Just kill me Jax," David pleaded, he knew his fate was sealed, he was either to die at the hands of a Son or one of the Logos crew. Either way he was a dead man living on borrowed time.

"You think you're gonna get it that easy David?!" Lenny taunted, "You've fucked with my life for months, you and that sick bitch Eden. You don't get to choose how this ends," Lenny could feel her anger building, all the events from the previous months running through her head. She could see Jax's trigger hand twitching, as he scratched at his beard, the thoughts running through the VP's mind were dark and twisted. Hayes needed to pay for the pain and suffering he had inflicted on his old lady and his club, Jax wanted to rip him limb from limb for every tear that Lenny had cried but he didn't want to take a kill away from the Lobos and cause a turf war.

"Just do it!" David whaled as he openly cried like a child.

"You don't deserve the easy way Hayes, I want the Lobos to take their time with you. Break your bones one by one and just when you on the brink of despair they'll show you a whole new level of pain," Jax cowered over David before grabbing Lenny's hand and leading her away from the broken man lying on the floor as his body was shaking as he sobbed.

The trio walked out in silence towards the Sons van and Tigs bike, Lenny couldn't believe Jax had just walked away from David after what he had done but her mind quickly returned to how she had done the same with Eden. Before they got into the van they heard the gun shot echo throughout the warehouse. Spinning to see Jax she saw the sly smile across his beautiful face, that was all part of his plan. For David to end it himself , this way the club was protected as it was a suicide not a murder.

"Good riddance," Tig saluted before slinging his leg over his bike.

"You not riding with us brother?" Jax enquired as he rested against the drivers door with Lenny to his side .

"Nah, I kinda wanna take the scenic route home. Stop off for a fee beers and maybe some pussy, something about hostage situations make me horny for some lovin' Tig fastened his helmet before kicking the engine to life. "Just make sure you two kids are safe,"

Lenny laughed as Tig pulled away leaving her and Jax alone.

"You okay?" Jax asked as he turned to face Lenny, still leaning on the truck keeping a little distance between them.

Lenny looked at the warehouse as she pushed her hair out if her face, "Yeah, I guess so," she turned to face Jax ," I guess that's it. It's over. David's dead,"

Jax nodded ,"and Eden?"

"I couldn't do it, I couldn't pull the trigger. I mean I hate her but I just couldn't kill her," Lenny looked up at Jax, she didn't know why she couldn't do it but in that second saving Jax was more important than her revenge.

Jax grabbed Lenny and pulled Lenny to him and covered her mouth with his own, the kiss was one of pure animalistic need as Jax slammed his girl into the side of the van grabbing her thigh and pulling it around him. Lenny hands went to Jax's hair as her nails dragged through it holding his as close as she could. neither one was ready to break contact, they had nearly lost each other tonight and needed to just feel each and enjoy what had nearly slipped their fingers.
