TO THE CHAPTER!
The vampire that walked in the room with the two dark robed ones smirked. He had blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail and wore vibrant blue contacts to conceal his red eyes from the mortal public. However, his pale skin and extreme perfection in looks made it clear he was not human to those that knew the secret.
Those that knew included the two other vampires in the room, as well as the four that soon followed the first three that entered. Two of the additional four were robed, but the other two were different. One was male and the other female. The female had vibrant red, curly hair and did not try to conceal her red eyes, while the male had surprisingly dark skin with dark dreadlocks, yet he also did not try to conceal his tell-tale eyes.
The three non-robed vampires were American nomads that were invited to Italy...specifically for the purpose of hunting down the fugitives of the vampire law.
As soon as the nomads were in the center of the room, the robed vampires dashed to dark corners of the room to await further instruction.
The two vampires that had been waiting both dressed in dark suits, with the one with long black hair in the darkest. Both wore silver pendants with their crest; one of the fugitives also wore the same crest.
The missing counterpart struck the nomads as strange, and made them uneasy.
The vampire with the dreads was the first to speak. "Where is your other member, Marcus?"
The black-haired vampire sighed, clasping his hands together. "I'm afraid that is why we invited you three here. Marcus has decided to become a traitor. He took something of ours, a special pet, and took off. I must say this action is shocking, as he seemed to hate the creature, but now that may have been all a ruse to get us to ignore him and let him plot to take her away for himself."
"Her?" the blue-eyed vampire asked, cocking his head like a curious dog.
The blond vampire in the dark suit nodded. "Yes, her."
"Just what kind of pet did you two have?"
The two vampires in the suit exchanged a crooked smile before the black-haired one spoke. "She was a human, one most suited for us."
"And...you didn't just kill her?!" the red-haired vampire exclaimed.
The suited vampires laughed. "Of course not! We were hoping she would become one of us...which is why we request your services."
The nomads exchanged hunger-filled glances before the blue-eyed one looked up at the others. "What are you trying to say?"
The black-haired vampire smiled. "I knew you would be interested. We are asking you three to find Marcus and the pet. Belle is her name-"
"Though you may find her using the name Victoria Swan again," the blonde vampire interjected.
The nomads nodded slowly.
The black-haired vampire cleared his throat. "Now, you will probably ask what's in it for you..."
The blue-eyed vampire shrugged. "No, I'm actually more interested in the fact that you chose us rather than your guard to go after them."
The suited vampires smiled again. "Because Marcus will recognize the Guard, but he will not recognize you."
The three nomads smiled, but the one with the dreadlocks then asked, "But, yes, you have a good point, Aro. What is in it for us?"
"Does not the idea of tearing Marcus apart fill you with enough glee?"
"We want her."
"No," the blonde vampire in the suit hissed. "She is mine."
"Then we will not help you."
The blonde vampire sighed. "Fine. The five of us can share her, I suppose. She will make an excellent dessert, I suppose."
"If Marcus doesn't change her first," the red-headed vampire retorted.
"Oh he wont," the black-haired vampire said with a sickening smile. "If this was a supposed 'rescue mission', he wouldn't have the heart to bite her."
