Here it is! Another new chapter as promised. Enjoy!

Too late.

I was too late.

Loki's head was leaned back onto the tree and his eyes were closed. There were tiny pieces of ice on his cheeks. Had he been crying before... before he...

I collapsed into the snow, shivering, tears running down my face. "Loki," I choked out, "please, no." I realized that, as cliche as it sounds, I had fallen in love with him. Somewhere between the shared meals and joking banter Loki had found his way into my heart. And now I had lost him.

It was so cold.

I leaned forward, wrapping my arms around Loki's neck and burying my face in his shirt. His skin was freezing.

I was so tired. Sitting down felt so good.

I knew I needed to get back to the house, but I didn't want to leave Loki out in the woods.

I'd get up in a minute. I needed to rest.

My legs were so heavy.

The cold wasn't that bad...

I'd just close my eyes for a few seconds and...

then... I'd go...

So... tired...

Sorry. I'm a mean person.
