suntan140: I can't say anything without exposing but you'll just have to keep reading to find out.

: I understand what you mean but she shouldn't just abandon the Vongola cause of them. Many from Vongola are still supporting her and it makes no sense to have her abandon them for no reason when she was upset that her ex guardians abandoned her. While it may seem peaceful now wait til it gets to chapter five. I think the moment when all her emotions of fury explode out should be the moment she confronts them.

Shiny Slyveon: I think you might really like this chapter then!

Whiteicewolf: Doesn't mean he won't later on~ Or better yet, let Tsunaki get back at them! The possibilities!

luckycharmkuroko: I cant say that this wont be romance cause I clearly even placed it as romance but I will try not to rush into though there may be fluff now, there wont be romance til way later on cause theres just too much hurt right now for her to actually get involved with anyone. I'm glad to hear that you enjoy my story!

lidiagiron13: She still hasn't confronted her guardians so can you just imagine all the feels that you will go through once I get to there?

Chapter 3

Long, thick eyelashes fluttered open, revealing honey brown orbs that were glazed over with sleep. Tsunaki tried to lift up her hands to rub her face when she realized something was restricting her arms. Memories of yesterday rushed into her mind, awakening her from her half asleep state.

Tsunaki silently sighed, staring at the white ceiling through half-lidded eyes. Guess yesterday really did happen, pink lips quirked into a bitter smile. Gazing unseeingly at the ceiling, the brunette submerged herself in a sea of thoughts. It was probably the best time to think now that she was calmer, thoughts untainted by anger and tears.

Looking back at the past few weeks, she should have expected this to happen. It wasn't as though they were subtle about their unease but she had refused to see the truth, making excuse after excuse about why they weren't around. They had a lot of club activities to deal with, the teachers have been assigning them tortuous amounts of homework. The list of excuses just kept growing until she couldn't deny that they were avoiding her anymore.

She wasn't the only one to notice this though. Her old bullies had caught on that for some reason she was alone again and the bullying resumed, although it consisted of less people than before. Perhaps she should just glare at them and blast them with flames like Xanxu, Tsunaki chuckled.

Wanting some fresh air, Tsunaki carefully escaped Reborn's embrace. Lightly petting Leon as she passed by the sleeping chameleon. Cheerful humming could be heard from the kitchen, signalling that Nana was awake. For a moment Tsunaki stood outside the kitchen and listened to the cheerful tune fondly. It would always brighten her mood as a child when she heard her mother hum that cheerful tune.

Nana abruptly stopped, humming, noticing her daughter's presence. Warm brown eyes narrowing slightly at her daughter's appearance. She was dressed in her school uniform which was wrinkled as though she had slept in it. Unruly brown locks a mass of tangles instead of their usually messily neat style. Her eyes were slightly red and puffy, almost unnoticeably if you weren't looking closely enough. Her maternal instincts screamed at her to figure out what was wrong but something told her that now wasn't the right time to ask.

Biting the insides of her cheek, she smiled warmly despite her worries. Nana prepared three plates of breakfast. Tsunaki kissed her mother's cheek as she greeted her, offering her assistance in preparing breakfast. Nana cooed at how sweet her daughter was before shooing her out of the kitchen. The brunette waiting patiently at the dining table when Reborn walked in. Blushing a pretty pink, Tsunaki shyly greeted Reborn who lazily smirked back in response. She fidgeted with her fingers nervously as Reborn came back from the kitchen with an espresso.

Things between Reborn and her felt different now, he had seen her at her most vulnerable and had comforted her, even staying with her when she asked. Her perspective of him had changed, she no longer saw him as just her sadistic tutor but as a man. However she still didn't understand what it was that she felt.

The scent of Nana's delicious cooking broke her from her train of thought. They all clapped their hands together and mumbled a prayer of thanks. So focused on her breakfast, Tsunaki missed Reborn's mischievous smirk and Nana's questioning stare. A loud screech was heard as Tsunaki pushed back her chair to stand up. Excusing herself from the table, the brunette placed her dirty dishes in the sink with a soft clatter then retreated to her room.

It was silent in the dining room as Reborn and Nana ate. Reborn nonchalantly sipped his espresso, nodding thankfully at Nana when she volunteered to put his dishes away. Nana nibbled her bottom lip hesitantly, unsure about how to approach Reborn with her question. Taking a deep breathe, Nana opted to be blunt. "I admit to being oblivious to things sometimes but that doesn't mean I'm not aware of when something is troubling my daughter. Which is why I wish to ask you what happened." Nana explained, chocolate brown eyes glowing with determination.

Piercing black orbs glinted amusedly, fedora overshadowing his face slightly. He had known that Nana was more observant than others gave her credit for but it seems that he had still underestimated her. "I'm sure you're aware of Tsunaki's position in the mafia and how it works by now." Reborn stated, fingers laced together as he rested his chin on top.

Nana nodded slightly, Tsunaki had explained everything to her about the Vongola, Guardians, famglias and other things as well. "Her Guardians who you're well familiar with have abandoned their sky, Tsunaki. Which lead to their positions as her Guardians becoming void. It is still unknown about how this will affect her because this is the first time that something like this has happened which is why I decided that it is too dangerous to let Tsunaki wander around alone. Until reinforcement comes, she is to stay with me so that I can watch over her." Reborn explained, expression darkening towards the end.

"I guess I was wrong about them, they're no better than the spoiled brats who bully Tsunaki." Reborn raised an eyebrow questioningly, it seems even a sweet lady like Nana Sawada could be aggressive. It seems that he would have to re-evaluate what he knew about her because he had underestimated her severely.

Taking deep breathes, Nana calmed herself down. There was no need to get herself all worked her up when there was nothing she could do yet. Brown eyes narrowed seriously, lips pressed into a thin line. "What are your feelings towards my daughter? I may like you but if you hurt my daughter…" The unspoken threat hanging in the air.

Reborn frowned, no longer as surprised that she noticed. "I'll admit that I have feelings for your daughter but I doubt you have anything to worry about," Reborn started, eyes filled with sincerity. "I'm just a sadistic tutor to her. Not to mention the age difference.

Brown eyes softened with sympathy. "You think too lowly about yourself." Nana scolded, frowning slightly. "I know my daughter very well and I don't believe that she thinks of you as only a sadistic tutor. If you don't give it a chance then you're only going to end up regretting it. Besides, I wouldn't mind having you as a son." Nana teased, eyes glinting knowingly. Excusing herself to go grocery shopping, she skipped out of the house while humming cheerfully.

Reborn pondered on what she said for a few moments before pulling out a sleek black cell phone, Reborn reported the situation to Nono before contacting a few individuals. He could already imagine the destruction they will cause.

Suddenly, the sound of the violin filled the house, a solemn and slow song. Reborn propped his cheek against the palm of his hand, eyes closed shut as he listened. Recognizing the song as Schindler's List. Upon his first arrival at the Sawada's residence, he had discovered that Tsunaki was brilliantly skilled at the violin having learned since a young age. Not many knew due to Tsunaki's lack of confidence in playing in front of others.

After being tutored by him for so long, her shy mask had slowly diminished to reveal her vibrant personality as she grew more confident about herself. She still preferred for her skills to remain private, though it wouldn't be such a big deal to her if others had found out about it. The individuals that he had contacted should be arriving around midnight at the latest.

It wouldn't hurt to do some training, not to mention he'll need to whether her sky flames were affected by the loss of her guardians. However at the moment he'll give her an hour or two to herself. True to his word, Reborn had allowed two hours of leisure time to play the violin before dragging her out to train.

They had sparred with their flames, clashing blow after blow until the sun had started to set. Reborn had still won but Tsunaki was able to land some hits on him as well. There hadn't seemed to be anything wrong with her flames to the untrained eye. But Reborn's sharp eyes had noticed that Tsunaki had been producing more flames than usual.

Unfamiliar with producing so much flames, her control was unbalanced causing her to either waste flames from overpowering her flames or not to work as effectively due to not using enough flames. At the moment it wasn't such a big deal however it was still very worrisome. He needed to get her checked by Shamal soon because despite how childish and perverted he may seem, Shamal was still the world's greatest doctor.

Unfortunately, when Reborn had contacted him, Shamal had stated that he was in the middle of some urgent mission and couldn't come back for at least two weeks. A sense of dread coiled in his gut, he could only pray that nothing happened to Tsunaki until Shamal came back.

Tsunaki flopped onto a patch of grass, struggling to calm her breathing. Training had been exhausting as usual however she was thankful for the distraction. Sitting up, she watched as the sky bled a soft orange. It was breathtaking to watch to sunset, the sky turning into such mesmerizing colours that harmonized together beautifully as the sun slowly descended down.

For the next hour, Reborn and Tsunaki quietly sat side by side, just observing the sky. Reborn turned his head when he felt extra weight on his shoulder, Tsunaki had felt herself slowly falling asleep, the sky leaving a calming effect that left her feeling drowsy as her head descending onto Reborn's shoulder. Reborn smiled fondly at her, not one of his smug smirks but a smile.

Deciding to stay like that just a little longer. That idiot, always so trusting of others, what if he had been an assassin assigned to kill her and she had let her guard down like this? But he supposed that was her charm she didn't care about your past because she believed that a person's past didn't define them and that everyone deserves a chance.

Reborn chuckled softly, most of the people she knew now had tried to kill her at one point yet somehow she was able to forgive them and become friends. Deciding it was time to head home, he carefully shifted Tsunaki onto his back, mindful of waking her up. It was starting to get late, the time quickly approaching nine o'clock.

Opening the door with the spare key Nana had given to him, Reborn announced his presence, noticing the extra shoes by the door, seems like they had arrived earlier than expected. He was in the process of taking Tsunaki's shoes off when she woke up. Her mouth stretched wide as she softly yawned, her first rubbing her eyes sleepily. Noticing that she was home instead of at the mountain, she concluded that Reborn had carried her home. Smiling gratefully at him, Tsunaki stood up feeling sore.

"You have such charming friends, Tsunaki!" Nana swooned, her hands cupped around her cheeks. "So polite and handsome!" Tsunaki tilted her head questioningly, she didn't remember inviting anyone over. "Voi! How long are you going to just stand there?!" A loud voice hollered from the living room.
