A month has gone by and things were not going well, she hated to admit it but she wanted to kill him, she just wanted to kill Darren. For the past month, once a day for every week, Insanity has been letting Simon come to her house fully sane. The bad part was that she knew what he was doing with her, she was the daughter of pure evil, and this tactic was one for the weak willed. Where people are lured with something they most want, tempting them, then snatching it away for some time and bringing it back. She should know, she was with her father when he tortured demons. Where he would place a demon in a contained room, no openings, no sounds to be heard, just darkness. Then he would give them a hour of freedom, then place them back in the dark till their wills were broken. This was frustrating for her she was close to snapping his neck in night, just quick and simple, he won't feel a thing and no one would think she would...no, ugh, she screamed in her head punching the wall causing a hole to be made. "I need some fresh air." She spoke to herself getting her sun hat and just deciding to head out somewhere.

Marceline flew aimlessly, the next thing she knew it she was at the Candy Kingdom, she minus well visit her old friend, she really needed someone to talk to. Marceline opened the window on the side of the castle to see Bubblegum inside looking at a screen. Marceline crept towards her preparing to scare her. "NOO." Bubblegum yelled furiously scaring Marceline a bit with her outburst. "Just make sure it doesn't go anywhere, it's harmless, ugh." Bubblegum screamed towards a device in her ear, the screen showed some sort weird abomination of a candy person within the screen. It stood 8 feet tall, had a big bulky body, it looked like the body was a collage of purple colored candy and small gumdrops that were just melted together, it had no mouth or ears, neither had clothing or hair, just big yellow eyes.

"Bubblegum are you sure I can't just kil-"

"No, I assigned you guys to find and bring him back." Bubblegum yelled interrupting Darren a sigh was heard from the other line.

"Uh Bubblegum." Marceline finally spoke causing the princess to jump a little turning towards her.

"Oh, Marceline how long have you.."

"What is that?" Marceline asked pointing towards the 'thing' in the screen, Darren soon came into view as he waved his arms in front of the thing.

"That's just an experiment I was working on, it got scared and ran away I had Finn go and find him and bring it back." Bubblegum told.

"Interesting." Marceline told looking around till something got her attention, a red box sitting on the table. Marceline floated towards the box shaking a little till she could fully see the box, this was the same box she was told to place in the woods, the inside empty, except for some dust and some weird dried up liquid. "Bubblegum." Marceline asked getting the princess' attention. "What was inside this box." Marceline asked half scared.

"Oh nothing much just something I found in the woods and used for well him." Bubblegum told pointing towards the creature.

"Okay, excuse me for a bit." Marceline said going outside the room. "okay, he said to.." Marceline spoke to herself thinking hard. "Puff of smoke, puff of smoke, puff of-"Marceline thought rapidly outloud.

"WHAT." Insanity yelled.

"Insanity what was in that box." Marceline growled.

"Depends which one-"

"The one you told me to deliver, and why does Bubblegum have it." Marceline growled again.

"Oh, fuck, you were not suppose to know th-"

"INSANITY." Marceline yelled.

"Fine, it was Darren's old bones and brain." Insanity told causing Marceline to become quiet. "And why Bubblegum had it, well even though my influence is weak with her, thanks to that damn crown of hers, I still managed to do something. And ta-da, she made a monster."

"Why?" Marceline asked.

"Well it's not like I haven't done it before. I mean when she made a contract with me, I had her make creatures to help her with her kingdom, too bad they never worked. I mean the first experiment she made, it wasn't Lemongrab, no it looked like something your father would throw up then punch it repeatedly, and man was it a killer, poor old Mr. Cream puff. Her second experiment was Peppermint, good little thing only problem was, leave him alone and his maniacal side would come undone, yeah not one of my best choices. Her third experiment was Cinnamon Bun, I mean fuck, we messed up with that guy, too much power, he could have literally go toe to toe with the Lich for five minutes, that's the only reason we kept him around, his pure strength and power. Then came Lemongrab, eh. Then Goliad, perfect, then she fucked it up giving it to Finn. Then this thing, I mean hell, we placed Darren's mind in that thing, there's nothing left in there except pure hatred, and killing instinct, and just like all her failures, she would send someone to clean it up, I'm just waiting till it goes on a rampage." Insanity said. Before Marceline could say a word Bubblegum screamed, Marceline flew inside and her face went incredibly pale, the screen showed a passed out Darren, a bruised and beat up Jake, and Finn, half his body under the ground with his feet only showing.

~~~~~~~A few moments earlier~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Finn, Jake, and Darren were bringing back the creature to the Candy kingdom, it was just following them. "So were just suppose to bring this thing back right." Darren asked.

"Yeah so- Darren look out." Finn yelled, Darren lifted an eyebrow while the creature swung at Darren with its giant hand knocking him towards a tree knocking him out completely. Finn growled grabbing a sword from his back running towards the creature giving out a battle cry and jabbed at him to miss. The creature was at Finn's side grabbing him by the neck hoisting him in the air crushing the air out of him. Finn was losing oxygen, to be saved thanks to Jake punching the creature away. Finn coughed a little, filing his lungs with much needed oxygen.

"Finn you all right." Jake asked Finn helping him up.

"Yeah." Finn said getting to his feet.

"Good cause, ahh." Jake screamed being pulled towards the creature once at length the creature began to pummel Jake's bread and butter. Then grab his hind legs and begin to swing him in the air repeatedly smashing him against the tress around them. Finn's rage building up, ran towards the creature sword swinging wildly, the creature was still hitting Jake against trees till it saw Finn running towards it, the creature stopped its movements while Finn leaped into the air feeling weightless, time moved slow as he was bringing his sword down. Then time move at its normal speed when the creature used Jake like a bat hitting Finn in the face knocking high into the air. Finn groaned opening his eyes to see the creature in front of him. The creature grabbed Finn, swinging him in circles, gravity pulling them towards the earth, Finn continued to scream seeing the Earth come closer till the creature smashed him into the ground causing a small crater to be formed. The creature stood up looking around to see everyone unconscious and slowly walk away.

~~~~~At the Candy kingdom~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"We should have killed it." Darren said rubbing his head. The three were at the lab of Bubblegum, getting their wounds healed. Finn was all right, Jake needed some rest for his face, Bubblegum was looking at the screen for any signs of the creature walking amok. "Any sign of...what the hell do we call it."

"Monster." Jake yelled.

"You're yelling at me, or for the 'things' name." Darren asked, while Jake just groaned a response.

"Shh, quiet, I got a reading." Bubblegum spoke as the screen showed the forest, trees passing by. "I had a camera implanted into its eye for just an emergency." Bubblegum told, the creature continued to walk till a lake was in view. The creature stepped towards it looking into its own reflection. It's eyes widened, its body shook looking to its own hands, they were trembling, it began to touch its face. It looked to the side to see a rusty knife nearby. The creature took it and looked at the reflection in the river, it began to cut its face. Many looked away while it did so, in the end the creature had carved a mouth to its face, the skin beginning to mold and rebuild, sounds were heard from it.

"Whyet ary ehy, wheru ary thyu, where are they, where are they, where are they." It spoke in eerie ghostly tone, everyone just starred at the screen and it lost its signal.

"This is idiotic." Darren told. "We had our asses handed to us, and you're plan to beat it, is to split up." Darren told towards the earpiece in his ear.

"Darren deal with it, you got a weapon this time." Bubblegum told.

"It's a fucking candy cane." Darren yelled.

"Better then nothing so I suggest you-*crush, crunch, crush*-what is that?" Bubblegum asked worriedly looking at the screen to see if the monster was there.

"Oh don't worry, I'm just eating the candy cane." Darren said as the crunching and crushing sound continued.

"Darren." Finn yelled.

"What, I'm not going to make stupid noises to make this thing shoot." Darren yelled while continuing to eat the candy cane.

"Look, just look for the 'creature' and bring it back." Bubblegum told, hearing a yup, from Finn and Jake, then a weak groan from Darren. "Darren just-"

"Where are they." The creature's voice was heard.

"Finn, Jake go towards Darren location." Bubblegum yelled.

"We're on it PB." Finn yelled, Bubblegum looked toward the tracers on the screen to show Finn and Jake approaching Darren's location till all the blinking dots were at the same location.

"Stop, you're right on top of him, were are they." Bubblegum yelled and looked at the live screen view to show no Darren or the creature till some red goo got on the cameras lens. "Jake are you eating a jelly donut?" Bubblegum asked frustrated.

"What no, why would you say that." Jake asked offended. "Huh? What the- ahh." Jake screamed when he looked up to show Darren hanging by a tree, his foot tied to a line his body hanging upside down. "Finn." Jake screamed scared pointing up.

"Oh my life, Jake get him-" Finn stopped when Jake's scream was heard, Finn turned to see Jake being dragged into some bushes. Bubblegum looked towards Jake's camera to see leaves, and branches hitting the camera, Jake's screaming continuing. Then stopped when the creature was in view, it lifted its fist, and asked the same question before punching Jake and breaking the camera, losing communication again. Bubblegum placed her attention towards Finn's camera that showed that he was trying to get Darren out of the trap.

Finn was about to get near him to be pulled downward and land on his back knocking the air out of him. Finn looked up and rolled out of the way before the creature's foot stomped down at him. Finn got out his two swords beginning to encircle the creature. Finn ran towards the creature, swinging for his head, to have the creature dodge and land a punch to his stomach. The force violent enough to send him flying towards a tree and knock the air and some blood out of him. Finn coughed as the creature got closer to him. Dragging along a giant branch about to use it like a club to break open Finn's head, the creature raised the branch and brought it down. The creature looked to see Finn was gone. It looked around to see Marceline holding Finn by one arm, Jake on her back, while she was freeing Darren from the snare he was in. The creature threw the branch at her missing, she flew towards the Candy Kingdom at top speed. The creature looked towards where she was flying and decided to follow, slowly.

The three were on tables in the lab, Bubblegum wanted to keep this incident on a need to know bases, so no one should know about it. "Marceline I need you to go fight it, if you have to, kill it." Bubblegum told, Marceline gave a smile, she needed something to take her anger out on. Marceline flew towards the creature, it was already halfway towards the kingdom, Marceline flew down in front of it, she grabbed her axe base from her back holding it with her two hands. The creature just standing there, continually asking the same question again and again. She flew towards it axe raised above her head inches in front of the creature, she was about to bring the axe down. To be stopped, she looked and saw that the creature stopped her axe base with its hand. She looked towards it to have her face kicked, she hovered for a moment wiping some blood from her nose.

Her eyes flashed red, flying towards the creature again, she swung at it, it was about to block so Marceline changed directions swinging it a full 360 degrees backwards slashing at the creature's chest. She smiled victoriously till a shrill scream came from the ear piece Bubblegum gave her. "Bubblegum what the heck." Marceline screeched.

"Darren's bleeding from his chest, oh glob he's going into shock." Bubblegum spoke, Darren's screams were still heard. Marceline looked towards the creature. "Hey Insanity."

"What?"

"Why is Darren hurt."

"Because you hurt that."

"Why?"

"Because that thing has Darren's bones. You see when Darren made a contract with me, a special kind that had to go deeper then just the skin it had to affect his soul. At the same time it affected his bones, even though his no longer connected to the bones, they're bound. So what ever happens to that thing happens to Darren. I'm a little disappointed though a little more deeper slash and that would have killed Darren. And Bubblegum would have been blamed for his death."

"WHAT?"

"What do you mean what, someone needs to take the blame."

"You said my friends won't be harmed in this." Marceline yelled seeing as the creature was getting up, it turned towards her, her eyes widened to see the wound begin to heal up and disappear. "Bonnie, does this thing have the power to heal?" Marceline asked between the yells on the other line.

"Y-yes, I kinda added some cyclops tears to its DNA, I didn't think it would help it." Bubblegum told.

"Oh, tricky. Besides Marceline, like I said. You won't be caught, but I did find a loophole, how else do you think that thing is able to punch the crap out of Finn if we have a contract. Bubblegum made that thing, and she's the one that sent them into battle, so not necessarily breaking our contract. Besides Bubblegum made that thing so if Darren dies all the blame will go to her. So what are you waiting for kill it. I literally feel your anger, your frustration, your- oh shit." Insanity said snapping Marceline back to reality to see the creature charge at her tackling her though trees. Breaking a few of her bones and her back to bleed from the impact of the trees. The creature grabbed her head in its massive hand and brought her head towards the ground repeatedly smashing her head to it. Marceline trying to remain conscious as the three voices continued to ring in her head.

"Marceline get out of there before you- Marceline just kill it kill i- Where are they."

Finn was slowly gaining consciousness, the sound of yelling reached his ears, he turned to see Darren in a pool of his blood, straining to be free. He turned to see the screen to show Marceline being repeatedly beaten. Finn looked around to see what could possibly help.

Marceline was in the ground her face slowly healing up, the creature had its foot on top of her so she couldn't move. "You couldn't have killed him."

"Not if my friends suffer for my mistakes." Marceline told she looked up to see the creature with her axe base hoisting above it's head.

"Hope you can survive decapitation. Nice knowing you Marceline." She looked at the creature in the eye,it had her axe base above its head ready to bring it down upon her, then it stopped it looked forward tilting its head. Marceline looked towards where it was looking at, green smoke and debris started to come together.

"Yeah." Finn's voice was heard, while his body began to form from the smoke and started a barrage of hits to the creatures face knocking it off balance. Marceline's axe base fell almost cutting off her head.

"Where the fuck did he come from?" Insanity yelled. Finn picked up Marceline bridal style, beginning to run away from the creature as fast as he could.

"Finn!" Marceline groaned weakly.

"Don't worry Marceline I'm taking you to the Candy Kingdom." Finn told her as the creatures roar was heard, the sound of trees being knocked over were heard warning them he was advancing.

"That would be great, if you weren't running the wrong way." Marceline told him causing Finn to stop. Marceline fully healed she got off Finn's arms, to be knocked to the ground by Finn. "Finn what the-" She stopped when he pointed towards the tree where her axe was impaled into. The creature came into view huffing and snarling looking at the two.

"Marceline can you distract it, I have a plan." Finn whispered to her, she turned around to find him gone.

"Finn." Marceline yelled in frustration, then towards the creature she grabbed her base from the tree. She right now wished she could turn to a beast or something, but the sun would kill her, and she couldn't exactly fly away, her sunhat was gone, so fighting was her choice.

Bubblegum was trying her best to keep Darren alive, they placed him within a liquid contained to heal him faster, but it didn't seem to help, he somehow continually got cuts and slashes from thin air. They were working with limited supply of Cyclops tears that he kept in his pocket, he gave a few to Finn to go help Marceline, and used some of her teleporting orbs to get there, she just hopped they were all right.

Marceline was breathing deeply, she was doing her best to keep the damage to a minimum, Insanity told her the only parts that wouldn't hurt the real Darren was his legs, and left arm. She chopped them off, only to have the creature place them back on. She was getting frustrated, and where the heck was Finn. The creature prepared to come at her again, reattaching its left leg for the 10th time. Marceline prepared herself, from the shadows Finn came down on the creatures head and smashed something on its head, and jumped back landing near Marceline. "What took you so long." Marceline asked.

"Looking for a perfect opportunity." Finn told then paid their attention back to the creature its body being surrounded by a green mist.

"Where are they." The creature spoke like nothing has happened.

"And that was suppose to do what exactly?" Marceline asked the creature slowly walking towards them, Finn standing his ground.

"Where are t-" The creature stopped when it took a step, and the candy skin broke off showing some of the bone underneath. The creature looked towards Finn and began to walk towards him. Both of them stood their grounds waiting for the creature to attack. Each step causing the candy skin to break off. The creature stood before the two, some parts of its skin still on, shakily raising its hand stopping in front of Finn. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." Finn said shaking the creatures hand, the last of its skin breaking showing only the skeleton, now standing a mere 6 ft tall, parts of the bones having what looked like burns and a symbol upon its forehead, the skeleton giving a chuckle till it disappeared.

"WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED?"

Everyone was back at the Candy Kingdom, Finn explaining that when he saw the orbs, he remembered Bubblegum say it would send the person where the person was thinking and decided to use them on the creature. It worked only one problem. "Where exactly is he Finn, you do know he could be out there rampaging a town." Bubblegum scolded him for his reckless actions. Right now she was looking trying to get a signal from it to see where it maybe, nothing. Marceline hasn't heard from Insanity, he was pissed, she knew that much. Finn was looking towards Darren he was inside a tank filled with green slime, his body twitching from time to time.

"You're majesty, we got something it's weak but we got a signal." Peppermint Butler said, Bubblegum went towards a control panel and started to flip switches, around the candy Kingdom power started to be drained.

"Everything shall be all right, just some power outage for a while." She said speaking through a megaphone to her Kingdom. Then went towards the screen, the screen showed clouds, passing by at an incredibly fast speed. He must be at Cloud Kingdom till it passed though some golden gates, the view had small static but they could hear perfectly, it sounded like laughter from different people, the screen showed the outline of people all surrounding the view. "I'm finally home." A voice was heard then a small chuckle then the view was lost forever. "Peppermint, find me the location." Bubblegum demanded, Peppermint punching in some numbers then stopped when the results came in. "Well." She asked.

"They're inconclusive." Peppermint told her, Bubblegum just standing there speechless of what place they were seeing. Inside the container where Darren was in, his body slowly stopped twitching, a small smile forming in his face.
