Things have been going slow, but for Finn, it was torture. 4 days stuck within the inside of the house. Right now he was running back and forth to the window to see the outside of the plains, then back to the clock to see the small hands tick just waiting till his sentence was over and he could finally go outside and do anything. Jake was playing BMO sometimes seeing Finn run back and forth. Darren was at the Candy Kingdom, Princess Bubblegum called for his audience. So it was a quiet day for once, which was boring for Finn.
"Guys, you there." Princess Bubblegum's voice was heard, Finn and Jake turned to see a holo-imager turned on with an image of Bubblegum on it. Both of them walked towards the holo-imager so Bubblegum could see them. "Oh, good. I need you two to come to the castle immediately." She told them, before they could ask why the crystal turned off. The two looked at each other then proceded to go to the Candy Kingdom. After some time they reached Princess Bubblegum's Lab. "Finally, I need you guys to do something for me, it's very drastic." She told walking towards where a lot of machinery, wires, and a giant screen were at, all of it connected to five weird looking chairs. One of them containing Darren, peacefully asleep with a helmet with wires attached to his head. "I need you guys to go inside Darren." She told.
"Okay." Finn told unsure, Jake turned tiny and got on Finn's palm. Finn walked towards Darren's body, Bubblegum looking at them questionably at what they're doing. Finn opened Darren's mouth and was about to slip Jake into Darren's mouth.
"WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING NOT THAT WAY." Bubblegum yelled towards the two.
"Well how else, because I ain't going through the other way PB." Jake told gaining an annoyed groan from the Princess.
"We're not going throught those ways, dweebs." A voice was heard everyone turned to see Marceline floating near the corner.
"Marceline, what are you doing here?" Finn asked.
"Bubblegum." Marceline answered.
"And to cut it short, I'm going to send you guys inside Darren's brain." Bubblegum told.
"Why?" Jake asked.
"Because I need some info and to see if my theory is correct. Also, remember when we all broke out of Wizard City." She asked all of them, everyone shook their heads. "Remember when he whispered into our ears, tell me. Have you ever shared that secret with anyone." Bubblegum asked, all of them thinked hard and they never told that secret to anyone. "That's why I'm sending you in his mind, there you can find those secrets and destroy them. You'll go to his memories and make sure you disrupt that memory so he won't remember it." Bubblegum told.
"So how will we find it." Finn asked.
"Considering he knows your secret, and you alone know it, both minds' inner nerves of your neurons shall allow you to roam through his mind and safely reach the passage where his memory core and find the information he holds that you have." Bubblegum told realizing she lost them from the look on their faces. Marceline let out a groan.
"In idiot terms, thanks to both of you knowing the secret all you have too do is trust your instincts and it will lead you to the memory." Marceline told them, gaining an 'oh' from the two.
"Good, now lay down on any of the chairs and we'll get started." Bubblegum told. The reason she was doing this was to find out if Darren was that person that obliterated Lemongrab, she heard Lemonhope's story and it sounded like Darren. So once she sends Finn and the others she'll use their minds as a map to navigate though his mind. And find out if he is that yang character and arrest him using his own memory. Also so she can figure out how he knew so much of them, that's why Marceline was called for, considering the same secret relates to them. All she had to do is send Marceline inside and let her do the dirty work. Now all she had to do was flip a switch and...
Finn was relaxing on the chair, till clamps came from the chair holding him down, then a helmet attached to his head, then blankness.
Finn opened his eyes and all he saw was white, white, and more white for miles it was blinding just to see anywhere. "FINN" Jake's voice was heard, Finn turned around to see Jake and Marceline right behind him.
"Hello, can you guys hear me?" Bubblegum's voice was heard from nowhere.
"Princess?" Finn yelled.
"Great, you made it, but somethings wrong. I should have gotten an image on the screen to see you guys, but there's nothing. Are you guys inside his mind?" Bubblegum asked.
"I don't think so, Bubblegum. There's nothing here, no sign of life or anything. Like you send us to a white room that goes forever." Marceline told.
"Well, keep going straight and see if there's anything in that direction." Bubblegum told, the trio obeyed and headed straight.
The three continued walking for what seemed like miles, then they saw a small dot from far away. Finn was the one that began to run towards it. As he came closer he noticed what it was, or who. It was a human boy, he had white colored skin, had a mixture of black and brown hair that went beyond his back, he wore dirty and tattered white clothes and was sitting on top a boulder. The human looked up, his cheek bones were caved in and it seemed like he hasn't eaten in years. The other two finally got there to see what Finn was looking at. Finn took a step forward and the boy got off the boulder, Finn got to a stance and the boy was in the same stance. Finn looked at him questionably, and so did the boy. Finn stood straight, the boy copied him. Finn raised his hand and the boy copied his actions. Finn did multiple poses and the boy copied each one of his movements.
"Hehehe, hey guys this guys all right." Finn told them, but when he turned around his friends eyes were wide and full of shock. Finn turned around to find the boy now looked like him, he had his clothing and his features, except his hat wasn't being worn by his double. Finn raised his hand to see if he would follow, instead the double scowled and punched him in the face knocking Finn off his balance and stumbling backwards. Finn looked at his double in rage. He reached to grab his sword to find he didn't have it. "Darn it I need a sword." Finn yelled slowly pieces of the ground and the mere air his grass sword materialized in front of him. Finn grasped it and waved it around then pointed it towards his double. The double looked at Finn for while. The double holded out his two hands out and from thin air two demon blood swords appeared.
Finn ran towards the double, swinging his sword to the double's side to have it blocked easily. The double swung his sword, Finn dodged by leaping backwards he smiled till the double jumped forward, Finn raised his sword ready to bring it down. Suddenly feeling an intense pain in his stomach, the swords were impaled to his stomach, he left himself wide open. The double pulled the swords out and spun around in the air using the side of his swords to hit Finn sending him flying backwards and out of sight.
Marceline and Jake stood there seeing Finn get beat up and thrown away like a rag doll. Marceline raised her hand. "I want my axe base." She told and her axe base appeared in front of her. She grabbed it and flew towards the double bringing the base down on it. The double blocked it with one sword, the impact causing a gust of wind to be made, she grinded her teeth trying her hardest to make him move. The double not showing any sign of emotion, not even taking notice that the floor he stood on began to cave in. The double swung his sword at her. Marceline flew out of reach then went for another attack. The double simply blocking her attacks with ease.
Marceline got closer both of their weapons locked in combat, separating for a moment to have their weapons clash and have sparks fly. Marceline forcing the double back towards the boulder, the double taking notice desperately trying to move forward. Marceline continued to push him backwards. She was prepared for any attack, except when the double grabbed her by her shirt and brought her closer. She didn't expect the next thing, the double kissing her deeply. Marceline stood there shocked and to her disgust liked it, she always imagined kissing Finn and she always thought of it like this. Blinded she didn't notice the double bring his sword forward shoving it straight through Marceline's chest and come out the other end. She let out a gasp and lose her grip on her axe, the double grabbed it quickly and swiftly swung it deep into Marceline's shoulder having the weapon cut through her shoulder blade and some of her organs, the double grabbed her by the neck and threw her as far as he could.
Jake stood there slightly shaking in fear, the double and him just stood there staring at each other, Jake took the first move he enlarged his hands and ran towards the double about to land a punch. To have the double catch Jake's punch and twist it backwards. Jake got to his knees while the double continued to bend Jake's arm backwards, Jake starred as the double grabbed his face.
Finn was trying to get up, he wasn't bleeding and the wounds from the swords were gone. Finn raced towards his imposter as fast as he could. While running he saw Marceline getting off the ground and yanking her axe base out of her, her body quickly healing from the attack. Jake's screams were heard up ahead. Finn ran faster and saw his imposter, his back turned and it seemed he was doing something to Jake. His double turned around to show he tied Jake up and had him in the shape of a football. His double threw Jake towards him, Jake screamed from being thrown and spun in the air. Finn jumped and caught his brother to be blind sided with an uppercut from his double. The double began to send an onslaught of punches to Finn's stomach having the air knocked out of him. Finn collapsed on the ground hard, his brother landing near him.
Finn looked up to see the double raising his sword, Finn looked at him with no fear waiting for the strike. Instead the double jumped backwards avoiding Marceline's axe base. Marceline growled in anger flying towards the double, the double stood his ground as both their weapons connected once again, this time Marceline placed more force on trying to have the double be pushed back, the double taking notice trying to stand his ground against her. His attention went towards Finn who was coming with his sword swinging wildly. The double blocked Finn's attack with the other sword. Marceline began to swing at him as well. The double avoiding both their attacks and simply side steeping out of the way and at the same time hitting them with the side of his swords, maiming and bruising them slightly. Marceline quickly grabbed Finn and flew out of the way. The double looked at them questionably not noticing a giant fist coming his way.
Jake smiled happily feeling his hit connect till he felt his hand being stopped. The double managed to block the attack in time using his swords as a shield, he struggled to hold his ground. The double pushed Jake's hand back and ran towards him, Jake grew extra hands to try and stop him but it was futile, the double avoided the extra limbs with ease. The double was now in front of Jake's face, quickly he round housed him sending Jake tumbling backwards and knocking a few of his teeth out of his mouth. The double turned around to see an enraged Finn and Marceline. The double looked at them without emotion, then towards the passed out Jake. Marceline began to turn to her giant bat form ready to just squish him already. The double's body began to change, he began to grow hair, and got shorter, right before their eyes they saw the double change to an exact replica of Jake. Marceline smiled thinking he was stupid to turn to the dog to go against her.
The double quickly sent a barrage of giant fists towards the two, many hitting Marceline right in the face. The double grabbed her face and gripped hard not wanting to let go. The double's body stretched towards Marceline. Marceline was trying to get the double's hand out of her face. Once she did the double was at her mouth, and forced Marceline's mouth open, it jump inside and forced her to swallow him. Finn stood there in disbelief of what he just saw. Marceline also in shook and her mouth tasting awful. Marceline then felt something wiggling through her body her hands clenching to fists. Jake was coming towards the two rubbing his head in pain. "Hey where's the guy that kicked me." Jake asked.
"Marceline ate him." Finn told him.
"WHAT?" Jake yelled. Marceline began to morph back to her normal form.
"Guys." Marceline said worried beginning to spin her axe base around her like a pro.
"Okay Marceline you took him down you don't have to show off." Jake told.
"It's not me." She said both Finn and Jake looked closer and they saw the double inside Marceline mouth and controlling her. Marceline flew towards them axe swinging wildly, Finn blocked her attacks. Trying his best not to hurt her. Marceline getting closer to Finn trying to bite his neck. Marceline then got punched away by Jake.
"Sorry." Jake told trying to connect more hits. Finn got behind Marceline then grabbing her and pinning her to the ground. Marceline growled and shook violently in the ground trying to get Finn off of her. "Finn keep her down, I'm going in." Jake said shrinking down in size and going inside Marceline's mouth. Marceline stopped struggling then began to gag. Finn got off her seeing Marceline twitch and hold her stomach in pain. Her eyes shoot open and spit out the two Jakes. Marceline couched and spit out the fur from her mouth. Finn went towards the Jakes preparing to kill the imposter.
"Finn, kill him he's the imposter." Both Jakes said simultaneously. Finn stooped in his tracks, he couldn't tell which one was which. They both looked the same, sounded the same, even had the same look in their eyes saying he was his brother.
"Finn it's me buddy, remember when we fought the Ice King and all those bad guys, I was with you bro. Remember when we went through the dungeon to get dad's sword and you beat that monster, I was there bro can't you see its me." One Jake spoke, Finn looked towards the other Jake. Finn grasped his sword tighter and swiftly cut a portion of that Jake's face. The Jake screamed in pain and the other Jake enlarged his hand and punched him away. "You made the right choice bro." Jake said then hugged Finn. "Thanks for being an idiot." Jake spoke but his voice was different. Before Finn could react the double grabbed his underwear and gave him an atomic wedgie and pulled the underwear over his head. The double quickly brought his knee up and hitting Finn's groin. Finn bent forward causing the wedgie to constrict him more, the double used the opportunity to kick Finn right in the jaw the shock of the blow caused Finn to see stars and fall to the ground. The double quickly changing to look like Finn.
Marceline flew straight towards the double, she swung her axe but he avoided the attack, the double spun around hitting Marceline's stomach with his elbow, quickly followed to a punch to the face and using his swords to slash at her legs. Marceline yelled in pain then had her face grabbed and pushed to the ground and stomped on for a few moments. She saw as the double began to walk away towards the boulder. "Marceline, you all right."Finn said coming towards her with the underwear finally off his head.
"Finn, what the heck. You couldn't tell me from an imposter" Jake's voice was heard as he stretched towards the two, frowning at Finn.
"Sorry." Finn said rubbing his head.
"Guys, we need to take that thing out." Marceline said getting up.
"How?" Jake asked rubbing where Finn slashed at him with his sword.
"Attack at the same time." Marceline said then flew towards the double. Finn and Jake followed. Marceline flew in between the double and the boulder. Finn was to the side and Jake right next to Finn and Marceline. They had it surrounded, the double looked towards everyone. Everyone was at their guard till the double's head began to spin 360 degrees, its mouth widened letting out a animal like howl. The double's bones began to break, its skin began to tear. It grew a pair of wings like Marceline's, its legs got thinner and longer, he began to grow orange colored fur, blond hair mixing with the orange and the black, swords started to appear from thin air and float around the double, there were Finn's swords every sword he has ever owned and used surrounded the double. The double let out a howl shaking the floor it looked towards the trio and advanced.
Bubblegum continually tried to contact the three inside but they couldn't hear her, but she could her them, she heard their grunts, hissing, and groans. She continually kept an eye on their charts, they might not be able to die in their but they could still feel pain. Suddenly Marceline's charts started to go out of control, her brain signatures showed she was starting to feel intense amount of pain, then the sound of screaming was heard from both Marceline inside Darren's mind and the real Marceline who was on the chair, Marceline began to trash around and shake violently, Bubblegum saw blood began to come from Marceline's stomach.
Marceline was being held in the ground, the double was using Jake's stretching powers to stretch extra limbs and hold her down. And that's not all he was doing, he used Jake's powers to make a drill and start drilling into her stomach. She continually screamed in pain, she was close to passing out from the pain.
Bubblegum began to push buttons and try to get Marceline out off there. Marceline was close to losing it, then her body began to disappear. Marceline screamed and got off the chair breathing heavily and clutch her bloody shirt, realizing she was back in her real body. "Get them out of there." Marceline told quickly.
Finn was fighting with the double but the swords it had surrounding it made it impossible. The double just stood still as Finn continued to fight the floating swords just trying to land even one hit Finn was going in for another attack, but the double disappeared before his eyes. "Thousand sword slash, self righteous sins." The double told and the swords began to surrounded Finn, the swords were in a circle formation around him and the swords piled up going to the sky, the point of the blades pointed towards him then he felt a stab in his thigh. "Let the swords you used to protect be your downfall." The double's voice was heard. Before Finn could react more swords began to come at him and stab his body the swords coming to fast to stop or even see coming, Finn gasped out in pain feeling sword after sword impale his body, slowly getting on his knees clawing the ground and grinding his teeth against the pain.
Bubblegum looked towards the charts to see Finn's charts begin to go crazy. Finn's body began to twitch and turn, blood beginning to come out of his ears, nose and eyes, as he began to choke on his own blood. Bubblegum began to punch buttons faster. Finn was in the ground swords continually coming and stabbing at him then his body disappeared. The double looked towards Jake to see him full of rage, Jake yelled making his body grow to 20 stories high and grab the double with his hands and begin to crush him, Jake growled as he began to squish the double within his paws. The double broke out of Jake's grasp and flew up at the sky, Jake lost sight of him within all the white. Jake then saw a small dot coming in fast, he prepared for the double to come, but then he saw the double was now in one of Marceline's monsters forms of a giant black squid, its body the same but Finn's swords sticking out of its body. Jake screamed when the double landed on him and begin to impale its swords into Jake's skin constricting him at the same time stretching his skin apart, the tentacles going inside him and destroy his inner organs. Fortunately for Jake his body began to disappear at the perfect moment.
The double let out a howl into the air seeing its prey gone. Jake gasped for air he patted himself all over his body realizing he was alive and in one piece. "What happened in there." Bubblegum asked till the screen turned on, it showed the double howling, the screen finally working and showing the double walking away its body starting to shift to normal looking back to when they found it. The boy sat on the boulder, and looked up starring directly towards the screen, the group just starred back till the image stopped.
