Finn and Jake were going towards Bubblegum's castle, she asked them for their help and to bring a large sums of cash as well. Making their way through the candy streets they finally got to the front door. "Finn, Jake nice of you to make it here, please come in." Peppermint Butler told opening the door for the two heroes to enter. Finn and Jake walked up the stairs and finally to Bubblegum's lab where she was waiting patiently for them.
"Hey, PB you called us over here." Finn yelled opening the door not even having the manners to knock first.
"Yes, we're going somewhere." Bubblegum told adjusting her attire which was a pink shirt with lighter shades of pink stripes going across it, khaki shorts and a cap letting her show more skin then usual. Finn blushed slightly at looking away sharply. Jake grew a devilish smile thinking of the things he was going to mess Finn with.
"So Bubblegum where we going?" Jake asked.
"Well it comes once a year and I thought you guys are worthy and old enough to come. It's where things are able to be purchased." Bubblegum told.
"So a merchant place." Finn asked bored thinking this was going to be boring.
"Yes and no, this particular place sells incredibly rare items. Ranging from, magic, food, weapons, materials, technology and equipment." Bubblegum told, Finn's eyes lit up when she said weapons, which meant there was incredibly rare swords there also. "You guys can come just one thing, don't cause a ruckus, my name shall be shamed for whatever things you do. That includes you Darr- where is he?" Bubblegum asked.
All the two could give her was a shrug of their shoulders. "Haven't seen him in 2 days." Jake told.
"Hmm, well can't think about it now. This merchant place only comes for one day, so here's the thing I'll bring you along and you can go anywhere you want and buy anything. Just come to my location when it's time alright." Bubblegum told, both of them shook their heads in agreement. "Okay let's go."
After an hour of walking and riding on Jake they came to a cave. The two raised an eyebrow looking at the deserted location. "We'll keep quiet." Bubblegum spoke, a light shined from the cave blinding everyone once it stopped the group was in a totally different place. There were stands that went for miles selling materials, gadgets, silk, clothing, food and what seemed cursed objects everywhere. There was even a stand selling exotic pets that ranged from dragons to unicorns. The people buying them were shady looking bunch wearing cloaks to cover themselves. But to Finn, he felt like he knew them. "Alright guys don't cause much trouble." Bubblegum told placing a white cloak over herself. "Here, these are tracking devices. The blinking dots are you, the square one is me just follow it and you'll find me. Come when the device vibrates got it." Bubblegum told but the boys were only half paying attention for they were looking towards all the stuff to buy. "Good, see you in a few hours."
At those words the two ran at opposite directions going to every stand they say. Finn was looking at some weird looking swords, one that had a dragon leather hilt, the cross guards made from dragon's horns in the quillon block there seemed to be a green eye from a dragon. The size of the sword was half his height. It was a blunt strong and sharp sword it had the power to command dragons at will, but the thing he liked was it gave the wielder the power to withstand powerful fire blasts which meant if it could withstand fire he could visit Flame Princes whenever he wants and not worry about flame shield. He bought it instantly. He tested it a little enjoying the feel of the sword.
"Hey Finn eat this." Jake said shoving something to Finn's mouth. Finn was about to spit it out till the food melted in his mouth. It was like 10 different ice cream's melting in his mouth with a collage of different toppings and flavors going down his throat followed by a sweet sensation.
"Dude that tasted awesome what was it." Finn yelled excitedly.
"I don't know but I bought a bunch of them." Jake yelled then ran off to buy more stuff, Finn chuckled to see his brother enthusiastic.
"Finn?" Someone asked, Finn turned to see a person wearing a cloak made of fire.
"Do I know you?" Finn asked getting a slap to his face. The person took of her hood to show it was Flame princess frowning at him. "Flame Princess, why are you wearing that?" Finn asked, Flame Princess put her hood back on and 'shh'd' him.
"Quiet no one is suppose to know I'm here. But what are you two doing here?" Flame Princess asked.
"Bubblegum brought us. And why don't people need to know who you are?" Finn asked.
"Finn, this is an illegal merchant place." FP told Finn's eyes widened at what she said. "This is a time for royals and scum to buy stuff. Royals come here in secret every King, Queen, Prince and Princess is in here with other folk to buy stuff and improve their kingdom's with the stuff they buy." FP told.
"So I guess I should return this." Finn said sadly holding up his sword.
"Finn, buying stuff here doesn't make you a criminal, plus I just wanted to talk to you." FP said showing a small blush under her covered face.
"Than let me be your escort my lady." Finn told, FP smiled happily accepting his offer. In secret they were having an early date. Finn buying her some items, a scorching flower that changed color depending on the emotions of the holder. A red dress that left one of her legs exposed but reached the floor. Some food, they were enjoying themselves right now they were at a small 'restaurant' that gave out a large variety of foods. Finn ordered them something called "Plasma Mesmerizer" cause the waiter said it doesn't matter what species you are you're able to eat it and not die. Finn and FP were holding hands the sword Finn bought slowly glowing taking in the effects of FP's heat.
"Here you go you two, 2 Plasma Mesmerizer's." The butler said he wore a servants uniform and had his face concealed with dirty bandages. But still this place was alright even though it was illegal, the animals in display were well fed and seemed happy, the food was amazing, the candy Kingdom was in shame on taste compared to the food. Weapons were beyond Finn's imagination. But the best thing was that both him and FP could be here and not be afraid of being out in the open. FP took a bite of her food her face squinting and going to a sweet smile tasting the food.
"How is it?" Finn asked taking a bite. The food looked a purplish black goo, but tasted like Everything Burrito with a dash of chocolate.
"Hmm, like molten lava with a dash of brown sugar." FP told, Finn raised an eyebrow then realized this stuff would taste like the favorite food you like to eat. Suddenly Finn's pocket vibrated he looked at it and it showed the tracking device, the square was blinking then he realized what it meant. "Oh gosh, Finn I have to go, I liked our date, I'll see you later." FP told quickly but first kissing Finn deeply before leaving. Leaving a dazed and blushing Finn behind while he stuttered a little still mesmerized in the kiss.
Finn made it to a giant door guarded by two men in black armor. He wondered if he could buy some armor after this. "Finn, what took you." Bubblegum's voice was heard. Finn turned to see Bubblegum with Jake and a third person wearing a tattered black cloak.
"Bubblegum, who is that." Finn said pointing toward the person.
"Me, dweeb." Marceline voice was heard.
"Marc-" Finn tried to say to have Marceline cover his mouth.
"Shh. Quiet down idiot." Marceline said releasing his mouth.
"Sorry and what are you doing here?" Finn asked.
"Some stuff, some cords, a new thing for my base, unique red colored foods. And some books." Marceline told whispering the last part.
"Well enough chit chat let's go, can you guys bring along my stuff." Bubblegum asked. Finn turned to see a mountain of technology piled on top of each other. Finn and Jake dragged the stuff inside. There were a row of chairs in front of a stage. Bubblegum was sitting on the back with Marceline and Jake next to her. Finn sat next to Jake then had a hand grasp his. He turned to see FP's cloak she held her hand to show for him to be quiet. Finn nodded and grasped her hand FP's fire growing a little then dimming down.
"Hello, and thank you for all royals for being here today. This year we have gone beyond the limit on our collection. This year the most unique type of merchandize would be bought in this auction and could never, ever be found anywhere else in OOO. First let's start it off with this." The man said, he was wearing a gray suit with a white shirt underneath and a red tie. He looked like a shark but without the pointy nose. He showed a demonic looking guitar with 4 handles having a red and black color to it. "Shall we start with-"
"5 emeralds." Marceline's raised up her number to bid.
"5 emeralds do I hear 10, going once going-"
"15 emeralds" Another man told holding his number up.
"You're not getting my stuff this time, 25 emeralds." Marceline offered and the bidding started off. The seller sold many items, weapons, clothing, exotic food, movies from before the Mushroom War, music, witchcraft, animals, miniature planets, killer plants, even diseases.
Finn had bought a weapon or two. Marceline trying to buy anything involving music, but her competitor who was from the music kingdom kept getting in the way. Bubblegum buying anything involving science, she bought a miniature black hole. And Jake, he was just hungry cause he already ate all his good food he had bought. "Darn it." FP yelled in frustration after losing a bid against someone.
"What's a matter FP." Finn whispered stroking her hand.
"I wanted that creature." FP told Finn looked towards to see a small leopard within a cage.
"Why?" Finn asked.
"That creature was made from my ancestors, it was created cause a wife wanted a creature that wasn't made of fire so they asked a wizard to make a creature that would live in fire, but combined it with the things she liked. I don't have the full details but it is said it can't die." She told clutching her hands to fists.
"And lastly the best for last. Something that can't really be bought, owned, or even controlled till today. It took us a great deal but we caught it, after some casualties." The man told whispering the last part. "Bring him forward." Two armored knights in black came with a medium metal container. The seller raised an eyebrow for some reason. He cautiously walked towards the container kicked it then flinched, still nothing. The seller opened the small slot in the door to have a hand pop out of it strangling him.
"GET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, I'M FUCKING CLUSTRAPHOBIC." Someone yelled from the inside banging the seller against the door the two guards came to get the thing off the seller. While everyone began to whisper and mutter. Once free the seller fixed his attire and his hair and swap away sweat with his handkerchief.
"Yes, to many of you know what this is. We present a unique object in bidding. A human, Darren the human." The seller told then showing an image of Darren inside the container to show Darren screaming and banging against the walls. "Something rare to have, shall we start the bidding at-"
"45 gold coins." A bidder told a collection of gasps were heard.
"Honey, why do you want something like that." A woman next to him told, who seemed to be her husband.
"What else, to eat it. My great grandfather said eating those things was like something sent from Glob. I wanna see it it tastes any different then that soy human stuff." The person said then looked to see it was a Rainycorn.
"89 gold coins. Something from Glob huh, I'll be the one to tell you that after I drown it in spices and eat it myself." Another man told.
"101 gold pieces."
"167 gold pieces."
"300 gold pieces." One after another continued to yell raising the prize even higher with every bid.
"We gotta-" Finn was about to run up there to grab Darren and run but was pulled back to his chair by Marceline.
"Finn, you can't. In this place stealing means death warrants by every kingdom bidding for the object, and you're pretty much going against a lot of them." Marceline told showing the number of people bidding for Darren.
"Then what?" Finn asked.
"Depends, how much money you got." Marceline asked.
"I think a good 85 thousand gold coins." Finn told while FP's, Bubblegum's, and Marceline's jaw dropped.
"How, when, just give me the money." Marceline told, Finn got from his backpack a pouch which was able to hold large amounts of money. Marceline heard the prize has already reach the thousands.
"50 thousand gold coins." She told expecting a collection of gasps to only have people bid higher.
"100 thousand gold coins." She declared then she got her collection of gasps. She was placing her own money into this to win and just get out of there.
"105 thousand." Spoke a new bidder.
"Guys." Finn told nervously, Bubblegum, Jake and Fp looked through their money and added it up.
"156 thous-
"200 thousand gold coins." The new bidder told, the group couldn't bid any higher they were out of money.
"Sold." The seller said clutching his heart like he was about to have a heart attack. "You can come and take your collection sir." The seller told the bidder got up followed by his guardian. The bidder flicked his fingers the guardian brought out a spear and zapped the cage Darren was held in. His screaming was heard and echoed through the room. The guardian opened the container hearing the seller quiver a bit. Darren stood there for a while then gave in falling to the ground groaning a little.
"Now I have you and just like your kind right in the ground where you belong." The bidder told.
"I know that shitty voice, you're -ugh." Darren grunted having his face kicked. He groaned and clutched his face then had the knight stomp on his chest.
"You shall have more respect to me slave, I own you now." The bidder said showing his face to be Water Prince.
"You son of a-" Darren tried to say then was handcuffed and hoisted up.
"What would you do no- auhh." Water prince said letting out a high pitched scream that no one could hear when Darren kicked him in the balls. WP stood there shaking a bit then clutched his balls falling to his knees.
"Will you look at that, I have my master kneeling before me." Darren slurred then was thrown to the ground and striked with the lightning spear. His body twitched and ached trying not to close his eyes but was too weak to even do that.
"Enjoy that attitude while you can, when I'm through with you you'll be as harmless as a lamb." Water Prince told. "Grab my stuff we're going." His knight shook his head and grabbed Darren by his shirt dragging him, the seller presented the other item that WP bought which was the cat of FP's ancestor. WP gave the seller the money for the items he looked to the side towards the group smiling at them while he made his way to the exit taking with him his new toys.
