A/N this is an AU established Olicity mini. I wrote this based on a prompt from Mel for Olicity kissing in the rain. I hope you enjoy it.
Rain
Felicity couldn't wait for him to come to her. He needed her. She could hear it in his voice as he checked in on his way back to the foundry. She met him in the alley. The spring rain was falling gently as she wrapped her comforting arms around him. She felt him shudder as he let out a strangled moan. He had almost been too late to save an innocent.
A short time ago, a domestic abuse alert had come in, a pregnant wife with a two year old being attacked by an angry, drunk husband. He had arrived just in time to see the man stab his wife in the shoulder and attempt to go after the cowering toddler behind her. An arrow pierced the bicep forcing him to drop the knife. As the man spun around to confront the interloper, a second arrow embedded itself in his shoulder knocking him away from his victims. A quick but powerful blow from a bow removed him as a threat altogether. The woman, heavy with child and bleeding profusely, clutched her whimpering son with her good arm and backed herself into a corner. Her eyes were filled with fear as her body trembled uncontrollably. She tried to hold the discarded knife in front of her distended belly in the hand of her injured arm but it kept slipping from her bloody grasp. The Arrow eased back and comforted her with soft words until he heard the sirens in the distance. With one last glance, he quickly left the scene frantic to make it back to Felicity.
Once there, he stood lost in her embrace, desperately clutching her as the rain continued to fall. He glanced into her questioning eyes and lowered his lips to hers. Fear made the kiss rougher than he intended, but she absorbed it all and gentled it as he finally accepted that she was safe in his arms. He pulled away slowly to gaze down at her rain soaked clothes. Rain dripped off his emerald leather suit, washing away the evil he had just witnessed, as he lovingly caressed Felicity's swollen abdomen and felt his child move under his protective hand.
