A/N: One does not simply write about GrUvia and end it in just a chapter.

This Dense Idiot

"Look, a ghost told me that you were having some sort of love problems, so why don't you tell me, a person you've never really talked to before, what the hell it is!"

.

.

"ARGH! THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!"

Natsu ruffled his hair as he exhaled out a deep sigh.

"Tell me about it." said Lucy as she rolled her eyes and began munching on the potato chips Natsu didn't even knew they had.

He glared at the ghost sitting in front of him, "Excuse me? You haven't even helped yet!"

"Well what can I do?" she pouted, which absolutely looked cute but that's not the point right now, "I'm a ghost for goodness sake! There's a limit to my actions!"

Natsu begged to disagree right now but he chose not to say it out loud.

"What is Gray's relationship with Juvia?"

Lucy momentarily stopped eating and raised a brow, "As far as I can remember, they became friends in middle school."

"So you were alone during junior high?" he teased.

"No!" Lucy snorted, "I'm waaaay to cool to be ignored you know!"

Once again, Natsu inwardly disagreed with Lucy. He didn't know this ghost was a narcissist. He wondered how the people dealt with her and her vanity.

'They must've probably forced themselves.' he thought, feeling sorry for those people.

"Anyways," she coughed, scattering Natsu's thoughts, "we should just first focus on playing matchmaker."

"But I hate playing matchmaker!" he whined. He was still traumatized by the JerZa incident and was mentally cringing at the lovey-dovey couple.

Even until now, he would see them walking hand in hand in the hallways.

*Shudder*

"Aw come on, Nat-chan!" the blonde ghost pleaded with puppy eyes, "Just one more time!"

"B-but-!" Natsu was about to retort when he saw that Lucy's eyes were already tearing up, "A-alright fine! I'll do it! J-just...just don't cry, okay?!"

He had to admit, crying girls were his weakness. Especially if it was Lucy.

"Yaaay!"

'Stupid ghost and her cute looks.' he exasperatedly thought as he stared at the girl that was hugging him to his death.

"T...there he is..." Natsu muttered under his breath as he saw Gray walking to their classroom.

Natsu nervously shifted as the teen approached him, and before he could even utter a single word, Gray turned to him, cheeks flushed and looking embarrassed as hell.

What the fuh-?

"Thanks." he mumbled, "For helping me yesterday, I mean."

The lad continued to stare at the older in bewilderment before realizing what he meant and coughed, "N-no problem!"

"S-so...uh..." Gray scratched the back of his neck and sighed, "C-can you keep yesterday...umm...a secret? I don't want anyone to know a-about it. T-they might-"

"Sure." maybe he had said it too quickly? But Natsu was sure enough to keep a secret. After all, he himself had gone through that experience before. And Igneel would probably kill him for picking a fight, so it was a good thing no one was there.

The raven-haired teen sighed in relief and flashed a small smile, "Thanks. See you later then?"

"Of course." Natsu flashed a timid grin and shuffled to another position, flashing a thumbs up to Lucy who was sitting on a window.

The blonde ghost grinned and nodded, doing the same before floating again to a place who-knows-where.

Now, if only he could get Gray to confess to Juvia.

"Nat-chan! Any luck yet?!"

Morning class have ended and it was now lunch break, so that means Lucy has returned and it was now time to do their mission.

Natsu calls it: "Operation: Get the friggin' gangster-wannabe to confess his feelings to his best friend", Lucy wanted to shake her head and laugh at the corny title, but nonetheless sighed and just told him to do it already.

"None. But I think I have a plan." he mumbled as they began their way to the library.

He had no other choice but to do it the direct way. Confront Gray. The sooner they finish, the better it would be, right?

"Yo." Gray greeted as soon as he saw the pink-haired lad in sight, "Came here to sleep?"

Natsu stared at the lad confusedly and turned to Lucy for help. "Oh. Gray's like that once you talk to him. He's kind of friendly once you've had a conversation or two. Don't be surprised if he acts too chummy." she whispered.

He inwardly cringed at the idea of him and Gray acting all friendly together, "Nah..."

Why would Gray think that he came to the library to sleep?

"Y-you...sleep here?"

"Sometimes."

"Ah, I see." Natsu chuckled, "A-anyways...umm...I came here to ask you something. Is it alright?"

"You're already asking, dude."

'Gee, thanks for stating the obvious.' he inwardly rolled his eyes and flashed a fake smile, "D-do you...umm...perhaps...like...J-Juvia?"

Gray stared at him in amusement before snorting, "Psh. Me? Like Juvia? Hell to the no!"

'More like hell to the yes.' Natsu hid his irritation with a cheerful smile. This is what he hated. People who tend to hide their feelings. They think they're so cool by doing that but they're only making a fool out of themselves more.

Honestly, he thinks it's stupid.

"Nah, seriously, Gray. I've seen you stare at her aaaand...I think it's much more than friendship." he commented, making Gray's eyes as wide as saucers.

He leaned in closer and grabbed the teen's collar, making him gulp, "H-how did you know?!"

Natsu resisted the urge to face palm himself at that time.

This idiot. This dense idiot.

He has a feeling this is gonna be a haaaaard one.
