Reunion

"You ask her."

"No, you ask her."

"You do it!"

"No, you do it!"

"Just ask her!"

"Well, why can't you do it?!"

"I'm a ghost for freaking sake! Obviously I can't do it even if I wanted to!"

"Point taken, I'm going down now."

Natsu gulped as he nervously approached Mirajane. He knew he was probably going to be kicked out of the house for this, but it was now or nothing, right?

"Uh...Mirajane?"

The silver-haired beauty spun around (like oh my god, how could she be that gorgeous?!) and smiled upon the sight of Natsu, "You're finally awake! Are you feeling well? Perhaps your head still hurts? And oh, you can call me Mira instead."

"Mira it is, then."

"Is there something you need?"

Natsu slowly nodded, beginning to feel cautious around Mira, "Actually, yes. I wanted to ask about...the picture..."

The smile on Mira's face faltered, "Oh, that picture..."

"Y-yeah..."

"What about it?"

The pink-haired teen hung his head low, afraid to make eye contact with the woman, "I...um...was wondering if the girl in the middle was...your sister."

"Yes, she is. How did you know?"

Natsu flashed a small smile, "Uh...from Lucy."

As the blonde ghost was mentioned, Mira's eyebrows rose, "Are you friends with Lucy?"

"Y-yeah..."

"Oh my god, how is she?!" Mira suddenly exclaimed, much to Natsu's surprise, but still, he kept his head low.

"She..umm...died." 'Actually, she's right beside you.'

Natsu's eyes softened at the sight of Lucy trying to comfort Mira. Though the gesture was deemed useless (she was a ghost after all), he appreciated the blonde's efforts. Lucy never gave up, even 'till she died, and Natsu suddenly felt that he wanted to do the same.

Mira's eyes suddenly watered at the news and felt her knees weaken, "No...not her too..."

Natsu's eyebrows raised in curiosity, 'Too?', "I'm sorry, but what do you mean?"

"C-can we...can we talk this over dinner instead?"

"Sure."

"I'm sorry."

"N-no, it's fine! I should be the one apologizing to you!" Natsu sheepishly smiled at the older, "I'm just a stranger freeloading in your house after all."

Lucy, who was floating at the other side, snorted at Natsu's sudden change of behavior. Who knew he could act so mannered like that?

Mira chuckled, "I was the one who brought you here, so it's fine with me." her smile faltered again, "A-anyways, about my sister."

"Yeah?"

"S-she actually...died."

Both Natsu's and Lucy's jaws dropped upon hearing the news and Lucy quickly floated to Mira.

"What do you mean, died?! Lisanna can't be dead! She can't be!"

'Lucy...' Natsu frowned at the blonde's useless efforts and sighed, "How did she die?"

"It's...it's my fault! I-I couldn't protect her from a drunk man's gun! I couldn't! And I'm a useless and worthless sister for not being able to do that!" Mira fell to her knees as she cried, "L-Lisanna has been nothing but helpful and kind to me when our parents died, and I couldn't even repay her for all the things she's done!"

"M-Mira..."

"I didn't want to believe that she left us already, but it's been 2 years and I haven't found a single trace of her!"

Natsu reached out to comfort the crying lady, "H-hey Mira...what if...what if I told you, that Lisanna is alive, and that I met her?"

The tears on Mirajane's face stopped as she looked up to Natsu with wide eyes.

"R-really?!"

"She's over here somewhere." mumbled Natsu as he searched around the restaurant with a wide-eyed Mirajane.

"There she is!" the blonde ghost pointed to silver-haired waitress, and Natsu mouthed a thank you to Lucy before approaching her.

"L...Lisanna..."

Upon the mention of her name, the girl turned around and widened her eyes, "Mira-nee?!"

"Lisanna!" Mirajane ran to hug the girl and smiled, "Lisanna! You're alive!"

"Mira-nee...I thought I'd never see you again..."

Though Natsu hated clichéd scenes like this, he couldn't help but smile at the reunion of the two sisters. 'Poor Elfman, where is he anyways?' with a chuckle, he turned around and headed to the exit.

"Well, where are you going?" Lucy asked with a brow raised.

"Home. Or to the hotel, at least, since I'm in China." he shrugged, "This is turning into one of those lovesick dramas again and I'm tired of watching them. Let's go?"

Lucy grinned, "Right back at ya!"

Natsu yawned as he got out of the elevator, stretching his arms out and walking slowly to their hotel room.

"I'm tired..."

"No shit, Sherlock." Lucy muttered as she yawned also.

Though Natsu was surprised to find out that ghost could get tired too, he was too lazy to even make a move and slowly opened the door.

"NATSU DRAGNEEL! WHERE THE F*CK WHERE YOU?!"

Natsu widened his eyes when he realized he went out the whole day and found himself face-to-face with a fuming Igneel.

"Oh sh*t..."
