3:40 P.M.

Maybeck lowered his gun. "Storey? Mattie? What are you two doing here?"

Storey and Mattie exchanged a look before looking back at Maybeck.

"We're here to help," Storey replied.

"Help?" Philby asked, eyeing Maybeck to express his suspicion. "With what exactly?"

Maybeck looked over at him and realized what he was thinking. They weren't supposed to remember who they were—nobody in this world was. Maybeck glanced back over at the girls, really wanting to hear the answer.

"With taking over Maleficent," Storey answered.

"And getting you guys back home before the real problem starts." Maddie added.

"What problem?" Philby asked slowly.

Mattie glanced over at Storey, who was giving her a harsh glare.

Philby took a step closer to the girls. "What problem Mattie?"

"I…uh…"

Before Philby could get up in her face and pry an answer out of her, Maybeck put a hand on his shoulder stopping him. "Let's take them back to the girls and talk this out there."

Philby turned around and lowered his voice to a harsh whisper. "Dude, aren't you curious as to why they remember who we are? Not even a little bit?"

Maybeck let out a frustrated sigh and let go of Philby.

"Fine," Maybeck retorted. "Just don't kill them," he added underneath his breath.

Philby took a step closer to the girls. "How come you two remember who you are?"

Storey rolled her eyes. "See what you've done now Mattie?"

Mattie crossed her arms and Storey took a step closer to Philby. She crossed her arms as well, taking a deep, frustrated sigh.

"It's long and complicated. Let's go back to wherever 'the girls' are," Philby rolled his eyes at her use of air quotes, "and we'll try to explain."

"Deal!" Maybeck blurted out before Philby could pester them anymore. Maybeck motioned for the way they entered the mountain. "After you, ladies."

Animal Kingdom
Festival of the Lion King

4 P.M.

"What about Fantasmic?" Jess asked.

Charlene shook her head. "Where would they hid them there?"

"There's plenty of places under the stage. It's a labyrinth in there."

"What do you think Amanda?"

"Yeah…yeah…sure…that's fine." Amanda mumbled as she scanned the four maps of Disney World Charlene had found while the sisters had been napping. Right now, her fingers were tracing the parade route in Magic Kingdom. She had looked through all the attractions five times already. Finn and Willa could literally be anywhere. Trying to pick which one was more logical was like waiting for your lottery numbers to be called—a big waste of time.

"Amanda are you even listening?" Jess asked. Amanda looked up and saw her with her arms crossed and a sour look on her face. Upon seeing Amanda's out-of-it expression, Jess answered her own question: "Of course you're not."

"I'm sorry Jess…I just…" Amanda looked back down at the maps. "There's too many places." She moved her finger from the Magic Kingdom map to the Hollywood Studios map. "I don't know if we'll ever find them."

"Of course we will, Amanda." Charlene said in a soft voice. Amanda's finger moved down Sunset Boulevard toward the Hollywood Tower of Terror. It was as if something was drawing her toward that certain attraction.

Jess and Charlene kept talking, but Amanda tuned them out. She had thought of the Tower of Terror being a hideout five times already. It was scary and dark and has two huge elevators that can drop thirteen stories. It was a good idea to hide someone. Honestly, Amanda was surprised the Overtakers hadn't used it already.

Every place they had been taken so far was a place important to the keepers for some reasons. The guys tracked Maleficent underneath Pirates of the Caribbean. Willa and Philby were held in Animal Kingdom Lodge. Jess was held in the stump in Kilimanjaro Safaris.

But the Tower of Terror? When was that ever associated with their little group of seven?

Amanda closed her eyes and another strange memory flashed into her mind.

"Oh my gosh! It worked! The others said I was crazy for trying, but Eric said it would work!" Ariel clapped, as if congratulating herself.

"Ariel?" Finn gave her a confused look. "What's going on?"

Her giddy expression turned to a sour one rapidly. "Bad things are brewing here, Finn. I thought you should know."

"What kind of things?"

"I've heard rumors of Maleficent and Jafar working together. Snow White believes the Evil Queen is in on it too."

Finn paused to let that sink in. "I killed Maleficent last year. That's impossible."

Ariel gave him a sad smile. "You can't kill her. Well, I mean you can, but she'll just keep coming back."

"Then how can we get rid of her?"

Ariel looked away from him, deep in thought. "Eric said something…Oh I know!" She perked up and scurried off in the direction of Voyage of the Little Mermaid. She had almost disappeared when she turned around and waved Finn over.

Out of old habits, Finn stuck to the shadows—slowly making his way over to her so that he wouldn't draw a lot of attention.

Instead of going to Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Ariel led Finn to the Hollywood Tower of Terror.

Inside the lobby was a princess meeting, or something like that. Snow White, Cinderella, Princess Aurora, Megara, Rapunzel and Ariel all congregated in a circle, chatting away for a few seconds as if Finn didn't exist.

They finished and the group of princesses turned to him.

"Hello Finn," Rapunzel began. "We think we've got an idea on how to beat Maleficent and the others once and for all." She started twirling a frying pan in her hand.

"Mind sharing that with me?" He asked, somewhat sarcastically. He didn't want to seem rude to a group of princesses, but his words came out that way. He braced himself for Rapunzel's frying pan, but fortunately for him she didn't bash his face in.

Aurora stepped forward. "Maleficent is a cruel person, that we all know." She paused and all of the princesses nodded. "But each time she comes back, she gets worse. If you thought the last time was bad, you've only seen the beginning."

"So how can we beat her for good, if she can't be killed?"

Aurora glanced back at Megara, who stepped forward. She pulled out a small flask and handed it to him.

"This is a magical potion that can make you immune to any curse," Megara's fingers wrapped around his for a few seconds, closing his fingers around the flask tight. She let go and stepped back.

Amanda's eyes flew open. That wasn't her memory. She had never met princesses in the Tower of Terror. But…but…Finn had? He had never told her about that.

She gripped the bleacher in which she was sitting on until her knuckles turned white. Amanda felt like her world was spinning.

The door of the pavilion opened and Maybeck and Philby walked in with two girls behind them.

"Mattie?" Jess asked.

"Jess!" Mattie exclaimed as she hurried over to Jess and gave her a hug. Amanda watched in awe as Mattie and Storey said hello to everyone, waving at them without really thinking about it. Maybeck came and sat down beside Amanda, quietly noticing her tight grip on the bleachers.

Maybeck leaned over without drawing a lot of attention to himself. "Why the tight grip?" He whispered into her ear.

"Tower of Terror," Amanda mumbled.

Maybeck turned to face her giving her a very confused look. "What?"

"Finn met the princesses at Tower of Terror. They…they talked about the…the curse." Amanda slowly let go of the bleachers and turned to face Maybeck. "Finn knew this was going to happen."

Maybeck studied her, probably to see if she was crazy or not. He leaned back and nodded, either agreeing with what Amanda had just said or accepting the fact that she had lost it.

She wouldn't blame Maybeck if the latter was true. Even Amanda thought she might be losing her sanity.

"So Storey," Philby said, interrupting Maybeck and Amanda's conversation, "how come you two remember who you are?"

Storey took a deep breath and sat down on the ground next to Charlene. It might have just been Amanda, but she noticed Charlene give Storey a nasty glare when she wasn't looking. Amanda had only met Storey once or twice while crossed over on the cruise. Something bad must have happened for Charlene to hold a ten—probably now eleven—year grudge.

"We…we weren't taken out of this world through the curse, like you seven were."

Philby sat down on the bleacher on the other side of Amanda and gave Storey a confused look. "How come only us seven were taken?"

"The curse was only made for you. Maleficent was only after you guys."

"Then what about Wayne?" Charlene asked. "How come he's here?"

"He can go back and forth like us. He got to this world ahead of you," Mattie added. "That's why he wasn't at his apartment the night you all went to see him."

"How is this even possible?" Jess asked as she threw up her hands in frustration. "What have you guys been doing? Jumping worlds like the Doctor or something?"

"I don't think you know what you're talking about." Philby said, obviously a little offended. Amanda almost laughed. She knew how big of a Doctor Who fan he and Willa were.

Oh Lord…Willa…

Amanda cleared her throat. "She doesn't."

Jess rolled her eyes at Amanda and turned back to Mattie. "So is the regular world…2013 or whatever year it is now…still going on without us?"

"Believe it or not, Jess, the world doesn't revolve around you," Maybeck blurted out.

Jess scoffed and before she could retort, Mattie cut her off.

"It's technically September 30, 2014."

"WHAT?" The five keepers blurted out.

"We've been gone that long?" Charlene put her head in her hands.

"Heck," Maybeck muttered under his breath—except he didn't say heck.

"How is that possible?" Philby asked. "Shouldn't time have stopped over there when we left?"

Storey rolled her eyes. "The world doesn't revolve around the Kingdom Keepers Philby."

Philby rolled his eyes.

Charlene spoke up. "But…but we were crossed over? So that means—"

"We've been stuck in SBS for almost a year now." Amanda said, finishing off the thought. She met Jess' eye, trying to get a read on her reaction. All she got was...absolutely nothing. Neither sister knew what to say.

The sudden realization hit the five keepers like a ton of bricks. Maybeck leaned back, leaving his head on the bleacher behind him, covering up his eyes with his hands. Philby and Charlene both put their heads in their hands. Jess closed her eyes, nervously tapping her fingers on the floor. Amanda could tell it was because she didn't want to cry.

Amanda couldn't believe it. Almost a year—a year tomorrow to be exact—stuck in SBS. How is that even possible? What were their friends and family thinking? What was going on?

Philby opened his eyes and turned his whole body to face Storey and Mattie. "So why come here? To this wretched cursed land? To risk getting caught by Maleficent?"

"Because we had to come save all of you," Mattie said.

"The newspapers are saying that you've been kidnapped or something like that. They've been running that story since January. It's big news." Storey added.

"My mom must be so worried," Charlene said into her hands—at least that's what Amanda thought she said.

"Wait a second…" Philby waved Charlene's comment off. "We left in October. Why did the story start running in January? And why kidnapping?"

Storey and Mattie shared a look. Storey turned to Amanda. "Wayne told us that when he came back, it was the day after you had all left. Since none of you live with your parents anymore, nobody realized what was going on at first."

"But then when they did find out, Wayne cautioned them that he would do all that he could. In January, he leaked a kidnapping story to the press." Mattie continued.

"Something about all of you being overseas for the holidays and getting taken." Storey rambled on.

"But Wayne couldn't do it all by himself."

"And that's where we come in," Storey pointed to herself and Mattie.

"And Dillard, Marcus and Hugo."

"Wait… Dillard?" Amanda interrupted. "He's been dead for….eleven years now!"

Mattie's gaze lowered to the floor in front of her. "Maleficent brought a few people back from the dead in this world. He…he is one of them."

"Are there others?" Charlene asked. She finally lifted her head out of her hands. Amanda could see the tears drying on her cheek. "I mean…did she bring anybody else back to life?"

"Greg," Storey answered. "Wayne thinks she brought some other people to this world to help her keep you seven out of trouble. Overtakers are all over the place too. I'm surprised none of them are here."

At the mentioning of Greg, chills ran up Amanda's spine. Dillard and Greg were now alive in this world and they could run into either of them at any moment. The thought of seeing Greg again…

No, Amanda, don't think about it. Finn's in trouble, you need to be worrying about getting him back—not Greg.

"Who else did she bring?" Philby asked the girls.

"Spencer, Jeanine and a girl name...uh...Lauren?" Mattie answered. "I don't know any of them, but they're working for her."

Philby looked as if he had been slapped. "Lauren was working for them? Oh that explains so much."

Maybeck shot up to a sitting position. "I know who Spencer and Jeanie are…but who the heck is Lauren?"

The color drained from Philby's face. "Uh…nobody."

Maybeck studied him while Charlene spoke up. "What about Lizzie? How did she get here?"

"Lizzie?" Storey asked. "You mean the two-year old girl? She was brought here by Wayne. Wayne made sure she was with Willa. We both think Spencer knew that Lizzie wasn't his…but we can't be sure."

Philby put his head in his hands again. Amanda could see his hands slightly shaking, no, trembling. He was scared, frightened, angry, upset, confused, and so much more. They all were. Philby was never one to show it though...

Not a good start.

The seven of them sat in silence for a solid five minutes before any of them spoke.

Amanda decided to break the silence, addressing Storey and Mattie simultaneously. "Do either of you have an idea of where Finn or Willa could be?"

Mattie looked over at Storey and whispered something that Amanda couldn't hear. Storey closed her eyes, took a deep breath and turned to face Philby.

"We know Willa's in EPCOT somewhere. We were about to head over there to check it out, but somebody—" Storey glared at Maybeck "—stopped us before we could leave."

Philby snapped his attention to her. "What makes you think she's in EPCOT?"

"We've tried Magic and Animal Kingdom," Mattie shrugged. "EPCOT was next on the list."

Philby stood up. "Let's go then. Right now."

Amanda stood up, offering him a sympathetic smile. "I'm in."

Philby draped an arm over her shoulders and turned to the rest of the group. "Anybody else with us?"

1:03 A.M.

Finn had dreamt of Amanda, which made waking up even worse. She wasn't there. Nobody was. Just the chains binding his wrists and ankles to the chair. The folder Maleficent had thrown at him the day before was still lying on his lap. Over the past twenty-six hours it had slowly inched its way down his legs toward the knees.

"You're awake. Good."

Finn slowly moved his head in the direction, the soreness making it hard to move without pain. He saw Maleficent standing in the same spot as she was the last time he woke up.

"What do you want?" He spat out.

A devious grin grew on her face. "Would you like to know what is inside that folder? I'm sure you're dying to know."

Maleficent reached forward, ripped the folder from his lap and pulled out one piece of paper.

"While you were in a coma, you had this outlandish dream. It seemed so real, didn't it? Turns out, some parts are very, very real."

"What are you getting at Greenie?"

Finn figured if looks could kill, he would be dead already. So he decided to play with her a little. He figured he wasn't going to make it back to his wife alive. Might as well go down fighting, right?

Maleficent glared at him. She put the piece of paper in his lap. "You've got a twin sister, Finn, and her name…" Maleficent let out a quick laugh. "I take that back. Both of your names would be surprising."

She disappeared into thin air and Finn's gaze lowered to the piece of paper. On the piece of paper was a print out of birth records from the hospital in which he was born. He scanned the list of names until he found his: Lawrence Finnegan…Alcott?

Directly below it was another name: Emma Isabel Alcott.

Finn scanned the list looking for the last name Whitman but didn't see any. He looked back up at Lawrence Finnegan Alcott and went across the list, reading the information on this child.

Same birthday? Check. Same weight? Finn assumed so. He didn't know that one by heart. Born at the same time? Check.

Beside the word father, there was the word unknown. Beside mother, there was a name he was all too familiar with: Wanda.

So many thoughts swirled through Finn's mind. He was adopted? His mother was Wanda?

Finn glanced down at the information next to Emma Isabel Alcott. Same birthday, of course. A little lighter weight. She was born ten minutes later, making Finn the older of the two. Same mother and unknown father.

He…he had a sister...named Emma Isabel Alcott? Who the heck could that be?

And then it hit him. Hard. Like a thousand tons of bricks. Willa's real name was Isabel. In his dream from the coma, Willa was his sister. This can't be. I…I wasn't adopted. This…this doesn't make any sense. Maleficent is just trying to scare me.

But in the back of his mind, it did. For some strange reason, none of this really surprised him. It was almost as if that dream was preparing him for what was to come. Maleficent had been right about one thing: his mind had been perceptive. That dream had stayed with him ever since he woke up. He knew deep down that Willa could be his sister. They acted like it. They did kind of look alike. He had always thought of her as a sister.

But finding out that technically they were twins? He was almost positive they didn't have the same birthday.

Why was he letting Maleficent get into his head? She was making this up. She did a very good job of faking it. The paper looked official—and very old. Technically it's 300 years old, Finn reminded himself.

What are you thinking Finn? This isn't real! She's not your sister! Your parents are actually your parents. You weren't adopted. Willa is not your twin sister. Maleficent is just messing with you.

Suddenly a door was opened, letting in all this extra light. Finn closed his eyes so that they weren't blinded. A person walked in and came over to him. The door slammed shut and Finn opened his eyes. The person was obviously working for Maleficent. The black uniform with the two thin green stripes running up the each arm was a dead give away.

The soldier walked behind him without a word and unlocked the chains binding his ankles. He grabbed the back of Finn's shirt and yanked him to his feet, the paper falling to the ground at his feet. Without a word, the soldier walked Finn down the hall.

Unfortunately, Finn couldn't tell where he was being held. The hallway was a simple one: white-washed walls, floors and doors, nothing hanging on walls, no windows, fluorescent lights on the ceiling illuminating the hallway. It could be anywhere, really.

The soldier opened a door at the end of the hall—three doors down on the right from his previous location—and unlocked the chains binding his wrists before shoving Finn into the room.

Finn felt to the floor with a loud THUD! The door slammed behind him and the room went dark. This room was similar to the one he was just in, but it felt smaller. That could have just been Finn, though.

"A-a-are you okay?" A small whisper echoed across the room. Finn tried to adjust his eyes to the dark. Slowly he began to see the outline of a person huddled against the wall opposite of the door.

Finn pulled himself to a sitting position. He decided against a whisper. It probably didn't matter how loud he was talking. He was sure Maleficent had some way of listening to them.

"Who's there?" He called out to the shadow.

"Finn?"

That voice sounded all too familiar to him. The voice belonged to his best friend. The one he had known with since first grade. The one outside of his mom and the keepers who knew about the DHI's. The one he had watched die in his arms eleven years ago.

"Dillard?"

He heard Dillard take a sigh of relief. "I'm so glad you're still alive."

So what do y'all think? The group in Animal Kingdom is headed to EPCOT to find Willa. Amanda's having flashbacks of Finn's life. Finn and Dillard are being held together (any ideas on how Dillard got captured?). Is Maleficent messing with Finn or is Willa his actual twin sister and Wanda their mom?

Things are getting more interesting! Keep reading to see what happens next! And review in the mean time because y'all are awesome like that! :)
