Hey lovely readers! Unfortunately, snowpocalypse is over and school is back on, but I had enough time to finish this one up just for y'all.

GeekyKiki: At the end of last chapter, Jess and Amanda are the only 2 that know. That'll change soon...well, you'll see.

Here's chapter 33! It's more filler than anything else, but the good stuff is yet to come! Enjoy!

Chapter 33: Are You Ready?

The queen eyed him, studying the man before her. Finn couldn't help but feel awkward and out of place. He seemed to be at war with himself. He was falling in love with the girl from the town, but the queen was beautiful. It was almost like she was using some kind of love spell on him. The more he thought about it, the more he got confused.

Finn was snapped out of his thoughts by the queen clasping her hands together.

"I've got it!" She stood up, facing Finn. "Now let me say all of it before you say no."

"Okay?" Now Finn felt even more confused than before.

"See, here in Florida, I've got a problem. My parents died prematurely at the hands of an assassin, leaving me to be queen at the age of twenty-two. In any other kingdom, this would be okay. But since my parents did not force a marriage upon me, I have no husband and therefore no heir. If I were to die before that happens, the kingdom would go into turmoil, and Maleficent would be able to take over Florida as well."

"What does this have to do with me?"

"I'm getting there! So if I let you use my army to fight off Maleficent, you'll surely win. When that happens, you'll be named king, but you'll also have no heir. I am correct in assuming that, right?"

"Yes…"

"And Florida and California are two of the biggest and most powerful kingdoms in the known world…"

"Yeah? So what?"

The queen rolled her eyes. "If they were to somehow merge, they'd be unstoppable."

"How would they merge? They're so far apart! That's impossible!"

"Not physically, Finn." She rolled her eyes again. "With a marriage alliance."

"A—" Finn gulped. "A…marriage alliance?"

"Yes!" The queen slapped a huge smile on her face. "You and I get married! We can easily get two male heirs. The oldest can inherit California, and the younger can inherit Florida. The two would only be merged for a short time! It's a win-win situation for both of us!"

"Are you asking me to marry you, Queen Charlene?"

"I'm proposing an deal. I give you the full support of my army, you marry me and I give you two male heirs and control of both kingdoms until your death."

Finn couldn't believe what was going on. So many thoughts were swirling inside his head.

"So, Prince Finnegan of California, what do you say? Do we have ourselves a deal?"

Whitman Residence
Bedroom

7:23 A.M.

Amanda's eyes shot open. Yet another strange dream. You would think after eight months, she would have gotten used to this but she couldn't. Each one made less sense than the last one, yet she was forming some kind of picture in her mind of what was going on.

She took a deep breath, in attempt to calm herself down, but it didn't work. Then, as expected, the growing child inside her belly decided to kick. Hard.

Amanda sat up and held her stomach, resting her head against the headboard. "You're going to be difficult today, aren't you?"

In response, there was another hard kick.

Amanda rolled her eyes. "You're just like your aunt Jess. Rebellious and difficult. Great."

Amanda managed to get up without another kick. She walked out of her bedroom and headed into the kitchen, where she was surprised to see her sister cooking.

"Jess?" She asked as she grabbed a coffee mug from the cabinet. "What on earth are you doing here?"

"I thought I'd cook you some breakfast," she said with a smile. She was currently scrambling eggs and cooking bacon simultaneously.

"And you're doing this because…"

"Because you're due in four days, Amanda. You're going to need some help around here for the next month or so and I'm here to help you out."

Amanda filled her coffee mug with milk from the refrigerator and glanced at her sister. "What happened to the painting you were working on? For that...that rich guy in Tallahassee."

"Finished it early this morning."

"That's great Jess. Shouldn't you be, you know, giving it to the client now?"

Jess shrugged. "I finished it about twenty minutes ago. I haven't had any sleep yet. I figured I should get some sleep before driving up to Tallahassee."

Amanda rolled her eyes, laughing to herself. "After breakfast, get some sleep. Some of us have to get to work."

Jess laughed as she took the bacon out of the pan and placed some on each of the two plates. "Like what you do is so tasking." She turned around and glared at Amanda. "You are a receptionist for one of the Imagineers. All you do is answer the phone for them and double-check appointments."

Amanda rolled her eyes and sat down at the kitchen table. "And painting is so physically active? Everything drains my energy these days. It's all because of this stupid kid."

Jess rolled her eyes, placed the scrambled eggs on both plates and set down a plate in front of Amanda. "I believe that one's your fault, sis."

"It's perfectly normal to get pregnant when you're married, Jess." Amanda shoved some scrambled eggs into her mouth. "You should try it sometime. Getting married."

Jess rolled her eyes. "Patrick and I were talking about getting married. Well…that was before…"

Amanda offered her sister a sad look. Jess' gaze lingered on her food. It had been almost nine months since they had come back from the cursed world. Almost nine months since Amanda had seen Finn. Almost nine months since Jess had seen Patrick. So much had happened in that time, but no progress had been made. If Finn was supposed to find his own way home, he was doing a pretty crappy job at it.

The first thing she was going to do when she saw him was slap him. Then kiss him. Then probably another slap.

She had mixed feelings on this issue.

"So you're going to work today?" Jess asked with a mouthful of bacon.

Amanda nodded. "I have four more days until the baby's coming. Better to keep my mind off of things before then."

"Finn's not gone, Amanda. He's going to be back before the baby comes."

Amanda put down her fork. "Jess, we've been saying that since October. It's not happening."

"You don't know that sis. He's got to come back eventually."

"What if he's dead?" Amanda blurted out before she realized what she was saying.

That remark shut her sister up.

Amanda took a few deep breaths. She had been thinking that for some time now. What if Finn was dead? Nobody would ever be able to know. Amanda wished she knew something. She didn't want to always be wondering what happened to him. She either wanted him back or for news of his death to come. She hated the uncertainty.

Amanda pushed her plate away. "I'm going to get going," she mumbled as she stood up and walked out of the room.

She walked into her bedroom, slammed the door shut and the baby kicked again. She laid down on her back on the bed and took a deep breath. In four days time, the baby would be here with or without Finn. She had to be ready. She was ready…wasn't she?

Sunrise Elementary School
Teacher Break Room

12:32 P.M.

The empty teacher break room was Willa's sanctuary on this pre-planning day. Meeting after meeting. She barely got any chance to actually plan her lessons. This was her first year at this school and she was already swamped. After coming back from Maleficent's cursed world in October, Willa had gotten her old job back after Christmas—second grade at Camelot Elementary across town. At the end of the year, Willa and Philby had decided to move across town due to the overwhelming press constantly at their house, hounding them for answers.

Answers none of them could give because they didn't have them themselves.

And here she was: teaching fifth grade at Sunrise Elementary School. Everyone had gone out to eat for the first day of pre-planning, but Willa had brought her lunch. She was the only one in the break room and she was enjoying the silence.

Willa unwrapped her sandwich and was about to take a bite when she heard someone call her name.

She glanced up and saw Charlene standing there in white jean shorts and a green tank-top. Her blonde hair was braided and draped over one shoulder. In her hands she had a large blue binder, which only meant one thing: Charlene wanted to talk about the wedding.

"Are you in here all by yourself? Where are all the other teachers?"

"At lunch," Willa shrugged, finally taking a bite out of her sandwich. "Why are you here?"

Charlene sat across the table next to her. "I'm having a wedding catastrophe."

Willa raised an eyebrow. The past two months Charlene had actually started planning her wedding. The date was set for September 5th.

Charlene glared at Willa. "Don't give me that look, Willa. This is really bad. I can't decide on a dress."

Willa rolled her eyes. "Charlene, we're going dress shopping next weekend. You don't have to worry about that yet."

"But Willa, you don't understand. Maybeck won't let me help with the search now. The gymnastics team I'm coaching doesn't start for a few more weeks. I'm dying to do something! I can't just sit around the house all day. I'm bored."

She looked like Lizzie pleading for an extra cookie. Willa was about to roll her eyes and tell her she's being ridiculous when she realized something.

Maybeck wasn't letting her help out on the search anymore? When did that happen?

"Why can't you help search for Finn anymore? You've been helping Maybeck since the beginning!"

For a quick second, Charlene looked shocked, as if she didn't realize what she had said. She sighed and sunk back into her chair, crossing her arms.

"It's complicated."

"What's so complicated about that? He would never tell you to stop helping unless…" Willa's eyes went wide.

"Unless what?"

"You're not…pregnant…are you?"

Charlene seemed hurt by that question, though Willa didn't know why. "No. I'm not pregnant."

"Then what's wrong?"

"He's…worried about something. I think him and Philby have stumbled upon something dangerous. Maybeck would've included me if it was something else."

Willa leaned forward, searching for some kind of answer in Charlene, but finding none. Philby had just started helping Maybeck out, but he had told her about most of it. So far, they hadn't found anything. It was all dead ends and loose trails. Had he been…lying to her?

"What do you think they've found?"

Charlene shrugged. "I don't know, but Maybeck spends all of his free time over there trying to figure it out. He won't tell me anything."

"Maybe they've found a new lead."

"Then why wouldn't they tell us? Why wouldn't he tell me?"

"Maybe they wanted to see where it led before getting anybody's hopes up?"

Even Willa wasn't convinced by that.

Charlene sighed. "The last thing we need is for Amanda to get her hopes up…especially now."

Willa nodded. She continued eating her lunch as Charlene sat there deep in thought.

After Willa finished, she threw away her trash and sat back down, waiting for Charlene to say something…anything.

"Charlie?"

Charlene's eyes locked with Willa's. "Let's follow them. That's the easiest way to figure out what they're doing."

"You want to follow them tonight?"

Charlene smirked. "Why not? We're pretty good at following people. We used to follow OT's all the time!"

Willa smiled. "That was a long time ago."

"You bet it was. Come over at seven? He leaves around eight. I'll make an excuse for you to be over there. Just get Jess or Amanda to watch Lizzie. Sound like a plan?" Charlene smiled.

"You bet it is." Willa extended her hand for a fist bump. "Just like old times?"

Charlene fist bumped her back. "Just like old times."

July 29, 2015
Hollywood Studios
Engineering Base

9:15 P.M.

Charlene caught the door just before it closed. Maybeck and Philby had walked in here just seconds before. Dressed in black from head to toe, she and Willa had been following them since they had left the house. Charlene had even "borrowed" her brand-new father's car. Oops.

Charlene held the door open for Willa and the two of them hurried down the hallway after the boys silently. They walked down the hall and turned into the last room on the left. Charlene glanced back at Willa before hurrying down the hall quietly. The boys left the door cracked—probably because they thought they were alone.

How they had gotten in the base without security seeing them or asking them any questions, Charlene would never know. She leaned against the wall to the right of the door and then Willa took the left.

She leaned in, trying to hear what they were saying. They were smart not to talk too loud, but luckily Charlene had great hearing.

"We've tried HS. What about those in AK?" Maybeck asked.

"Did that. Nothing came up. Should we try MK again? I'll take the right you take the left. We can meet up in the NF?"

Maybeck said nothing at first. Charlene heard him tap something. A table, maybe?

"I'll go this way. We can meet at number 27 on the map."

"Sounds good. Do you think we'll find the rabbit hole they told us about?"

Charlene and Willa exchanged a look. Rabbit hole must be code for something. Charlene racked her brain for Disney movie references but couldn't think of one. Willa seemed to know because her eyes were wide.

Maybeck sighed. "We don't have a choice."

"Should we go now? We've got that meeting at 10."

"Who's that one with again?"

Charlene heard the sound of pages turning. Is Philby looking through an agenda or planner? What a nerd…

"Uh…" Philby flipped some more pages. "It says here we've got F and R?" He didn't seem sure about that, but Willa made the connection. Her hand flew over her mouth to prevent her from saying anything. Charlene pointed to the door behind her, asking her if she wanted to leave. Willa nodded and the two girls snuck away.

Once they were back in the car, Willa finally spoke.

"They're meeting with Flynn Rider and Rapunzel."

"How could you have gotten that from what they were saying?" Charlene asked as she drove out of the Hollywood Studios parking lot.

"They were using the first letter of their names, Charlie. It's really simple. Now why would they be meeting with characters in secret? That seems like something we could hear about."

"What about the rabbit hole? What was that all about?"

"Alice in Wonderland," Willa replied instantaneously. "Alice falls down a rabbit hole into Wonderland."

"So that means…?"

"It might just very well be code for finding a way back to Finn."

"Really?" Charlene looked over at Willa with wide eyes.

"Eyes on the road!" Willa pointed forward.

"Right," Charlene muttered as she looked back at the road. "So the guys think they might have found a way to Finn?"

"Maybe," Willa looked focused in on her thumbs, with which she was fiddling nervously. "I'm not sure. I'll see what I can get out of him tonight."

Charlene nodded. "Me too."

"No…we can't both ask questions. They'll get suspicious. I'll ask tonight. Philby would be more likely to tell me than Maybeck to you."

"What are you trying to say?"

"The truth," Willa shrugged.

Charlene rolled her eyes. "Okay, so why keep it secret? Why run around without telling us anything?"

"They probably want to make sure they're right before getting anybody's hopes up."

"But then why meet with Flynn Rider and Rapunzel?"

"Maybe they know something? I'm not sure." Willa closed her eyes. "I need some time to think things through. It's been a while since I've thought about this stuff."

Charlene nodded. "Meet up at lunch tomorrow to talk?"

Willa sighed. "Assuming I get work done. I'm tired of the stupid meetings."

Charlene laughed. "Okay. We could go for dinner if you want. I know this cool new place downtown I've been wanting to try. Maybeck won't go with me."

"City Lights?" Charlene nodded, causing Willa to scoff. "He's stupid. That place is great. Yeah, let's meet there at five."

Charlene nodded, satisfied with the fact that they were back in the keepers business. Having it be in secret made it even more fun. "The girls are back! This is the most exciting thing I've done all year!"

Willa smiled. "I know! We need to do this more often!"

Charlene started laughing. "Honestly, after Finn gets back I'm retiring for good. If the OT's ever come back, I give up."

Willa laughed too, almost with a sad hint to it. "Yeah. I feel you. But, you know, I said that back in the cruise during freshman year of high school. See where that got me? This is our life now Charlene. It's always been this way. We can't just leave it alone…or give up."

Charlene glanced over at her friend. She knew she was right. She was tired of it to say the least. She just wanted her normal life back. That was all. Apparently getting kidnapped, accused for witchcraft, fighting OT's and whatever sick tricks are still left up the OT's sleeves was the new normal.

Finn composed himself and turned around. He wasn't going to bother with the calendar. He started slowly making his way down the hallway.

The only light was coming from the torch perched next to the door from which he had just come from. The small flame gave off enough light to see about ten feet in front of him. The walls were packed in dirt, just like the room he had come from. There were wooden beams keeping the dirt from falling in on him. To him, it almost looked like the underground mine tunnels from Tom Sawyer's Island, but he knew better than that.

He slowly walked over to the right side of the underground tunnel and slowly made his way down the tunnel, keeping his hand on the wall for when it got too dark to see.

It might have taken him all day to find an exit, but time was difficult to gauge in the dark tunnel. Finn had no clue where he was or what time it was, but eventually he found a small, wooden ladder that lead upwards. There was a trap door that had a handle to pull up, so that someone inside the mine shaft could get out.

Finn climbed the ladder with much difficulty, being frozen for seven months does that to you. He got high enough to grab the handle of the trap door and pushed with all his might. It took a few tries, but eventually he got it open. The moonlight streamed in, almost blinding him at first.

For the first time all day, he smiled as he pulled himself up and out of the mine shaft. He walked in a circle, scanning his surroundings. The only thing he saw were woods, except for one little cabin far off in the distance.

Finn looked up at the sky and saw the moon in a strange position. It almost looked as if it was smiling at him, similar to the Cheshire cat in Alice and Wonderland.

Finn smiled back, happy to be out of that stupid tunnel.

He slowly made his way through the dark towards the cabin. If anyone was there, they could give him some answers? Was he back in the real world? What year was it? Where was Amanda? And Jess and Philby and Willa and Charlene and Maybeck? What about his family? Where were Hans and Maleficent and all the other OT's? How did they know about the dream? What other parts of his dream were now realities?

He had more questions than he could think of. He honestly didn't know which one to ask first, assuming there was someone in that cabin.

It was almost dawn by the time he made it to the cabin. He didn't see any lights on inside.

He hesitated before knocking, not sure whether it was worth it. He softly knocked twice on the door.

The sound of rustling leaves behind him made him jump. In the scarce moonlight he searched for the source.

Silence.

He turned back to the door slowly, glancing over each shoulder and knocked again. This time a little bit louder.

"Come in," he heard a female voice say.

Finn opened the door and stepped into the cabin. There was a fireplace to his right with a small fire going. The room was small, but nothing else seemed to be in the room except for the fireplace and a chair that was occupied with a girl in a light blue dress. She had bleach blonde hair braided down her back.

Where had he seen that girl before?

"Hello Finn," she mumbled, not bothering to look up at him.

He noticed how she was magically forming a snowball in her hand. He watched it grow and shrink for a few brief seconds before responding.

"You're…Elsa right?"

Elsa nodded, not looking up from the snowball. "I'm sorry I froze you. I'm afraid that was the nicest thing Hans could have made me do," she mumbled.

Finn shut the door and walked toward her. He was now three feet in front of her. He shoved his hands in his pockets. "It wasn't your fault. You didn't have a choice."

"I know," Elsa mumbled to herself. "I should have been able to stop him. He's worthless."

"Where are we Elsa?"

"You're back in the real world, Finn." Elsa looked up at him, her blue eyes piercing him. "Just…just not that close to home."

Finn felt like his stomach do flips. "I…I'm home?"

Elsa nodded, focusing back on her snowball. "I'm afraid the worse is to come. I wish I could help you."

"Why can't you?"

"I'm stuck here, Finn. I've done my best to contact someone to take me back home. It's you I'm worried about."

"And why is that?"

"Because if you don't get home soon, your friends will all be dead."

Finn felt his stomach do flips again, this time because he was going to be sick. He closed his eyes for a few seconds, composing his thoughts. He slowly opened them again and fumbled with words.

"C-c-can I get to them in time? Am I…am I close enough to them?"

She nodded. "I would leave now if I were you."

Finn nodded. He hesitated before turning back to the door. He placed his hand on the doorknob and stopped.

"I hope you save them all, Finn," Elsa said, "I hope they were right about you."

He glanced back at Elsa. "Who?"

"The other characters. They claimed you were the savior. I hope they're right."

"I hope they are too."

He turned the knob and opened the door.

"Finn," Elsa called out. He turned and looked at her one last time.

"If you see Hans anytime soon," Elsa's face turned into a smirk. "Kick his butt for me."

Finn nodded and slowly walked out the door, not looking back at Elsa. He had friends to save before something bad happened to all of them. The time to be the savior had come. The real question…was he ready?

So Finn is back in the real world...can he save his friends/family in time? What's going on with Philby and Maybeck? Have they really found a way to save Finn (even though he's not in the other world anymore)? Will Charlene and Willa figure out what's going on?

Find out in chapters to come! Have a great weekend! Please review! :)
