Elsa and her brother waited for their father on his working room. His real working room in the military headquarters.

The door opens and her father's heavy and fast steps was heard. Her father looked angry. He threw two sets of files on the table. It glides to the middle of the big table.

"What is this?", his father asked angrily.

Elsa leered at the two files, it was their simulation result from before. She performed terribly on purpose.

"Are you two wimps? You bring shame to me ! To me !"

"But father….", said Elsa.

"What?!"

"Sir, this is not what I do best. I'm better off with research and things like that."

Her brother slips his hand and pinches her thigh so hard she believes it'll leave a bruise. With courage, Elsa glared back at him.

"I don't care what you do best! I will make you pilot a Jaeger and you will."

"But sir..."

Without listening to the rest of Elsa's sentence, his father spun his big leather chair away from her and motioned for them to leave the room.

Her brother dragged Elsa out by digging his nails on her arm. She wouldn't flinch, she wouldn't react, that is exactly what his brother wanted.

"So, she lives with an ignorant mother, a reputation crazed dad and a sadist bullying brother? Must be tough.", said Tendo.

"Brilliant brain and a pool of money doesn't help her, in this situation.", continued Sofi.

"Is her brother's name Andre…..Alex?"

"Close. Alexander."

"The program! It's called Andrealexa.", exclaimed Tendo.

"Her subconscious was seeping out.", continued Mako.

"What's next on this strange case of Elsa? Did she really piloted a Jaeger with her brother?"

"Like I said, yes."

Only in her dressing room, Elsa found solitude and peace, even for a couple of minutes. But today, her last sanctuary was destroyed.

She looked at her bare back through the mirror. Most of them are old cuts. As time goes by, her brother became better at torturing her. It won't leave a scar, won't leave a bruise, won't break the skin. But it can hurt her till she screamed. But as time goes by, Elsa learned her lesson too. She won't react, she won't scream, she wouldn't cry.

She put on her clothes and closed her locker door.

In seconds, a hand dragged her by the hair down to the floor. Her back against the cold floor and a shoe pushing down her neck. She look up, it was her bother with his most annoyed look. He sat on the bench, his foot on her neck. It was getting harder to breathe, but she wouldn't beg.

"What a nerve you have back there, sister."

He chuckled.

"Oh, the cat is trying to be a tiger.", he said again.

He put his foot down on the floor and Elsa sat back up, leaning against the locker. Her brother's big hand cupped her face with much strength.

"The next mission is ours. Don't you screw it up. You mark my words or I'll kill you myself and throw your body inside a Kaiju."

Hermann was reading something when he heard a thump. He quickly approached the sound and found Raleigh on the floor on hishand and feet, breathing and gasping heavily, the headpiece a distance from him. Raleigh had thrown the headpiece and fell.

"Raleigh ! Goodness are you okay?"

Raleigh stood back with Hermann's help.

"What happened to you?"

"I don't want to see that again."

"Those crazy people really did let Elsa and her brother pilot a Jaeger, to deal with a Kaiju too.", gasped Tendo.

"And all the stress and fear…."

"The Kaiju wrecked the side of the Jaeger, killing his brother. Watching her brother died right beside her shattered her mind. She went berserk, literally killed the Kaiju piece by piece and destroyed the whole town."

Mako covered her mouth with her hand.

"What happens then? Especially with her father."

"What do you think if you were him?", Sofi asked back.

"I don't even know how that father of hers way of thinking!", said Tendo.

"Abandonment? Disavow?", asked Mako.

"Correct."

"Seriously?"

"That's what happened."

'One day, at the hospital where I work at, a mysterious strong build man brought with him a woman half dead, covered in combat injuries, drenched in blood, with injuries that was only handled with first aid. The man wore a suit, looks more like a bodyguard than a relative or acquaintance if you ask me. He was very formal, very silent. He never disclosed his name, or the woman's name. What he did was he put a stack of money and that was a lot and left.'

"So, her parents left Elsa at the hospital, with no identity, nothing, and just money." "And practically shushed everyone about what really happened. Thus, the story you know now."

'Later that night, an anonymous person wired a tremendous amount of money to the hospital's bank account. Honestly, that money was enough to feed a whole starving village in for like 10 years. The mysterious Jane Doe suffered massive cuts and bruises, several broken bones and a cracked mind. Wounds heal, but what's inside the head didn't heal. She never speak a word. Not a single word. Never cried, never laughed, and never smiled. She was an empty shell.'

"Wait, so how did you get all this information?",asked Mako.

"I found that man who brought her to the hospital, practically guilt tripped him to reveal a very small information on Jane Doe. With that small lead, I dug about her. I tell you, that wasn't easy."

"You're a nurse at the hospital?"

"No, I'm a psychiatrist."

'Once she's well, I said to the hospital director that I'll take responsibility of the Jane Doe. With that money I won't need to work again for me and her. But that wasn't my objective. I was intrigued. A woman, suddenly appeared half dead, covered in injuries. Mysterious injuries from I don't know where. A bodyguard sent her to the hospital for medical assistance. And last, this mysterious side who clearly has no means to want to care about Jane Doe anymore, thus the money. This side of course wants someone to take care of the Jane Doe with the money paid forward. Doesn't that sounds like a challenge?"

"So you treated her with psychiatry?"

"I tore her wall brick by brick. That took a very long time. I stopped practicing for her. But even after I tore down the wall there was still some things that was hidden deep inside, it's like the surface of the earth to the core. If it wasn't for the information I seek elsewhere, I wouldn't know the whole story."

"But she was practically fine in Panama, then with us, then in this town. I mean she was socially well."

"I thought to myself. This is a jewel, if she can continue on living by forgetting her past, which clearly was the path she took, so be it. So I birthed a new person to this world, Elisabeth Trancy, your Elsa. That was against my work code, but I took it. Well, she saved the world by being a new person right."

"So, now, we have to break the news to the crazy father and ignorant mother?", asked Tendo.

"Find her mother. Though I have many reasons to dislike her, but I still think her mother is wiser of the two."

When Mako and Tendo was back at the Shatterdome, the one that greeted them was Hermann and Newt that told the two about what happened to Raleigh. With the piece of information gathered from Mako and Tendo, the story was completed.

Mako went to see Raleigh. He looked like he aged while she was gone. The first thing she did was she hugged him. Tightly.

"I'm sorry. I am very very sorry."

The last person who knew all about the story was Herc.

"What? Elsa is the daughter of that General? Are you all playing with me?"

"What? No !"

"So now, we call him down here?"

"No, we need to find her mother."

"Please tell me, she's just a normal woman.", said Herc.

"No, she's the army's legal consultant."

It wasn't hard to reach Eleanor, Elsa's mother. Once she knew they were from the PPDC and it was regarding a woman named Elsa Trancy, she was listening right away. A day later, she was at the Shatterdome.

She doesn't look like someone her age. There was some features of her face that was like Elsa's. She was dressed formally neatly and stood proud.

Once she saw Elsa from behind the glass, the façade shatters. She brought herself to tears.

"My poor Liz…."

Eventually everyone decided to leave the room, but Raleigh. Mako wanted to leave but Raleigh held her hand, as if she's his moral support.

"I told my husband that his daughter is dying, he said he didn't have a daughter.", she said with a small forced laugh.

Raleigh and Mako didn't reply.

"I know that you think of me as a bad mother. From the look in your eyes. I guess, I am a bad mother. Please don't lose your faith in humanity because of me and my husband. It was our foolishness that caused this all. I have 2 wonderful kids, but I threw it all away."

Eleanor sat down and crossed her legs.

"I knew about Alex's abusive side from the beginning. He was a small shy boy, his friends used to tease him when he was a kid. But once he knew that his bully would stand down after hearing his family name, that one feeling of being one step higher than everyone, changed him forever. I remember the first thing he did after seeing his little sister, a small powerless baby, was he pinched her hard she cried. After that, whenever Liz and Alex played together, Liz would wear a bruise or two, but she would smile through it. After that, everything was lost and Liz's smile would disappear."

Raleigh and Mako looked at Eleanor as she sighed and took a deep breath.

"After the incident, the psychiatrist, Sofi Matthews contacted me. She brought me back to my senses. I didn't tell my husband about how Liz was doing. He wouldn't want to know. So, I helped Miss Matthews for Liz's sake. My husband was the one who locked her information. When Miss Matthews said Liz wanted to be in the military to, she said, use her knowledge, I was shocked. Is she pouring cold water on my wound, but it was for Liz. So I gave her , her new identity. Trancy was my maiden name. I slipped her in, bought her the non suspicion. The last cut on my wound was that I shouldn't see her. She said Liz already forgotten about me, her brother and everything. I said to myself, fair enough. This is the payment for what I did."

Eleanor wipes her tear away and she smiled a bitter smile.

"But look at her now, she saved the world. My Liz."

Eleanor looked at Raleigh, with teary eyed.

"You're Raleigh, right? The Gipsy Danger pilot?"

"Yes."

"Say, are you her lover?"

"No, my brother was."

"Was? ….. Oh, your brother…"

Eleanor took Raleigh's hand.

"Please take care of her. I don't deserve Elsa Trancy."

Before she left, Eleanor reach inside a bag and took out a small jewelry box. He handed it to Raleigh.

"It was Liz's."

Raleigh opened it and found a small opal stone necklace.

"She's an October baby. I want Elsa to have it."

With heavy steps, Elanor left the room.

The next morning, Raleigh decided for once in a while he needed some fresh air. Mako joined him outside.

Raleigh took a deep breath of the fresh morning air.

"You look better today.", She said.

"I feel relieved. I don't know why but I feel calm today."

"Good."

The sun kept on rising higher.

"No more fighting.", Raleigh said.

"Yes, no more fighting."

"No more Kaijus"

"Peace at last."

The individual in white coat kept tapping his foot on the elevator ground. During desperate moments, the elevator couldn't go any slower.

"Raleigh!"
