AN: Hey guys! So, I'm back! How have you guys been? Wow, that's a stupid question considering my last update was yesterday. How much can change in a day? Well, I guess that's enough rambling for today. Lately, I've been in a very updatey type of mood. Is updatey an actual word? So, I made another chapter! Any predictions for what's coming next? I'd like to see what you guys think! Anyways, enjoy!

Meeeeeee: I don't mind long reviews. Honestly, I love all reviews because it's like a little explosion of excitement, and it's really cool to see what people think of your story. You've reviewed on every chapter, which is amazing, so thank you so much for that, seriously that is awesome! I'm glad you liked the chapter. No comment on the predictions, though ;) You'll see... Thanks again!

Shailene: ASDFGHJKL So I was in the car with my parents when I saw your review and I was grinning like an idiot and they were like "What?" and I said "Nothing" but they were really skeptical and probably think I'm insane now! Thank you so so so much, that review put a smile on my face that hasn't left all day! (I don't know your time zone, but where I live the review appeared at around 11:00 A. M.)

Disclaimer: Unfortunately, I do not own the Mortal Instruments.

Incessantly, my phone buzzed with texts from someone I did not want to hear from. At all.

Jace: Hey, maybe I shouldn't be texting you since I'm still kind of annoyed with you, and I bet you are with me.

Jace: I wanted to apologize.

Jace: I think we both said some stuff we didn't mean, and I still really like you. I think maybe we were both just having a bad day or something.

Jace: I was wondering if I could make it up to you.

Jace: Over dinner perhaps?

Jace: Hello?

I didn't respond, and was pretty much hoping he'd just give up and go away. I had started the fight, but we had both said some pretty hurtful things. However, I meant what I said. Jace had started to remind me of Sebastian a little bit, and even if that was just in my head or I was imagining it, I couldn't take the chance, couldn't go through that again, couldn't put myself through that again.

Jace: Clary? I know you're there because my phone tells me when messages have been read. Can you at least give me an answer, even if it's a no?

I growled in frustration. Honestly, at that point I didn't want to have any type of relationship, romantic or platonic alike, with the guy at all, even if it was just a few texts here and there. In pure anger, not just at Jace, but at everything in general, I grabbed my phone and threw it at the wall. Smooth, Clary. It shattered immediately, and I could see the spider web of cracks appear on the screen almost in slow motion. The screen was destroyed, but I knew it still worked when it buzzed once again. Fantastic. I checked my messages while trying hard to ignore the cracked spots, but it was once again just some more messages from Jace. Well, no one could say he wasn't perseverant, I guess. At least he had that going for him, if nothing else.

Jace: Okay, you know what, I think I'll have to take that as a no.

Sighing, I decided to give him a response as confirmation.

Clary: You got that right, jerkface.

I guessed he gave up, at least for a few moments, so I took the opportunity to go and see how Simon was doing. I found him on the phone, talking into it worriedly. When he was done, he turned around and talked to me.

"That was Becky. She's moving and really needs help, and I'm pretty much the only one available. Will you be okay if I go down there for a few days?"

"Yeah, don't worry about it, Lewis. I'm almost healed, anyway. Honestly, you can leave now if you have to." I responded calmly, truth in each and every one of my words.

"Well, you seem I was thinking about that. Do you maybe want to move in together? I've really liked it these past few weeks." Simon asked, a little bit nervously.

"Of course! That sounds awesome! It'll be just like college!" I ran over and hugged Simon.

"Clare, you do know we didn't room together in college, right?" he asked.

"Um, maybe that was a dream I had or something?" I responded, obviously unsure of my answer.

"Yes, well now I definitely have to stay to check on your mental state, weirdo." he replied jokingly, feeling my forehead mock-worriedly for effect.

"Says the guy who speaks Klingon fluently." I muttered back.

"Hey-that's-but" He tried to form a sentence, but repeatedly cut himself off, and his cheeks were bright pink in frustration and playful anger.

"Yeah, whatever, dork. See ya later!" I ruffled his hair like I loved to do when we were in elementary school before walking back to my room .

I remembered I had wanted to see Maia and Jordan, so I grabbed my phone to send them a quick text and ask if they wanted to meet up soon or something. My phone once again buzzed. Thinking it was Jace, I went to delete it, but saw it was a number not in my contacts. However, it was a number I'd have memorized forever, probably. It was Sebastian.

Sebastian: Hello, Clarissa. I haven't seen you in a while. What do you say we meet up soon?

I knew in my heart he was not asking, but ordering.

AN: Ooo, a little cliffie. So, what did you guys think of this one? As always, I really appreciate all reviews, follows, favorites, and anyone just reading my story in general. Thank you for giving it a chance! See you all next time!
