Disclaimer: I don't own Ouran.
Thanks to claraowl, belelle, Conan15(Challenge accepted but not as well as I expected, I fear!) and Kc495 for your amazing reviews while I was away.
This chapter is in Kaoru's POV and is 'based' on the song All the right moves by One Republic.
Now more than ever, I am depending on my little plot that I have devised with Kyoya-sempai to work efficiently. I fidget with nervous energy as I watch said twosome ignoring each wholeheartedly. Or rather, Hikaru is ignoring Haruhi while Haruhi remains unsure of what specifically caused this seemingly unending rift between the pair of them.
Hmmm…this is highly unusual. I never thought that I would see this day. Hikaru depends on Haruhi in a manner which is unprecendented. After all, she is the girl whom opened the world for her and gave us an identity other than simply being a twin. But now, the moment his feelings were seemingly hurt, a massive granite barrier has separated the two. And Haruhi has been left none the wiser.
I glance at the terrible twosome whom are sitting at complete opposite ends of the room as if the room isn't big enough to escape the girl whom broke his heart with her nonchalance.
Haruhi's usual persona of indifference and prudence is slipping and for the first time, I catch a glimpse of the real Haruhi Fujioka whom is not afraid to share her emotions and let her hair down once in a while. It isn't often that I see that passionate girl reveal a passive side to her which is both haunting and intriguing. She is lazily lying on the chaise longue beside the large windows and she is bathed in rays of light which allows me to zone in on the anxious stare that is plastered across her face.
Uh oh. This is really bad. Not only is Hikaru point blank ignoring Haruhi's puppy dog eyes, he is also pretending she is invisible. Not the most mature move perhaps, but he is hurt. I need to fix this major dilemma, stat.
In one swift movement, I remove my phone from my pants pocket and I dial a particular number in which I hope the recipient will answer their phone before my head spontaneously combusts with all the pressure I am under. I am going to get Hikaru and Haruhi together if it kills me. Perhaps that is being a tad dramatic? Regardless, they are as idiotic as the other when it comes to matters of the heart.
Note to self, find this stupid author whom is making me say these ridiculously cheesy clichés and pummel her with a mallet.
"James?" I smoothly utter, confidence exuding from my very pores.
"Yes, Hitachiin-sama?" he questions in response.
"Is everything…prepared?" I pause for dramatic emphasis just like in the movies.
I have quite a flair for high drama or so I like to think.
"Yes indeed. The plane will be prepared for take off at exactly 0700 hours."
"Perfect," I say in response and I smile a broad, toothy grin which scares Hunni and causes him to remain catatonic in shock for a short period of time.
I shrug my shoulders in a careless manner. He should have known better…after all this author is a cruel one as you will soon realise when she ends this chapter on a cliffhanger…
In walks Kyoya-sempai dressed as a rather grouchy and tempestuous usage-san.
I shake my head in disbelief… yes, she really is cruel. But at least she is apolaustic.
Apologies in advance for this fail of a chapter.
In other news, I have written a new Ouran fic *crickets* Anyway, I hope that you check it out and leave a review if you are able!
Thank you so much for your continuing support. There will be another update today as an apology for my absence!
