A/N: Hii Guys! So this is probably the first time I've updated the story in 2 freaking years! I abandoned the story like a total baka and probably lost a lot of the support I was getting. (But I honestly don't blame them.) I hope this makes up for it. But in the end I want to thank all of those people who supported it! Now, I know most of the people on Quotev are more eager for my update of the Wise Princess and The Powerful Protector, which I'll start working on after I'm done with this WAAAAAAY overdue chapter! (By the way, that's on fanfic too!) Now... drumroll please! Here's chapter 7!
Chapter Song: You're Going Down By Sick Puppies (I like the Nightcore version better but in the end it doesn't really matter, it still gets the point across.)
Bella's POV
We all crammed inside my orange truck. Of course, Eric was complaining the whole time, because he thought it was way too slow. It was really starting to piss me off.
"Don't diss my car! It was fucking gift and if you don't give it more respect, you can start walking!" I said angrily. "Oh come on, Bella! You know I would make it there way before you truck ever could. Besides, why don't you let Mike re-wire it to make it go faster!" Eric replied. "Hey! Don't bring me into this! Nothing can get in the way of Bella's respect for traffic laws!" Mike Interjected.
"You guys! Stop arguing! It's bad enough we have to kill vampires! Don't add this on top of it!" Angela yelled. She had water floating all around her, which was her equivalent to crying. I could tell she knew that the argument wasn't that big of a deal. It was the stress that was getting too her. I understood, it wasn't that easy killing vampires. But, what kept me going was the fact that none of the vampires really did care about human lives.
All of a sudden Edward's face popped into my mind. It all came back to me. The way I got lost in those beautiful eyes, and the electricity I felt just from being near him. Could he really be that bad? No one had ever made me -
No. It didn't matter. He was a vampire and it was my job to hunt him. I couldn't change that. The people they killed, the way they had no remorse for their lives too. I could forget him, and I could also smash-
BAM! Something had hit our car. Jessica yelped at the sudden impact. "Shit! Did we hit somebody?" Eric yelled. "I don't know, let's go out and check! It would be really bad if this ended up like I Know What You Did Last Summer!" I replied, jumping out of the car.
Everyone followed behind me, and we got out of my -hopefully not totaled- car. Jessica looked around in surprise. "Hey! Why isn't there any blood around here?" I looked around too, it didn't make any sense. There wasn't anything around us in sight, except for the millions of trees in the forest. There wasn't even a bird, which had been scared off by the loud noises we were making. Nothing could've survived a crash like that. Nothing except for-
"Vampires!" Mike hissed, finishing my thoughts. There was a vampire around here, and we all knew it. We all tensed up at the thought of a fight. None of us were mentally prepared for this. We didn't really have a chance to collect our thoughts before any of this. It must be the Cullens! I secretly hoped that it wasn't Edward. But, I knew I would NEVER admit that to anyone else. Footsteps fell against the ground. We all turned. My heart was in my throat with nervousness.
It quickly changed to surprise when I saw of all people, Riley Biers. Blood was dripping from the side of his mouth. He had a deranged look in his red eyes.
"A Newborn!" Angela yelled. It wasn't two seconds later that I knew.
You're going down.
