Chapter 5 from episode 4

*Some time later*

"So you want to talk about it?" I ask Lilly as we still had no luck finding a gas station. She was actually pretty quiet for most of the walk so I figure I break the silence.

"Talk about what?" Her tone came out harsh like how she used to talk to Kenny back at the motor inn.

"Look I'm sorry about yelling at you earlier but I don't take back what I said either. You and Carley somehow keep get at each other's throat and I hate to think what these fights will lead to." I explain to her.

"Lee she keep trying take shots at me especially with the last fight she almost brought my dad into this." She wanted to yell but she was smart enough to not let her anger get the best of her to make her cause walkers to hear us.

I stop to hold her close to me, something I haven't done in a while. "Lilly we haven't talk about your dad in a long time..."

"Lee this isn't the time.." She tries to avoid the topic but I not letting her.

"Considering that we won't have a lot of alone time anytime soon this is the best it get." I said to her as I went on to continue. "I understand you are trying to stay strong for your dad, but at some point its okay to just release all that are holding inside of you out."

"I shed enough tears when Kenny kill him right in front of me." Lilly respond in a hurt tone.

"I know you still have anger towards him but in a way you would probably had done the same thing if you was in his place but knowing the great leader you would have made sure if there were no more options before you pull the trigger. That is one of the things that Kenny could had work on at times not being so quick to act. At the end of the day you don't have to go through coping alone, but you can't just push the others away when they are trying to meet you halfway." I explain to her thinking she would disagree regardless but I have to still be honest with her.

"It's just hard at times realizing that he's not there. Your right though I do need to let go of some of this anger and sadness that I have in me or it will change me to someone who I don't want to become. I appreciate you never giving up on me because I know I can sometimes be a handful at times." Lilly said which actually stun me for a bit. I figure she was going to yell but hearing this from her made me feel good knowing that I can make Lilly feel better in her time of need.

"I'm always here for you Lilly." I said making her smile even more. She then wraps her arms around my neck and starts to kiss me despite being out in the opening, but yet I kiss her back and begin to enjoy this moment with her.

"Aww that's so sweet. Who would guess that people could find love in this new crazy ass world that we are in? I would however turn around if I were you two love birds." said an unknown voice that surprise both of us as me and Lilly stop to grab our guns. We turn to see someone in an orange hoodie wearing a white with what look like an axe getting ready to strike at us but stop when we drew our gun at her.

"Dang and you two are fast." said the unknown voice again but it didn't come from the stranger in the orange hoodie but a stranger, who I could tell was my race, (wearing a black hat with blue jeans long sleeve black shirt and a black leather jacket) who appears right behind us with a crossbow pointing at me. At this point I turn to point my gun at the stranger behind me while Lilly points the gun at the stranger in front.

"Lee do you think these two are the ones that have rung those bells?" Lilly asks me in tone where she hope the strangers wouldn't here.

"Not sure." I answer her honestly.

It seem that the stranger however heard what we said as he spoke back up. "Look I can't speak for that other person but I haven't rung any bells so I think we should try being calm..."

"Be calm!? Yea coming from the guy with a crossbow still pointing at my man." Lilly shot back interrupting him.

"Well your man is still pointing his gun at me. Hey mystery person over there you could try helping me out by saying how innocent you are unless you're not innocent then just keep standing there with your hands up in the air?"

"Wait so you two are not together?" I question him. I figure the two would are partners but this could explain why the other stranger hasn't said anything yet.

Lilly chime back in saying, "Together or not they better drop their weapons before I..."

"STOP please." We heard a soft voice that we know to well but couldn't believe that person is here.

"Clementine?" Me and Lilly both asks at the same time as we both turn to see Clem coming towards us.

The stranger with the crossbow look at Clem with a shock expression. "Oh dang we got a kid here. Look I'm dropping my weapon so I can prove to you that I am not a bad guy here." The stranger said as he slowly puts his crossbow on the ground and kick it towards me while the stranger with the axe slowly put her weapon back in book back leading to the person removing the hood off her head revealing her self as a young woman.

"So you're not from Crawford?" She ask us speaking for the first time.

"Well I not from no Crawford but I am from good old Jackson, Mississippi if you are interesting." The other stranger claim earning his self an angry look from the 3 of us making him back up.

"We are not from Crawford and I guessing you neither you two are the guys on the walkie-talkie." I said talking to both of them.

"No I'm not." The woman said.

"Yea I don't carry around a walkie-talkie like that." The other stranger also claim as I give him back his crossbow.

"In that case, I'm Lee, this is Lilly and Clementine. We are not looking for trouble." I tell them trying to keep things peaceful.

"Hi." Clementine spoke to the two strangers.

"Hello there Clementine and like I'm not looking for trouble as well. My name is Kendell." The man name Kendell introduce his self.

"I'm Molly and its good to hear that none of you are Crawford." The woman name Molly said with a small smile.

"I'm from Macon." I said reassuring Molly.

"Whats up with this place call Crawford that you don't want to meet anyone from there?" Lilly ask getting straight to the point which I am pretty curious myself about this place.

"You sure you all want to know? Molly question with all me, Lilly and Kendell nodding our heads saying yes.

Molly takes a deep breath before telling the story. "When everything started going to *hit, some people got together and sealed off that whole neighborhood. Folks willing to do anything to stay alive, stop the dead getting in. I try to avoid 'em."

"Why?" Lilly asks her.

Molly turns towards her and answers, "Let's just say they have a zero-tolerance policy for anyone who won't - or can't - live by their rules."

"So how would you know we weren't them?" Kendell ask this time.

Molly then turns slowly towards Clementine and responds, "Because there are no children in Crawford. Not any more."

"What do you mean, no children? Why not?" I question her.

"No children, no elderly, no-one with an advanced medical condition. Basically no-one who might be burden on the community. Crawford's all about the survival of the fittest. That's how they survived, while the rest of the world went to *hit around them." Molly explain to us.

"Damn that's sound like a cold place. Not wanting children and sick people there I better off making friends with the dead walkers. Not that I would do that." Kendell claims. My impression with Kendell is he seem like a good guy who comes up with lame jokes so far and has a soft side. Molly just seem straightforward like Lilly but with more attitude.

"Well just so you two know that is not how are group does things." I tell them so they could feel more relax.

"I know I was a difficult leader in the past but to that to children there's no way I could do that without feeling some sort of guilt." Lilly said as she looks at Clem like she was letting her know that wouldn't happen to her.

"The children they just forced to leave along with their parents. Left them to fend for themselves out here in the world." Molly went on to tell us about Crawford until a question pop in my head.

"How do you know all this?" I ask her.

"Everyone in Savannah knew. What was going on inside Crawford got passed around like a ghost story. Except this one was true." Molly answer me which led to everyone being silence and soaking up everything we just heard.

Clementine walks over to me with a sad expression on her face. "Clem what are you doing here, how did you even get here on your own?"

"Well Carley and Doug took a nap and I just didn't want to sit around and not help you and Lilly. We like a team."

"Clem I understand you want to help but there are times that you have to listen to my instructions which in this case I wanted you to stay in the house. Understand?" I explain to her. Part of me is appreciate and felt proud that Clem wants to help when she can even though she is just a little girl but at the same time she's not fully ready to take on everything in this new world especially just wandering the streets on her home. I can't be mad at Carley and Doug for we could all use some rest but still could had somewhat made sure Clem didn't just run off.

"Yes Lee." Clem answer me.

"As much as I like listening to this talk about teams we probably should get out of the opening before the dead find us so we can a make a plan about getting gas for you guys R.V." Kendell suggest, which I think is a pretty good idea right now.

"Wait if you guys got a way to travel out of the city, then I'm coming to." Molly said surprising us. She seem like more of a loner than travel with a group type of person.

"Just like that?" Lilly question her.

"Why not?" Molly ask back with a smirk.

"Thats fine with me." Kendell said smiling at Molly.

"Fine lets just head back to where the r.v was left at before we talk about getting gas for it." I command the group as we went to get our r.v to the house.

*Back at the house some time later*

With the help of our new members of our group Kendell and Molly, we were able to push the r.v to the house while killing a few walkers on our way. During the trip back we learn that Molly did ring the bells earlier, but only because it was how she gets around in the city by distracting the walkers with the loud sound. Kendell wasn't in the city for he recently got here from Douglasville where he got separated from his mom and sister with not knowing what happen to his dad for they hadn't had a strong relationship. I was actually sorta shock that he told me about his family but he said it was something about me that he feels he could trust and talk to me about anything which I appreciate hearing from a stranger. Also I ask about maybe finding a boat as Kenny suggest we do but both Molly and Kendell claim that either there were none found or in Molly's case the people of Crawford took them for parts which I'm pretty sure Kenny wouldn't like hearing that.

When we got home we introduce the two to Carley and Doug and discuss our plan.

"So we are not in a situation where not only does the r.v needs gas it also needs a new battery. I can fix it once we have the two but until then its not talking us anywhere." Lilly tells the group. When we park the r.v by the house she check it to find out that the battery was running low.

"So how are we suppose to get that stuff if Savannah is pretty much empty?" Carley asks folding her arms.

Suddenly an not so popular idea came to mind. "Base off what Molly told us earlier, sounds like Crawford is the one place that has everything we need. Maybe we should try there."

"That is true they would have both gas and battery there." Molly agree with me.

"Whoa I am up for getting the r.v working but have you forgotten how dangerous Crawford is? We can't just go expecting to take their stuff." Doug reminding us the danger that we will be dealing with.

"True but its not like we can't just go and try to ask I mean its worth a shot. Plus they could have spare medical supplies that we could use for later." Kendell chime in agreeing with the plan.

"Now that won't work. Like I told you all earlier they do not care for helping outsiders especially if they saw Clementine with us." Molly points out.

"Seriously what type of place are we dealing with here?" Carley demands angry about hearing all the negative about Crawford.

"The worst kind. But unless anyone has a better idea I don't see any other choice here." Molly said as we thought about the whole plan.

"If thats the case how exactly do we plan to do this?" Lilly asks.

After thinking it over another idea pop in my head. "Maybe we could just sneak in there that we way we won't have to cause a conflict with them. Only thing is finding out how can we sneak in."

"In that case I might actually know a secret way to get inside. Though I need a map of Savannah to show you all how to get to the perimeter and right into the center, where they keep their supplies."

"Well say so more, I actually pick up a map not to long ago." Kendell spoke up pulling the map out of his book bag and giving it to the Molly.

"Great! If we all work together on this I'm positive that this plan will work." I said with confident in my voice. At this point everyone else agree to go along with the plan. So we decide to go at night where everyone should be resting which gives us enough time to prepare ourselves. As I head to me and Lilly's room I see Clem hanging by the stairs waiting on me.

"I'm guessing you heard all that we have discuss?" I ask her with a smirk.

"Yea... Is it going to really be dangerous?" She ask me with concern. I knew exactly what she is talking about for Clem is not stupid and she just heard everything so there is no point of lying to her now.

"Honestly sweet pea, yes this is not like how we had to deal with those bandits at the motor inn for people could get hurt by going to Crawford. Yet we got to do it if we want to drive through Savannah." I truthfully told her.

"I just don't want anyone else to die." She said with a scare expression.

"Trust me Clem thats the last thing I want to see happen, but as the leader I can't promise no one will but I will try the very best I can to make sure that doesn't happen." I said to her. As much as I hate saying this type of stuff to her, Clem has to be ready to witness death and how to try to deal with them like Lilly has to her with her father.

"Well I guess I should get ready." She said out of no where getting up.

"Um getting ready for what? Bed?" I ask hoping she wasn't suggesting what I think she's suggesting.

"You said you'd need all of us to do this. And you said I'm a big help, remember?" She reminds me when I told her she did well with helping us out earlier.

"Molly said Crawford is the only place left in Savannah that still has people. That means it must be where my mom and dad are right?" She ask me as the guilt came back to haunt me. A little of me whats to believe that Clem's parents are still alive I mean what child, who doesn't know the true status of there parents, wouldn't want to believe that they will be reunited with there parents? Ultimately however, hearing the voicemail back at the house, I know the true status of her parents and that by now I should tell her the truth. Yet two things come to mind like one she's not going to just believe without prove or it will break heart to where I wouldn't be able to fix it. Lilly told me at some point I need to tell her but I don't know if I can do it.

"Can I please come with you? You even told me I should stay close to you and Lilly but most importantly you." She ask me with that soft voice of hers. So now I stuck with a choice to either have Clem stay and make someone stay with her until we come back or to take her with us and put her at risk. I can't exactly leave her here and expect someone useful to stay for we need all hands on deck for this mission. Maybe this can be a chance to see how Clem can handle dealing with this type of situations. Plus I have build her confidence at this point so it would hurt her if I told her know and if anything happens to me I know I can trust Lilly to take care of her. Lastly if we don't find her parents there than maybe this can convince her that her parents aren't alive, yea I know thats not the best way but I going with the flow right now.

"Okay, you can come. But you have to promise to stay quiet and do exactly what you're told the while time we're there." I answer her, bring a smile on her face.

"Okay I will go and get ready." She said running up the stairs.

"I hope none of this backfires or I will be consider the worst leader ever." I thought to my self as I go to the room to get prepare to go to Crawford.

Authors note: Well heres another update for you guys. With these major games coming out and school, I kinda haven't been writing but I will try to make more time. I pretty much have the story plan and trying to keep my self from making any changes from the plans I have set. So what do you guys think Of Kendell? He suppose to be base off of my personality with a few differences as a what if I was in the walking dead universe so you might get some realness and backstory of me through him in the story plus he will be like a certain character of the walking dead tv show to Lee that I won't discuss until later So lastly I am going to ask y'all a question: Between the now group of: Lee, Lilly, Clem, Carley, Doug, Molly, and Kendell do you think any of these characters are going to die in the next chapter?
