Chapter 7 from episode 5

(AU: I'm going to warn you now, by the time you finish reading the last few chapters, you probably going to be like I'm done with this story ha-ha but I will explain why I decided to go this route at the end. You have been warn.)

"That son of a *itch!" Kendell yells angrily at how some random stranger would steal an innocent little girl.

"I know right but right now we need to decide what happens next." I tell the group trying to remain calm about the situation, but it has been very hard for me to do. On one hand I feel anger because I have allow who ever was stalking my group to take away Clem, then on the other hand I was getting worry for what he might do to Clem.

"What happens is that we get in the r.v and try to find Clem within the city!" Lilly suggests which was somewhat not a bad idea.

"Shouldn't we try to wait and figure exactly where they would be before we just drive around on a wild goose chase?" Doug also suggests but Lilly seem to not like the idea.

"We can decide that while we are in the r.v, no sense of just waiting around considering that sicko could end up anywhere with Clementine." She said as I notice she was searching through her jean pockets. "Where are those keys?"

"Oh *hit I had to go get something out of there so I think I accidentally left them in vehicle." Carly admits causing an upset look to form on Lilly's face.

"You left them there where someone can come steal it!?" Lilly question her pretty much cause bad luck for the conversation stop when we all heard an engine go off. "Why does it sound like a car being crank?" Kendal asks as we ran outside to see what was going on. As soon as we all ran outside the house, we see the r.v was pulling off.

"Give us back our ride you crazy sons of *itches!" I yell trying to reach the r.v before it sped off.

"Stop!" Lilly try shouting but it was to late. Who ever decided to steal the r.v will be long gone by now.

"Just great just *ucking great! This wouldn't have happen if we actually had got in the r.v and did as I suggest." Lilly claim as I just shook my head in disbelief on what just happen.

"Will you chill? We will find another way to..." Carley attempt to keep the group calm but Lilly wasn't having it.

"Chill!? You mean how you CHILL in the and left the damn keys in the r.v? If I didn't know any better I say it was another group of bandits that you probably help just like in the past!"

"You are *ucking kidding me you still think I had something to do with those bandits from before?" Carley questions Lilly.

"Wait what happen before?" Molly asks curiously.

"At one point we was a bigger group, a bunch of bandits attack us claiming we skip out on a deal with them. Turns out someone in our group were giving them our supplies and since then we never figure out who did was behind that operation. So considering what just happen I wouldn't be surprise if it was you Carley." Lilly explains to Molly. Doug stood beside Carley with a serious look on his face.

"Back off Lilly she had nothing to do with that and especially now it was an accident." He warns her. Despite my concern for Clem I need to keep the group under control.

"We seriously don't have time for this." I gently grab her arm but this cause Lilly to shake my hand off of her.

"No I handling this *itch right now Lee!" Carley, out of nowhere, seem to have enough for she pushes Lilly really hard.

"Don't talk to him like that! You know what Lilly, it's still hard to believe how you two ended up together. I swear sometimes I think Lee can do better." Me along with everyone else besides Lilly mouths drop when we saw the way Carley shove Lilly.

"What did you just say?" Lilly demand in a low tone showing an evil look that I had seen before back when we was trying to figure out who was dealing with the bandits that night.

"You heard me Lilly. Face it you still haven't gotten over the fact that your dad died and you still used that as person excuse to try to make everyone around you seem evil and in the process make your self the boss of everyone which you not. I bet you could care less that Clem is gone since now you can have Lee to your self to make your self feel special!" Carly yells like she had been saving that speech for this moment.

Lilly gave Lilly a cold stare until she pulls out her hand gun and yells, "THATS *UCKING DOES IT! She aims it towards Carley.

"LILLY STOP!" I scream snapping her out of her anger before she wills something that she would regret. She blinks a few times realizing what she was about to do and slowly puts the gun back in her pocket. Our attention was now focus on a familiar sound that wasn't a good sign.

"We are screw..." Kendell mutter out loud. He was referring to the fact that coming from both sides of the road is an army of walkers heading towards our direction. Between Lilly and Carley yelling at each other, they most likely would have drawn attention to the walkers.

"See what you two brats cause?" Molly asks sarcastically getting Hilda out to defend her self.

"Molly you really know how to make things more worse then they are now." Doug points out while protecting Carley.

"Focus! Everyone back in the house now!" I order as we all ran back inside the house before the walkers made a grab at us. After running inside the house, we try our best to make sure the walkers didn't come through the front door. However we underestimated how man walkers there were for a whole bunch of them came crashing through the side windows.

"For real?" Kendell ask getting his crossbow out. I look behind me to see that another group of walkers broke though the back door, which meant the only option, was to head of the stairs.

"Everyone gets up stairs I will cover you. Kendell save your arrows!" I command the group. They nod and made a run for it but not before Kendell handed me a knife so I could save bullets. As the group made their way upstairs I took out a few walkers until they gave me the signal that they were ready for me to come up.

"Lee come up we can lose them in the attic!" Lilly yells to get my attention. I quickly make a dash up the stirs to see Lilly being the last one to go up the she made it up, I follow behind so I could pull the ladder to keep the walkers from following us.

*Attic*

"Is everyone alright?" I ask in concern for the group after escaping the army of walkers.

"Yea that was a bit to close to comfort." Doug answers for him and Carley.

"Yea it was but we need to find another way out of this house and fast. I think with most of the nearby walkers are in the house we might can make a clean escape once we outside." I suggest with the group while letting them catch their breaths. I starting to think that are luck is beginning to run out, since we have been too lucky so far.

"Regardless that was pretty cool moment we had just then." Kendell jokes, that earns him an angry expression from Molly.

"Are you insane, we almost got kill just back there." She points out. It is somewhat un expecting to see her blow up like this for she is usual one not to say much.

"Whoa Molly calm down. I am just trying to lighten up the mood." Kendell backs up from her slowly.

"You need to take what's going on much more serious then this." Molly demand.

"Oh and you don't think I am?" Kendell ask like he was offended.

"Hell no!" Molly raising her voice at him.

"Oh look who acting like the brat now?" Lilly chimes in.

"Says the one who pull a gun on her." Molly reminds Lilly leading to Carley folding her arms.

"Yea what was that about huh Lilly? You was planning on getting rid of me right then were you?"

"Do not play the innocent card with me Carley." Lilly shot back getting in front of face.

"You was going to kill her in cold blood if Lee didn't stop you!" Doug yells and now I am at my boiling point. I am already stress about trying to reach Clem and this whole fighting and arguing was not helping at all.

"ENOUGH!" I scream taking a head statue and throwing at the wall out of frustration. We all see a small hole that I made causing us to be remain silent until out of nowhere, "Well damn Lee what did the stone head do to you?" Kendell asks me.

"Please shut up Kendell." Molly request with Kendell quickly saying, "Okay."

After calming down some, I took a tall lamp and hit the wall to see how hard it was. "Well this looks like an opening that can get us out of here. I figure we take turns using this lamp to get this wall to open up, I will go first and in the mean time I want all of you to settle whatever differences that you have with the others because if we going to work together to save Clementine I can't keep worry about one of you killing the other. Is that clear?" I order them to where I wasn't taking no for an answer. Lilly, Carley, and Doug went to sit down on a couch while Kendell and Molly go to a corner leaving me to focus on taking down the wall.

"Kendell listen I'm sorry for blowing up on you like that. I guess I was still workup over..." Molly begins to apologize but Kendell cuts her off.

"Hey there's no need to apologize. Beside I wouldn't let anything happen to you." He tells her with a wink catching Molly by surprise by his choice of words/

"Why would you say that?" She questions him.

Kendell leans closer to look in her eyes. "You really have no idea do you?"

Finally what Kendell has been saying register in Molly's mind to where she sort of started blushing. "Oh I didn't actually think, well I figure you was just trying to be funny."

"I made have my moments but I do like you Molly. Your pretty brave, straightforward, and have you're pretty hot." Kendell confess with a shy smile.

"Well... thanks. I guess you're pretty attractive and brave your self." Molly admits back.

"What about my jokes?" He winks at her but Molly points to her weapon Hilda saying, "Do not ruin the moment."

"Say no more." Kendell responds and process to give her a nice kiss on her lips. Seeing the display reminds me of how far Lilly and me have came as far as our relationship has been. I know that things most likely won't turn back normal but it's nice to have that special someone in your life and she has been great around Clem. Look at me sounding like Clem is my daughter approving who I am with ha-ha, but then again she has become a daughter like figure in my life. Maybe we as a group could find somewhere out of the cities maybe in the country side and settle down there.

Well I guess its time to rotate, I think Kendell can handle it from here. "Alright Kendell your turn."

The two lovebirds turn their attention to me and walk towards me so I could hand Kendell the lamp. "I got you Lee. *Looks at the hole I made* you put some heavy work in Lee, I should get this hole open in no time." Kendell claims with Molly pulling her weapon out.

"I will help him that way we can get out of here faster." She tells me with a smirk.

"Cool I will talk to the others until then. Try not to get too distracted while I'm gone." I said with a laugh earning me double glares from the new couple. I walk over to the others and sat beside Lilly to see that no one kills each other yet so that was good.

"So how's it going over here? Kendell and Molly seem to have no issue working this out." I ask curiously.

Lilly reaches for my hand for comfort. I, in return, hold her hand softy as she continues the conversation. "Well I will admit Carley I have been acting like a *itch to you so I'm sorry. I am aware in order for this group to survive we need to have trust in each other." I have to admit, this is pretty big for Lilly to do. Though we would need to talk about that gun incident there's a time for that talk later.

However I can tell by Carley's expression, she wasn't fully convinced to call truces with Lilly. "I don't Lilly. I mean you did pull a gun on me and that's not how usual fights go down."

"Carley..." I mutter but Lilly squeeze my hand gently stopping me.

"No she's right, if someone would have did that to me I would feel the same. At this point all I can ask is that we try to rebuild that trust and if you choose to continue to hate that's fine I will accept that but never again do I want to hear you question how I feel about Clementine and especially not Lee. When I was so close to being in complete darkness, he help me through the pain of losing my father and though I still need healing I will always love Lee for that. Understand?" I have never seem Lilly be so calm yet so serious at the same time and I would be lying if I didn't say my heart skip a beat from that last part.

"I can respect that, since I know I'm willing to do whatever is take to protect Carley. Hopefully from here on out we won't have to worry about pointing a gun at each other anymore. Right?" Doug suggest willing to have a truce for now as I nod at his response.

"Agree. Carley?" I question her as Doug look over to her and rubs her shoulder.

She gives it some thought and takes a deep breath before answering. "It made take awhile for you to regain my trust but I'm willing to put of differences aside for now until we rescue Clementine and we can go from there." After that her and Lilly shook hands which was nice to see which means the group would have more cooler heads when it comes to rescuing Clem.

"Wooooo I think we have a opening!" Kendell announce to us as we hurry over to see our new exit.

"Great all we need to do now is..." I got cut off from a sound coming from the walkie-talkie.

"Lee cough cough Lee I'm okay I'm with where my parents... oh no... *Click*" said the faint voice of Clem and for some reason she sound different but I guessing it was cause the walkie-talkie was breaking up.

"What did she mean she's with her parents?" Molly asks.

"She's at the hotel where her parents were saying. That means the guy hasn't moved her." I explain to the group base on what we just heard.

"For now." Lilly said with Carley following up saying, "Yea for now."

"Which means we need to go now before his plans change." Kendell points out and I fully agree.

"Right lets go." With that said we enter the exit and made our way out of the attic. We found ourselves in another room where we see a dead couple who kill had kill themselves before turning into walkers laying together on a bed.

"Smart. Think of all the people we've seen go... they got to do it their own way. Together." I said out loud looking at the couple.

"Please don't say that Lee. It just makes me think that maybe when my dad died maybe I should had done more as his daughter." Lilly softy responds as she fights back tears.

I walk over to her and hug her tight and whisper, "Lilly me and your dad may had never agree but I know if there's one thing we can agree on is that we both our proud of you."

"Thank you. *she kiss me on the cheek* Now lets find a way out of here and find Clementine." She went over to the dead couple and pick up ammo from the handgun.

"Yea we need to keep going." Molly chimes in.

That door over right there looks like a balcony that we could use to get out of here." Kendell said pointing at the door. I go over to open to see another building across from this one.

The group came behind me to check out the area. "We can take this way to River Street without walking on the streets and dealing with walkers." Lilly suggest.

"Lets go." Carley said with Doug saying after her, "go head first Lee." I went first to jump on the balcony to the other side. Then it was Lilly's turn, then Carley and Doug as well as Kendell. We didn't notice however that the balcony was already starting to break and we realize to late when Molly got on the balcony and took her weapon out to try to jump only fall down to the ground when the broke out of no where.

"NO!" Kendell yelling running towards a nearby ladder and begin to climb downstairs.

"I will help Kendell, you three stay up here." I command the group and was about to go after him until Lilly grab my hand.

"What no! We can..." Lilly begin to speak but I stop her by calmly telling her, "Lilly trust me okay and if anything happens if we be up to you 3 to find Clem got it?"

"Okay Lee I trust you but come back to me." She lets me go so I can run to the ladder.

"I will." as I begin to climb down. When I made it to the street I found Kendell with Molly holding hands.

"Molly I so so sorry, I should had let you go first and this wouldn't had happen." I hear Kendell say softy to her.

"Shhh is okay I ughh I don't blame you for what happen. I should had watch my step" Molly weakly said.

"Is she okay?" I ask as I walk over to them until I was shock by what I saw... A pole stuck through Molly's chest.

I kneel beside him and put my hand on his shoulder as I saw crying. "We can't lift her up like this Kendell for she will be in to much pain and lose a lot of blood." I hate to admit to Kendell but in this case we can't help Molly, sure we could pull her out but without proper medical treatment she would die from losing too much blood.

"There's got to be a way Lee I won't lose her like this!" He argues with panic in his voice. Unfortunately two walkers down the alley heard him and turn to face us.

"Oh no.. Kendell whatever we are going do when need to do it now!" I warn him giving him the option of what to do about Molly's situation.

"I'm sorry Kendell *cough* but we know there's only one way this can end so you know what you have to do." Molly quietly said in pain.

"No no no please don't ask me to do this." Kendell starts crying more as more walkers begin to appear from both sides of the alley.

Molly softly rubs Kendell's face making him stop. "You have to please do it for me Kendell *she then pass her weapon to Kendell* and take care of Hilda for she will protect you like she has for me. Last thing just so know... I am happy that you kiss me when you did... but I want you to move on and find someone else. I don't want you to miss out on happiness because you trying to hold on to me?" Molly begs him and after a few seconds suddenly something change in Kendell's expression.

"Lee go back to with the others I will take care of Molly." He told me all to calmly.

"Like hell I'm not letting you do this alone." I shot back as the walkers surrounded us.

"... That's to bad because I wasn't asking you." He then pushes me back and locks the gate keeping me from getting through.

"Open the door Kendell I'm not letting you die like this!" I demand but he game low smile.

"Who said I'm dying? Like I said I'm going to take care Molly so you can get your girl back Lee..." He turns back and takes Molly's weapon and a handgun and turns slightly back to me and simply said, "I glad I had met you Lee and hopefully we will meet again." Kendell then takes out some of the walkers with Hilda as I try to get through the lock gate. While doing so I heard one last bullet go off until I could no longer see Kendell in the crowd of walkers as I slowly went back up the ladder to meet up with the group.

*Rooftop*

After meeting up with the group I explain to them what had happen and they didn't take it to well. I told them that it was my fault that I should at least got Kendell out of there and maybe try to help more with Molly. They told me it was out of my hands and that I did all I could but I wasn't too sure of that as we continue to walk on the rooftop. We came to a stop when we saw an unfinished hole from one of them buildings that show a dark room from the inside.

"Man there's no telling what's down in that room." Doug said trying to look down but couldn't see anything.

I look around the area and notice how weak the roof was. "This roof can give way." I tell the group after observing the area.

"Yea it could." Carley agree with me.

"Lets keep going everyone." Lilly patted my shoulder hard leading to everyone having shock looks on their faces... for Lilly accidentally knock the walkie talkie out of my hand making it drop down to the floor.

"Damn" She mutters in disbelief.

"You got to be kidding me." I said in frustration with my hands over my head. Its like our good luck was over and the closer we get to Clementine the more bad luck we got.

"Lee calm down it's not over yet." Doug tries to reassure me.

"Yea I will go get it and then we can back and search for Clem." Carley volunteer but I wasn't sure if that was a good idea considering the walkers that could be hiding in the room.

"Maybe we won't need it, its might be best to leave it." I suggest to the group with doubt in my voice.

"No way man what if that stranger takes her somewhere and she can't tell us?" Doug reminds me and he was right unfortunately.

"Doug is right Lee. Relax I will be back real quick." She said before jumping down to get the walkie-talkie.

"I'm sorry Lee." Lilly said in a hurt tone.

"Its fine, lets just hope Carley can hurry up get it and we can get out of here." I said as we see grab the talkie.

"I got it now help me up." Doug and me try to reach for her hands but it didn't work. I turn to see what we could use to help get Carley out and I happen to see a short metal pole. I pick it up and use it to allow Carley to grab a hold on it. When we try pulling her up the pole slip out my hand causing her to fall hard on the floor. It was like time stood still as we look at a scare Carley realizing what was going to happen if we didn't get her out of there. Doug and I snap out our trance and try once again to get Carley out of there but there was no way she should reach us.

"Damn it." Lilly said out of nowhere. She looks at me and saying, "I wish we had more time Lee." before jumping down to help Carley.

"What the hell are you doing!?" I question Lilly as I watch her give Carley a boost so we could reach her.

"You said I have to re-earn your trust Carley, so I say this make up for it. *She looks up at me* Get her out of here!" She demands pulling her gun out to defend her self. We mange to get Carley out of the room but we couldn't see Lilly anymore but still is able to hear her defend herself against the walkers.

"Lilly I coming after you!" I yell trying to find an opening to help her.

"I love you Lee, go get Clementine for..." she was cut off by the sound of walkers attacking her.

I was about to jump but Doug grabs a hold of me keeping from doing so. "No you can't think about Clementine." He claim but I wasn't trying to hear it.

"I won't let her die!" I scream feeling my eyes water and my rage building up

"Lee she already made up her mind." Carly softly tells me.

I drop to my knees and yell for her name, "LILY!" only to get no response once so ever.

At that point I have to accept the cold hard truth. "She's dead...I let her die..." I confess as I slowly got up bawling my fist.

"Lee I'm sorry..." Carley try to comfort me but I snap out of anger.

"Sorry?! She went down there for you no thanks to you since you had to make her feel guilty!" I yell at her heading towards the hotel, which is very close by.

"Lee you need to calm down.." Doug chimes in but I wasn't hearing them. I felt so angry that all this *hit happen out of nowhere.

"No I lost already lost two people in this group and now Lily, hell I done being calm! *Gets my hand gun and small axe ready* There's only way this can end, and that's taking out that son of a *itch who took Clementine in this first place!" I said letting the rage in me take over. I had to if I am able to save Clem.

"I thought we was planning on rescuing Clementine without killing." Doug mentions our original plan to just get Clem to safety.

"Yea you rethink this, this isn't you." Carley said referring to at this point I wasn't quick to want to kill anyone who had wrong us.

I close my eyes to think of my next choice of action. "Carley... Doug... Leave now go outside of the city. We will meet you by the train."

"What?" Doug question along with Carley saying, "Bull*hit we are in this together."

"I am demanding you to do what I said! I can't afford to lose any more people and if something happens to me, then you two will need to take care of Clementine. *Looks back at the hotel* besides I want to handle this guy personally."

"Lee?" Carley ask with shock in her voice not used to this other side of me.

Doug gently put his arm on her shoulder to reassure her. "There's no stopping him, plus he has a point. He will be fine."

"Okay Lee but you better come back to us." Carley warns me but I already knew there would be a 50/50 chance I will survive but I refuse to let doubt keep me from recusing Clem.

"Trust me when I say this. I not planning on dying now." I tell them out of cockiness. I then get on this sign that seem like a bridge, and made my way to the other side. Once I got to the building I turn and give a nod to Carley and Doug leading them to do the same as they made their way out of the city. I turn facing the hotel, seeing a ladder down from the current building I was in, and made my way into the hotel where the final showdown will take place.
