"Abby, I still think this is a bad idea," Krei began as his assistant passed out the earbuds to her, Hiro and Wasabi, as well as the program card to Baymax. She smiled at him, determined, "It's the least I can do. And I still trust you to run the portal."

"We'll take good care of her," Hiro grinned, "Baymax in particular."

"And I have latex gloves if we have to get out of our suits. Multiverse science has little data on what germs we might encounter and..." No one paid much attention to Wasabi after that.

"I want to know all about our versions in the Marvel Universe," Fred insisted. "Not everyone has a doppelgänger," Go-Go replied. "Be safe," Honey said as she hugged her departing teammates.

"You especially," Krei said to Abby. She hugged him, a playful grin forming, "You're starting to sound like my father." He turned bright red. "I'll be fine, and we'll see each other soon enough," she told him.

The countdown started.

Fred opened a bag of chips. Aunt Cass raised an eyebrow before sneaking a handful, her nerves showing.

Honey and Go-Go held each other, as couples do.

Krei took in Abby as long as he could, determined he would not chance her safety ever again.

And then, the small party-Abby, Wasabi, Hiro and Baymax- were headed to the Marvel 616.

"Hi there," Hans said as he entered the room. "You must be hungry."

Tadashi studied Hans. There was an unmistakable coldness in his eyes but also something of an effort being made on his part. He quickly mulled over the game theory and Occam's razor of the situation and determined starvation wouldn't help him in whatever lay ahead. Hans blinked as he rushed for the food.

"I'm sorry, haven't eaten for hours," Tadashi said between bites. "Of course," Hans replied. "You know, you probably could heat your own food and tea with those powers of yours," he said as he tilted his head towards the burnt pillow. "Where is this exactly? The last thing I remember..." Tadashi then clammed up. Someone had knocked him out while he was confronting Callaghan. Was an accomplice of the professor? Was it this man here, or some agent of his? "I just want to get back to my little brother." Hans excused himself.

Outside, he passed Deadpool down the hall, well out of Tadashi's earshot. "Hey, Han Solo!" the mercenary chirped, draping an arm around him. Hans smiled weakly at him. "How's it going with my little delivery?" Deadpool asked. "You've received your payment, there's nothing left that concerns you. Why are you still here?" Deadpool's index finger pushed downward, echoing a teardrop, "I was just on my way out, chibi chibi. No need to be a jerk." Hans thought for a moment, "Do you have extra transports back to his universe?" Deadpool blinked, "Maybe..." Hans gritted his teeth, "I might have more leverage with him if I can offer him a way home. Name your price." Deadpool's smile pressed against his mask...

Hans then went back into Tadashi's room. Tadashi looked up at him, "What is going on here? Why exactly am I here?" Hans took a deep breath, laying on the sadness, "Another kingdom is trying to take over this one. My brothers were desperate." Tadashi looked at him disbelievingly, "You mean, you kidnapped me to fight some game of thrones? You took me away from my family and expect me to trust anything you say?" He let out a burst of flame in his anger, immediately horrified by his lack of control.

Hans grabbed the pitcher of water by the bed and doused the flames, "I know. I tried... I tried talking them out of it but no one listens to the youngest son of 13." Tadashi nodded slowly, the smoke enveloping him, "That doesn't explain why you took me- I'm not even sure I'm in the same universe anymore." Hans turned away, his eyes triumphant. "You're not. And if you really want to leave, I have a way to get you home here and now."

"What's the catch?"

Hans turned to face Tadashi, "None. It was wrong of my brothers to have you kidnapped, even if some evil ice witch is trying to invade these lands." He handed Tadashi the transport device.

Tadashi looked at the strange object, "And this would get me home right away?" "Yes. One way passage." "And what happens to you?" Tadashi asked. "We fight with all we've got," Hans replied.

"It's because of my fire powers, then?"

Hans nodded.

Tadashi looked back at the transporter, "I don't have great control over my powers.

Most of my life, I've focused on hiding them."

Hans stared at him, playing his part well, perhaps even feeling it somewhat, "What are you saying?"

"Well, I don't know if I'll be much use in this battle but if your people need my help..."

"I would be able to train you," Hans said. "That way, when you got home, you would have control over your powers and wouldn't have to worry about hurting anyone."

Tadashi smiled and handed back the transporter device. "I'll leave this with you for now. I might just burn it and then I'd never see Hiro again."

"Who's that?" Hans hates himself for even asking- it's nothing he can use but he still wants to know. "My little brother. He's the real fighter, makes these amazing battle robots." "You sound impressed by him," Hans whispers. "He's a handful, don't get me wrong, but..."

"He's lucky to have you," Hans smiles, feeling something natural in it for once. And maybe a whiff of jealousy. 12 big brothers and none would talk about him like that. Hans glanced at the portrait with the eye holes. They stood empty. Hans sighed in relief, not knowing the mirror was a window on its opposite side.

"Well, we now have our fire soldier."

"Once he's trained."

"We have enough intelligence from Arendelle for Hans to teach him to control it."

"I don't know if we should let this relationship continue, though."

"Hans is just playing the same part he did with Princess Anna."

"We have no shortage of ways to deal with Hans if the need arises."

"And what about our weapon?"

"I agree. He's willing to protect our borders but..."

"He will be more dangerous to us once he can control his powers."

"Only if he's on a different page."

"Look at him- he's not expecting to invade, just protect this kingdom."

The eldest brother smiled evilly, "If Hans can't convince our weapon that the kingdom won't be safe without our preemptive strike on Arendelle, I know enough dark magic to finish the job."
