Back at base, everyone is gearing up when Neptune runs into camp.
"Have you guys seen Blake?" Neptune frantically asks.
"No, But we heard some fighting down south, was that not you?" David replies, rushing to Neptune.
"Maybe, I don't know.. We were overrun by grimm and Blake told me to run back here and that she could handle it." Neptune explained while grabbing his arm in pain. Neptune was in rough shape, rips, cuts, and bruises all over. His aura must be depleted from fighting so much.
"Alright lets move into the forest, and figure out what's going on." David commands the rest of the group. Locating Tyler was difficult because of the silence that shook the forest, until the sounds of gunfire emerged from shadows once again.
"Oh don't worry, I can take on all these grimm by myself, totally." Tyler sarcastically says
"I don't need any help, whatsoever." The horde of grimm just seemed to never end, one more dead, another rise from the shadows. Tyler thought he was about to be overrun until he heard the distinct sound of Magnhild, and sure enough Nora comes flying in and lands a powerful blow to an Ursa, violently caving in its skull and forcing its face into the dirt. One after another backup arrives, Last being David who instantly joins the fight. It was becoming hard to gather footing due to all the decapitated bodies of grimm. Tyler's Lunar Cyclone was a beheading and limb removing machine, It was quite violent watching him fight with it.
Finally the grimm seem to start thinning out, they become less surrounded and eventually defeat all the grimm. Since everyone was too busy fighting, Tyler was the only one who knew about Blake. He instantly rushed to her side. It took a couple seconds for the other members to realize what has happened. David rushes and pushes everyone out of the way and instantly starts to perform CPR. Everyone watches, expecting his efforts to be worthless, And that's what it seemed for a while. But David is not a man that would give up, And he wouldn't let anyone get in his way.
"C'mon Damn you!" David yells at Blake.
David frantically continues trying to revive the seemingly lifeless body.
Finally Weiss grabs David's shoulder "Your efforts are futile. . . She's gone. . ."
"No she isn't! I can still save her!" David assures Weiss.
Everyone stands and watches David helplessly try to revive her.
Then, a miracle, Blake awakens from what everyone thought was her eternal slumber.
Blake gasps for air, and chokes on some blood. It was a horrible sight. No one knew what to say, everyone stood in shock. Back at camp they try to give Blake the best medical care they can with their limited supplies.
Tyler turns to Neptune "So, what happened?"
"Well.. On the way back from our supply run, We ran into a huge pack of grimm.. All I remember was struggling to fight the massive horde, we had to drop the supplies. We couldn't fight while trying to carry them. I don't remember much, I.. there's not much more too it. She told me to run ahead and get some form of help.." Tyler nods and gets up. Stretches, and walks away.
"I'm surprised by the lack of emotion from Tyler" Pyrrha says to Nora.
"Yeah.. I think he is still emotionally beaten by Ren and Sun. He still talks about what he could have done differently. How he could have saved them." Nora replies.
Pyrrha stands up "Lets give David and Blake some space. This may be her last moments."
Nora pings up from sitting "Alrighty then!"
On Tyler's way to his tent, he is intercepted by Weiss. "Can I talk to you?"
"Sure, What do you want to talk about?"
Weiss leans up against a nearby tree and crosses her arms.
"I feel terrible." Weiss exhales with a sigh.
"I told him to stop. . . I told him she was gone. . . I gave up hope so easily, I was convinced he wouldn't be able to revive her. I told him to quit, and. . ." Weiss Shuffles and moves away from the tree.
"It's really hard to put into words but I feel terrible." She steps closer to Tyler.
"I-, I-I, I Ju-Hmph." She struggles to speak anything coherent.
"I don't know." Weiss finally says, And without waiting for a reply from Tyler, Walks away.
Silence overtakes the camp. Everyone loss for words as they wait and see if Blake will recover.
