CBI gathering
Teresa looked into the rear view mirror and caught the eyes of four year old Michelle and smiled. The Jane family was on there way to the CBI gathering. Teresa was excited to see everyone again, she missed the CBI sometimes but sometimes she didn't. The thing she missed most about the CBI was the people, she missed working with Grace and Rigesby. The last time she had spoken to Grace and Rigesby was at Michelle's fourth birthday party three months ago.
She watched as the black SUV pulled up to the park. She took a deep breath and exited the car. Once her feet touched the grass and she smelled in the fresh California air she smiled.
"Mama!"Her little angle called from the back seat. She smiled shut her door and opened her daughter's door.
"Hello Princess did you have a nice nap?"She asked. Michelle nodded her brownish/blackish natural curls bouncing up and downing. Teresa smiled, unbuckled her seat belt and lifted her up.
Once out of the car Michelle struggled to get out of her mother's sat her down and Michelle ran to Ben and Maddie screaming,"Maddie, Ben!"
Teresa smiled and watched her energetic daughter run off to play with her friends. Jane walked up beside Teresa and pressed his lips to her temple whispering an 'I love you' in her hair causing Teresa ro smile.
"I love you too."Teresa said taking Jane's hand and leading him to Grace,Wayne,Ben, and Maddie.
"Hi guys."She said walking up to them.
"Hey boss."Wayne answered receiving a glare from Teresa.
"I'm not your boss."She said.
Wayne just smiled at her and wrapped his arm around Grace's waist.
"Its good to have the CBI gang all here again."Grace said.
"Yes it is."Jane said looking around.
"Michelle look there is an air plane."Jane said pointing south-west in the sky.
Michelle smiled and lifted her arms up towards Jane telling him she wanted lifted up. He smiled, picked her up and placed her on his shoulders Michelle smiled up at the sky and watched as the air plain flew thought the sky leaving little clouds in its heard her name being called in the distance and she looked behind her and saw Madeline Hightower waving her over.
"Excuse me for a moment."Teresa said and walked/jogged over to Hightower.
Once she got over there Hightower gave Teresa a hug and smiled at her.
"How have you been Lisbon?"She asked.
"Its Jane now."Teresa corrected.
"I heard rumors about that, but they were never confirmed,"Madeline explained,"So he finally got his butt in gear and told you how he felt?"
"Yep."Teresa said popping her p.
"How did he tell you?"She asked.
"I started dating a guy named Marcus well he got a job offer in D.C. and wanted me to go with him and marry him, I agreed to go with but didn't agree to marry him yet, until Jane dug up a dead women's case dragged us to Florida to catch the murder. He wrote a letter pretending to be the killer and when I found out it was all a ruse I was furious I even threw water in his face. I called a taxi and they drove me to the air port, while in the taxi I called Marcus and agreed to marry him. While the plane was getting ready to take off Jane hopped over a tall fence, spraining his ankle in the process, illegally bordered a plane and confessed his love for me in front of 20 to 30 people."Teresa explained.
Hightower smiled and said,"Sounds like something he would do."
Teresa smiled and watched as Jane chased Michelle around the park trying to catch her.
"Was it hard for Jane?"Hightower asked.
"Hard for him about what?"She asked.
"Having a little girl."Hightower said.
"At first it did a little, but once they placed Michelle in his arms you could see all the fear and heartache was replaced by joy and happiness."She said.
"Mama, Mama!"Michelle yelled as she ran to her mother. Teresa picked her up before she crashed into her legs.
"Yes sweetheart."She said while kissing her hair.
"Daddy wants to know if we can eat now."Michelle said.
"In a minute baby, but first I would like you to meet a friend of Mommy's, Madeline this Michelle, Michelle this is Madeline."She said.
"Hi."Michelle said happily.
Madeline smiled and said 'Hi' back.
It was getting late and Michelle was getting tired.
"Im heading out Teresa."Wainright said coming up to Teresa.
"Okay, thanks for coming."Teresa said.
"Anytime."Waintright said and hugged Teresa, she then hugged back.
They got everything in the car, including a sleepy Michelle, Teresa got in followed by started the car and pulled out of the park.
"I had fun, Did you?"Jane nodded to tired to took Teresa's hand and intertwined their fingers and brought her hand to his lips.
"I love you Teresa."Jane said.
"I love you too Patrick."Lisbon said and slowly drifted off to sleep along with little Michelle
