Inwardly, Tadashi had been fighting for control against the King of the Southern Isles from the start. He'd relinquished control to save Hans and everything since then had been a nightmare. His powers used to kill Hans' 11 middle brothers. Terrorize the Southern Isles as rebellion stirred. And now this. Hateful words coming out of his mouth. Tons of ice-cold water extinguishing his flames that probably would have killed someone without his powers. Tadashi smiled in relief.

"Do not look so smug," the King's voice echoed in his mind as he felt his body move towards Hiro, drawing the sword that had once belonged to Hans. "I won't let you! Please, Hiro. He's..." Tadashi begged. "You have been far more resistant since you've seen him. I won't let some pitiful child take away my weapon!"

"No!" Tadashi screamed. He was in full control of his body again, but too late to stop the sword from running through. It wasn't Hiro who crumpled in his arms, however. Hans had run in front of Hiro just in time.

"Hans!" The Hamada brothers shouted, tears coming down fast- the last traces of the goblin mirror leaving Tadashi's system. Hans gave them a tired smile, "I'm glad you two are..." His eyelids drifted shut.

Hiro screamed out for Baymax and Grand Pabby as Tadashi held Hans, pleading with him to stay. Baymax scanned Hans, "He is passing on." Hiro shot a desperate look at the elder troll, "Isn't there any magic you have that can save him?" Grand Pabby rushed to Hans' side.

"His heart... It's too damaged to..." Hans coughed, looking somewhat annoyed at the noise. "Heh, guess your sister was wrong," he said, looking at Elsa. "I imagine I'd have been able to walk away from this if it was completely frozen." Elsa didn't know what to say to that and buried her face against Wasabi's chest.

"Don't talk like that. I won't give up! I'm here to save you," Tadashi insisted. Hans sat up, his eyes wincing, "But you already did. These past few weeks with you and Hiro... I've never felt better or more alive or..." Hans shuddered. "Do you mind making it a bit warmer?"

Tadashi held Hans close and kissed him- feeling the warmth of the other man die down as his final moments came.
