And with those hauntingly familiar names and horrible pain, she left with a swish of her wand and a puff of smoke.
Pink and purple swirled around him silver sparks stung his skin. Pain coursed through his bones as they mutated.
Wind tossed light weight objects through the air but missing him entirely.
The wind and pain ceased a few long minutes later.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a golden glow coming from the top of the Food Cart, he could have sworn wasn't there before. He found it was a beautiful gold mirror. He figured Trish had left him. It had designs of flowers and gargoyles on it. It was a strange mixture of beauty and hideousness. The gold surface glowed, that is when he realized the room was dark. The only light sources were the Mirror, the Rose, and the Vanity lights.
He looked at his reflection, and immediately throwing the mirror across the room, but it did not break.
He was hideous. He had a mixture of a horse and crocodile snout that blended into his normal skin. He had tuffs of blond hair and had scars covering every inch of his scalp. Fangs protruded up like a warthogs then another set descended down like vampire fangs. There was so much going on, on his face that he didn't want to look down at his body.
But curiosity got the best of him. He went to his vanity and saw more of himself.
His black pants and white shirt were ripped as he had the upper body of a gorilla. His arms, human, had tattoos lined his arms like sleeves. On his right wrist was a red as blood rose blooming so boldly it seemed to glow.
His hands had scars as well as scales. Glassy scales. They would have been very disproportionate to his normal body, being too big, but now his entire body was strangely large or small.
His finger nails turned into silver claws.
His legs were coved in brown shaggy fur until his knees the rest of his legs were suddenly turned into minty green scales like the ones on his hands. Along with the same shiny silver claws
His knees pointed backwards like a birds would.
He stood seven feet with a tail the same colored scales and fur.
He slammed his fist into the mirror, shattering it as well as braking a few of the lights around the mirror. His still slightly human hand was cut by the glass. He hissed in pain, falling back onto his scaly bum, and clutched his hand.
He looked at his hand now a bloody mess. Thanks to the lights of the vanity he was able to stare at his hand, not sure what to do, and as he watched his cuts began to heal and the bleeding ceased. Soon only small white scars where visible and even they were fading.
He gasped and thrust his body as far away from his hand as possible. He stayed like that for a few minutes, though to him it felt like hours. He decided to see it would work again. He looked to the food cart Trish had left behind.
He took a knife and, as quickly as he could, cut his right wrist. Right in the middle of the Rose tattoo. The knife bounced harmlessly off like it had just hit steel. He looked at his wrist, at the Rose.
He switched hands and slashed at his other wrist. This time it bled fiercely and hung limply, however after a few moments of pain the wrist mended itself.
Austin was now officially freaking out.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw a familiar gold glow, the Mirror. He growled but picked it up. He saw his face again and he realized something else, the mirror was glowing bright enough that even if the rest of the room was dark he would still be able to see his hideousness. This sent another wave of anger through him. He smashed the mirror down and still it did not break.
This sent a larger more intense anger through him and he threw the mirror as hard as he could across the room and left it there, not caring if it broke or not.
He destroyed the Vanity, making sure to crush every light bulb. The room was now much darker and he found himself enjoying the cool blackness. It calmed him down a bit but when he saw the Mirror all the calm seeped out of him.
He went into a rage and began to destroy anything his hands touched.
The sudden noise caught Jimmy's attention. He call to security guards and they immediately went to Austin's Dressing Room.
After most everything was destroyed the rage left him and all he felt was sorrow, an emotional pain he usually never let in. He crumpled in the corner by the Mirror. He couldn't help but cry.
"Austin?" came Jimmy's voice.
OXOXO
"Don't worry Austin well get this fixed, I've got the best plastic surgeons on speed dial," Jimmy said as he drove his car to the hospital.
"Oh my poor Aussie Wassie!" Kira said as she hugged his torso.
Jimmy had gotten Austin new clothes that fit him snuggly and a hood to cover his face. Kira had yet to see his deformities.
"I get it!" Austin said as he pushed Kira's hands away.
Jimmy pulled into the hospital car garage. It was the middle of the night and very few cars were in the parking lot.
Jimmy led the two teens to a back door like entrance. A man greeted them.
The three road an elevator up to level nine. The man led them into a wing of the hospital, a sign above the door read STC, Special Treatment Center.
"This way," The man said, leading them deeper into the hospital.
Only nurses seemed to be there and it reminded Austin of a horror movie he'd watched. Every time a nurse would look his way he'd look down or in the other direction, not wanted them to see his face.
Finally they came to a room where Austin sat along with Kira while Jimmy talked to the man. Austin only caught a bit of what they were saying and none of it was good, but Kira kept trying to see under his hood. He kept pushing her away.
"Alright, thank you," Jimmy said, he didn't sound happy.
"What's going on Jimmy?" Austin asked standing.
"They'll look at you soon just try to relax," Jimmy waved his hand, "Come on Kira I'll take you down to the snack bar. Austin you want something?"
Austin's stomach growled, he didn't feel hungry but it seemed like the beast was, "just… chips?"
"Alright, Austin, we'll be back soon," Jimmy and Kira disappeared.
Austin sat down and covered his face with his hands, next time he saw Trish, he'd be sure to rip her pudgy ass apart!
"Ring, ring. Hello? Is this Austin Moon's Monster Hotline?" Came a voice from inside his jacket.
He growled, he recognized that voice. He slipped his clawed paw into his jacket and pulled out the golden mirror.
Trish's face smiled back at him, "Hello!" She said cheerfully.
"The Hell do you want?" Austin growled
Trish looked therapy surprised, "when did you start swearing?"
"You turned me into a monster and ruined my life!" Austin roared.
"It isn't ruined yet. Jimmy still thinks he can fix it with plastic surgery," Trish shrugged regaining her smile.
"And that won't fix it?" Austin asked.
"Nope!" Trish cried, "Only way to look normal again, is to break the spell."
"That isn't fair!" Austin cried.
"Austin, I know you've been out of it, but life isn't fair," Trish had a sudden saddened look on her face, "Let me show you want I mean."
Her face disappeared and a scene played of Dez and Ally in the Sonic Boom.
After the sad scene played out, Trish came back into view and said, "That had been a nearly two years ago. Dez and Ally haven't had contact since. Dez lost his sight due to a rare disease when he turned sixteen, by then you were gone.
No longer able to see Dez was forced to give up his dream of Filming. Over that time he grew use to his monkey named Fifi and the fact he couldn't see. His parents still supported him in everything he did and over time he found he enjoyed teaching, which came as much of a surprise as you'd expect. He threw himself into the studies and found he still enjoyed movies, and literature (plays and novels) were good places for him to start his studies.
Ally's mother, shortly after you left, was killed by a freak gorilla attack. Her father fell apart and ended up becoming an alcoholic and abusing Ally. Ally didn't take her mother's death quite as hard and often tried to help her father as much as he could with his struggle in addiction.
Both Ally and Dez never forgot you, Austin."
"So this is what they've been up to since I've been gone," Austin felt as if he'd been punched. Floods of memories came back to him, Dez and him goofing off. Ally telling them not to touch her book, Trish always coming into the Sonic Boom telling them she'd gotten a new job.
He finally remembered his friends, now the Sonic Boom was dark.
"June 5th," Austin whispered looking away from the mirror.
"What?" Trish asked.
"That's, your birthday right?"
"Y-yes."
"I remember now."
The two remained silent until Austin spoke, "Is the Sonic Boom closed?"
Trish looked at him with sad brown eyes, "Yes it closed down a year and a half ago."
Austin felt like sobbing, he remembered all the great times the four of them had had in that music shop. And now it was gone.
"Austin, listen I know this looks bad, but I told you I'd fix it and I'm going to. You just have to give it time," Trish said, she too felt tears prick her eyes.
"TIME!" Austin roared, "TIME! I can't wait long! I have fans! I don't need friends! You haven't fixed anything! You couldn't even hold a job for more than two days! Why should i trust you to fix this? You've messed it all up, and you probably can't fix you're your probably just buying your time so you can just slip away from the responsibility like you always do! This is all your fault! My life was perfect and i didn't care about anyone! Now…" Austin's voice drifted off, he looked down.
Trish wasn't there anymore. The mirror showed his shadowed face, even with the lack of light it was still hideous. Austin growled about to slam the mirror down but then the door knob twisted.
"Austin is everything okay in here?" Jimmy said.
"Yeah, I was just… did you bring the chips?" Austin quickly tried to change the subject
Jimmy threw him a small bag of LAYS original.
Great, Austin thought, for the small bag of air.
"The doctor will be here any minute," Jimmy smiled at Austin, without really looking at him.
Austin's anger spiked,
Austin had lost his friends and family. Though he'd never say it aloud Jimmy had become his father figure. Especially after what happened to his real dad. And now Jimmy couldn't even look at him.
The doctor came in. Let's just say it went all downhill from there.
The doctor asked Austin to take off his outer clothing so that he could examine the problem better.
Austin refused. He didn't want Kira to see him like this.
The doctor tried to get him to take off his clothes forcibly, but ended with a desk and a chair broken, and a few holes in the walls. But the doctor did manage to pull down his hood and this led to Kira into a screaming fit.
Jimmy had to drag his daughter out of the room while she screamed.
Austin pulled his hood back up, shooting a death glare at the doctor who rolled his eyes, not a speck of fear in them.
Though Austin was a bit confused by this he ran out of the room and quickly located Kira.
The nurses and Jimmy were working to calm her down, "A-a monster! That wasn't Austin, Daddy that was a monster!" she was saying through deep breaths and tears.
"Kira!" Austin said. He tried to come over and put his arm around her like they did when they watched scary movies but she just screamed and pulled away.
"AUSTIN!" Jimmy yelled, his tone angry," YOU STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!"
Austin turned and met Jimmy's fiery once, he hadn't been this mad since Kira's pregnancy scare, "Sir I-I—"
"STAY AWAY FROM HER!" Jimmy continued to shout, but his voice was cracking, fear was showing.
Austin growled and stood to his full height of seven feet and bared his fangs. Austin never could remember a time when he was this angry. He was never an angry person to begin with, he was usually oblivious to anyone but himself, but now he was seriously ticked.
Jimmy began to cower as did a few of the nurses.
Suddenly the doctor burst through the crowd, "Austin, please come back to the room so we can find out what the problem is!" The doctor pleaded looking up at Austin.
"Get away from me you quack!" Austin gave a reptilian hiss.
"Austin, I do want to help you, please just let me try!" The doctor had big brown eyes and they were pleading to let him help. At that moment Austin felt like he was looking at Trish, just before he yelled at her.
"F-fine," He muttered angrily.
"Come with me," The doctor led him away and into the room again.

Jimmy had drove Kira home and then had come back to the hospital to pick Austin up.
The doctor wasn't able to help him at all. In fact Austin seriously thought that doctor had made things worse.
"His insides are fine," The doctor said.
"You call this fine!?" Jimmy had shrieked.
"His outer appearance is a bit strange, but other than that, he's completely healthy."
"So there is absolutely nothing you can do?"
"I wouldn't suggest anything."
That's how the conversation went, Jimmy seemed to have completely forgotten about the Kira episode, and after that, Austin wasn't surprised.
When they got into the car Jimmy turned and faced Austin but stared out the window behind him, "That quack doesn't know what he's talking about."
Austin didn't answer.
By this time it was late day, Austin and Jimmy had done an all-night-er at the hospital and both were pretty tired.
Jimmy turned up a semi-familiar road, "Where are we going?" Austin asked.
"To the prison, you asked to see your dad yesterday, I made an appointment for today," Jimmy said calmly.
"Oh," was all Austin was able to say.
The two pulled into the prison parking lot, and got out. The two went into the visiting center and an officer led him to the phones.
Austin sat down and in walked his father. He looked worse than the last time. He looked thin his blond hair long and shaggy. His skin was opaque.
Austin let out a small gasp, he felt himself closing off, and then he realized, that's what he'd done to forget his friends, his real friends. His hand was shaking when he picked up the phone.
"Hey, Austin," Came a paper thin voice.
"Dad?" Austin's voice trembled.
"It's good to see you again son," Mike said, not daring to look up.
Austin felt anger again and he hated feeling angry, but then he realized his father wasn't ashamed of him because of his appearance, it was because he so ashamed of himself he didn't feel he was worthy enough to look at his successful son, "dad?"
"Yes son?"
"I—" Austin could remember a time when he'd ever said I love you to his father but now he was going to try, "I just had a concert yesterday," Damn.
"I know son! I saw, they let me watch it," Mike said glancing up a little, "I've see all your concerts."
"Y-you have!?" Austin was completely taken aback, his father was the one that told him not to pursue his dream of singing, and Austin was beginning to agree.
"Yes! Of course. Austin, you-you're just so talented!" Mike Moon finally looked up but this time it was Austin who felt ashamed to show his face, he looked away. Mike put his hand on the glass between them, "I was wrong Austin, I shouldn't have tried to keep you from your dream. I'm so sorry Austin."
Austin growled he felt tears falling off of his snout. Before he wouldn't have cared, before he probably would have yelled and called his dad a lair, accusing him of so many things about his life that weren't really his father's fault, but now he felt so sad, his dad cared about him, "No dad, don't be sorry."
"What?" Mike tried to get a look at his son's face.
"You were right, I never should have went away, I should have stayed with you and mom, maybe then none of this would have happened," Austin shifted again readjusting his hood so his father couldn't see his face.
"Austin, these were my mistakes, what happened between your mother and I… It was going to happen anyway," Mike said.
"Dad, I've ruined so many people's lives, I can't possibly fix it all."
"Oh, Austin, you haven't ruined anyone's life."
"Yes I have!" Austin stood up suddenly knocking his chair over and his hood fell away.
Mike gasped and fell back.
"D-dad!" Austin covered his face and turned to run feeling more tears leak down his scaly cheeks.
"A-Austin wait!" But he didn't say it into the phone so Austin didn't hear him. Mike Moon former heroin addict clambered back up and watched his son turn tail literally and run away from him.
He was so shocked he fell back again. Had his son always had a tail? Mike groaned, why hadn't he been there? His son was obviously going through something, and he wasn't there to help him through it.
The officers picked him up off the floor and dragged him back to his cell, with him thrashing and pulling yelling at them to let him go, that he needed to see his son.
He was thrown back into his cell and locked in. Mike felt tears run down his sunk in face. His son needed him. By the looks of it this was Austin's hour of need, and Mike was stuck in a cell and couldn't help him. He was Austin Moon's father, even he couldn't help his son in his hour of need.
Mike sat on his cot and sobbed. He hadn't had a chance to tell Austin that he loved him.
Mike looked up and felt a breeze. But the cell had one window and it couldn't open. Mike immediately thought a ghost, but the breeze died as quickly as it had come. Mike heard a rustle of papers he looked over to his desk, and saw a few pieces of paper and a pencil he hadn't noticed were there before.
Mike got up and walked over to the desk. At the corner of the top page was a bit of glitter. Mike sat down and began to write.
