~Tenshi's POV~
I helped Sakura move Sasuke and Naruto to a safer place. I was carrying Sasuke while Sakura carried Naruto. I couldn't get the image of Sasuke screaming in pain out of my head. I wanted so much to get rid of his pain…it hurt me to see him like that. I laid Sasuke down and gathered some water while Sakura laid Naruto down. I placed the cloth in the water then ringed it out. I placed it on Sasuke's forehead after checking his temperature. He's burning up but his breathing is returning to normal. I'll admit, I'm not feeling well myself, but I can't leave Sakura alone to protect us all and I can't let her take care of these two while I rest. Obviously, Sakura and Tamotsu could see my exhaustion.
"Tenshi, you should get some rest," Sakura said looking at me worried. I shook my head.
"I'm fine, also, I can't leave you to protect us while taking care of them all by yourself," I told her. I heard Tamotsu scoff.
"What am I? Chopped liver? I'll help her, you need to rest, you used a lot of chakra and what Orochimaru did you is bound to have made you weak. Now, I'm not saying this because I'm on the same team as you, I'm saying this because we're family, you're like my little sister, Tenshi, so please rest. If not for me, then…for Sasuke," He said to me. My eyes widened, but I nodded and laid down by Sasuke. I then let sleep overtake me.
~Sakura's POV~
"What am I? Chopped liver? I'll help her, you need to rest, you used a lot of chakra and what Orochimaru did you is bound to have made you weak. Now, I'm not saying this because I'm on the same team as you, I'm saying this because we're family, you're like my little sister, Tenshi, so please rest. If not for me, then…for Sasuke," Tamotsu told her. My eyes widened as did Tenshi's. Tenshi then nodded and laid down beside Sasuke and quickly fell asleep. I looked at Tamotsu.
"Tamotsu, why did you say that?" I asked him. He looked at me and sighed.
"Tenshi and Sasuke used to be the best of friends when they were kids, its how they get along so well now. When Sasuke lost his clan, Tenshi was there for him, Sasuke trusts her with his life as she trusts him with hers. They have a bond that can never be broken," Tamotsu told me. I was shocked, they never told us this, but yet, Naruto and I always see how he's always able to at least smile at her. They are so close, but I can see that Sasuke likes as more than just a friend, and Tenshi…does she like him like that too? "Sakura, I know you like Sasuke, but do you really love him for himself, or is it because you like him for his looks?" Tamotsu asked me. I was shocked, I never really thought about that. Now that I do think about it, maybe that's just it, Sasuke can be a nice guy, but mostly to Tenshi. "If you did love Sasuke, would you do anything to see him happy? Or, would you be selfish and keep him to yourself while he's away from the one he truly loves?" He asked me. I looked at Sasuke then Tenshi and sighed.
"He truly loves her, doesn't he?" I asked. Tamotsu sighed and nodded. "Then…I would like to see him happy, he rarely smiles at Naruto and me, but he always smiles at Tenshi. If she makes him happy, then I'll let him go," I said. Tamotsu nodded and licked my cheek.
"You're a clever kid, maybe I can like you and Naruto more," He said to me. I smiled at him and pet his head. I heard rustling and grabbed a kunai and turned to see a squirrel.
"Geez, don't scare me," I said. Then I sensed something and threw the kunai by its feet scarring it causing it run off. I have to stay on my guard. I looked at Tamotsu, he was sitting keeping guard, he really cares for us, and I never knew Tamotsu could be like this.
~Sasuke's POV~
Where am I? I was in the Forest of Death, wasn't I? Why am I at the park? I remember getting bit by Orochimaru and then Tenshi crying. Where is she?
"Hey!" A young girl shouted. I turned and saw a six year old me who turned to see a six year old girl with silver hair. Tenshi…Tamotsu was with her. Tenshi was wearing a white sleeveless dress that reached her knees and white flats. Her silver hair reached her shoulders and was in pigtails. "Hi, I'm Ookami no Tenshi Hatake and this is Tamotsu, can we play with you?" She asked the younger me. He nodded smiling.
"I'm Sasuke Uchiha," he told her. This is when I first met Tenshi! I was waiting for Itachi at the park and Tenshi wanted to play with me. Tamotsu let us ride on his back most of the time and jumped in the air making the both of us laugh. She was my first friend and my first and only crush. Later on Itachi showed up and the younger me ran to him.
"Hey, Sasuke. Who are you friends?" Itachi asked him.
"This is Ookami no Tenshi Hatake and her Ninken, Tamotsu," he said to him. The younger me then looked at Tenshi. "This is my big brother, Itachi," he told her. Tenshi smiled and bowed.
"It's nice to meet you," She said to her. Itachi nodded with a smile.
"You as well, Tenshi. How about we walk you home?" Itachi asked her. Tenshi nodded and younger Sasuke grabbed her hand while he held Itachi's with the other. We walked her home and Tenshi looked at him.
"Sasuke, promise me we'll be best friends forever," Tenshi said holding out her pinky. Younger Sasuke hooked pinkies with her and smiled.
"Promise!"
"I promise and will not lie, I will keep this promise till the day I lie, if I ever break this promise so, then you will forever have my soul," we promised. We then hugged and I saw Itachi smiling at us. A second later I was in the compound, it looked like it was rebuilt; it looked nice.
"Yuki! Toboe! Get back here!" A boy shouted. I looked at the two kids, the boy was at least thirteen and wore a Leaf forehead protector. He had silver hair and onyx black eyes. He looked like me except for the hair color.
"You have to catch us first, Itachi!" The little girl, Yuki, shouted. She was about six years old. Her hair was black and reached her shoulders and her eyes were like Tenshi's, the purple/blue. There were also two wolves with them. A white wolf was the size of Tamotsu and a black wolf, whom I assume is Toboe, was a little smaller.
"Mamoru, you get Toboe, I'll get Yuki," Itachi told the white wolf. Mamoru nodded and they did hand signs and appeared right in front of the young ones, catching him.
"Itachi! Yuki! Time for dinner!" A woman called out. I looked and saw a woman about twenty-nine, almost thirty with silver hair that reached her shoulder blades, and she had purple/blue eyes that were mesmerizing. Tenshi was older, but still beautiful. Then a black wolf appeared by her side.
"Mamoru! Toboe! Get in here so you can eat too," the black wolf called out.
"Coming mom!" The kids yelled. Mom? I could see in their eyes that they loved and admired her, I'm not surprised by that.
"Yes, mother!" The wolves replied. They young ones went inside the house while Yuki stopped and looked at Tenshi.
"Mommy, when will daddy be home?" Yuki asked her.
"Right now," A man said. I turned and saw an older me wearing Anbu gear.
"Daddy!" Yuki shouted smiling. She ran to the older Sasuke and hugged him.
"There's my snow angel, I missed you guys. Have you been good for your mother?" The older Sasuke asked.
"Yes, Daddy. Itachi! Daddy's home!" Yuki called out. Itachi came out of the house and smiled. Tenshi put and arm around his shoulders.
"Hey, dad," Itachi greeted. The older Sasuke ruffled his hair and kissed Tenshi.
"Welcome home, Love," Tenshi smiled lovingly. The older me smiled back.
"Happy to be back, Angel," He said to her. He looked at Itachi again and placed his hand back on his head while holding Yuki. "I see you got your forehead protector. Good job, Itachi, your mom and I are proud of you," he said to Itachi making him smiled more and nodded.
"This is sweet and all but where are Kaori and the pups?" Tamotsu asked. He was bigger, about the same height at Tenshi now, who stood about five' eight".
"Right here, Tamo," The black wolf, Kaori said. They nuzzled their heads together and Kaori licked his cheek. Mamoru and Toboe came out and talked to Tamotsu. Is this my future? If so…I can't wait. After all of that, I saw the massacre of my clan and the younger me with tears.
~Tenshi's POV~
I woke up and saw Sakura, Tamotsu, and Lee fighting the Sound Trio. I stood up and took out a kunai throwing it at the guy with spikey hair.
"You mess with my team, you get hurt, but you mess with my friends, you get killed," I growled. Sakura and Lee looked at me with shocked eyes.
"Tenshi!" They shouted in relief. I saw Lee holding his left ear. I kneeled beside him with a hand on his shoulder.
"Lee, you did great, just rest," I said to him. He then jumped in front of me calling out 'Leaf Spinning Wind'. He just blocked a hit from me. His ear was getting worse though. "Lee just rest, Sakura and I will handle this," I said to him. Sakura nodded and we threw kunai at the Sound Nin with the fur on his back. We kept attacking with Kunai and Shuriken. I did hand signs.
"Moon Style: Lunar Sabre!" I shouted. I beam of light shot out and made a sword for me to use and we kept attacking. Then the female Sound Nin grabbed Sakura by the hair while the Sound Nin with spikey hair grabbed me, from behind. He kicked my shoulder dislocating it causing me to scream in pain.
"Tenshi!" Sakura and Tamotsu shouted. I looked at Tamotsu to see him lying on his side with a foot on his nuzzle by the third Sound Nin. My shoulder was burning. My hair band was weak and snapped making my hair fall out of it's ponytail.
"Your quite cute, I might have to have some fun with you before I kill you," the Sound Nin behind me said. I growled.
"Rot in hell," I snarled.
"Nice hair, much more luster than mine. Pft, trying to be a sexy ninja like your friend. If you have to treat your hair, then train your female swine. Zaku, kill that Sasuke guy in front of this boy chasers eyes. Let's teach this one a lesson," the female Sound Nin smirked. No…I won't let them hurt him.
"Ah, good idea," Zaku said.
"You leave him the hell alone! You touch him then I'll rip you limb from limb," I threatened. I could feel the Ten Tails power, she's making me more violent than comfortable. Zaku laughed at that. Sakura brought out a kunai.
"Useless, that won't work against me," the female Sound Nin said.
"What are you talking about?" Sakura smirked. What is she going to do? She then brought the Kunai back and cut her hair making her headband fall off. She did a shadow clone while Zaku ran after her and I collapsed. Zaku thought she made another clone when she jumped in the air to attack, but it was real and she bit his arm. I went to help her until the Sound Nin with bandages around his face used a kunai to stab me in the side making me grunt in pain. Sakura was then thrown away and me next to her. That's when Ino, Choji, and Shikamaru showed up. Shikamaru ran to us.
"Are you alright?" He asked me. I nodded but felt a lot of pain in my shoulder making me wince. "Your shoulder is dislocated and you have a stab wound," he told me. I nodded and winced again. Choji was called fat and he got mad. They started fighting together creating the Ino-Shika-Cho formation. Later on, Tenten and Neji showed up. I looked at them.
"Decided to join the party, huh? Cutting a little close don't you think?" I asked jokingly. They smirked.
"Sorry about that, but these guys made a bad mistake hurting our teammate," Tenten said. I gave a small nod making sure not to hurt my shoulder. The Sound Nin with bandages covering his face went to attack me until someone blocked him. He looked at me and I saw his whole left side covered in tattoo like marks.
"Tenshi, who did that to you?" He asked me.
"Sasuke?" I asked.
"Who is it?" He asked me again.
"We did it," Zaku smirked. I looked at Sasuke with worry.
"Sasuke, your body…" I trailed off.
"Don't worry, not only that I feel power overflowing from within me, I feel…great," he said to me. "He gave it to me. I finally understand it, I'm an avenger. Even if I must eat the devil's fruit I am on the path where I must gain power," Sasuke told me. No, this can't be happening. He looked at the Sound Nin. "Now, it was you guys, right?" He asked. Ino got out of the female Sound Nin's body and back to her own. Sasuke's marks then covered his face, and his chakra started forming around him.
"His chakra is too large," the bandaged Sound Nin said.
"Dosu! No need to be afraid of this half deed freak!" he did hand signs and Dosu tried to stop him. Sasuke then threw Zaku away as Naruto came up by my and Sakura. Sasuke then grabbed Zaku by this arms with a foot on his back.
"Hehe, so you're proud of these two arms?" Sasuke asked, then then pushed his foot down breaking his arms. Sasuke was about to go after Dosu until I ran up to him. I ignored the pain in my shoulder and hugged him from behind with tears in my eyes. Honestly, this Sasuke scared me.
"Stop!" I shouted. I felt the tears running down my cheeks. "Sasuke, please, just stop," I sobbed. I nuzzled my head into his back. "This isn't the Sasuke I know, he's not a killer, please, just stop," I sobbed again. His arms disappeared and he fell back making me catch him. "Sasuke, are you okay?" I asked with tears still in my eyes. He looked at me and his eyes softened. He wiped my tears away.
"Yeah, I'm better now, thank you," he said with a small smile. Dosu then came up to us and Sasuke pulled me behind him while minding my shoulder.
"Sasuke, we can't defeat you this time," Dosu said, then out his scroll down. "Here's a gift to you, please let us leave," he said to him Sasuke nodded and Dosu and the female Sound Nin helped Zaku leave. When they left, I looked at Sasuke. He was shaking.
"What happened to me?" He asked. He looked at me with sad eyes. "I scared you. I'm so sorry, Tenshi," he said to him. I hugged him ignoring my shoulder.
"I'm okay, just calm down," I said to him. I felt him stop shaking and he relaxed. I let go of him then looked at my shoulder. "Can someone please help me with my shoulder?" I asked. Shikamaru came up to me.
"I'll put your shoulder back in place, Sasuke, I need you to hold her still, this is going to hurt," he said. Sasuke nodded and wrapped an arm around my waist and placed a gentle hand on my head as my head was on his chest leaving my left arm exposed. I felt Shikamaru place his hands on my shoulder and arm. "Are you ready, Tenshi?" Shikamaru asked me. I nodded bracing myself for the pain. He then did what he had to do. My shoulder made a sickening cracking noise and it burned with pain making me scream. Sasuke held me tighter as I felt tears in my eyes. Sakura and Naruto were at my side helping Sasuke calm me down. Sasuke ran his fingers through my hair trying to soothe me.
"It's over, Tenshi, calm down, you'll make yourself sick," he told me. I calmed myself down by taking deep breathes. I looked at gave Sakura a smile.
"You did great out there, Sakura," I told her. She smiled back and nodded her thanks. She and Naruto started talking and Ino offered to cut Sakura's hair making it look cuter. I felt a pain in side remembering I got stabbed. Sasuke saw this and moved my hand to see the wound. He ran over to where our bags were and grabbed my bag and came back over to fix the wound. When he was done he looked at me.
"Are you okay?" He asked me with worried eyes. I nodded with a smile and kissed his cheek.
"Thanks, Sasuke," I said to him. He blushed and nodded. Tamotsu made his way over to us.
"Tenshi, are you okay?" He asked me worriedly. I threw my good arm around him and hugged him.
"I'm so glad your all safe," I said to him.
"Hey, I should be saying that to you, I would heal you, but I can't move my body that well without it hurting," Tamotsu said to me. I pulled back and nodded. Sasuke helped me stand up and we walked to a place where we could rest. This has been a long test, I know it's bound to get worse, but I can help but have this bad feeling in my gut telling me something horrible is going to happen.
