~Sasuke's POV~
Tenshi and I have been going out for about a week now. When I was released from the hospital, Kakashi-Sensei wanted to start training me Chidori. When I do that, Tenshi is off training herself. But when I see her afterwards, she's all worn out, and honestly, it worries me. She keeps pushing herself to the limit and I can see Kakashi-Sensei getting worried. He and I decided to take today off to watch over Tenshi. We made it to the training grounds she's been at and see her panting with Tamotsu. He walked up to her.
"Are you okay, Tenshi? Do you want to keep going?" He asked her. She looked at him and nodded wiping the sweat off her brow.
"We need to be able to perfect it since we're up against Karitoriki," she said to him. I remember what she said about him, it wasn't anything good, I hope she'll make it through without getting hurt. They nodded at each other and did hand signs.
"Ookami no Style: Wolf Transformation!" They shouted in sync. There was a bright light causing Kakashi-Sensei and I to cover our eyes. When the light disappeared we turned and saw Tenshi and Tamotsu sitting panting again and sweating more. Tenshi stood up shakily.
"Let's try it again," she said. Tamotsu shook his head.
"No more, I can't take much more right now, and I can see you can't either," Tamotsu said to her. She shook her head this time.
"We have to perfect it," she told him. Tamotsu growled in frustration.
"Enough! Do you want to be sick again?! We still have three more weeks to perfect the Jutsu! Don't you remember when you got sick from trying to perfect the Lone Wolf Warrior Jutsu?! You almost died and nearly fell into a coma! Do you want that to happen again?!" Tamotsu yelled at her. I was shock as was Kakashi-Sensei, Tamotsu's never yelled at her before. But I can see it from his side, he's over worried about her just as we are.
"If we're going to be Karitoriki then we need to be ready! But I'm not just trying to perfect this Jutsu for that reason! I know something horrible is going to happen and I want to be ready to protect everyone!" She yelled back.
"For once, don't think about everyone else! Think about yourself! I've already lost your family and my brother, I'm not ready to lose my sister! And think about Sasuke! How would he be able to handle this if you got sick and died?!" Tamotsu asked yelling. She froze and looked down.
"I'm doing this for him," she murmured. I was shocked, she's doing this for me? Why? She soon had tears in her eyes. "Ever since Orochimaru showed up, I knew something horrible was going to happen, and I know it involves Sasuke. Please, Tamotsu, I just can't lose him…I love him," she cried. I looked down, she wants to protect me, but I want to protect her as well. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked at Kakashi-Sensei.
"The fact that she's putting herself through all of this proves how much she loves you…do you love her the same way? Willing to do anything for her? Even if it means risking your life?" He asked me. My eyes widened surprised by his questions. I looked at her and knew my answer immediately. I nodded.
"I'm will to take my own life just to keep her safe. I love her just as she loves me," I told him. He nodded and I could see a smile under the mask.
"Then I'm glad Tenshi chose you, just don't disappoint me," he said to me. I nodded.
"Tenshi, I know you love him, but don't you think he would want you to take care of yourself. I mean, look at you, you haven't slept in two days, and you haven't eaten in three. At this rate you'll be skin and bone, and you won't be able to fight anymore," Tamotsu told her softly. Tenshi sat down against a tree and sighed.
"I know, you're right, it's just…I keep remembering this dream I had back in the Forest of Death," she said, I immediately shuddered at the name. I remembered how scared she was, when she got mad at me, and when we got hurt. It hurt me to see her like that.
"What dream?" Tamotsu asked.
"I had a dream that Sasuke was leaving, he left saying that he wasn't only getting revenge on his brother but avenge what I've lost. Then I was in another place, I was a little older, about fifteen, maybe sixteen. He was there too, so were Naruto, Sakura and two other's I didn't know. Sasuke looked so different, it was like he wasn't Sasuke anymore, he was colder and it scared me. I don't want that to happen," Tenshi cried. Tamotsu nuzzled softly against her head.
"Tenshi, Sasuke loves you, he wouldn't leave you. After all, he promised you he wouldn't. Just please, take a couple days off, take care of yourself and we'll work on the Jutsu again," Tamotsu told her. She nodded and stood up still a little shaky. Tamotsu went under her legs to make her ride on his back. "You just rest, I'll get us home," he said to her. She nodded again and fell asleep. With that he walked off home and Sensei and I jumped out of the tree.
"Let Tenshi rest for a while before you see her, knowing her, she doesn't want you to see her like that," Sensei told me. I nodded and we started working on the Chidori. Like Tenshi, I wasn't making any progress. Her Jutsu is more complicated than this one, why can't I do it? Sensei placed a hand on my shoulder. "Sasuke, you're not going to get this Jutsu right in only a week, it took me a while to get right myself. You're also new to the Lightning Style considering all you ever used was basic Jutsus and Fire Style," he told me. I nodded and looked down. He pat my shoulder. "You go on home and rest, we'll continue tomorrow," he said to me. I nodded and walked home. On my way home, I kept thinking about Tenshi, I was really worried about her. After hearing Tamotsu talk about her being sick last time, it scared me when he said she almost died and nearly fell into a coma. I got to the compound to see Tamotsu standing there. He looked at me and sighed.
"I know you heard everything Tenshi said, Sasuke. You and Kakashi were hiding in one of the trees," he said to me. My eyes widened and he noticed my panic. "Tenshi didn't notice, she was too busy worrying," he said to me. I nodded.
"Did she really have those dreams about me?" I asked. He nodded at me.
"She did, and I know there was more to it, but she wouldn't say. Why do you ask?" He asked me. I looked at him and sighed.
"Follow me, I'll tell you at my place," I said to him. He nodded and followed me. I walked into my house and took my shoes off and walked into the living room. I sat on the couch and Tamotsu sat across from me. "When I was unconscious, I had a dream. It started when you, Tenshi and I first met up until we Tenshi and I made our promise. Then…" I trailed off. Tamotsu's ears perked.
"'Then…'?" He asked wanting me to continue. I sighed.
"I was here in the compound. I saw two kids, a boy and a girl named Itachi and Yuki. There were also two wolves, a white wolf named Mamoru and a black one name Toboe. That's when Tenshi appeared and she was older, about her late twenties. There was also a female black wolf named Kaori. Yuki called Tenshi 'mommy'. Soon a man appeared and…it was me and I was an Anbu. She called me 'daddy'. They were my kids. You were there too, turns out Kaori was your wife and Mamoru and Toboe were your pups," I smiled at him. He was shocked.
"I had a mate and pups?!" He exclaimed excitedly. I nodded and he howled happily then looked at me. "About your kids, what did they look like?" He asked me.
"Itachi was about thirteen, apparently was just made a Genin. He looked like me but with Tenshi's hair color. Yuki, she was at least six, she looked so much like Tenshi except with black hair. When I saw an older Tenshi, she was extremely beautiful, her hair reached her shoulder blade and was down, she still looked like an angel. When I saw my older self, he looked happy, especially when Yuki ran to him," I told him. I couldn't help but think about it while I was telling him. Tamotsu was quiet and honestly, it was starting to scare me, but I didn't show it. "What is it, Tamotsu?" I asked. He sighed and started pacing. After a minute, he stopped and looked at me.
"These dreams…did they feel…real?" He asked me. I looked at him confused and started to think about it. Now that I do think about it…they did!
"Yeah, they did, I could feel the wind, when I kissed Tenshi; I could smell her scent. I could even hear everything around me," I told him. He started pacing again.
"This doesn't make any sense, how would you be able to see those if you aren't even a part of our clan. Don't even have a drop of our blood in you," he said to me, though it appeared he was talking to himself.
"What are you talking about?" I asked him. He stopped and looked at me.
"These 'dreams' are not dreams, Sasuke. They're premonitions," he told me. My eyes widened. What does that mean?! "It's a common thing among mates, it shows we have that special connection, when you both realized your feels for one another, you had the premonitions. The weird part is, how were you able to get them? You have no drop of Ookami no blood in you. Of course, we never really tested that out, everyone's mates was inside the clan," he said to me. This was a lot to take in.
"Tenshi's my…mate?" I asked him. He nodded.
"Yes, but yet no," he told me. I gave him a confused look and he sighed. "You aren't fully mated, at least not until you…um…hehe," he nervously chuckled. I was confused for a second then my eyes widened in realization and I blushed.
"You mean, Tenshi and I would have to...?" I couldn't finished the sentence but he nodded. "When would that have to happen?" I asked him.
"On a full moon, after that, you would be connected completely," he told me. I nodded and he growled. "Don't you dare think about doing anything to her just yet, Uchiha," he glared at me. I put my hands up in defense.
"I wasn't, I was just thinking that this was a lot to take in," I told him calmly. He nodded and then his ears perked.
"I know how to see if this is all true!" He exclaimed happily.
"How?" I asked him.
"Kakashi, he and Lady Yuki were together once, I could go and find out," he told me.
"You don't have to," a man said. I turned and looked at the doorway. Kakashi-Sensei was standing there.
"How long have you been standing there?" I asked him.
"Since Tamotsu mentioned premonitions," he told me. Tamotsu then looked him in the eye.
"Did you go through the same thing with Lady Yuki?" He asked. Kakashi-Sensei nodded.
"We did, she even told me that it was a sign of me being her mate. I had dreams of her being my wife and a little girl in my older self's arms. It was Tenshi, it was of us being a family. But as you can see, we didn't get to that," Kakashi-Sensei told us. Tamotsu nodded.
"It all depends on the decisions you make. You only have these dreams until you complete the mating ritual. But the decisions you make can change the outcome. All you know is that you're connected," Tamotsu informed him. Kakashi-Sensei nodded.
"Yeah, I remember the pain she felt months after she left…the worst pain she had was about nine months later, seven months after she left…was that when she…?" He couldn't finished his sentence, but Tamotsu nodded.
"Yeah…about a year later…did you feel pain in your chest? Like your heart was breaking?" Tamotsu asked him. Kakashi-Sensei nodded. "That was when Toboe came into her life, they became mates. Worst part is, even though your mate is mated with someone else, you are still connected," he told us. This is definitely a lot to take in.
"I remember the pain I felt when Yuki died…it felt like half of me died as well," Kakashi-Sensei said. Tamotsu nodded and looked at me.
"Did you have that feeling when Tenshi died in the wave country?" He asked me. I nodded. I remember feeling like half of me was dying, but when she came back, I was whole again. Kakashi-Sensei and Tamotsu left later that night and I went to bed think about Tenshi. Did she have the same dream I did? I hope so….A few days later I went to go train, I was getting better at least. I saw Tenshi there when I arrived. She was leaning against the tree without Tamotsu. I walked up to her, she looked a lot better now. She turned her head to see me and smiled. I smiled back and she hugged me. I hugged her back and kissed her head.
"How are you? Kakashi-Sensei told me you weren't feeling well," I told her. She laid her head on my chest.
"I feel a lot better. Dad told me he was teaching you the Chidori," she said to me. I nodded.
"Yeah, I'm slowly getting better at it. How about you? Anything new?" I asked her. We parted and started walking hand in hand.
"Yeah, Tamotsu and I are working on a Jutsu, but it's a surprise. Like you, we're slowly getting better at it. I just hope it's strong enough to take down Karitoriki," she told me. I could see she was nervous so I let go of her hand and placed my arm around her shoulder. I kissed her temple and gave her a small smile.
"You'll do great, I know you'll win. You're the strongest ninja I know," I encouraged her. She smiled and kissed me. I kissed her back and her arms wrapped themselves around my neck as mine wrapped around her waist.
"What would I do without you?" She asked me. I smirked.
"You'd be miserable," I joked. She giggled.
"Most likely…maybe not," she joked back. I smirked again and picked her up throwing her over my shoulder. "Sasuke! Put me down!" She laughed. I started laughing with her.
"Nope! Not going to happen! Not until you admit you would be miserable without me!" I laughed. She was gently hitting my back and laughing.
"Never!" She refused. I started running making her shriek and laugh more.
"Admit it!" I called to her.
"No! Never! No way, Jose!" She shouted at me. I started spinning and she shrieked and laughed again.
"Say it!" I said to her.
"Okay! Okay! I'll say it! I would be miserable without you!" She shouted.
"And?" I asked raising an eyebrow while smirking. She giggled.
"I love you," she said to me. She then slapped my behind. "Now put me down!" She shouted. I put her down and we both collapsed on ground laughing. I pulled her close after we calmed down and kissed her forehead and nose making her scrunch her nose like a rabbit.
"I love you too," I said to her. I then kissed her and rolled her onto her back, her arms were around my neck as mine rest on her waist. I didn't want to stop kissing her, her kisses were addicting. Her hands went to my hair and she light tugged it after she weaved her fingers through. I groaned at the feeling. I licked her bottom lip asking for entrance and she opened her mouth more. My tongue explored her hot cavern as her tongue did mine. We then fought for dominance and I won, she tasted so sweet, I didn't want it to end, but we had to pull away for air. We were both panting from the kiss, but didn't mind it. I rested my forehead against hers. "You have no idea what you do to me," I said to her. She just smiled and rested a hand on my cheek. Her thumb rubbed against it as I used my hand to hold it there. I kissed her wrist and looked into her beautiful purple/blue eyes.
"Isn't this a sweet moment?" A male voice asked. We stood up and saw a man dressed in black and red. He had fiery red hair and it was spiked. He also had golden eyes, he looked like Natsumi. "It was so sweet it was making me ill," he sneered. I pushed Tenshi behind me to keep her safe. The guy chuckled.
"What are you doing here, Karitoriki?" Tenshi asked him while glaring. He chuckled again and smirked.
"Just came to let you know that by the end of the exam, you'll be dead. I know that you know of me, why I was named Reaper Phoenix, you'll find out why," he said to her. I glared at him as I kept Tenshi behind me. He looked at me and chuckled. "Your little boyfriend won't be able to protect you next time, mutt," he spat. I shoved him backwards.
"Get out of here, if you came here to start a fight then you'll get one, but it won't be from be from Tenshi," I threatened. He smirked.
"And what will you do, Uchiha? Use your little Sharingan on me?" He taunted. I grabbed him by his shirt and lifted him up.
"I plan to do a lot more than that," I growled. Tenshi came up to me and placed her hands on my arms.
"Sasuke, he's not worth it," she said to me. I looked at her and nodded. I tossed him on the ground and he got up glaring. He went to charge at me but I saw Tenshi do some hand signs. "Moon Style: Strength of the Beast!" She called out. Her fist glowed and she punched him before he could touch me. He went flying into the tree making it break down. Tenshi now stood in front of me glaring at him. "If you know what's good for you, you'll wait until our match," she said calmly to him. He stood up and glared at her.
"Just watch your back, mutt," he said to her. He then left and I grabbed Tenshi's hand. She looked at me with worried eyes.
"Are you okay?" She asked me. I smiled and nodded.
"I should be asking you that," I said to her. She smiled at me and kissed my cheek.
"I'm fine, come on, we have training we need to do," she said to me. I nodded and we went our separate ways. She trained with Tamotsu while I trained with Kakashi-Sensei. Tenshi and I will both win our matches, that's a promise.
