~Kenmei's (Wise) POV~
I was walking around Konoha until I was by a waterfall. I saw girls over near the river area, swimming. I then looked at the trees and bushes and sensed a familiar presence. I puffed over and saw an old friend of mine who hadn't changed. He still had his long white hair and his way of 'researching'. I snuck up behind him and bent down to his ear.
"If you wanted some fun, all you had to do was ask," I whispered seductively in his ear. He blushed and turned his head. That's when he saw me and his eyes widened with shock.
"Kenmei?!" He shouted waking making a blond haired kid look at us. I looked at the kid and saw a resemblance to the man I thought of as a son…Minato. This was his son, Naruto Uzumaki. I looked back at Jiraiya and smiled.
"It's good to see you again, old friend," I said to him. He smiled back at me and brought me into his warm embrace. I truly missed this man. We had been friends since we were Genin all those years ago. Naruto came up to us and gave me a questioning look.
"Pervy-Sage, who is this?" Naruto asked. I stifled a giggle at the nickname Naruto gave him as I could see Jiraiya getting annoyed by it.
"I told you not to call me that! And this is my long time best friend, Kenmei Kariudo (Hunter). We were on the same team when we were made Genin, Mei, this Naruto Uzumaki," Jiraiya introduced us. I nodded and smiled.
"I know, the last time I saw you was when you were a baby," I said to Naruto. He looked at me with a confused look.
"I don't remember you, though," he said to me. I sighed and nodded sadly.
"I had to do some traveling after…what happened years ago. I also had a family I needed to see," I told him. I walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder as I frowned. "Naruto, I hope you can forgive me for not being able to take care of you, I know you must have had a hard life," I said to him. He gave me a soft smile.
"Yeah, I did have a hard life, but it got better, especially when I started being able to make friends. I wasn't mad at you, though. Why did you have to leave?" He asked me. Looking at him, I saw Minato, I felt tears prick my eyes but I blinked a few times to get the tears away.
"I…was really close with your parents, when they passed…it broke my heart," I told him. Naruto then hugged me and I hugged him back. I looked at Jiraiya and he had a smile on his face. After a little bit, Naruto pulled back and grinned.
"So, what are you to me?" He asked.
"I'm your Godmother. Believe it or not, your father was like a son to me, your father knew that and wanted to make me your Godmother," I said to him. We both smiled at that.
"So, I guess this makes you my Aunt Kenmei?" He asked. I nodded.
"Yeah, it does. So, what were you two doing before I got here?" I asked, then I looked at Jiraiya. "Aside from your 'research'," I said to him. He scratched the back of his head and smiled nervously.
"Pervy-Sage was teaching me how to summon a frog," Naruto told me. I saw what he tried to summon and shook my head. I looked at Jiraiya and glared.
"You're supposed to be helping him, not working on your porn book!" I lectured. He cowered back. "You better help him, or I'll come back and burn all your porn books!" I threatened. He nodded vigorously. I then looked at Naruto. "Now you have help," I said to him with a smile. He grinned at me.
"Thanks Auntie Kenmei," he said to me. I nodded.
"Now, I just have to find my niece," I murmured. I looked at Jiraiya again. "Have you seen Tenshi around?" I asked. He shook his head and Naruto gasped.
"Your Tenshi's aunt?!" He exclaimed pointing at me. I giggled and nodded.
"Yes, I am, her mother and I were like sisters. Tenshi is also my Goddaughter, it practically makes you family," I said to him. He grinned at the thought. "How do you know Tenshi?" I asked.
"She's one of my teammates, she's like a little sister to me," Naruto bragged. I sighed happily. Yuki and Minato were close, just like Naruto and Tenshi. It's good to see that. I nodded.
"Do you know where I can find her?" I asked.
"I heard she was training, so she's probably at one of the training grounds. If you see Kakashi-Sensei or Sasuke Uchiha, you'll find her," Naruto told me. I raised an eyebrow.
"Sasuke Uchiha?" I asked. Naruto chuckled.
"Yup! Her boyfriend!" Naruto said. His grin vanished and he shivered. "She couldn't have chosen someone other than that bastard?" He asked himself. Jiraiya and I laughed a little bit. I hugged Naruto and then walked up to Jiraiya and hugged him again.
"I'll see you both soon," I said to them. They nodded, but Jiraiya stopped me by grabbed my wrist.
"Maybe later today we could get together and catch up? I haven't seen you in years," he said to me. I smiled and nodded, I placed a hand on one cheek while I kissed the other.
"I'd love that, Raiya, six o'clock, don't be late," I said to him. He smiled at me and nodded. With that, I left to go find Tenshi. After a little while of looking, I finally found her. She was holding hands with an Uchiha boy, I'm guessing his name is Sasuke. They look cute together. I saw the way he was looking at her, you could see all the love in his eyes when he looked at her. The same with Tenshi when she looked at him. I jumped down behind them. "If it isn't my favorite wolf," I said. Sasuke pushed Tenshi behind him and got defensive. I placed my hands up to show I was harmless. "Hey now, I'm just here to see my niece," I said to him. Tenshi looked at me and smiled. She went around Sasuke and hugged me making me laughed.
"Auntie Kenmei! I've missed you so much!" She said to me. I laughed again.
"Another Jounin Aunt?" Sasuke asked. We pulled back and Tenshi shook her head.
"No, this is Kenmei Kariudo, she's one of the legendary Sannin, and she's my Godmother," Tenshi told him. His eyes widened.
"You never told me you had a Godmother," Sasuke said to her.
"You never asked, that and I hadn't seen her since I was five, she's also Naruto's Godmother," Tenshi told him. His eyes widened once again and he looked at me.
"Your Godson is that loser?" He asked me. I glared at him and hit him over the head.
"Watch what you say about my God-kids!" I lectured. He rubbed his head and looked at Tenshi. She shook her head.
"You brought that upon yourself, Love," she said to him. She walked up to Sasuke and looked at me. "But, Auntie Kenmei, you don't have to abuse my boyfriend," she said to me as she held Sasuke's hand. I sighed and looked at him.
"Fine, as long as he treats you right and doesn't make fun of Naruto around me, then I won't. I'm protective of my family, Uchiha, so if you hurt my niece or nephew, you have me to deal with," I threatened. He gulped and nodded.
"Yes, Miss Kariudo," he said to me. Well, at least he has manners. I nodded and smiled at Tenshi.
"I was told you were trying to perfect a family Jutsu, which one?" I asked her.
"Wolf Transformation," she told me. My eyes widened.
"That's a serious Jutsu, that's an Anbu level. The Fushichou's Clan Transformation is more of a Chuunin level. How far have you gotten?" I asked her.
"I'm able to stay transformed for a little bit, but it wears off about a minute later, Tamotsu and I are usually really exhausted afterwards," she told me. I nodded and smiled.
"I know how you can make it better. You'll be training with me until your match, so that means less Sasuke," I told her. She frowned and Sasuke wrapped and arm around her and kissed her head.
"It'll be fine, we'll see each other at the match, I promise, it's only about a week and a half away," he told her. She looked at him and smiled. She nodded at him then kissed him. She looked at me with determination.
"When should we start?" She asked me. I smiled at her.
"Now," I replied. With that we started training. Tamotsu showed up and they did the Jutsu and I automatically knew what was wrong. But I wanted to see if she was going to get it on her own. So for the next week, I was patient with her, but she wasn't getting it. "Tenshi, what are you feeling when you do the Jutsu? What emotion?" I asked her.
"Determination," she said to me. I nodded.
"What's your reason for doing this Jutsu?" I asked her. She sighed.
"To beat Karitoriki and…to keep Sasuke safe," she said to me. I smiled and nodded.
"Then let Sasuke by your anchor in this Jutsu. His love is what makes you strong, use that to your advantage," I told her. She smiled and nodded. She and Tamotsu shared a look then nodded. They did the hand signs.
"Ookami no Style: Wolf Transformation!" They shouted. With that, they transformed, she was ready. They returned to normal on their own and smiled. She hugged me and we laughed.
"We did it! We did it! Thank you Auntie Kenmei!" She exclaimed happily to me. I laughed and held her close. Honestly, I thought she was growing up too fast. I remember when she was younger, she would always stay with me when I visited. This girl is going to kick some ass in her match, I know she's going to grow to become a beautiful young woman. Yuki, I hope she's made just as proud as I am. We pulled apart and she smiled at me. She then clutched her chest in pain and gasped.
"Tenshi!" Tamotsu and I shouted in worry. She collapsed on the ground and I caught her before she hit it. I started shaking her trying to wake her up.
"Tenshi, come on, open your eyes!" I panicked. I looked at Tamotsu. "Go get Kakashi and Sasuke!" I ordered. He nodded and ran. Oh, Tenshi, what is going on?
~Tenshi's POV~
After I collapsed, I woke up in a strange room. I looked forward and saw a huge caged door. There was a seal on it, I felt a strong presence and kept my guard up. I heard growling.
"So, this is my host, I'm impressed," a female voice said. I knew that voice. I looked in the cage and saw silver eyes…Jinroo?!
"Jinroo, is that you?" I asked. She nodded.
"Yes, it is I, the Ten Tailed Wolf, the leader of all Tailed Beasts," she told me. I looked at her closely. She was beautiful with her shimmering silver fur. I got to see her face clearly and brought my hand up to her. She moved closer to it and I started petting her snout. She seem harmless, how could anyone hate her. "I know you're wondering how others could hate me so. When I attack, it's not really me, who is attacking, but the animal inside me. This is truly how I really am, the Ten Tails is meant to be nurturing, not a killer," she said to me. I hugged her snout and sighed.
"Why did you bring me here?" I asked her.
"To make sure you're wary of Orochimaru, I don't want you to do anything reckless that could hurt you or your loves ones," she told me. I nodded.
"I am, thank you," I said to her. She nodded at me.
"I shall return you to your conscious, good luck, young on," she said to me. I then woke up to see dad, Sasuke, Tamotsu, and Auntie Kenmei looking at me with worried eyes.
"Tenshi, are you alright?" Dad asked me. I nodded and told them about Jinroo.
"Jinroo summoned me to her, to warn me about Orochimaru," I told them. I sat up and rest my head on Sasuke's chest, who soothed me by running his fingers through my hair.
"So, it's true," Auntie Kenmei said.
"What do you mean?" Sasuke asked her.
"Jinroo isn't like the other Tailed Beast. The Ten Tailed Beast is meant to be a nurturer, not a killer. At least that's what she told me," I told them. Auntie Kenmei nodded.
"Jinroo is supposedly the mother of all Tailed Beasts, but none of them were meant to be killers, they were simply meant to be guardians or their element," Auntie Kenmei told them. Sasuke walked me home and kissed me. He brought me into a warm embrace.
"You really had me worried today," he told me. I snuggled into his chest.
"Sorry, Love. I didn't know that would happen," I said to him. He just held me tighter.
"I love you, Angel," he whispered lovingly in my ear.
"I love you too, Obsidian," I whispered back. We kissed one last time before I walked into my house.
~Kenmei's POV~
I went to meet up with Jiraiya but found him near a cliff. I walked up to him then looked down to see Naruto on…Gamabunta?! That's a largest toad I've ever seen. I looked at Jiraiya and he smiled proudly. I looked down and smiled seeing Naruto cheer in happiness. I grabbed Jiraiya's hand and leaned my head on his arm/shoulder considering he's taller than me. He intertwined out fingers together.
"He's a strong kid," I said to him.
"Yeah, he tapped into the Nine Tails Chakra and was able to summon Gamabunta," he told me. I nodded.
"Tenshi got a visit from Jinroo, Orochimaru's back," I told him. He stiffened at the name. We were all pretty close; Jiraiya, me, Tsunade, and Orochimaru. When he left, it hurt us all, but when he killed to get what he wanted, it broke our hearts. I even remember when Orochimaru…kidnapped me. I felt tears in my eyes and Jiraiya saw that, he wrapped his arms around me.
"Orochimaru can't get you anymore, Mei. I'll protect you, I promise," he said to me. I smiled at that.
"You piece of shit toad! How dare you say such things?! I'm the one who summoned you so I'm your master! Got that, Stupid Toad?!" Naruto shouted. We looked down to see a pissed off toad and Naruto.
"What the…who the hell do you think you're talking to?! Some little kid is saying he's the master of Boss Toad, Lord Gamabunta? You want your head ripped off?! Eh?!" Gamabunta shouted scarring Naruto.
"I'm s-sorry, Boss Toad," Naruto stuttered.
"Well, calm down then I'll make you my underling, be thankful!" Gamabunta lectured.
"Y-yes, Boss Toad!" Naruto said back. Jiraiya and I started laughing at the sight.
"Well, that got switched around," he said. He then looked at me. "We should probably disappear, it'll be a hassle if that toad sees me," Jiraiya told me. I nodded and we walked away hand in hand. With that, we talked about everything, I had really missed this man.
~Tenshi's POV~
The next morning, Tamotsu and I woke up and went to go visit Lee at the hospital. I hadn't seen him in a while. I got there and saw Naruto and Shikamaru heading there. I said hi to them and we continued our way to his room. When we got there, we saw Gaara. Shikamaru trapped him in his Shadow Possession Jutsu. I appeared in front of Lee and did hand signs.
"Moon Style: Lunar Shield!" I shouted. The white shield appeared and Naruto punched Gaara which meant he also punched Shikamaru. I looked at Gaara and glared. Naruto glared back at him with me and Shikamaru.
"You, what were you up to?" Naruto asked him. Gaara didn't say anything and I was getting ticked off.
"Either you start talking or I'll use force, you know I don't lie, Gaara," I growled. "I told you before, if you hurt my friends, I would take you down, I never bluff," I said to him. "Now, what were you up to?" I repeated Naruto's question.
"I was trying to kill him," Gaara said calmly.
"Why is there a need to do that? You won the fight! Do you have some personal grudge against him?" Shikamaru asked him.
"I do not, I'm going to kill him just because I want to kill him," Gaara said to him.
"What are you talking about, bastard?!" Naruto shouted. Tamotsu growled.
"You really have changed, Gaara, your nothing but scum now," Tamotsu growled.
"You must have had a messed up childhood. How self-centered can you be?" Shikamaru asked him.
"If you get in my way, I'll kill you too," Gaara threatened.
"What?! Go ahead and try!" Naruto shouted.
"Hey! Naruto, stop!" Shikamaru warned him. "We know from your fight with him that you're strong, but we're not too bad ourselves either and we didn't show our 'special moves' in the prelims. Plus, it's four on one, you're at the disadvantage. If you listen to what we say, we'll let you leave quietly," Shikamaru said to him.
"I'll say it again, get in my way and I'll kill you," Gaara told him.
"I won't be killed by the likes of you!" Naruto shouted. I grabbed Gaara by the throat.
"And neither will I," I growled.
"I told you to stop it! His strength is like a monster! Don't you two understand that?!" Shikamaru shouted. Tamotsu, Naruto and I smirked.
"We have real monsters in us, we won't lose to the likes of him," Naruto said. I nodded and let my eyes changed to Jinroo's making Gaara's eyes widen.
"Just like you, Gaara, we were born monsters, I know the story of Shukaku, the One Tailed Beast. Just as you are the holder of him, I'm the holder of the Ten Tailed Wolf, we both didn't have much. You lost your mother to sacrifice, your father is the Kazekage, and your siblings fear you. My mother was the Mangetsukage, I had a step-father who died, and a little sister who died as well. No one in my family tried to kill me, but your father has tried to assassinate you numerous times since you were six," I said to him. Everyone gasped. "I know more about you Gaara then you'll ever know, you think you don't deserve to live and always ask yourself why you're even alive. I have the answer to that because I've thought of the same questions, we are meant for something great, but killing isn't it, Gaara. You think our kind are meant to be killers, but we're not, we are meant to be guardians, but you and Shukaku are abusing that power for your own selfish reasons, for you bloodlust. I know you've had a hard life, Gaara, but you're not the only one in that department, Naruto and I have had a hard life as well. You still have your father and siblings, I only have my dad, aunt, and Tamotsu, and Naruto has no one our aunt. In my opinion, you have more than us, but you made the choice to kill, we didn't and now you're paying the price. If you keep this lifestyle up, you end up alone for the rest of your life," I said to him. I know I've shocked everyone with my speech, but it had to be said. That's when the door opened.
"That's enough, Tenshi," Uncle Guy said to me. He then looked at Gaara and the others. "The finals are tomorrow, don't get so antsy. Or do you want to stay here starting today?" He asked them. I let Gaara go and he walked passed Uncle Guy.
"I'll definitely kill you guys, just wait," he said to us. I clenched my fist and kit the wall making a small crater shocking everyone.
"And I'll be waiting to stop you," I growled quietly. With that I left with Tamotsu trailing behind me. I'm going to get the old Gaara back, even if it's the last thing I do.
