~Tenshi's POV~
Today was the day of the finals. I wasn't really nervous, but upset. I haven't seen Sasuke all day and that's worrying me. But I'm still upset with Gaara about yesterday. I walked to the arena with Tamotsu after my dad had wished me good luck. I stood next to Naruto who was looking around, as were me and Shikamaru, we couldn't find Dosu anywhere.
"Hey, stop looking around. Face the customers. In this tournament, your guys are the stars," Uncle Genma told us.
"Thanks for coming to the Hidden Leaf Chuunin Exams! We will now start the main Tournament matches between the ten participants who made it through the preliminaries! Please stay and watch until the end!" Lord Hokage said.
"Ten?" I asked.
"There's something I'd like to tell you before the matches, look at this," Uncle Genma said to us. He showed us a piece of paper with our names on it. Turns out its going to start with Naruto and Neji, then me and Karitoriki, then Sasuke and Gaara, afterwards is Kankuro and Shino, then lastly, Temari and Shikamaru. Dosu wasn't on there. "There have been some minor changes to the tournament, check once again to see who you're fighting," he told us.
"Sasuke isn't here yet, what are you gonna do?" Naruto asked.
"If he doesn't appear by the time of his match he will receive a default loss," Uncle Genma answered. "Alright guys, this is the final test, the arena is different but the rules are the same as in the prelims, there are none. You fight until one of you dies or acknowledges defeat. But if I determine that the fight is over I'll step in and stop it, you go that?" He asked us. I nodded with Tamotsu. "Now, the first fight, Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyuuga. Those two stay here while the rest of you go to the waiting room," Uncle Genma said to all of us. I looked at Naruto and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Naruto, do me a favor and kick his ass for me. He deserves it for what he did to Hinata," I said to him. Naruto smirked and nodded.
"You got it, Tenshi, wish me luck," he said to me. I smirked back.
"You don't need it…big brother," I said to him. He grinned and nodded.
"Thanks, lil sis," he said to me. I nodded and walked off with Tamotsu. I got to the waiting room and watched the match as I leaned against the railing. They got ready, Neji had his Byakugan ready as Naruto made Shadow Clones. Naruto and his clones attacked only to be taken down.
"Becoming Hokage, eh? It's impossible with that, I can figure it out with these eyes. Talent is decided at your birth, you could say that everything is decided when a person is born," Neji smirked. My fist clenched and Shikamaru placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Why the hell do you automatically decide things like that?!" Naruto shouted.
"Then…are you saying anyone can become Hokage through hard work? Only a hand full of Shinobi are chosen to become Hokage," Neji told him. "Look closer at reality! Those that become Hokage are born into that destiny. You don't become it by trying, it's decided by destiny. People must live within their own unchangeable flow. Only one, the only destiny that every person shares is death," Neji told him.
"So what?! I'm not giving up!" Naruto shouted. He then made more Shadow Clones.
"I'm not stupid, I see through your attack pattern," Neji said to him.
"I told you to stop automatically deciding things!" Naruto shouted at him.
"Come on, Naruto, you can do this," I cheered quietly. With that said, he started attacking again. Neji ended up find the real one and made him spit up blood. "Naruto!" Tamotsu and I shouted out of worry.
"That's why I told you it was useless," Neji told him. Naruto chuckled.
"Hehe, that's why I told you to stop automatically decide things," Naruto smirked. Turns out, that was another Shadow Clone. I smirked at his tactic.
"That's the blond, knuckle-headed ninja I know! Kick his ass, Naruto!" Tamotsu growled happily.
"I'm coming at you with everything I've got, so prepare to die!" Naruto shouted. Naruto went to punch him out, but Neji used the Heavenly Spin making Naruto fly back a bit.
"Gentle Fist Style: Sixty-Four Palms!" Neji called out. He started attacking Naruto at an immense speed. Naruto got knocked down once Neji finished. Come on, Naruto.
"Come on, Naruto! You're stronger than this! If you're going to be Hokage, then don't give up!" I shouted encouragingly. Naruto looked at me with wide eyes. He then nodded, he started to stand up but shakily.
"I told you I'm not good at giving up," Naruto said to him.
"Quit already, continuing won't change anything, I have no grudge against you," Neji said.
"S-shut up! I do!" Naruto shouted at him.
"What do you mean?" Neji asked him.
"Why, if you're this strong, why, with those eyes that can see everything did you mentally attack Hinata, who was trying so hard?" Naruto asked him.
"That's none of your business," he replied.
"Insulting Hinata, automatically deciding she's a loser! Main Family, Branch Family, I don't know what the hell happened, but pieces of shit like you who call other people losers I will never forgive!" Naruto shouted. I nodded in agreement. Neji smirked.
"Alright fine, if you're going to go that far, then I'll tell you. The Hyuuga's destiny of hatred. The Hyuuga Main Family has a special Ninjutsu that's been passed down. It's a Curse Seal Jutsu," Neji told him. I already knew about it.
"The curse of the mark represents 'a bird in a cage'. It is the symbol of being tied down to an inescapable destiny," I told them. Neji nodded and took his forehead protector off revealing the seal. It was an X with hook and a line another opposite sides of the X. He was given the seal at the age of four and it happened during a grand ceremony here in the village. It was also Hinata's third birthday. Before he had known of the mark, he would have gladly protected Hinata, he actually liked her then. He was told he would have to protect her. But his father did something his brother didn't tolerate, he practically tortured Neji's father. But something happened that made Neji hate the Main Family, and honestly, I wouldn't blame him for it. His father was killed by the Main Family. One night, Hinata was kidnapped, Hiashi, Hinata's father, killed the kidnapper. The kidnapper was the Cloud Shinobi who came to the village to sign the alliance treaty. Turns out the Cloud wanted the Byakugan of Hiashi, the village agreed to it. But Hiashi's brother took his place. We were all shocked by this, well, except me and Tamotsu. I was already in Neji's head once, so I knew everything he did.
"Your destiny was decided the moment I became your opponent. Your destiny is to lose to me, there's no doubt," Neji said to him.
"We won't know until it's over!" Naruto called over to him. Neji then put his protector back on. "I don't know how much it hurt that your dad was killed a long time ago, but think that destiny is all decided because of that is a huge mistake!" Naruto shouted at him.
"You're hopeless," Neji said to him. He then attacked Naruto making him fly back. "Examiner, it's over, heh, damn loser" Neji smirked.
"D-don't run away," Naruto grunted standing up. "I won't run, I don't go back on my word," Naruto told him.
"Heh, I've heard that before," Neji said to him.
"There's no way I'll lose to a coward who's always whining about destiny," Naruto told him.
"An ignorant brat like you shouldn't be lecturing, people are born burdened with a destiny they cannot oppose," he said calmly. He then looked at Naruto and pointed at him. "You could never understand what it's like to be burdened with a symbol you could never rid yourself of!" Neji shouted. Hearing that, I moved a hand to the seal over my heart.
"Yeah, I can, but so what? Stop acting cool, you're not the only one that's special. Hinata too! She's suffered as much as you! A member of the Main Family, but not acknowledged, trying her best to change herself thinking that as she was coughing up blood while fighting you. You're the same! The Branch Family is supposed to protect the Main Family, yet doing that to Hinata. In truth, you're trying your hardest to disobey destiny!" Naruto shouted. Naruto was panting and I could see that he was in pain.
"Heh, your sixty-four opening points are closed, you won't be able to use Chakra for a while, how will you fight?" Neji asked him with a smirk. "In the end, you, Tenshi, and Lady Hinata share the same destiny," Neji said to him. My eyes widened, he really thought of me like that?
"Shut up! Stop using that Byakugan to decide and act like you know everyone's destinies!" Naruto shouted.
"Then prove to me that what your saying is correct," Neji smirked.
"Yeah! I'm definitely going to defeat you and prove that!" Naruto shouted. Neji told the examiner to say Naruto lost, but Uncle Genma didn't budge. I looked at Naruto and I knew what he was doing. Come on, Naruto, lock into the Nine Tailed Fox, you can do it.
"Can I asked one thing? Why do you go against your destiny so much?" Neji asked him while smirking.
"Because I was called a loser!" Naruto told him. Naruto's Chakra was then released, or rather, the Nine Tailed Fox's. Naruto's wounds then started to heal. I smirked and chuckled making everyone look at me.
"Enjoy getting your ass kicked, Neji. When you mess with the beast, it's best to run away," I said to him with a smirk. His eyes widened at me. Naruto was then much stronger.
"Here I come!" he growled. Naruto started attacking again. He was a lot faster now and no doubt, he was stronger. I know you can win this, Naruto, make us proud. "When I become Hokage, I'll change the Hyuuga!" Naruto shouted. There was then an explosion when their Chakra collided. There were then two holes in the ground. Neji got out of his and walked towards Naruto who pretended to be done. But Naruto surprised him and punched him. Neji was down. "I failed the academy exam three times. That's because for me, the Shadow Clone Jutsu was always my weakest Jutsu, so it was always that test. Destiny can't be changed, blah, blah. Stop whining about stupid crap like that since you're not a loser like me," Naruto said to him. Uncle Genma smirked.
"Winner! Naruto Uzumaki!" He announced. Everyone cheered for Naruto.
"Way to go, Naruto! I knew you could do it!" I shouted.
"Way to go, Squirt!" Tamotsu shouted. He then howled at Naruto's victory. Naruto came up as Neji was taken away. I hugged Naruto and he laughed.
"Next match! Karitoriki Fushichou and Ookami no Tenshi Hatake!" Uncle Genma called out. Tamotsu and I jumped down and stood across from Karitoriki. Everyone was cheering me on.
"Show him the ways of the wolf, Tenshi!" Naruto shouted. I smiled at him and nodded.
"Are you both ready?" Uncle Genma asked us. We both nodded. "Begin!" He shouted. He brought out a katana as I did hand signs.
"Moon Style: Lunar Saber!" I shouted. The light appeared and in its place was the sword. We started fighting with the swords, as soon as we clashed together, we jumped back. He did hand signs.
"Fire Style: Fiery Fist!" He shouted. Before I could move he punched me with a black fire cover fist. I was knocked back.
"Tenshi!" Tamotsu shouted. I stood up and wiped the blood off my lip.
"I'm impressed," I said. I then did hand signs. "Moon Style: Strength of the Beast!" I shouted. My fist glowed white and I went to punch him. He grabbed my fist and threw me to the wall.
"You're pathetic, just like the rest of your clan. You're nothing but a bunch of mutts who need to be put down. Good thing it's only you left, I was hoping to kill one of you," he said to me. I growled and did the Jutsu again.
"Keep hoping!" I said as I punched him. He went flying back. It was only a Shadow clone. He then appeared behind me and stabbed my in the side.
"Tenshi!" Naruto and the others yelled.
"Like I said, you're pathetic," he said to me. He threw me on the ground. "Looks like I won, examiner," he said to Uncle Genma. Uncle looked at me and I shook my head. I started to stand up shakily.
"Why do you hate me so much? What have I ever done to you?" I asked him.
"You humiliated my sister, other than that, your clan is just a waste of space," he said to me. I clutched my wound and looked at him.
"Your sister was the first to hurt me, and we were just kids. But you say we're pathetic? Look at your clan, we tried to make peace with your clan, but you think we're nothing but a bunch of mangy mutts. We tried to stop our little war, and that takes courage, but you all just want to fight until you're on top, honestly, that's pathetic," I said to him. He growled at me with a glare.
"What would you know? You're a monster! No one liked you, yet you stand up for them! Everyone wanted you dead, yet you still fight for them! You're a freakin' demon and you still fight when rightfully you should die!" He shouted at me. Everyone was shocked at what he said about me. I looked at him with a calm expression.
"So what? I have a demon inside me, doesn't make me a demon. I fight for my clan because it's right, and there were people who loved me. My mom, my step-dad, my little sister, Tamotsu's twin brother, they're all dead now. But ever since I came here, I found a new reason to live, my friends and my father along with my brother, Tamotsu. I already told your sister, my pack is my strength, and that pack has grown over the years, and I know, no matter what, they will always stand with me. When I was a child, maybe I would have ran away from a fight, but now…I'm not going to run with my tail between my legs, I'll fight until I take my very last breath," I told him. I saw my friends smile or smirk at that along with my Aunts, Uncles, father, and the Hokage. "If you ask me, it's you who's pathetic," I said to him. He glared harder and did hand signs.
"Dark Style: Nightmares of Hell!" He shouted. I was then clutching my head seeing everyone I loved dead. I felt their pain, what they went through, I heard their screams, and I smelt their blood.
"Tenshi! Fight it! You can do it, we with you even if you can't see us!" Naruto shouted. I started to come back, I was panting. I closed my eyes and felt for more power. Please Jinroo, give me strength.
'As you wish, young one,' Jinroo told me. My wound then healed and I felt stronger. I stood up and smirked at him. My Chakra covered my body in a white aura. I looked at Tamotsu.
"Do you think it's time for our surprise?" I asked him. He smirked and nodded.
"You know it, Tenshi!" He growled happily. We did your hand signs.
"Ookami no Style: Wolf Transformation!" We shouted.
~Naruto's POV~
I watched as Tenshi and Tamotsu did a Jutsu I had never seen them do. It was amazing. A blinding light covered them and they transformed. When the light disappeared, we all looked to see a ten foot tall silver wolf with silver eyes, some patches of fur had white tips. Tenshi was beautiful in her Lone Wolf Warrior form, but she looks majestic in this form. Tenshi smirked.
"Wolf Style: Heavenly Howl!" She shouted. She then howled, it sounded nice to me. But when I looked at Karitoriki, he was clutching his ears and screaming. He then passed out.
"Winner! Ookami no Tenshi Hatake and Tamotsu!" Genma-Sensei announced. Tenshi and Tamotsu turned back and smiled. Everyone was cheering for her. It was great. She jumped up to us and hugged me. We laughed and she looked around. When she didn't find what she was looking for, she frowned. I placed a hand on her shoulder.
"He would have loved to see you fight, believe it," I said to her. She smiled at me and hugged me again.
"I just hope Sasuke gets here soon," she said. I nodded in agreement. Where are you, you bastard?
