~Tenshi's POV~
I was up in the audience with my dad and Uncle Guy while I watched Sasuke's match. I kept having this feeling that something bad is going to happen. I looked at my dad, he didn't looked too worried, but I couldn't ignore this feeling.
"You're getting a bad feeling," dad stated. I didn't look at him while I nodded. I looked at Gaara then the Kazekage, I know something is going to happen and no doubt the Sound Village is involved with them.
"You know me, dad, I'm always alert meaning I keep my senses open to what I can. I can see that the Kazekage is up to something and the fact that the Sound Nin from earlier tried to practically kill us with smiles on their faces says something," I told him. Dad nodded.
"You always were very observing," Uncle Guy told me. I nodded with my dad.
"Honestly, I'm worried about Sasuke, I know Gaara is involved, yesterday he threatened Shikamaru, Naruto, Tamotsu, and I. I know something is going on within him, Shukaku is trying to take over for his bloodlust," I told them. Dad placed a hand on my shoulder and gave it a gentle and comforting squeeze.
"Sasuke will make it through this, Tenshi, I have no doubt about it," dad told me. I looked down…then how come I feel like my dream is coming close to being true? Uncle Genma told them to begin the match and Gaara brought out sand to attack. Gaara's head started to hurt and he started talking to himself. Once that passed, Sasuke took out some shuriken and threw them at Gaara only to be blocked by the sand, the sand soon started turning into a clone of Gaara, Sasuke was able to take it down to get to Gaara, but like in Lee's match, he used Lee's technique by going behind Gaara and going for the punch, knocking Gaara down. Gaara's sand skin started to crack.
"So that's the armor of sand, eh?" Sasuke asked him. He smirked and made a motion for Gaara to come at him. "Come on," he said to him. Sasuke pretty much became as fast as Lee, swerving around Gaara and kicked him knocking Gaara down. "What's wrong? Is that it?" Sasuke asked with a smirk. Sasuke ran around him in that fast speed and kicked Gaara again. He then grabbed Gaara by his collar and kneed his stomach. Sasuke was panting but had no scratch on him. Dad, you've really trained him good…thank you.
"What kind of training did you do? To come this far in just a month," Uncle Guy said in awe. I smirked as dad answered.
"Sasuke had copied Lee's Taijutsu with the Sharingan before, that's why during his training, I had Sasuke use Lee's move. Because he knew Lee and had seen him in action before, he was able to master the style, it was a lot of work, of course," Dad told him. I smiled at that.
"What do you expect?" I asked. Everyone looked at me. "He's an Uchiha, they work hard so they can win their battles, sometimes you lose the battle before you can win, Sasuke has lost battles with Gaara through training, this time…he's going to win…I just know it," I smiled at them. They all smiled at me do to my optimism. I activated my Taiingan and concentrated on Sasuke. 'I hope you heard all of that,' I said to him. I saw his smirk.
'Of course I did…thanks for saying that, Angel. I'll win this battle…for you,' he thought back to me. I blushed and smiled.
'Don't win it just for me, Obsidian, win it for both of us,' I said to him. He nodded in acknowledgment. Gaara started making a sand dome around him to guard himself. That's when Naruto showed up as Sasuke was going to attack the sand dome. Sasuke punched it only to get a cut on his cheek and bloody knuckles.
"Kakashi-Sensei!" Naruto called out. We all turned and looked at him. "Stop this fight right now! He's totally different from us! He's not normal!" Naruto exclaimed.
"Naruto, what are you talking about?" Ino asked him furrowing her eyebrows.
"He lives to kill others! Anyway, at this rate Sasuke will die!" Naruto told us. He then looked at me. "Tenshi, you know I'm right, you've seen it!" He said to me. I nodded but looked back at him.
"Don't worry, dad and Sasuke weren't late for nothing," I offered a small smile. Dad smiled at me and nodded.
"What are you talking about?" Naruto asked me.
"I've seen him practicing a special move. He can do this, I know he can," I said to him. I watched as Sasuke kicked the dome again. "Just watch him, Naruto, you're in for a big surprise. Just like I was working on my new Jutsu, Sasuke was too," I told him. Dad placed his arm around me and pulled me to his side. Sasuke did hand signs and we started seeing sparks of lightning.
"No way…is that?" Uncle Guy asked. I smiled and nodded.
"The reason I trained Sasuke is because he is the same type as me," dad said proudly. There was more lightning around Sasuke as he smirked.
"Heightened flesh?! I see…so that's why you only trained in Taijutsu and had him greatly raise his speed," Uncle Guy said.
"Yup!" Dad smiled. Sasuke was moving at the speed of lightning as he was controlling it. The lightning started making a 'chi' noise.
"What is this technique? And this sound?" Sakura asked.
"A simple stab," Uncle Guy told her. She looked at him. "But it is…the Leaf's number one technician, Copy Ninja Kakashi's sole original technique," Uncle Guy told them. I smiled.
"It's a technique specifically for assassination, the speed of the stab and the great amount of Chakra that creates the heightened flesh, because the Chakra is concentrated in the hand and with the speed of the user, you hear that 'chi' sound. It produces a sound like a thousand birds are running towards you, that technique is called the Chidori," I said proudly. Sasuke then punched the lightning Chakra ball at the sand.
"Chidori!" He shouted.
"Naruto, that Lone Wolf Warrior Jutsu I have," I started. He looked at me again.
"What about it?" He asked me.
"I/She created it," Dad, Tamotsu, and I said in unison. Everyone looked at me with shocked eyes.
"Just as my dad created this Jutsu, I created that one, it takes a long time to master a Jutsu if you've created it yourself, but when you teach someone else, if your dedicated enough, it may as well only take a month or so," I told them. Dad nodded with Tamotsu and we watch the fight unravel.
"Chidori, or as it's also known, the Lightning Edge," Uncle Guy said.
"Lightning Edge?" Sakura asked.
"The Lightning Edge is a nickname earned when Kakashi cut a bolt of lightning with that technique. It's true name is Chidori, it's known for its stabbing speed that pushes the limits of the human body and the huge amount of Chakra that is focused in one arm, that arm the becomes the blade of a sword that cuts anything. But…what a truly ridiculous technique it is," Uncle Guy said crossing his arms.
"Like you should talk, right, Lee?" Dad asked him.
"Well, it's beyond my level of understanding but what an amazing technique!" Sakura said in awe. I looked at Sasuke and saw that his arm was still in the sand dome. I was become worried.
"Come on, Sasuke, get your arm out of there," I mumbled in worry. He tried getting his arm out after Gaara shouted 'blood, my blood!' Gaara had taken the wound and as soon as Sasuke hot his arm out something like claws had a hold on him.
"What is that?" Uncle Guy asked worriedly. I saw the hole in the sand dome start to widen and eventually Gaara was out of the sand dome.
"Dad, remember when I mention that 'bad feeling'?" I asked him.
"Uh huh?" He answered.
"I think it's happening now," I said a little nervously. I looked at Sasuke. "Sasuke! Get out of there!" I shouted at him soon feather were all around…a Genjutsu.
"Kakashi, this is…" Uncle Guy trailed off.
"Yeah," he said.
"A Genjutsu," Tamotsu and I finished. Dad, Uncle Guy, Tamotsu, Sakura, and I did a hand sign.
"Release!" We shouted. I looked at the Kazekage…he had been behind this!
"That bastard!" Tamotsu shouted. Tamotsu and I jumped down to Sasuke and I looked at his arm.
"Are you okay?" I asked him. He nodded at me. "There were nine traitors in the stands," I told him. Tamotsu sniffed and growled.
"Tenshi, take a whiff, you won't believe who joined the party," Tamotsu growled. I sniffed around me and caught the scent. My eyes widened and then narrowed.
"Orochimaru!" I growled. "Figures that no good, snake face would be behind this, he's the Kazekage in disguise," I said. Temari, Kankuro, and Baki jumped down to Gaara who was shaking, holding his head. Uncle Genma stood in front of us.
"Abort the mission," Baki said looking at Uncle Genma. "You guys take Gaara and retreat," he ordered.
"What about you?!" Temari asked.
"I'll join the battle, go!" He ordered them. Uncle Genma walked up to him a bit.
"Is the leader of this party Orochimaru?" He asked looking for confirmation.
"Who knows? Let's just join the fun," Baki smirked.
"What's going on?!" Sasuke shouted.
"Sorry, but the Chuunin Exam is over, you three go pursue Gaara and the others," Uncle Genma told us. Our eyes widened. "Your already Chuunin level, Sasuke, and Tenshi, your practically a Jounin. If you're both Leaf Shinobi then make yourselves useful," he said to us with a smirk. I nodded with Sasuke and Tamotsu. We made our way to the arena wall and jumped over it. We started going after Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro but they were already farther ahead and I could see that Sasuke was having a hard time due to the injury of his arms. I stopped and Sasuke looked at me.
"Why did you stop?" He asked me. I looked at him the bit my thumb. I drew the summoning circle and did hand signs.
"Summoning Jutsu: Hige (whiskers) and Akira (Bright/Clear)!" I shouted. That's when a Hige, an eight foot, dark brown furred, gold eyed wolf, and Akira, a seven foot, grey furred, silver eyed, wolf, appeared. They looked at me and caught our distress.
"Lady Tenshi, Tamotsu, what's going on?" Hige asked us.
"Konoha has been attacked, we're going to need your help. Akira, can you let Sasuke ride on your back while he gains his Chakra back?" I asked the grey wolf. She nodded and went up to Sasuke.
"Jump onto my back, young Uchiha," she said to him. He nodded and got onto her back and I looked at Hige.
"Hige, I need you to help my father and the rest of my team back at the arena. When they're ready, lead them to us," I told him. He nodded.
"Yes, Milady, I wish you all good luck," he said to us. He started running and I looked at Sasuke.
"You ready for this?" I asked him. He nodded and held on to Akira as we started following Gaara and his siblings again.
~Kakashi's POV~
After Tenshi, Tamotsu, and Sasuke Left, we had to fight Sound Ninja. I saw that Sakura was going to be attack by some Sound Nin, I jumped in front of her and killed them with my kunai
"Sakura, stay like that for a bit, I'll even the odds a little," I told her. She stayed Hidden as I began to fight again. I ended up back to back with Guy.
"Damn it! I'm concerned about the Hokage," Guy told me.
"Let the Anbu handle what's going on above, besides, Lord Hokage isn't a person that will be taken down easily. After all, that person is the Hidden Leaf's Hokage!" I told him. I turned my back to Sakura. "This is the first mission you've had in quite a while, Naruto will be happy," I told her.
"What kind of mission?" She asked me.
"Listen carefully, for the first time since the wave country mission, this is an A Rank," I told her. Another Nin attack and I blocked it. "Sasuke, Tenshi, and Tamotsu are in pursuit of Gaara and the other from the Sand. Sakura, get Naruto and Shikamaru out of the Genjutsu and catch up to Sasuke and Tenshi," I told her. I cut my thumb and summoned Pakkun, my dog summon. More ninja were going to attack us but a blur of dark brown fur took them down. I looked at him and saw Gold eyes.
"Thought you could use some help, Lord Kakashi," Hige smirked. I nodded at him….but damn! Him and his honorifics. He looked at Sakura. "Lady Sakura, are you alright?" He asked her. She nodded.
"Who are you?" She asked.
"I am Hige, the Wolf King. Lady Tenshi has sent me to help you all and to lead you to her and Lord Sasuke when you are ready," Hige told us. I nodded with Sakura. She, Pakkun, and Hige made their way to Naruto.
~Sakura's POV~
I released Naruto from the Genjutsu and he woke up.
"Huh? What happened, Sakura?" He asked me.
"She will tell you later, Lord Naruto, all of you, get down," Hige told us. I looked at Shikamaru to see he wasn't wake and Pakkun bit his leg waking him up.
"You were able to deflect the Genjutsu too! Why were you playing possum?!" I shouted at him.
"I didn't want to be attacked, I refuse! Who cares about Sasuke?" He asked me taking Pakkun off his leg. I hit him over the head.
"How about your friend, Tenshi! That's her boyfriend you idiot!" I shouted at him.
"Dammit," he grumbled. Hige went up to him.
"You may not like Lord Sasuke, Lord Shikamaru, but I know you care about Lady Tenshi, which means, I know you'll help her," Hige said to her. Shikamaru sighed but nodded. We were about to be attack by a Sound Nin until Guy stopped him. Kakashi-Sensei came up to use and told us to go through the hole Guy made. Hige looked at us. "All of you, get on my back, I know where they are," He said to us. We all got on to the eight foot wolf and went through the hole. Naruto was in front, I was in the middle, Shikamaru was behind me, and Pakkun was hear Hige's head.
"What is going on? Who are you?" Naruto asked Hige.
"I am one of Lady Tenshi's summons. I am Hige, the Wolf King. I suggest you hold on tight Lords and Lady, I'm going to run a little faster," he warned us. I wrapped my arms around Naruto's waist has he held on to Hige's fur and Shikamaru had his arms around my waist. "Lady Tenshi sent me to bring you all to her and Lord Sasuke, she and my son knew they would need you," Hige told us.
"Son?" We all asked.
"Tamotsu is my son," he told us. We were all shocked. "Kouga was happy to see him again," he told us.
"Kouga?" Shikamaru asked.
"One of Tamotsu and Mamoru's baby siblings. There is also there little sister, Emi (Beautiful Blessing). We hadn't seen Tamotsu since…we lost Mamoru," Hige told us.
"Where are Emi and Kouga?" I asked.
"They weren't summoned, it's me and my mate, Akira," He told us. He sniffed around and went another direction. "Akira was carrying Lord Sasuke due to him needing to restore his Chakra, you needn't worry, Lady Sakura, they are in safe hands when it comes to my mate and son," he told us. Naruto raised an eyebrow.
"Why do you use 'Lord' and 'Lady'?" He asked him. Hige simply chuckled.
"I am an alpha of honor, when it comes to someone like Lady Tenshi, I feel her human companions should have the honor she shares for you are her equals," Hige told us. We nodded. He then sniffed around, as did Pakkun. "From behind, two squads with eight, no…one more, nine men are chasing us!" Hige warned us.
"Hey, hey! Already?! You got to be kidding!" Shikamaru complained.
"Don't look as if they got a fix on our true position yet but, they're closing in on us quickly while on the lookout against any surprise attacks," Pakkun told us.
"Shit! They're probably all beyond Chuunin level, if they catch up with us we'll all be annihilated!" Shikamaru shouted.
"Shit! Well, if that's the case then shall we ambush 'em and do 'em?!" Naruto asked.
"We'd certainly have a great advantage if we were to ambush them! Even if they're twice the number, as long as we can surprise them…" Hige interrupted me.
"No, I'm sorry, Lady Sakura, but it's no use, they're subordinates of Orochimaru, a former Konoha Shinobi, also one of the Legendary Sanin," Hige told us.
"I thought we might have been able to pull it off, but then I guess not," Shikamaru gritted his teeth.
"Huh? Why, that has nothing to do with anything," I said.
"Like, what do you mean?" Naruto asked.
"Geez! You guys just don't get it. Okay, listen up! Sure, an ambush is a basic tactic that's very favorable to the user but there are two necessary conditions that must be met; the first is that those fleeing must move without making noise and discover the enemy first! The second is to locate and quickly conceal themselves in a place and position where you can take them off guard and insure you cause maximum damage to them. Only when both of these conditions are met without doubt, will the ambush become effective. Well, the first isn't so hard to clear as long as we have Pakkun's and Hige's noses. And even with the second condition, it may seem at first glance that we would be able to secure the best position to surprise them since this is our home and we're quite familiar with the geography, but this plan won't work against the subordinates of a Shinobi who was from Konoha! Because they are all probably ninjas who have mastered the art of hunting. Hunters who have been taught the geography of this land and practiced mock combat for this battle. Even with that, the ambush would still be advantageous to us but there's too many undecided factors involved! To begin with, the enemy's a ninja squad that's been organized for this plan, where as we have an idiot," Shikamaru said about Naruto. "A ninja with no special ability," he said about me. Gee, thanks a lot, jerk. "A dog," he said about Pakkun. "A Wolf King," he said about Hige, okay, I guess he likes Hige better. "And the best guy at running, me!" he said about himself. Boy, ain't that the truth. "Battle tactics, you know! It's how to come up with the best plan after fully grasping the combat ability available in a given situation and so, after that analysis, there's only one thing we can do now," Shikamaru told us.
"One thing?!" I asked.
"We need to create a diversion that looks as if we're going to ambush them, one of us will have to remain behind and delay them by faking an ambush," Shikamaru said.
"In other words, a decoy," I said.
"That's right, if they're stalled they won't be able to locate the remaining four, if we do this we'll be able to lose the remaining trackers. But the one who stays behind will probably die," he told us. He then looked at us. "So, who's going to do it? The dog and Hige are necessary to chase after Sasuke, Tamotsu, and Tenshi, in which case…" he trailed off. Naruto started to volunteer himself. "I guess I'm the only one," Shikamaru told us.
"Shikamaru?!" I asked.
"Why you?!" Naruto asked him.
"Better than being annihilated isn't it? Besides, if you can think of the guy that can fulfill the job of the decoy successfully and be the most likely to survive then, I'm the only one in the bunch who can do it," he said. He got off of Hige and looked at us. "Because the Shadow Possession Jutsu was originally a Jutsu used as a delaying tactic, you know. Well, I'll catch up with you later on so, hurry up and go!" He told us.
"You're not fighting alone, Lord Shikamaru," Hige told him he then bit his paw. "Kouga, come!" He called out. That's when Kouga, the young brown wolf appeared. He looked a lot like Hige. "Son, I'm counting on you to keep Lord Shikamaru safe, can you do that, son?" he asked him. Kouga nodded.
"Yes, father," Kouga replied. He then ran up to Shikamaru. "Lord Shikamaru and I shall meet you with all soon, good luck!" Kouga told us.
"We're counting on you both!" Naruto told them. A little later on, we thought Shikamaru wasn't really delaying them and ran away. We soon learned that the pursuers had stopped following! They did it! Hige sniffed then chuckled.
"Lord Asuma has arrived to help Lord Shikamaru and Kouga! They'll be just fine," he told us. Naruto and I sighed in relief.
~Kouga's POV~
We were about to be slaughtered when a ninja came up behind us holding a Sound Nin. I turned with Lord Shikamaru to see who it was. Lord Asuma!
"It's about time, Lord Asuma! We almost lost our heads!" I shouted at him. He just chuckled and scratched me behind the ear.
"Sorry I'm late, Kouga, had to help Kakashi and Guy a little bit," he told me. I nodded and thought of my family. Mother, father, Tamotsu, Lady Tenshi, please be careful.
