~Kenmei's POV~
Jiraiya and I were on our way to help the other ninja take down the summoned snakes in the village. We saw Ibiki and the others and Jiraiya did hand signs.
"Ninpou Summoning Watchtower Demolisher Jutsu!" He shouted summoning a huge frog that had katana's on its back. I did a summoning next.
"Summoning Jutsu: Masanori (Model of righteousness, justice)!" I shouted. A wolf as big as Gamabunta appeared. Masanori was a midnight blue wolf with light blue eyes. After we took two of the snakes down I looked at Ibiki.
"Long time, no see, eh, Ibiki. Geez, is your body the only thing that grew up?! I just can't stand to watch you, eh!" Jiraiya joked. I shook my head with a small smile on my face.
"Just ignore him, Ibiki, you've grown to be a wonderful gentlemen," I said to him.
"Lord Jiraiya! Lady Kenmei!" He said in amazement.
"By Jiraiya and Kenmei, you mean the legendary Sanin?" A fell ninja asked.
"Little chickadees! Open them small eyes of yours as wide as you can and take a really, really good look! Blessed be! It's the twilight zone flight of rampage by Jiraiya, the Alien Sage Ninja!" Jiraiya said enthusiastically. I rolled my eyes with another smile. "And his partner the Lunar Sage Ninja!" He said looked at me. I blushed a little and chuckled. "All you snakes frozen in your tracks by the glare of the frog and wolf!" He shouted at the snakes who were still. I looked at Ibiki and Jiraiya become more serious.
"Where's the Third Hokage?" I asked.
"He's at the test arena," Ibiki told us. I nodded.
"I see," Jiraiya mumbled. I looked at Jiraiya.
"I hope you're ready to get back into action, Raiya," I smirked. He smirked back and winked.
"You bet your sweet as I am, Mei," he said to me. Orochimaru, you're going to pay for all that you've done!
~Tenshi's POV~
We had finally caught up to Gaara and his siblings after I told Akira to go help Hige. Sasuke, Tamotsu, and I stopped in front of the Sand Siblings and smirked.
"Dammit," Temari cursed under her breath.
"You can't escape," Sasuke said to them.
"Did you really think you could get away?" I asked them. Kankuro then stepped up taking his puppet off his back.
"Temari, take Gaara and go ahead," Kankuro ordered. She nodded and left with Gaara. Kankuro looked at us. "Sense there's no helping it, I'll be your opponent," he said to us. I then sensed a family chakra pattern and smirked.
"No, I'll be your opponent," Shino said.
"Shino, I should have known you would follow us, you always did have my back when I needed it," I said. Shino nodded.
"How can I not? You're practically my little sister," he said to me.
"Shino, what are you doing here?" Sasuke asked him.
"Before you two left the arena, I used some female bugs to spread their scent on you. The scent of the female is nearly non-existent, only the males of the same species can traces the faint scent of suck females, though the males themselves have a stronger scent. Sasuke Uchiha, Ookami no Tenshi Hatake, Tamotsu, you chase after Gaara, after all, your match with him is yet to be decided, Sasuke. I'll fight this one since I was supposed to be his opponent anyway," Shino told us.
"Your rather confident, think you can do it?" Sasuke asked him.
"Don't worry, I'll keep off your backs for ten minutes," Shino said to us. Sasuke smirked.
"Humph, by that time we'll have finished up here," Sasuke. I shook my head with a small smile and looked at Shino.
"Good luck, my friend," I said to him. He nodded his head.
"He won't need luck, Lady Tenshi. I'll help Lord Shino in this battle," Akira said coming up to beside him. I nodded. "The others shall be here soon, go on," she said to us. We nodded and left. We followed Temari and Gaara and saw them stop.
"Get lost! Mind your own business!" Gaara shouted pushed Temari into a tree. I sighed.
"Shukaku is trying to take him over," I said to Sasuke. He looked at me with surprise the glared at Gaara.
"Although I don't know the motives of your village, we will stop you," Sasuke said to him. Gaara started tumbling over in pain. "I want to see your true face," Sasuke said to him. Gaara looked at him.
"Your eyes have the same look as mine, the need to seek out power, the determination and the bloodlust, you're just like me. You; that is strong…you; that have companions…you; that has an ambition…you; that is like me. Once I kill you, I will be the one to have destroyed all of that, only then can I survive, only then can I a feel alive!" Gaara shouted. That was when Gaara started to transform into Shukaku, I pushed Sasuke behind me.
"Sasuke, get out of here, you don't want to be around this," I warned him, he grabbed my hand and looked at me sternly.
"I'm not leaving you," he said to me. So freaking stubborn!
"You're not a Jinjuuriki! You can't heal like I can! I've already lost so much, I'm not ready to lose you too!" I shouted at him. His eyes widened for a minute then went back to his stern look.
"I know you can heal, but that doesn't mean you can't die! I'm not leaving you here alone," he said to me. I sighed and reluctantly nodded. We looked at Gaara who had finally shown his true face. I then received a distress from Akira.
'Kankuro used a strange gas on us, Lord Shino is unconscious, I shall stay and protect him,' she told me.
'Be careful, we'll meet you once we're finished here,' I told her. Gaara started charging towards us looking like a rabid animal. We jumped out of the way as he punched the tree causing a good chunk of it to be gone. We hid behind on tree and I saw a cut on Sasuke's shoulder. Tamotsu licked it and it healed.
"Are you afraid of me, Sasuke Uchiha?! How about you Ookami no Tenshi Hatake?! Afraid of my existence?!" Shukaku/Gaara asked. I looked at Sasuke.
"Are you sure you don't want to back out now?" I asked him. He shook his head.
"And let you fight him alone? Screw that!" He said to me. Sasuke looked down, he was remembering something…I looked into his head and saw he was thinking about the Uchiha massacre.
"What's the matter?! Are you afraid of me?! Has your fear overtaken the hatred, the killing urge?! Is your reason for existence as puny as that?!" Shukaku/Gaara asked. Sasuke started standing up. "If you crave for an answer than come and get me!" he shouted. Sasuke then started to do the Chidori.
"Tenshi, you might want to move," he said to me. I looked at him worriedly but nodded. Tamotsu and I moved. Sasuke went to Shukaku/Gaara and used his Chidori going right through the sand arm. Gaara started laughing like a maniac and Shukaku took more of his form. This can't be good, it's getting worse and worse by the minute. He started going after Sasuke again, he was faster than before. Sasuke did hand signs then. "Fire Style: Blazing Fireball Jutsu!" He shouted. A huge fireball came out of his mouth and went towards Gaara. Gaara soon started calling Gaara weak as Tamotsu went up behind him, he jumped on Gaara's back and bit the sand side of Gaara. The sand formed and threw Tamotsu into a tree knocking him out.
"Tamotsu!" I shouted as I ran towards him. Sasuke came down by us as I checked for a heartbeat with my hearing. "His heart is faint, if we don't get him out of here soon then he'll die," I said with tears pricking my eyes. Sasuke glared at Gaara as I did a summoning. "Summoning Jutsu: Emi!" I shouted. Kouga's twin sister, who had grey fur and silver eyes like her mother.
"Lady Tenshi? What is going on?" She asked, she then looked at Tamotsu. "Big brother!" She shouted worried. She went to him and licked his cheek.
"Emi, I need you to get Tamotsu out of here, if he doesn't then he'll die, okay?" I asked her. She looked at me and nodded, she went under Tamotsu so he was on her back and she turned to me.
"Good luck, Lady Tenshi, kick that bastards ass for me," she growled. I nodded and she left. Sasuke then did another Chidori attack and when he landed…something happened to him. I walked up to him and my eyes widened.
"Sasuke, your mark…it's activated again," I said in horror as the mark covered half of his body again. He looked at Gaara and attacked again only to kick away. Gaara went to attack him again, but I and a blond knucklehead kicked him away. "About time you showed up," I said to him. Sakura, Pakkun, and Hige were by Sasuke. Naruto looked at me and pointed to Gaara.
"Who the hell is that?" He asked me. I sighed and looked down.
"It's Gaara, he's hurt Sasuke and Tamotsu," I told him. Naruto looked around.
"Where is Tamotsu?" He asked me.
"Emi, his little sister is taking him somewhere he can get healed," I told him. I looked at Gaara and saw he had his eyes trained on Sasuke, Sakura, Pakkun, and Hige. No…I looked at them. "All of you! Get out of here!" I shouted. It was too late, Gaara alright went passed me and Naruto heading towards Sakura who was ready to attack but was pinned to a tree by Gaara's sand claw as he stood over Sasuke. "Naruto, grab Sasuke while I distract him," I told Naruto. He nodded, I took out a Kunai and threw the end of it at Gaara's head causing him pain and for Naruto to grab Sasuke. I walked up to Gaara. "Gaara, you need to fight Shukaku, he can't control you forever, it's your body, you chose who you want to live, not him. If you didn't follow the way of Shukaku then you wouldn't have bloodlust, if you didn't have bloodlust then you wouldn't kill, if you wouldn't kill then you would have friends to help you. But you have none of that because you listen to the demon inside of you, you don't think for yourself," I said to him. I walked up to Gaara as I looked into his mind, I saw everything he had seen as a kid, and it was horrible. "Gaara, I know how you feel, back home, everyone in my village hated me, I'll admit…I even tried to kill myself," I said to him.
~Sasuke's POV~
I couldn't move due to the pain of the curse mark, but I listened to everything Tenshi said to Gaara.
"Gaara, I know how you feel, back home, everyone in my village hated me, I'll admit…I even tried to kill myself," she told him. My eyes widened. She really tried to kill herself? "I hated how I was alone because of what I am, I thought maybe killing myself would keep everyone safe from me. But Jinroo wouldn't let me. I then remembered my mother and little sister, how would they feel if I killed myself? Would they be happy and relieved? Or would they be in pain of losing a part of their family? My mother told me 'do not listen to what those people say, just be yourself and you'll be loved for who you are'. I didn't believe her at first, but as I came here to Konoha, I made a lot of friends because I acted like myself in front of them, I didn't listen to the people who called me a 'monster' or a 'demon'. It's the same with Naruto, all of us are friends because we have something about us that makes us each understand each other. Gaara, if you believe in yourself and let you be you, then you can have that, don't let Shukaku ruin your life forever," she told him. I knew I wasn't the only one who took her words to heart, I saw Naruto who had tears in his eyes. "Everything Yashumaru told you back then was a lie, your mother loved you with all her heart, the sand you control is how your mother shows that she loves you, that she protects you," she said to him. Gaara then looked at Naruto.
"What are they to you?" He asked them.
"They are our comrades, you leave them alone or else I'll kick your ass!" Naruto shouted. Way to rile him up, Loser. Gaara tightened his sand around Sakura making her scream.
"Now what? Are you going to kick my ass?" Gaara asked him.
"Just bring it, damn you!" Naruto growled. He and Tenshi went to attack Gaara but were swiped with a sand tail causing them to be thrown away crashing into a tree. I wanted to help Tenshi but I couldn't get over the pain. Naruto then summoned a frog who he started arguing with.
"Naruto, we don't have time to fight with amphibians!" Tenshi said to him. Gaara soon transformed even more.
~Tenshi's POV~
As I saw Gaara transform more into Shukaku's form, I kept thinking about what he, Naruto, and I have been through. We're all almost so much alike that it's scary.
FLASHBACK-Nine years ago-
I was playing in the park and I saw some kids playing around. Tori was with mommy considering she was only a year old. I got off the swing and walked towards the others kids. I tapped one of their shoulders causing them to turn around.
"Can I play with you?" I asked with a smile. She and her friends looked at me with horror in their eyes.
"No way! It's Ookami no Tenshi! Run before she kills us!" She shouted. They all ran away leaving me alone. I felt tears run down my cheeks as I started sobbing. I heard footsteps and turned around. It was my step-dad, Toboe. He had brown hair and eyes like my mommy. He smiled at me and bent down to my level.
"Tenshi, don't listen to those kids, I know you wouldn't hurt a fly, sweetheart," he said pulling me into a hug.
"Why do they hate me so much? What did I do to make everyone hate me?" I cried. He rubbed his hand up and down my back while his other hand laid on the back of my head.
"They think…you're the holder of a demon. The mark you have on your chest, that's a seal to keep Jinroo inside," he told me.
"Jinroo?" I asked looking at him.
"Jinroo is the Ten Tailed Wolf, but you needn't worry, Jinroo is a good demon compared to the others, she will keep you safe," he told me. I smiled at him and hugged him.
"Thank you, daddy!" I said to him causing him to laugh.
-Two years later-Konoha-
I looked at my 'dad' and glared as he led me to the academy.
"Tenshi, what's wrong?" He asked me.
"Are you really my dad? Or are you just taking pity on me?" I asked him. He sighed.
"I really am your dad, your mom left when she was pregnant with you, she never told me about you though. Had I known, I would have gone to her village with her to help raise you. I know you must have had a hard life because of the Ten Tailed Beast," he said to me. I looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"Then what would have done? Kill me? Others have already tried to kill me, what makes you so different?" I asked him. He sighed and stopped walking, he then looked at me while bending down to my height.
"Tenshi, when I found out you were my daughter, I was happy, and I heard that after Tamotsu told me about you being a Jinjuuriki. Tenshi, I will always love you as my daughter, even if you don't believe it," he told me. I looked into his one uncovered eye and saw honesty. He really meant what he said. I then hugged him and he hugged me back.
"I'm sorry," I said to him.
"You have every right to be cautious, especially after everything you've been through. Now, let's get you to school," he said to me. He held my hand as we entered the school and the teacher's room. I saw a man with brown hair that was up in a ponytail and he had a scar over his nose and cheeks. "Tenshi, this is your new teacher, Iruka-Sensei, he's a friend of mine," dad told me. I looked at Iruka and hid behind my dad. Iruka-Sensei chuckled.
"Hi, Tenshi, you don't have to be shy around me," he said to me. I saw a boy with blond hair and whiskers come down and look at me. He gave me a goofy smile. I just hid behind my dad even more.
"You're really cute! You don't have to be shy around us," the blond boy said. I didn't come out. "Tell you what, I'll be your friend, can you trust me then?" He asked holding out a hand. I looked at it then at dad who nodded his head with a smile. I took it and smile a little. "That's better! I'm Naruto Uzumaki, future Hokage, believe it! What's your name?" He asked me. I giggled bit and I saw all the boys blush.
"I'm Ookami no Tenshi…Hatake," I told him. I saw dad's eyes widen a bit then he smiled proudly.
"That's a pretty name, come on, you can sit next to me," Naruto told me. I nodded and Tamotsu followed. "Who's that?" He asked pointing to the wolf.
"He's my ninken, Tamotsu," I said to him. Tamotsu barked at the blond and Naruto pet him. I sat next to Naruto and class began. I finally have a friend!
FLASHBACK END
I have everything I could asked for right now, I have my dad, my aunt, my brother, Tamotsu, I have my friends and team, and I also have a wonderful boyfriend. What more could I ask for? Naruto and I looked at each other, nodded, and looked back at Gaara. We did hand signs making Shadow Clones. But Gaara used Wind Style getting rid of the clones. He then attacked us and we were getting pretty beat up. I didn't have Tamotsu so I couldn't do the Lone Wolf Warrior or the Wolf Transformation. I did hand signs.
"Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!" I shouted. Water shot out of my mouth but it didn't even faze him. I cursed under my breath. Naruto and I were taken back a ways but stood up getting more and more pissed at this. Naruto and I took out a kunai and a piece of bombing paper, tying the paper around the kunai. We both made Shadow Clones and started attacking. Naruto did my dad's 'thousand years of death' Jutsu while I stuck my kunai in Gaara's side. We were thrown away only to have us smirk.
"Boom," we mumbled. As we kept going, we awaited the impact of the tree, but it never came. I saw that Hige had grabbed Naruto as Sasuke had grabbed me. Sasuke started making fun of Naruto just to get him riled up. Sasuke looked at me. I had cuts, bruises, and scrapes all over.
"Tenshi, are you alright?" He asked me. I looked at him and nodded.
"I'll live, I still have to get him back for hurting you and Tamotsu," I smiled a bit. He smirked at me and nodded.
~Sasuke's POV~
I held on to Tenshi and past her over to Naruto.
"Naruto; Tenshi and Sakura, you have to save them no matter what, I know you can save them. Once you've got them, carry them and run as far and as fast that you can. If it's just for a while, I'll be able to hold him in place. Never again, I already lost everything once before, I don't ever want to watch those dear to me die before my eyes again," I said looked at Tenshi. She looked really exhausted from the amount of chakra she used. Naruto looked down with Tenshi.
"I get it, yeah, that's right. Because he was like us, because he lived feeling the same kind of loneliness and sadness we did. I thought he was strong 'cause he survived the solitude, fighting only for himself," Naruto said to me. Tenshi smirked a bit.
"But we were wrong, his strength isn't real, strength doesn't come from fighting alone. Real strength is not what you have when fighting for only yourself, when you have something special you want to protect, only then can you become strong," Tenshi finished. They did a hand sign and did their battle cries causing orange and white chakra to surround them both.
"We will protect them no matter what!" They shouted. "Full Power Shadow Clone Jutsu!" They shouted in unison. Hundreds, maybe thousands of Naruto's and Tenshi's flood the area. I was amazed at how powerful they were with this Jutsu.
"Sasuke, you take it easy, just leave the rest up to me and Naruto," Tenshi said without looking at me.
"Alright everybody! Let's go! Jump!" Naruto shouted. They all jumped and attacked using weapons and hand-to-hand combat. They all attacked at once sending Gaara down to the ground. But they kept attacking. But soon, a huge One Tailed Beast appeared. Naruto and Tenshi where engulfed with sand, then something happened. A huge frog and wolf appeared. They were taller than the trees. I was incredibly shocked, I didn't know they were this strong! Tenshi maybe, but Naruto?!
"Tenshi?! When you did you get a huge summon?!" Naruto shouted at her.
"While I was training with Auntie Kenmei! I see you have Gamabunta, I would like you to meet Yuzuki (Gentle moon)," Tenshi said. Yuzuki was a silver wolf, and I mean, her fur looked metallic almost. She wore a kimono as well, but it was made for fighting in.
"Gamabunta, it's been a while, old friend," Yuzuki said.
"Indeed it has been, Wolfie, are you ready for this?" Gamabunta asked her.
"Indeed," she replied. Hige jumped up next to Tenshi. "Ah, Hige, glad you could join us," she said to him.
"I am as well, mother," he replied to her. Mother?! If he's the king of wolves, then she's…damn. She's the Wolf Queen above Hige and Akira.
"It's payback time, hoodlum!" Gamabunta shouted. This is becoming on epic fight.
