~Gaara's POV~

As I was fighting Kimimaro, I kept thinking about Tenshi, we have to get her to a healer before she bleeds out. Kimimaro was now fully transformed into some kind of creature and was charging towards me and the others. I slammed a hand down and made a sand wall to block him, it didn't work unfortunately, and his hit sent me fly back a couple feet cracking my sand armor. Soon Lee was attacking him but was also thrown back. Kimimaro then took out his spine making it look like a staff. He used it to wrap around me but my sand blocked it. I then used Supreme Absolute Defense, Shield of Shukaku, but he was able to penetrate the shield, my sand still protected me while his spine staff wrapped around me. I then realized, this was his Kekkei Genkai. Turns out, Kimimaro was the last of the Kaguya Clan, they were able to use their bones as weapons. As he was distracted, I sunk him in quick sand, but he was able to do a Dance of the Seedling Ferns Jutsu creating spikes to emerge. I grabbed Tenshi while Lee grabbed Tamotsu, I then used my sand to lift us up above the spikes. We were both panting.

"You saved us, you're amazing to be able to do something like this," Lee said motioning towards my sand clouds.

"I was able to use sand to carry me, it's a simple task," I panted. I then looked down for any sign of Kimimaro. "He was a stubborn person, but this is the end, he won't come back out," I told him.

"It's not brainwashing, it's all my own reasoning," I heard behind me. Lee and I turned to find Kimimaro with a sword coming out of the spike behind us. "What the hell do you know?!" He shouted at me. He was going to attack…but then stopped as Lee and I were about to block the attack with our arms and my sand. Kimimaro coughed up blood and said, "I'm dying." A minute later, he was dead. I moved us to the ground and sat us against the trees. I was still holding Tenshi as Lee had laid Tamotsu be him.

"We would have been completely beaten, wouldn't we?" I asked Lee.

"No, that's wrong. My teacher said to me that luck is a part of real strength," Lee told me.

"That Busy-body," I mumbled.

"He's not a busy-body! That was because of my own cowardice! Stop talking about my Sensei that way!" Lee shouted at me. I didn't look at him, instead, I looked at Tenshi.

"You too, if the one you admire is insulted, you become enraged, if the person you admire is important to you…he was the same as Naruto Uzumaki and Ookami no Tenshi Hatake. Only the person that's important to you isn't always good…you don't have to take someone bad as your important person. No…even if you know they're bad a person cannot defeat loneliness," I told him. Lee then realized what I was saying, Tenshi is important to Sasuke, but he chose his admiration for power…he thinks he can only get that from Orochimaru. I felt Tenshi stirring, Lee and I looked at her, she was sweating a lot and panting. Her wound was worse. I looked at Lee. "We have to get her out of here," I said to him. He nodded and grabbed Tamotsu, we started running back to the village. Along the way I heard Tenshi speak.

"Sasuke…don't leave me…please…don't leave me alone," she whimpered. My chest hurt as I heard the pain in her voice. Lee looked at me and saw the hurt expression on my face.

"You care about her a lot, don't you?" Lee asked me. I nodded.

"Then shut up and fight for her, you pansy," I heard a tired voice say. We looked and saw Tamotsu with his golden eyes open. "Right now…I think you're the only one who can…save her from the darkness…that Sasuke left," he panted in pain. I looked at her. She looked beyond exhausted, she shouldn't have went out to battle. "She hasn't been able to sleep due to…her premonitions of Sasuke leaving…it hurts her too much," he told me. I looked at him. "By the looks of it…Sasuke's not coming back…Gaara, I need you to promise me something," he grunted out. I nodded at him to continue. "Keep her safe like Sasuke couldn't…and if you make a promise to her…don't break it like he did," he said to me. He then chuckled. "You'll just become my future chew toy if you do," he joked. I gave a small smile and nodded as Lee chuckled with him. I looked at Tenshi, she was panting more and looked really pale compared to her normal ghostly white complexion. We kept going until we saw two wolves. It was two of Tenshi's summons.

"Big brother!" The young grey wolf called out worried as she saw Tamotsu.

"Hey, little sister, father," Tamotsu greeted weakly. The older brown wolf looked at him with a frown.

"Son, what happened?" The male asked.

"I got my ass kicked, what does it look like, father?" Tamotsu half-heartedly joked giving out a small chuckle. The two other wolves laughed a little with him.

"You and your humor, big brother," she said to him. The female then looked at Tenshi and whimpered. "Her premonitions, they're worse…I can feel it…her heart is breaking," the female said with her ears flattened. Tamotsu's and his father's flattened as well. We all ran to the village and got her to the hospital. I learned that Tamotsu's sister was Emi and his father was Hige. Hige was the Second King of Wolves under King Masanori.

"I saw retrieve Lady Hokage," Hige told us before running off. My siblings met up with me in the waiting area after dropping Shikamaru, Kiba, and Akamaru off. I was sitting down bouncing my knee anxiously as Lady Tsunade worked on Tenshi and the others, my mind just kept wondering to Tenshi though, I hope that she's alright. I felt a hand on my shoulder and stopped bouncing my knee as I looked up to see a concerned Temari.

"Gaara, how bad was she?" She asked me. I let out a shake breath and told her about the battle along with Tenshi's premonitions. When I was done, Kankuro and Temari were shocked. "Gaara, I'm so sorry…Tenshi will be okay, we all know how strong she is, you just have to have faith in her," Temari encouraged me softly. I sighed and nodded as Kankuro patted my other shoulder.

"But how will we tell her that Sasuke most likely isn't coming back?" He asked us. We all sighed this time. I only had an idea.

"She'll hear it from the two people she cares about the most…her best friend, Naruto…or her father, Kakashi," I told them as I stood up to look out the window. "All we can do…is be there and support her like good friends should," I said to them. They both stood on either side of me and nodded.

"You know we will, Gaara," Kankuro said to me.

"She's like a little sister to us, she's going to need as much support as she can from this," Temari agreed. I nodded and saw Lady Tsunade walk out. She looked at me and gave me a soft smile.

"She'll be alright now, as will Tamotsu. They're resting right now but you can go see them," she told us. As my siblings went ahead of me, Lady Tsunade stopped me by my shoulder. "Gaara, I know you have some sort of feelings for Tenshi," she said to me. I blushed and was about to protest but she stopped me by lifting her hand up. "I saw the way you looked at her when you brought her in. Gaara, just promise me you won't hurt her…after an ordeal like this…I'll be surprised if she doesn't close herself off from everyone. She's going to need a lot of love and support she can get," she said to me. I nodded and looked down. "She told me about your friendship from when you were kids and how you and she are so much alike. You were her first friend, so I trust you'll take good care of her," she said to me. I nodded with more determination.

"I promise, I'll take care of her, like you said…she needs us," I said to her. She nodded and let me leave to see Tenshi. When I got over there, Kankuro went to go find a hotel for us to stay in while Temari visited Shikamaru. I walked up to Tenshi's bed and sat down as I grabbed her hand. I sighed sadly. "Tenshi, I'm so sorry for what you might hear, I hope you don't close your heart out to us…to me," I whispered. I stayed there for what felt like hours. Soon she jolted awake with tears running down in streams, she was shaking and trembling. I pulled her close, resting her head over my heart and started gently rocking us back and forth. "Tenshi, it's okay, you're safe," I cooed in her ear. She started to calm down but still cried.

"Sasuke's not coming back, he fought Naruto and left," she cried. I ran my fingers through her hair to calm her down, I remember watching her mother do this when Tenshi was hurt and cried. She always rested Tenshi's head over her chest so she could listen to her heartbeat, and she ran her fingers through her hair to soothe her.

"Tenshi, I promise, we'll find a way to bring him back. You know Naruto won't stop until he does...and I won't either," I told her. She wrapped her arms around my waist and hugged me as I hugged her closer. I heard the door open and I turned to see a concerned Kankuro. He always did see her as a little sister, of course he would be worried. He gave me silent look that ask if she was okay. I shook my head sadly making him frown more. He sat behind her and rest a comforting hand on her shoulder. She soon fell asleep and I laid her down gently. I heard Kankuro sigh.

"Poor kid, this is really eating her," he said to me. I nodded, he then looked at me. "Are you really going to find every way possible to find him?" He asked me. I nodded with determination.

"I promised her I would and I know Naruto will promise her the same thing," I said to him. He was silent for a moment.

"You care about her more than you let on, brother," he said to me. I was about to protest but he lift a hand up. "Don't bother lying to me, little brother. I can tell and so can Temari. When you look at her, I see that you're hurt because she's in pain physically and emotionally, but I also see love, you love her but don't want to pressure her because of Sasuke," he told me. I looked at him surprised, I then frowned as I looked down and nodded. He placed a hand on my shoulder. "Gaara, you never know what might happen, Sasuke might never come back meaning it was never meant to be for them, but there is also you and her. Maybe you're meant to be, maybe you're not. Just…be careful, the girl I see as a little sister is heartbroken and that hurts me, I don't need a heartbroken little brother too," he said to me. He then left me to think about what he said. Everything he said was right, which is surprising coming him Kankuro. I heard the door open again as I turned to see Tenshi's father, Kakashi. He looked at Tenshi then at me to ask if she was alright, like I did with Kankuro, I shook my head, he sighed.

"Naruto wasn't able to bring Sasuke home, when I found Naruto, he was out cold, pretty beaten up," he told me. I nodded remembering what Tenshi told me.

"I had a feeling. Tenshi said they both fought and Sasuke left," I told him. I saw his fist clench. "I take it you're going to beat him to a pulp when we're able to get him home?" I asked. His eyes narrowed at the wall.

"Pretty dumb question, of course I'm going to beat him up. He broke my daughter's heart, he has to pay the consequences. His pain will be worse for the next few months when Tamotsu gets his paws on him though, he'll be a chew toy for a long time," Kakashi chuckled. I nodded with a smirk.

"The guy deserves it for hurting a girl like Tenshi, she helps him, saves his ass, only to have it thrown back in her face. People may not see it, but she his fragile," I told him. He nodded in agreement.

"All the people see is a Mangetsu prodigy or the Silver Wolf, not the young girl behind the titles, it sickens me that everyone thinks that she doesn't get hurt. I've seen her break down when it comes to holding in her feelings for too long…but she puts on a smile to be strong for everyone," he told me. I nodded sadly. I then heard grumbling and growling as a white wolf walked in.

"Stupid Uchiha…I outta rip his limbs off…make my sister suffer…I outta make sure he can't have kids…little bastard…hope Naruto hurt him good…stupid, arrogant, bastard…wish I could kill him," Tamotsu grumbled under his breath. It was kind of funny to hear him do that and I could see the amusement in Kakashi's eyes.

"You too, huh?" Kakashi asked him. Tamotsu yelped and jumped, when he calmed down, he looked at Kakashi with a growl.

"Don't scare me like that you prick!" He growled. Kakashi chuckled and raised an eye brow.

"Had your mind on how you'll make him suffer, didn't you?" Kakashi asked already knowing the answer. Tamotsu nodded and growled

"I'll make sure he can't walk for the next five years, I'll make sure he can't handle a weapon or do any Jutsus for the another five years, and I'll absolutely make sure he can't revive his damn clan forever!" Tamotsu growled. I heard a chuckle beside me, I looked to see Hige who was now slightly small than his normal eight feet, he was about Tamotsu's height.

"Calm down, son. You'll tempt me into do the same thing," Hige half-heartedly joked. Tamotsu chuckled.

"I wouldn't mind the help, old man. Just make sure to see if mother, Kouga, and Emi want to join in as well," he told him. Hige nodded with a huge wolfish grin.

"No problem, we'll all take joy in it for making our favorite pack member suffer," Hige told him. We all nodded.

"Just save some room for me, it's my daughter he hurt anyway," Kakashi told them.

"Hey, you get the first suffer session with him," Tamotsu told him. He then looked at me. "You can make him suffer next," he said to me. I raised an eyebrow. They all rolled their eyes. "You like the girl don't you?" Tamotsu asked me. I blink while a small blush made it to my cheeks. I gave a small nod. "Then you get to help in making him suffer," he told me. I gave a smirk and nodded.

"Don't forget to count us in," I heard a voice say. We all turned to see Temari, Kankuro, Lee, Choji, and Shikamaru. "Oh yeah, Kiba, Akamaru, and Neji want in too no doubt," Shikamaru smirked. We all smirked and nodded. I saw Temari clench her fist and grit her teeth.

"Messing with a girl's heart…he deserves to die for it," she growled. We all shuddered…girls can be scary when they want to be. We all looked at Tenshi and I saw Temari smirk. "No doubt she'll give him a good punch with her amazing strength," she told us. We all nodded in agreement. I then remembered when we were kids, when this one kid kept bullying me.

FLASHBACK –Ten years ago-

I was playing with Tenshi when some boys ran up, they all smiled at Tenshi but glared at me. I looked down with a frown which Tenshi saw, she frowned and grabbed my hand comfortingly.

"Hey, Tenshi, you want to come hang out with us?" One boy asked. She gave a small smile.

"No thanks, I'm playing with Gaara, maybe next time," she said to them. They were all taken back with that statement.

"You want to play with that monster?! Are you crazy?! You'll get yourself killed!" Another yelled at her. I heard a small growl. She stood up and pulled my behind her.

"If he's a monster than so am I," she said to him. She then did hand signs. "Moon Style: Strength of the Beast!" She shouted. Her fist glowed white and she punched on of the kids making him fly a few feet away. "If I ever hear you call my friend a monster again, you will have to deal with me," she told them calmly. They all nodded and ran away. I was amazed at her strength…and she could do Jutsus already?! She looked at me with a worried look. "Are you okay, Gaara?" She asked me. I hugged her and she hugged me back.

"They're right," I told her. She pulled back and shook her head.

"No, they're not. You're not a monster, Sand Bear, you're my best friend. Besides, if you're a monster than so am I," she told me. I then remembered that she's the holder of the Ten Tails.

"You can't be a monster, your incapable of it, you're too nice to be a monster," I told her. She smiled at me.

"So are you! You just don't see it," she told me. I couldn't help but blush and give her a shy smile. She held a hand out for me to take. "Come on, I'll see if mom will let Tamotsu and Mamoru play with us," she said to me. I nodded and took her hand. I'm glad to have a friend like her.

FLASHBACK END

"I'm really not looking forward to her waking up," I heard Kakashi say. I looked at him with a questioning look. He sighed. "When her village was massacred, I brought her here and learned she was my daughter, for the first two years, she was angry and sad. She didn't even believe she was my daughter, she thought I wouldn't love her because she was a Jinjuriki. I proved that she was wrong and she accepted it, when I brought her to eh academy…she slowly got better because of two people, her two best friends, Naruto and Sasuke. Sure her other friends helped her, but it was mostly Sasuke and Naruto's impact on her. Naruto knew what she went through being a Jinjuriki, and Sasuke knew how it felt to lose family," he told me. I understood right then and there. I remember hearing of the massacre, even my father was upset about it.

FLASHBACK –Seven Years ago-

My siblings and I were in father's office when an Anbu came in. Father stood up from his desk and looked at the ninja.

"What is it?" He asked him.

"I'm afraid Mangetsu Village has been massacred, there are no survivors," the Anbu said. Our eyes widened…no Tenshi can't be dead! I looked at Temari and Kankuro, they were thinking the same thing.

"What about the Mangetsukage and her daughters?" Father asked.

"We found the bodies of the Mangetsukage and her youngest daughter, but her eldest was not found, Lord Kazekage," he told him. My father's eyes widened, he sat down as his face became saddened. I felt tears in my eyes as Temari was crying, Kankuro pulled us to him to comfort us as he had tears in his eyes as well, I hugged the teddy bear that Tenshi gave me close to me. Tenshi…please be alright.

FLASHBACK

I was relieved when I learned who the silver haired girl was when we first met her team. I looked at Temari and Kankuro, they were thinking the same thing. I looked at Tenshi's neck to see a choker on her. I just noticed the necklace, why didn't I see it before. I heard a sigh.

"Sasuke gave that to her before he left," I heard Shikamaru say. I picked up the jeweled piece that hung from the white velvet and felt an engraving on the back. I turned it to see that it said 'I love you, Angel'. I placed the necklace down and growled.

"If you love her, then way leave, you idiot?" I quietly asked him. Kakashi placed a hand on my shoulder.

"What is it, Gaara?" He asked me. I sighed.

"Her necklace has an engraving on the back, it reads 'I love you, Angel' on it," I told them. I heard gasps of surprise. Now they all thought the same thing; why love her if you were going to leave her?
