This chapter is a bit violent. First line especially just to warn anyone. I own nothing, just my mind. I have a horrible habit of not being inspired and then one night I am and I stay up writing until 6 am.. And I have to be up soon.. Oops. Worth it tho. Yeah, it's always darkest before the dawn. Just keep that in mind for the next couple chapters.. Thank you btw, you're all incredible. Anyways, here you go..

"Jane?"

Maura watched as tears overflowed the woman in front of her, wondering what made the brunette crumble she stepped forward, just enough to fully comprehend what was displayed. Feeling herself start to fall to pieces, she could feel Jane's pain as well as her own. Protectively, she wrapped herself around her lover as best as she could. Together they trembled in each other's embrace as Jane gripped Maura's shoulder blades and in return, Maura held onto her tighter.

"Jane, I know you're worried about me, but I want you to know I'm fine. I am not being hurt in any way, I just went away to visit a friend and foolishly forgot to let anyone know due to my spontaneity." Clearly visible marks were on the woman, Jane's brows furrowed at the sight and obvious state the woman was being kept in and lies someone was making her say. "I'm visiting a good friend and they desperately wants to see you. Please come to–" Nearly jumping out of the embrace, she scrambled to find a sticky pad to write down the address.

"Please do come alone. There doesn't seem to be enough room for more than one. And Jane, easter might include lots-a yardsales." Forced laughter came abruptly.

Confused at the words her mother spoke, she quickly snapped out of her daze when another voice came into the video.

"Enough!" An altered voice yelled.

Moving the camera to the side and losing sight of Angela, footsteps were heard before a loud slap. The older woman was struck and made a sudden cry of pain.

"You hear that, Janie?" Emily spoke mockingly, even with the deepened voice you could hear it. "You not being here." She paused momentarily. "Well, that's basically forcing me to take out all my frustration out on your fragile mother. Listen, I know she said she wasn't being hurt, but it was too tempting not to make her say that, you know? It's funny, truly."

Jane couldn't pry her eyes from the screen, attempting to catch something. Anything that could benefit her to help get her mother out from whoever was behind this. Watching intently behind her, Maura stood.

"Every. Single. Moment that you aren't here is another I could be.. let's see, reconstructing your dear mother. I'm turning her into art. Actually, I'm simply preparing her for that. Apologies to you because you wont be able to see that masterpiece. The story behind it though, now that– that will be fascinating. Something more enchanting and impeccable than she'd ever be."

Emily pulled out a scalpel and as soon as Angela saw she tried to back away but didn't get far before she made a slash across her arm. Not being able to silently deal with the agonizing pain she screeched.

"Ma!?" Nearly flying out of her chair and now getting everyones unnoticed attention, Jane wanted to kill the bastard behind this.

Maura only wrapped her arms around Jane's waist and held onto her from behind as tears overflowed them both.

"Your mother is counting on you, Jane. The more time you take, the more pain she has to endure. Her blood is on your hands. Be here before dusk. Make sure you come alone. We'll kill anyone else that joins you."

Maura released her hold on the detective with one hand and quickly reached for her cell phone, eager to get ahold of Frost and Korsak for help.

"Tell her you're fine, Angela." The older woman glared as if she wished to refuse but she knew Jane would be at the receiving end of that oblivion.

"I'm fine, I'm going to be okay, Janie."

"Don't be so hopeful now, dear." Laughing at the optimism she heard.

Angela began to speak but was slapped before she could even utter a word. Jane flinched at the noise, clenching her hands.

"Did I say you could speak? No, so you keep your mouth closed. Understood?" She nodded. "Good girl."

"Alright, well that must be all for now. Hope to see you soon."

And with that the video ended.

Jane sank down into her chair bewildered and felt defeated before she needed to get herself together.

"Korsak and Frost are on their way back." Turning the chair, Maura knelt down between Jane's legs, looking up at her girlfriend. "Hey, we're going to get her back, okay? She's going to be okay, we're going to get to her in time." Jane only nodded as she covered her face.

"Still didn't get ahold of Frankie?"

"Frost, can you track his phone?"

"Yeah, give me a second."

"It's says he's on the corner of 86th and Hemming."

"Okay, let's go check it out." Grabbing her jacket off her chair she was walking out before a hand softly grabbed her arm.

"Let me come along."

"Absolutely not. Korsak needs you here anyways." She spoke up louder so he would hear, "don't you, Korsak?"

"What?" She gave him a death glare he couldn't shoot down. "Yeah, I believe I do."

"See, he needs you."

She rubbed both of Maura's arms before pulling her close and hugging her. "I'll be fine, Maur. We're just going to figure out why Frankie isn't answering, okay? We'll be back."

Skeptical of the new public affection she decided not to hold back and kissed Maura with every emotion she had for the woman in front of her. After a few coughs and disturbances they both came out of their brief moment of serenity. They noticed everyone's goggly eyes but didn't seem to care.

"I love you, Maur."

"And I love you."

Offering that warm smile Dr. Isles did, in return she caught a glimpse of hopefulness in Janes eyes.

"Please come back to me."

"I will."

With that Rizzoli turned and started to walk and Frost caught up to her quickly.

"So.. You and Dr. Isles are a thing now?"

"Oh shut up." She playfully hit his arm before pressing the down button for the elevator.

"That's his car, right there!" She pointed.

Frost turned and parked in front of Frankie's car. Before he even came to a halt she already had her seatbelt off and was halfway out the door.

"Keys are here. Here's his phone. No sign of force. He wouldn't leave those here, though." She searched around carefully and saw his gun on the floor of the passenger side.

"Goddammit! They took him!"

Closing the drivers door with great force, she kicked it in not realizing her strength before winding herself down to the road, her back against his car. Frost looked around before joining her on the concrete.

"Jane–" he tried to talk before she interrupted.

"Please, don't. Please just don't."

He'd never seen her like this. So uncontrolled, so raw; vulnerable. He was so used to seeing her strong and calculated, determined and fearless. He wrapped his arms around her frame and she let herself be held as she leaned on his shoulder. As she began to sob be only held tighter.

Abruptly two ambulances came to a stop blocking a view in front of them. They both went for their guns but we're quickly surrounded. Ordered to drop their weapons but refused to, two people with guns kept them pointed. Unaware of the other behind them, Frost got injected first. Jane tried to warn him but it happened too fast. As she worried about him another came from the side and injected her as she shot one of the people standing in front of her. They tried to fight off the effects but lost consciousness before they could fight their way out.

I love cliffhangers. Especially when I know what's gonna happen. Ahh, don't you? Hahaha please don't hate me. Mm please review if you'd like, I'd love to hear what you think. I'm thinking death soon.. maybe.. And I think there's going to be like 5 chapters left before I finish this. (With alternative endings possibly.) Quite bizarre honestly. Thank you all for reading :)
