"Just shut up and take me to bed" Rose grumbled.

"You did it mate" Leo grinned as he sat next to Scorpius the following evening for their graduation ceremony.

"I know. It's weird" Scorpius agreed. "We've finished school"

"I meant that you did it this morning, you know, all those games and food"

"That was all Rose really" Scorpius grinned. "Now we start on our stuff" he said as McGonagall began her speech. After McGonagall, Professor Longbottom did his speech and handed out the graduation certificates to the gryffindors. Rose was one of the last people called. Scorpius have her a thumbs up as she slowly went up the steps, as he could see her shaking quite a lot. She ago him a withering glare before plastering on a smile and shaking Longbottom's hand. She then took her seat next to Al. They sat patiently through the other two houses, paid sharp attention to Professor Parkinson's speech, as she heeded a waning that she would charm peoples hair different colours if they didn't listen (Scorpius glanced at Rose as Parkinson said that, knowing exactly who she had gotten that idea off of). He then stood and followed Leo on to the raised platform to receive his certificate.

"Congratulations, Scorpius" Parkinson smiled. "You've finished Hogwarts"

"Thank you, professor" he grinned. "But I'm not finished here yet, I'm back in September"

"I look forward to seeing you, Professor Malfoy" she said, ushering him away to present the next student with their certificate. Scorpius hovered at the end of the stage, and was shortly joined by Rose.

"You ready for this?" She said, slipping her hand into his.

"You're shaking" he commented, giving her hand a squeeze, "I don't think you have a right to ask me that when you're obviously not ready yourself" he bent down an kissed her on the forehead. Rose closed her eyes, the worry lines still etched across her face.

"What if I mess up?"

"Everyone will laugh and you'll see the funny side of it" Scorpius smiled. "But you won't mess up, so stop worrying. Plus everyone will forget your speech when they hear mine" he gave her a wink. Just at that moment, professor Parkinson finished presenting the Slytherin awards. Scorpius gave Rose's hand a squeeze, then led her onto the stage, standing next to her. He gave her a hug, then took a step back.

"Good evening" Rose said, staring out into the crowd of students. "I hope that you have all enjoyed your final day at Hogwarts" She smiled as all the students clapped and cheered. "You've got two speeches, then you're all clear, I promise" she laughed.

"What a journey these last 7 years have been" she said. "I've watched every one of you get grow up, getting more mature and taller every year. Especially this year, which the whole issue of me being under 3ft tall for the majority of 7th year." Rose shrugged with a smile. The year smirked and giggled in front of her. "I'd like to invite you to look down memory lane for a minute. Think back to that first time you boarded the Hogwarts express, eager to learn magic, excited about what Hogwarts would bring. Think back to the sorting, that battered hat being placed on you head and revealing your true character to the world. Seeing your common room for the first time. Your first lesson with Professor Parkinson. First Hogsmeade trip, trundling down to the village all excited that you finally had some freedom" Rose hurled memories at the students. Already she could see some tears forming.

"And what about the memories you'll take of this year? Maybe you'll remember the countless medical disasters we've had. I say we, referring to the 7th years, but in all honesty, most of those disasters have been the two students who were meant to stay our of trouble" she gave a glare at Scorpius, who grinned and waved back. Everyone laughed. "But maybe you'll remember the time that someone, *cough* Lorcan and Lysander, turned Mrs Norris the Third orange for a week before Filch figured how to fix it. Or the many parties where many of us downed too many drinks and ended up passed out somewhere unknown in the castle. But most importantly, I ask you to remember the friends you have made, within your houses, in other houses, in other years. These are the people that you should never forget. Some of these extraordinary friendships have gone through the works, with fall outs and duels and in some cases, even a bout of having the friend turned into a toddler" she grinned. "I hope that you have all enjoyed your time at Hogwarts, and will cherish the memories that you have each made. I wish everyone the best of luck in the non-Hogarts working world, and the best of luck for your NEWT results in a few months time. You've all become such wonderful people, and now, I hand over to one of these beautiful people, your Head Boy, Scorpius Malfoy."

Scorpius waited for a minute as the 7th year clapped and shouted for Rose's speech, then took centre stage.

"Well, how can you follow that successfully?" He asked aloud. "Rose has visited your memory banks, so I thought I'd visit your inter student relationships. We have some fine examples of family loyalty in our year, displayed by Albus Potter, no surprises there, and Lorcan an Lysander Scamander. Al, although I didn't particularly like you or acknowledge you before this year, you have shown extremism with protecting your family. And you must have quite a job, with at least 6 other Weasleys and Potters taking over the ginger revolution" he joked. The whole school laughed as his hair turned red. "Not again, really Rose?" He turned around to face her. She just shrugged. "Turns out you've got one more to watch out for, Potter" he smirked. "And the Scamander twins, well, what a pair of destruction we have. Despite their own belief, the pair are not connected telepathically, but they may be magically joined at the hip, as where one goes, the other isn't fair behind. I tried counting the number of things you two blew up whilst here, but it's too many."

"We've also made some cracking friendships, like Rose said. We've had enemies become besties, and even some Lions befriend Snakes. And we've even had some that have flourished from friendship into love. Now, you have exactly 5 minutes left of my speech, and I'm afraid it goes all soft and soppy. I'd like to briefly talk about my own relationship. Rose, This year we've gone through a lot. I've been a parental figure, a friend and a boyfriend. You've been 3ft, watched my head get destroyed, then my leg, you've been comatose and hacked and screamed at a couple of St Mungos staff. But somehow, you've survived the year, sat your exams, and probably still got better results than me. We've had many questions asked, and we've asked many ourselves, and it looks like everyone has got their answers. Except there are one or two questions that haven't been answered yet. But I'm going to ask them now. Please can everyone watch the skies, courtesy of George Weasley!" He said, pointing his wand at the sky, and firing an orange spark. Everyone watched a the first firework exploded into action. Then the letters started forming.

R. O. S. E. W. E. A. S. L. E. Y.

Rose glanced at Scorpius, who was just grinning at her. He pointed upwards.

W. I. L. L. Y. O. U. M.

Everyone gasped.

O. V. E. I. N. W. I. T. H. M. E. ?.

Rose looked at Scorpius, who was fiddling in his pocket or something.

"You got me all excited there" she said, "and yes, I will" she smiled, moving to hug her. Many of their audience awwhed and smiled with them.

"The shows not over yet!" Leo shouted from the crowd. Everyone looked up at the sky to see that the final sentence had formed, burning with a bright orange against the darkening sky.

THEN WILL YOU MARRY ME?
