July 3rd

"So today we can actually start planning your wedding" Lily grinned as she stepped through the fire into Rose and Scorpius' flat.

"It's so exciting!" Rose agreed, hugging her cousin.

"We thought that we'd use our holiday to Majorca as our honeymoon" Scorpius explained as they sat down at their small kitchen table. "It was Rose's idea to save us some money so we don't have to skimp on the wedding" he explained.

"The holiday's booked for the 24th August, so we were thinking have the ceremony on the 23rd?" Rose said, pencilling the date in on the calendar in front of her, "So we have a deadline, we just need to plan it meticulously so we get there in under two months" she smiled at Scorpius.

"So checklist" Lily said, summoning a piece of parchment and a quill, "Venues for the wedding and reception, entertainment, food, drinks, dress, bridesmaids, invitations…anything else?"

"Can't think of any off the top of my head" Scorpius shrugged. "Shall we start with making a list of people to invite? Then we can think about venues to cope with sizes?"

"Good idea" Rose said, grabbing another piece of parchment and starting to frantically scribble down names.

July 5th

Scorpius sat on their double bed writing names on invitations. With nearly 100 people being invited, it was going to take him a while to finish them. He crossed off the first of the Weasley family invitations (number 63) as Rose walked in, sighing as she flopped down on the bed, scattering the papers everywhere. Scorpius quietly flicked his wand to tidy them away before lying down next to his fiancé.

"That bad?"

"Dress shopping was a nightmare" Rose said, cuddling into his side. "Not only did I have to sort the white wonder, I had to sort dresses for Lily, Dom, Lucy, Vic and Molly" she sulked. "We got it sorted though. The shop's going to modify them a bit to be perfect but we should be able to pick them up in a few days."

"So why are we getting married on the quidditch pitch?"

"I know it's probably cliché," Rose grinned. "But that's where this started" she lifted her left hand, indicating the ring, "and that's where I want to become a reality" she beamed.

"That's actually a really cute reason" Scorpius smiled.

"Nah-uh, don't you dare start telling me things are cute, you've got to be my strong man in all of this" Rose giggled as Scorpius puffed his chest out in response to this, and flexed his biceps.

"These not man enough for you?" he said, using a very deep voice.

"Ok fine" Rose laughed. "Oh, I asked your dad and he said it's fine to have the reception at the Manor"

"You did what now?" Scorpius' head whipped around, genuinely surprised.

"The whole manor is perfect" Rose said, fiddling with his hand in her lap. "I remembered it from the Christmas holidays, with the perfect garden where it's always summer, and the ginormous ballroom…it's perfect. Your dad thinks some people might get funny about it, but that's where I want it all really"

"Well in that case we just need to update the invites and then send them on their way!" Scorpius beamed. They really were going to make this work.

2nd August

"RISE AND SHINE!" Lily sung as she marched through the door into Rose's flat.

"Lily, come back in 3 hours' time. It's 7am" Scorpius' groggy yell could be heard muffled from their bedroom. Lily marched across to their bedroom door and flung it wide open. Rose was rubbing her eyes awake as Scorpius lay draped across the bed next to her with his arm wrapped around her, only in boxers.

"Put some clothes on Scorp, my eyes!" Lily shrieked, quickly shutting the door again. She heard him mutter something that sounded like I'll wear whatever I bloody like in my own flat at 7 in the morning at the same time Rose burst out laughing.

"I happen to like having my fiancé dressed in only underpants" she smirked as she came out of their room 15 minutes later, showered and dressed. Lily was sat at their kitchen table drinking a cup of tea. "Actually, I normally prefer him with even fewer clothes..."

"Alright, that's enough mental scarring, I've learnt my lesson not to barge into your room again" Lily scowled into her mug. "So, back on topic, looks like you forgot to set an alarm to get up for our shopping extravaganza today"

"We had a late night" Rose grinned, throwing a wink in Lily's direction.

"Ok, I'm completely damaged" Lily said, throwing both hands up in a salute before standing up. "We're on a mission today to sort out a wedding gift list."

"I don't see why it's such a fuss" Rose shrugged as they walked out the door. "I mean, me and Scorp have been making a list over the last few weeks as to things we would quite like but I just don't get the whole 'ask for self-stirring spatulas and comfy sofas' thing with weddings" she said.

"Put it this way – this will probably be one of the last times you can ask for practically anything, and somebody will give you it" Lily said as they walked along the roadside, heading towards the train station. The plan was to get the muggle train into London and have a proper shopping spree.

"I know, but nana made it out to be a big scary tradition, and that added to the look she gives me and Scorp every time she sees us is a nightmare"

"What look?"

"The look where she is plainly trying to count the number of great grand-children we could provide" Rose laughed. "That's exactly how Scorp phrased it and it just fits nana perfectly"

"Well I hope that I'll be the first to know if there is a little Malfoy-Weasley offspring on the way" Lily grinned.

"Hopefully not yet" Rose smiled. "We want to try get into these new jobs first, and I mean we're only just out of school. It feels right to be getting married but yeah I think kids would be a step too far."

As they were on an early muggle train, they managed to grab a 4-seater table for themselves in the middle of the train. "So we're hitting Prevus first, then Diagon if we have to?"

"Yeah, I think Prevus Walk will be the best place to start" Rose said. "We should be able to scan loads of stuff. Oh, Lils, when we get off can we please go and find an ice-cream parlour? I really fancy one today" she laughed. Lily raised an eyebrow, but shrugged it off.

Prevus Walk was huge. Bigger than either girl had ever imagined. Although they had heard about the other wizarding shopping hotspot in London, they hadn't realised to what extent they had missed out. There was an entire section of the 2 mile stretch of shops dedicated to wedding lists, and so the girls started there. By the early afternoon, they had managed to scan all of the items off of their list onto Rose's wand, which would relay the list directly to the Ministry Marriage Office, who would let people see the list if they requested to. Among the traditional items such as clean-ease cooking pans and cushions, Rose had also put down some other not so traditional things, such as a suitcase each, a pair of diaries that linked to each other and a variety of beanbags to go in their common room at Hogwarts.

After stopping for a brief lunch, they headed over to Diagon Alley, where Rose got the paperwork from Gringotts to set up a joint vault for her and Scorpius, as well as going to collect her dress. Before gawking at herself in the dress for the second time in the shop, Rose was dragged around the other levels of the shop to find shoes, jewellery and make up.

As the sun started to set in the distance, Rose apparated the pair back to her flat, where a more clothed version of her fiancé was slumped on the couch, watching their muggle TV.

"Scorpius Malfoy, stop being a couch potato" Rose smiled, sitting down on his lap. He sat up a bit and curled a hand around her waist as he watched Lily disappear into their bedroom with a suspicious looking bag.

"Is that your dress?" he asked.

"Yes, but the bag won't open until the 23rd so don't bother trying to get a sneak peek" Lily said as she walked back in and sat down next to the couple who were absent mindedly both fiddling with one of the other's body parts. Scorpius was playing with a strand of Rose's hair, whilst she was twiddling his fingers between hers. "Can you two not leave each other alone for two minutes?!"

"No" Scorpius admitted with a smirk.

"Ugh why do I put up with you two" Lily joked.

August 22nd

"Nana I'm terrified" Rose said for the 3rd time as she paced around the sofa in the burrow at 11pm.

"Rosie, dear, it's just a case of the jitters. You've loved that boy for years and it's plain to anyone with eyes that he's loved you for at least that long too" Nana Wealsey said from her armchair across the room. "You have nothing to worry about."

"But what if it doesn't work out?" she said quietly, increasing her pace.

"It will. You've planned this out to perfection, and you're all set. All you have to do I say I do"

"I just hope I don't pass out at the altar" Rose said quietly as she stopped walking. "Thanks Nana for letting us all stay here tonight. I know the others went up to bed a while ago, you didn't need to stay down with me, so I'll let you go to bed now by going up myself" Rose said, making her way towards the rickety stairs.

"Someone had to stay down with you to keep you sane, dear" Molly smiled, flicking her wand to put her knitting away. "Now go and get some sleep."

"Goodnight Nana" Rose said. After making up to the second floor landing, Rose paused outside her bedroom. She wasn't sure that she'd get any sleep tonight, not only because of the wedding worries, but because of the nightmares. She's had no sleep the night before at Nana's, and she was sure the same would happen again tonight. She jumped in fright as someone opened the door from the inside.

"Scorpius what on earth are you doing here?!" Rose whisper-screamed as she shut the door behind them.

"I'll go in the morning, I promise no one will know I was here except Lily" he said. "She owled me earlier asking me to come and just sleep here tonight secretly so that you'd actually get some sleep without nightmares" he explained. Rose was just too tired, so wearily nodded and climbed into the small bed with him.

"Try get some sleep, as who knows how much we'll get tomorrow night" Scorpius smirked, waggling his eyebrows as he wrapped and arm around her.

"You're such a randy git" Rose chuckled quietly as she shut her eyes.

The next day

Rose hummed to herself as she showered. For some reason, all the nerves she had experienced the day before had vanished, and she felt purely excited for the wedding.

"Looks like someone cheered up" Lily grinned when Rose came down for breakfast.

"Shut up" Rose smirked as she pulled up a seat next to her cousin before reaching out for a piece of toast.

"You've got a Malfoy smirk already" Lily laughed. She shut up when Rose gave her a punch on the arm.

"Hungry, Rosie?" Dom asked as Rose reached for her 3rd slice of toast a few minutes later.

"Yeah, for some reason" Rose grinned. "I didn't think I would be able to stomach anything, but it feels like I haven't eaten for days."

After breakfast, Lily, Rose and the other Weasley cousins escaped back upstairs before Nana could force any more toast down their throats. And so began the transformation.

Lily turned into a beauty mastermind, transforming Rose, Dom, Lucy, Vic, Molly and Roxanne into "human goddesses" as she phrased it. After using her wand to turn their hair into elaborate arrangements and using a variety of cosmetic products (both magical and muggle) to primp their faces, Lily let them all twiddle their thumbs for two minutes as she performed her appearance miracles on herself. After carefully painting their nails to match their dresses, the girls sat and gossiped whilst they dried.

"So Rosie" Vic started, "when were you planning to tell everyone that you're pregnant?"
