Hello again! So here is the second oneshot for you. Its actually quite a bit longer than the last which I didn't expect. So I decided to go with Hiro upgrading his suit. frostystuffs suggested something for this oneshot, and I decided to incorporate that into my idea, so I hope you like it.

Worth The Wait

Whatever he'd been working on, it had been cutting into his time with the rest of the team. They were curious, of course, but they were worried for the boys mental state. He'd forbidden anyone from coming into the lab that Hiro now called his own, and whenever they offered a social meet up, he'd decline. What was going on with Hiro? It wasn't surprising that Hiro wanted time to work without distractions, but he'd even refused Baymax entry, and the group was fed up. The only time they saw Hiro now was in his purple suit, which was in many regular intervals because of the crime in the city, but they never talked. It reminded them of when Tadashi had died, Hiro had begun to cut himself off from the world, ignoring comfort and help. Now he'd cut himself off again, and they didn't understand why. What was so important that he couldn't take time off for his friends anymore?

Hiro knew, but he didn't know the effect it had had on the people he called his friends. The days seemed like minutes to him, weeks like hours, but that wasn't his fault, was it? The prodigy would marvel at the work he was creating, too engrossed in what he thought would be beneficial to the team.

As he switched around and replaced tiny wires in his helmet, he'd begin wondering about what he'd have done without them. Would Tadashi still be alive? That question would always send a sickening feeling to his gut. Would Tadashi still be here calling him a knucklehead? Would the brother he loved still be here educating him on how illegal bot fights were? It would cause him to pause as he worked on his upgrades. They were never to blame, it would have happened anyway, right?

Taking some pliers, he cut the long piece of wire a bit shorter and made sure it was the right length for the tech. He then glanced upwards, looking up at the window. It was getting close to dark. Aunt Cass will have a fit if I don't get home for dinner. He thought to himself before getting up from the seat and walking over to another table filled with pieces of tech he'd put together. He scanned the table, rummaging through to find what he was looking for. Perfect. The fourteen year old grinned as he walked quickly over to his helmet again. Sitting back down, he surprised himself with a yawn. It was long and loud, catching him off guard as he rubbed his eyes. Was he really this tried? Hiro admitted he'd been staying up late, but only at the weekends when his Aunt allowed him to stay at the college after hours. But the effect was still weight on his shoulders, he only wished that all of this was worth it.

Hiro forced himself to concentrate with this part. If I just get this done today, I'll test it tomorrow, and maybe I'll have time for the others for once. Maybe. What had it been? A month since having a actual conversation with them? When Hiro thought about it, he was shocked that he'd been working on this for so long.

After all, when he'd started it, he'd figured that it would take a week at the most. But what had started as a simple upgrade had blossomed into so much more. It seemed so simple, it was just a piece of tech that he'd already designed, made a part of his newer tech. But there was always problems, and when he'd been looking at the design of his suit more and more, he'd begun to notice the flaws that he hasn't seen before, and would mentally curse himself for being stupid enough not to notice such a fatal error. He redesigned, and redesigned again when the attempts failed, working to find the perfect solution.

He carefully slipped the metal technology into the space he'd provided in his helmet, fixing the wires to it and heard the buzz as electricity started flashing through it, making the inside of his helmet glow brightly for a brief moment and he knew it was working. Working. After so much trial and error, he'd finally got the result he was looking for, no mini explosions, no electricity short-outs.

Hiro couldn't help it, he threw his hands in the air and shouted. "Yes!" Before quickly silencing himself, it still needed to be his little secret, for now at least. Only until he was sure it was ready, and this success meant it nearly was. So close.

He took one long look at his project, the large smile still evident on his face, before rolling his chair over to his design notes, picking up the one he needed and scribbled down on it, ticking off his helmet as being done. He hadn't seen the need to improve much else of his existing suit though, as his upgrades didn't really need the improvement of his boots, gloves and his existing armour, he just needed to make some more armour for what he was doing.

After checking to see that his helmet actually worked, he was going to do what he saw was essential for his improvement to work. But that was for tomorrow. Today he was done. The boy gave a sigh of relief as he let the smile disappear from his face, getting up and took a glance over at his lab, before turning out the lights and opened the door to the main room. That's when the trouble started.

Almost as soon as he'd walked in, four people came rushing to him, like they were waiting for him to come out. They had been waiting for him to come out.

Gogo, Wasabi and Honey Lemon stood with Fred, who was dressed in one of his usual mascot costumes, though Hiro only liked the suit that he himself had designed for the teen. Hiro started feeling sick as he saw the looks on their faces, hurt, worry, anger, they were the only emotions he could pick out, but why did they feel like that?

"Hey Hiro, tomorrow we're going to go hang out at the Lucky Cat after college if you want to join, if your not to busy." Gogo asked him as she blew a bubble of gum and popped it, saying the last part quite harshly, it surprised Hiro a little, was she angry at him?

He hesitated, before shaking his head. "No, I don't think I can. I've got stuff to do."

"You've always got stuff to do, don't you have time for your friends anymore?" She bit back at him, glowering at the boy.

Hiro was about to talk back at her, but Honey Lemon spoke up before it could get out of hand. "We're just worried about you Hiro, if your going through something, maybe we could help you with it. We're always here for you."

"She's right little dude, you should come tomorrow, maybe tell us what your working on, I'd really like to know, I hope it's something cool, maybe that freeze ray that I'm still asking for?" Fred said hopefully from inside his lizard suit.

At first Hiro was going to just avoid them and walk home, but he was starting to reconsider. He'd have time tomorrow, right? The hard part of his upgrade was done, now he just needed to test it and add the final touches. The boy looked at them, slightly torn, before shrugging and smiled slightly. "Yea, I guess I could do that."

Honey lemon beamed at him, for the first time in ages, he had actually said yes to a social hangout. "That's brilliant! Meet us in here at 1 o'clock, okay?"

"Or we'll have to drag you out of that lab of yours." Gogo said with a smirk, before Hiro nodded and waved slightly to them, rushing out of the front door and gave a sigh of relief. I guess I will have a bit of time tomorrow, it couldn't hurt.

After dinner, Hiro had gone back up to his room. He was sitting on his bed, playing around with Megabot. He might not be using the robot for bot fights anymore, but he liked to play with it to relax, especially when he could freak out Mochi.

"I have noticed a rise in hormone levels, which could indicate that you are having a mood swing."

Hiro was a little surprised, almost falling backwards of the bed when the white robot standing across from him said something. He'd almost forgotten that Baymax was there. The teen looked up at his best friend, shrugging slightly as he turned off Megabot and put it to the side of him. "I guess I am, buddy." Then he paused for a second. "Can I ask you a question?"

Baymax blinked, walking slowly forward towards his patient and tilted his head. "I have a great amount of data on medical information, it is likely that I could help you with whatever question you have."

Hiro laughed slightly. "No Baymax, its a different type of question."

"Then I will do my best to answer it as your friend."

The prodigy heaved a sigh. "Okay, well... The others seem to think that some things wrong with me because I stay in my lab all day, but I'm working on something to help them, and me. I want them to understand that, but I don't want to tell them about what I'm doing yet, its going to be a surprise. What should I do?"

The robot processed what he was saying, searching through his memory data of time spent with Hiro and his friends, combining it with his AI to come up with a reasonable answer. "They care about you, Hiro. They most likely want to know what you are up to so they can help."

Hiro was about to tell Baymax that that wasn't helping, as the gang had already told him, but then he listened to what else the bot had to say. "It would be in your best intentions to tell them soon, but if you still want to keep your work a secret, then maybe you could consider showing them a part of it so they aren't fully aware of what it is, but aren't clueless enough to think you are avoiding them."

That actually wasn't much of a bad idea. Hiro looked at Baymax, getting up and wrapped his arms around the squishy white mass. "Thanks Baymax, I think I'll do that." The head looked down at him, before large robot arms wrapped around him and he was patted on the head.

As soon as he got to college the next day, he was at his lab again, quickly hoping to finish the helmet early so he could show the others a part of his work. He'd taken Baymax's words to heart for once, surprising himself.

Hiro had sealed up the inside of his helmet as soon as he started work, making it look just as it had before, his upgrade was completely hidden. Last night he'd decided he'd show them his helmet, but with the tech hidden, they wouldn't have a clue what he had done to it, until it come the time to show them.

After completing what was essential for the day, he starting work on his testing the technology, to see if it actually worked. Of course, he knew it would work on its own, but he didn't know if it would work when a part of his helmet. The only way to find that out was to test it, and he was excited.

Getting up from his chair, he picked up the headgear and snugly placed it on his head, pressing a button so the dimmed visor slid out to cover his face from view. He took a deep breath. Okay, here we go. Hiro then walked over to a box, picking it out and quickly spilling the contents on the floor. He watched as the small blackness spilled like liquid, though in fact they were just hundreds of tiny robots. Microbots. Hiro stared at them for a minute before tapping the side of his helmet to activate his upgrade, which was none other then a neurotransmitter.

Hiro then quickly concentrated on the microbots, watching excitedly as they started to connect together, the small but powerful magnets slowly began to attract together. The prodigy would have celebrated, if he wasn't trying to keep his concentration. He knew that if you couldn't focus, the microbots wouldn't work.

He knew that they worked, now he had to test them. Hiro thought of something, and the microbots began to move like water, and connecting in the right configuration so that they resembled a hand that waved at him. He smiled, it had been one of his first tests, and one of the first things for him to show at the showcase. The hand floated over to him, and he made the arrangement of microbots fist bump with him, and they scattered onto the floor when it connected. Just as I told them too.

After many preliminary tests to make sure they followed every command, Hiro started on combat skills. Hiro's first intention for the microbots might not have been for combat, but they were now. When he first made his suit, he hadn't really had anything in mind for his skill, so he gave himself magnets in his sneakers, gloves and knee pads so he could stay on Baymax's back while he flew. His microbots where in the hand of the enemy, and they were the only thing he really had. But now he had them back, with Callaghan behind bars.

Hiro hadn't taken any chances after what happened with Callaghan, so he'd spent most of his time improving his neurotransmitter so if any other neurotransmitter was in range, he would always have control of his microbots, along with any other ones that the enemy might have somehow made.

He'd also made it so that he could turn his neurotransmitter off and on by tapping the side of his helmet, though it had to be a light tap, so it wouldn't turn off if he was knocked off Baymax and hit the ground with his helmet or hit the ground some other way. That way he could control the microbots when he knew he could handle it with a clear head, so in the heat of battle the microbots wouldn't get out of control if he lost focus.

He used the microbots as a whip, lashing forward and knocking some stuff off a table, before using the microbots to create a wave that forced the objects back onto the surface, unharmed. He continued working like this for a few hours, getting used to using the microbots as a weapon, even using them to lift himself off of the ground a few meters.

After all of the tests were done, he took his headgear off and allowed himself his celebration. He'd done it, he'd finally done it! He could finally control the microbots while in his suit. But then came the next part of the issue.

After looking over the design of his suit he'd noticed just how unprotected the lower half of his body was, so he'd decided to add some armour to his legs for more protection, but he also had figured that he'd use it storage for his microbots. Small pockets of metal on the back of his legs had strong magnets inside that made them act like microbots, with the small bots being attracted to the insides of them, but only when they weren't being controlled by the neurotransmitter.

He'd realised quite quickly that he'd needed a storage system for his microbots, as they took time to travel long distances, and waiting for them to travel from his house or lab to where ever the fight was wasn't exactly the most effective thing to do. He'd actually decided to install the same storage onto parts of Baymax's suit, as Baymax was much larger, and would be able to carry a lot more microbots than Hiro.

Finishing the last of his leg armour took him the rest of the free day he had, making sure to check the time every now and then so he didn't miss the meet up. He was actually surprised at how quickly it took, so with one hour spare he'd decided to try his full suit of armour on.

Hiro slipped the gloves and chest armour on first, securing them in place before putting on his improved leg armour in addition to his knee pads. After finish his suit with his sneakers, he activated the magnets in his leg pockets and the microbots that were scattered around the room were quickly sucked into the storage, making the boy grin slightly.

He then tapped the side of his helmet, and he threw his hand forward so that the microbots shot forward, rushing out of the storage as a whip that cracked and almost broke his chair, but he didn't care about that. He thought about what he had thought he'd do today, and as he looked his suit over, he realised it was completely done, not like he'd thought it would have taken at least a few days to calibrate it properly. But it was done. Finally.

He had planned on just showing the team his helmet, but now? Now that it was completely done, why did he need to hide it? Grinning, Hiro decide he'd keep his armour on, and opened his window, the microbots rushing beneath his feet as he jumped out and he was quickly being moved across the outside ground by the microbots. Hiro was going to his house to get Baymax, but he was also carrying something with him, a few red plates of armour for the white robot when he got there.

The microbots had moved him quite quickly, much to his surprise, and had moved across the building tops so he didn't get much attention, Big Hero 6 might have been quite a new team, the fight with Yokai only being 2 months ago, but the public would still recognise him in his signature suit, and he didn't want to get swarmed by fans.

The bots had moved him up to the window, which he quickly opened and slid in, tapping his headgear and the microbots were pulled back into their storage. Hiro glanced around, taking off his helmet and placing Baymax's new pieces of armour on the bed, looking over at the charging station where Hiro would always deactivate Baymax when he went to bed. Hiro picked the armour up again along with his helmet, dragging the charging station behind him before heading to the garage where he kept Baymax's armour, along with some of his old tech and 3D printer, he'd moved most of his computers to his lab.

Placing his helmet back his head and putting the armour on a table, he let go of the charging station and said "Ow." He hadn't had much time to change the activation codeword, but he honestly didn't want to. He didn't want to change everything about Tadashi's own creation.

Once the robot had re-inflated, it looked at Hiro, blinking. "Hello, Hiro. You still have time in college yet, do you need my assistance in any way? Have you hurt yourself?"

Hiro smirked. "No, I'm fine Baymax, but I need your help with something. Are you ready for your armour?"

"I have not heard of any criminal activity today, is it time for our daily flight?"

"This is something totally different. Can you contact the others for me and tell them to meet us at Fred's mansion?"

Baymax paused for a second as he did as Hiro said, before tilting his head at the boy. "Your friends have been contacted."

"Thanks buddy, come on, we need to hurry and get your armour on. I've got a big surprise for you and them."

"Does this mean that you have follow my suggestion from yesterday?"

"Yea, I guess. But I think I'm going to completely reveal it all, I've finished earlier than I expected."

Baymax nodded before walking over to where Hiro kept his armour, but Hiro stopped him. "Before we get your old stuff on, I have a bit of new armour for you to try on."

The robot blinked, but allowed Hiro to fit him with some odd looking armour to his shoulders and legs. Perfect fit. He then proceeded to put Baymax's older armour on. Looking at the healthcare bot that was ready for battle. Hiro grinned, before running over to a large box he had on one of the tables. One of the reasons he hadn't moved his 3D printer was because he wanted to be able to create more microbots at home when he wasn't able to at his lab, and he'd made quite a lot at home, and he walked over to Baymax with the box, almost too heavy for him to lift, but the weight lessened as he got near Baymax, the magnets in the storage systems on Baymax's armour seemed to work, with the microbots quickly being dragged from the box to the pockets till it was empty, and Hiro threw it on the floor.

Baymax watched as this unfolded in front of him, looking at Hiro. "Aren't these your tiny robots the masked man used?"

Hiro smiled at Baymax, showing his teeth. "Yep, but this time I'll be the one using them. I just have some magnetic storage pouches on your armour so you can carry some around with you in battle." Hiro then ran over to Baymax and climbed onto his back, the magnets in his armour reacted differently from the ones in the pouches, so luckily he could still stick to the robots back without interference.

Gogo, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Fred knew what he meant by 'Fred's mansion', and they hated it, even Fred himself. That was basically Hiro's codeword for training, as they only ever did training in the outside grounds of the mansion. But they all decided they'd go, after all it was training, not a real fight, and they could at least try to talk to Hiro there. The four got their armour on quickly, heading for the mansion as fast as they could.

When they first arrived, they immediately headed for the outside grounds, where they always met up for training. And what they found wasn't what they expected. Hiro and Baymax was there, but Hiro had definitely changed his suit in some way, as the lower half of his body had changed drastically, instead of just knee caps he had armour spread across the lower and upper halves of his legs, which looked like it would protect him a lot more.

As they approached the boy and his robot, Hiro spoke out before they could argue with him. "Look, I didn't call you here for training." He sighed. "I realise the past month has been a bit chaotic, but now that coming to an end. I finished my project earlier than expected, and you can probably see what it is."

Gogo looked at him, unimpressed. "It took you a month to make some leg armour? You are a genius, that should have took you less than a day."

Fred looked at him, a little disappointed. "So no freeze ray? Not at all?" He looked around at them all. "Couldn't someone at least make me an invisible sandwich!"

Wasabi seemed like the only one on his side. "Well at least he's giving himself better protection." Then he thought about what he said. "Wait, could you make me some more armour? I need some protection for my legs too."

Honey Lemon seemed like the only one who didn't speak, like she didn't know what to say.

Hiro loved their reactions, so he laughed. "No, no. I don't mean the new armour, I mean this." And with that, he tapped the side of his helmet and the swarm of microbots appeared from behind him, but he leaved Baymax's supply where they were, for now anyway. The team stared at him in awe, and somewhat terror, though that quickly faded.

The microbots lifted him up a few meters and he grinned at him. "Would this take a less than a day to make?" The bots moved him over to the three college students and mascot with Baymax walked slowly behind. Hiro commanded the microbots to move him down to them and they parted away from him, ready for the next command.

"Your probably a bit shocked, but honestly, why wouldn't I use them again? They're my microbots, and Yokai is gone. Better put them to good use." He pointed to his helmet. "I implanted a neurotransmitter in my helmet, but a much more powerful one so only I can control the microbots, so no villain thinking he can use them will be able to. And my leg armour isn't just for protection, its for storage as well. I've also got some stortage on Baymax as well, so I can carry more as well."

Gogo didn't seem too impressed still, though she looked like she wasn't expecting microbots. "I guess... I should have expected this. Well done brainiac."

Fred had taken his top hatch off so they could see his face. "Sweet! I guess that is pretty cool. You know what you need to make next? Freeze ray... No, actually, freeze breath! So I can breath fire and melt things, and breath ice and freeze things." Hiro and the others looked at Fred a bit weirdly, but shrugged it off as something none of them would make again."

Honey Lemon smiled at Hiro. "Thats amazing Hiro! Though you know you can't shut yourself off from everyone, even if it is for something like this. We care for you, and you can't just push us away."

Hiro looked at her, biting his lip but he shrugged if off. "I guess I'm sorry for that. I promise I won't do it again, okay? Well, I don't think I won't be doing anything like this for a while. Though now I really want to improve some of your armour, maybe Baymax's."

Fred looked at him again. "What about me?"

"Erm... Fred, you know that it would be really difficult to install something like a freeze ray in your suit when you already have a flamethrower." Hiro said with a bit of a frown. But, the teen just kept continuing. "You said difficult, but not impossible!" Come one, lets do it."

"No." Four college students said in unison, so he shut up.

Wasabi looked at Hiro. "Are you sure its even safe? We saw how much damage those things can do."

"Trust me, I've thought of everything. I can shut off the neurotransmitter if I think I won't be able to focus so the microbots don't get out of control. Now come on, I said the reason I called you here wasn't for training. But it doesn't mean we can't do some. Besides, the only time I've had to test the microbots out was a this morning in my lab."

And so they all began to train, with Hiro quickly beginning to mange using his microbots to do combo attacks with the other team mates, and he was sure that the team would get stronger everyday.

So Here we are at the end, and I hope you liked my second oneshot but I'm not to sure about if I did the other characters right (Gogo, Fred, Wasabi and Honey Lemon) But I think Baymax turned out alright, since he's a robot.

So here are the 3 ideas this time, and make sure to pick your favourite in the review and tell me what you thought of this oneshot.

1 - Hiro find out about bot fighting

2 - Blind!Hiro (I've decided that I'll have this as an option, because I want to see if I could write the first chapter as a preview for the story I've been thinking off. So If I write this option it wouldn't really be a oneshot, but the first chapter to a story I will be writing in time.)

3 - Tadashi (This is an option because... I honestly haven't a clue for an idea for the last option, so something about Tadashi. If you have any ideas for what it could be, it would be great to leave them in your review.)
