Harry Potter in an Undead World

Disclaimer: I own nothing!

Chapter 5: Umbrella and Harry's Trunk.

I really have no one to blame but myself. If I had only believed the others then I would have been safe. I would not be in this situation. Imagine me, the person who read anything and everything I could, stuck in this horrible house, with hordes of undead outside. I am unable to floo out to the Leakey Cauldron or to the Three Broomsticks. The floo network has been shut down since the ministry was infected. I am sitting here waiting for the emergency portkey to activate while they are pounding at the kitchen door. I don't know if I will make it out of this house in time, alive or uninfected, but I can hope. I only have another five minutes before it activates but they could be in by then. BANG...BANG...Shit!
I should have listened to the others. I thought I knew everything and I was always right. I always had a plan. Now I realize...I was very, very wrong. Zombies are real and now I am on my own. If I get out of this, I hope I can find the others before it is too late. BANG...MOAN...shuffle...shuffle...BANG! If I don't make it, I hope someone comes here and finds this note. Tell Harry...that I am sorry and that I should never have doubted him. He had never lied to me and it was my own arrogance that caused our falling out. BANG...CREAK...BANG...GROAN! I hope he makes it. I hope the others are safe. Please forgive me. The pounding is getting louder now, I think the made it into the house. Who could have thought that this would happen? My parents turned not ten minutes after we got here, and I have been stuck in this stupid kitchen ever since. Three more minutes, but I think it will be too late. I can't shoot my parents, since I haven't a gun and fire doesn't always work. The kitchen door looks like it will buckle anytime now, and several sets of hands are poking through. The shuffling and the moaning are driving me insane. The smell has nearly knocked me senseless, and I have already expelled everything from my system. They are almost through the door...I'm sorry Harry. I hope to see you again. One more minute...
CRASH...SHIT! SHIT! The door gave way. At least there aren't any runners...30 seconds...No. NO! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! Whoosh.

The scientists were giddy. They had something new to explore and experiment with. A new life for...It made anyone who came in contacts with it sick with flu like systems, but they could be cured if they received antibiotics and lots of fluids. However, if they did not then they would die after about 15 hours and they would reanimate. The dead would get up and walk and hunger; hunger for flesh. They would attack and kill anyone they came n contact with. If they just bit you, you would turn in about one hour, if they killed you then you would turn in about 5 to 15 minutes.
Already they had about five people infected from bites, six that were killed, and one original infected. Agent M was their first casualty.

"Here is the data and samples. Everything should be here. No problems with obtaining and transport." he said.
"Thank you agent. However, we need to quarantine you just to be safe. We have an unknown substance we are dealing with and we would like to make sure nothing gets past us. So if you would, please head to the quarantine area in sub-basement level 15." The security guard stated.
"Understood. I doubt anything will happen, but I understand the protocol." Marvin Wilson said as he started for the elevator. Once he reached the elevator, he pushed the SB button and waited for it to arrive. No one was in the general area, except security, so there wasn't a chance that he could contaminate anyone. The door opened and he stepped inside. Immediately the door closed and he was sprayed down with a disinfectant.
"Please remove all clothing from your person," the mechanical voice said, "Decontamination will continue once you have."
Marvin disrobed and waited for the spray once more. He left his clothes in a pile in a corner and lifted his arms and spread his legs. The disinfectant filled the elevator and he closed his eyes.
"Please remove your contacts," the voice said.
"But I won't be able to see." he said.
"Glasses will be provide for you upon exit. Remove them or you will not leave this elevator."
Marvin removed his contacts and waited for the elevator to stop.
"Thank you for your cooperation. Please exit the elevator and put on the clothes provided and head to quarantine area three," the voice said as the doors opened.
Marvin grabbed the clothes, put them on and then saw the glasses on a table just to the right of the elevator doors. He grabbed them and put them on while he headed towards the third door. Once the elevator door shut, a fire incinerated everything inside, and a quick rinse washed the ashes away. Not that it would do any good, but protocol was protocol.
Once Marvin reached the door he noticed that there was only the bare essentials in the room: a bed, a small table, toilet, sink and one chair. He grabbed the handle and entered the room. When the door shut, he turned around and saw that there wasn't a handle on his side, but there was an intercom. He pressed the button and said, "Agent M reporting from quarantine room 3."
"Please sit down, a team will be there shortly for your exam. If you feel anything weird, or feel ill, please let them know." a man said.
"Great! Just Great!" Marvin thought, "I've been doing this shit for years and nothing has ever happened. Now I get to be a stupid lab rat."
Marvin sat on the bed for what felt like hours, but was only about fifteen minutes, when the door opened and five technicians came in all wearing HAZMAT suits.
"Just relax Marvin. We are only going to give you a physical and ask some questions." one of the people said.
"Fine, Just get on with it. Nothing is going to happen to me. I've been doing this stuff for years. I know how to handle shit like this," he said.
"That maybe all well and good Marvin, but we still need to follow protocol. I'm Dr. Kendall; this is Dr. Smith, Associates Williams and Marks, and Security Officer Johnson. The good doctor and I will be doing the exam. Associate marks will be taking samples and Associate Williams will be asking you the questions and writing down our findings. Officer Johnson is here for our safety."
"Whatever! Just get on with it. I'd like to be out of here soon." he said.
"Good' now... how do you feel?" Williams asked.
"I feel good. A little worried because of all this, but otherwise good."
"How long were you in contact with the package?"
"Just the flight over here. As far as I know, everything was sealed properly."
"Well... It was discovered that the envelope had some biological material in it." Williams said.
"Just great! So how long will I be quarantined?" Marvin asked.
"Well until tomorrow morning. It seems that there is a 15-hour window for someone to succumb to whatever this new disease is. So far you have been exposed for about 7 or 8 hours. We will monitor you for the duration of the night and if nothing happens, then you may go come morning." Williams said.
"I'll let you know how I feel, but currently I am feeling fine." "You have slightly elevated white blood cells, like you are fighting off something. We will be back in about an hour to test you again."
"Fine, but can I have something to eat? I haven't had anything since before I left."
Sure, what would you like?"
"Pitcher of cold water and maybe a steak dinner...make the steak medium rare."
"It will be brought to you shortly."

Everyone gathered up everything and left, about ten minutes later an orderly came with the food, followed closely by a security officer. He placed the food on the small table and quickly left without saying anything. Marvin quickly grabbed a glass of water and slammed it, and then he turned towards his dinner. He cut his steak up into bite-sized pieces and began to eat. The cameras watched as he devoured the steak, but left everything else untouched.

"I thought his profile said he preferred his meat well done?" Williams said.
"It does." both doctors Kendall and Smith said in unison.
"Looks like he has been infected."
"Yes it does. We should monitor him. We don't want an incident until we can examine what this bacteria is." Dr. Kendall said.
"Post someone around the clock to monitor him. We will know shortly if it is the same as in England." Dr. Smith said.
"I'll take care of it," said associate Marks.

Dr. Kendall and Dr. Smith left the observation room and headed for the lab to further test the new bacteria while the rest settled in for a long wait and watch period.

August 26, 2012; 7:00 pm.
Location: London Grimmauld Place Harry and the gang finally made it back to Number 12 with all their purchases. Everyone gathered in the living room and dropped all the bags on the floor and crashed onto the couches. "Well, that was a very interesting experience," Fred said.
"Yes, I agree. I don't think I want to do the mall again anytime soon," George said.
"Oh, it was lovely," Luna, said dreamily.
"They had a lot of really cool things. I can't believe all the stuff we saw. They have more things than Diagon Alley!" Neville said.
"Well, Harry and I have been telling you lot for years that the muggle world has a lot more stuff than the magical. You just have to open your eyes and take a look around. Technology is so much more advanced than you think it is. Wait until you get into a car or a plane. They go ever so fast, and more than one person can get into them. Planes can carry hundreds of people and cars can take up to seven or eight. Did you know…"
"Hermione!" Harry shouted, "I think they get the idea."
"You know how she gets…" Ron said.
"We know." Everyone said at the same time, while Hermione just looked sheepishly at the floor.
"Ok, who wants to get some dinner? I know I do. Then we can all go into my new trunk, by that time Sirius and Remus should be here. Don't want to explain everything twice." Harry said.
"Dinner sounds lovely," Luna said, "I'm looking forward to seeing what Dobby and Winky have prepared for us. They are the most adorable couple."
"Only you would say that Luna," Neville said.
"Of course."

They headed into the dining room and sat down at the table with Harry at the head. Dobby and Winky came in a few minutes later floating the food behind them and placed it on the table, then sat down with everyone to eat.
"I'm glad that you have Dobby and Winky sitting with us. I was afraid that you would have them eat in the kitchen," Hermione said.
"Since when have I ever treated Dobby and Winky like that? They are part of my family and I treat them like I would treat any of you," Harry said.
"I was just saying…"
"No Hermione, you were almost accusing. You can ask them if you like, but all my elves get treated with respect. I treat everyone the same…well unless you piss me off, then you get treated like a Malfoy."
"Do you think you can not harp on Harry for a bit," Neville said.
"Yeah, give it a rest for a while," Forge said.
"We would all like a nice family dinner without your mothering," Gred said.
"Yes please Hermione. Do be quiet and just eat the lovely dinner that Dobby and Winky made," Luna chastised.
Everyone finally settled down and started to eat, the conversation turned towards Harry's new trunk.
"Harry sirs, Dobby and I's have finished putting everyone's things away in your trunk." "That's great Winky!"
"Do's you needs us to start organizing the trunk? It won't be's difficult. There are still lots of other elves in the trunk to help."
"It can wait until after dinner. We still have our newest purchases to attend to, so it can wait. Just leave the bags in the living room until everyone has seen the trunk. OK"
"We's can do that."
"This is a lovely roast Winky." Luna said.
"Thank you's Miss Luna." Winky said while blushing.
"Yes, this is a wonderful meal." Forge and Gred intoned together.
"Can we prank Padfoot and Moony when they get here?" Forge asked.
"Yes, let's"
"Go ahead guys, I'm sure they are thinking up something of their own." Harry said.
"I don't think that is such a good idea Harry. You know how they get when they think a prank war is going on. Besides at our age…don't you think we should act our age?"
"No, I don't Hermione. I have never had the opportunity to act "my age". I have always had to be more mature than the rest of you. So, I say let's have fun and forget our age."
"But…"
"No Buts. I won't hear it. Just let me be me Hermione."
"Hermione, what did I tell you in Diagon? Harry doesn't need a mother at his age. He just needs his friends." Ron said.
Hermione just looked down and bit her lower lip, thinking that she knew best. Dumbledore had asked her to look after Harry…to watch him, to make sure he never turned dark, to make sure he was always safe and to notify someone if she ever thought he was turning. Well, she would just have to watch and see what happened. She knew what her job had been and always would be concerning Harry, and she would not let anything stand in her way; especially Harry and his new ideas if she could help it.

Suddenly the sound of the floo flaring and several grunts were heard from the entrance hall.
"Get off Moony!"
"Pads! It isn't my fault. You were the one to grab me and enter the floo."
"Just get off. You are hurting my bits!"
"Oh, sorry." Moony said sheepishly.

Snickering could be heard in the dining room, so the Marauders went to investigate. Sirius kicked in the door with wand drawn, while Remus was behind him covering his back. What met their eyes was a sight. Harry was on the floor laughing holding his side, Ron slumped on the table trying to stifle his laughter, Luna looking at the ceiling covering her mouth, Neville ducking under the table, the twins sharing identical evil grins, Hermione looking at everyone like they had lost their minds and the elves just watching the whole affair with small smiles on their faces.
"What?"
"Do you think they know something?" Remus asked.
"I'm sure they do. You can tell, just look at them."
"Ok, you guys spill." Remus demanded.
"Professor Lupin…you see."
"Hermione I have not been your teacher for over a decade. Please stop calling me professor."
"Sorry, habit."
"No worries, so anyone want to explain why you are all laughing?" he asked.
"Ummm…have you looked in a mirror?" Neville said sheepishly.
"What?" both Sirius and Remus said.
"Oh, it is ever so lovely the shade…maybe you could augment it with a hat." Luna said.
At their puzzled looks she conjured a full-length mirror in front of them. "Ahhhh! Ok, who did it? Who was the one that pranked the door?" Sirius said.
"Oh…my…god" Moony said.
They each had long, very long hair. It was well past their waists and the right and left sides were different colors, and they had barrettes and bows throughout. Sirius had lavender and baby blue, while Remus' hair was pink and white. More laughter greeted their ears, as Harry could not stop laughing. He was rolling on the floor and wiping tears out of his eyes.
Suddenly Sirius had an evil look on his face, he raised his wand and pointed it at Harry.
"You's will not be hexing Master Harry!" Dobby said sternly holding up his hands, pointing them at both Sirius and Remus.
"Master Harry has done nothing wrong. He not be the one who pranked you." Winky said moving in front of Harry.
"How do I know you are telling the truth?" Sirius said.
"Master Harry's house elves will never lie. We respects our master's wishes. He has forbidden us from ever lying. We not be like Kreacher!" Winky screamed.
Sirius looked shocked at Winky, he had never seen elves so willing to protect their master like this before. Not even Kreacher was willing to do this much for Regulus.
"Fine, he didn't do it, but who did?" Remus asked warily.
"Ask the two who are one." Dobby said, while not lowering his hands.
"Dobby, Winky…please calm down. Thank you for protecting me. They know now that I didn't do it. They just thought I did because I was laughing so hard."
"Yes Harry." They said together.
"Hey! How come you two are speaking better English?" Ron asked.
"Well, Harry has asked us to try to do better. We are only to speak like normal house elves in public, since most wizards and witches would think us odd for speaking differently than expected." Dobby said.
"We love Harry. He is our friend, and family. We will always do ask he asks. We will always try to act like Harry does and would want us to." Winky said. "We know Harry loves us for who we are, he treats us like we are friends and family. Family sticks together." Dobby said.
Everyone was speechless. Nobody had ever heard house elves talk like that about their master like that before. You could see the love and devotion from both Dobby and Winky in their eyes for Harry. Harry was on the floor blushing, but finally calmed down enough to grab both elves and give them hugs, saying, "Love you too."
Slowly Sirius and Remus turned towards the twins and said, "This is War!"
The twins just inclined their heads and intoned, "Bring it on!"
"Is there somewhere we can hide from this bunch?" Neville asked from behind the table.
"Sure, but lets finish dinner first." Ron said, as he started stuffing food back into his mouth.
"Yes, let's."

"Harry, are we going to look at your trunk tonight?" Neville asked.
"Yes, right after dinner."
"Good…I'm looking forward to seeing your creation and what you did with all your stuff."
"Well I'm curious too. I haven't been in it yet, and the elves have put everything in its proper place."
"What do you mean you haven't been in it yet? I thought you said you ordered it, and the man at the store said you supplied the materials."
"Just what I said Hermione."
"For Merlin's sake Hermione, can we just finish dinner, and then you can interrogate him." Fred said.
Remus and Sirius just looked at the exchanges in puzzlement. It was like they missed something and couldn't quite figure it out.
"Don't worry Padfoot and Moony. You'll see what is going on after we eat." Luna said.
"Ok, if you say so." Sirius said.

Dinner progressed quickly after that and soon everyone was in the living room waiting for Harry to expand his trunk. The couches were filled up and the bags were still lying about. Dobby and Winky went to get the purchases but Harry stopped them.
"Guys, why don't we see what it looks like before you bring the rest of the stuff in. I'm sure you and the rest of the elves did a wonderful job, but I suspect that some of these guys will want to put their own stuff away. Let's wait and see."
"Ok Harry." The elves said together.
Harry took his trunk out of his pocket and placed it on the floor in the middle of the room. He touched his wand to the trunk and it enlarged. He placed his hand on the top of the trunk and it glowed gold and then a soft click was heard. He opened the trunk and turned to the others.
"Ok, here is where we split up. I'll take Ron and Hermione and the rest of you need to figure it out on your own."
"Why?" Sirius asked.
"You'll see." Was all he said and grabbed Ron and Hermione's hand and apperated into the trunk.

(A/N Ok, Here's where the original chapter 4 was going to start. As I said before, I lost both original chapters for 4 and 5 so had to do a massive rewrite.)

Neville, Luna, Gred, Forge, Sirius and Remus all looked at each other and then the trunk. Each one wore a perplexed look on their face, wondering what Harry meant.
Luna walked up to the trunk and looked inside. She saw a set of stairs and started to climb in.
"Where are you going?" Neville asked.
"To meet Harry of course."
"Well it looks."
"Like we have"
"A mystery on our hands."
"Just get in so we can see what he has done with it." Sirius said.
They went down the stairs one by one and found themselves in a large room with the Potter crest on the floor, and three doors. None of the doors were marked, so they decided to take one at a time. "Fred and I will take the door on the left."
"Remus and I will take the door on the Right."
"Looks like we get the middle Luna."
Fred and George walked over to the door on the left, and grabbed the doorknob and turned it. The door swung inward and they slowly walked in. They immediately saw that they were in a basement or a dungeon. Then they heard some heavy breathing before a dwarf came ambling up to them.
"Are you prisoners or guests?" the dwarf asked.
"Guests, definitely guests." Fred said.
"Harry didn't tell us how to get to the main room." George said.
"Damn! Here I was thinking I would actually get some work. Oh well. You tell Mr. Bolt that everything is ready for any prisoners he may come across. Now get out before I change my mind."
"Y…yes sir." They both said and quickly left and shut the door.
They turned to the rest of their group and said, "Definitely NOT that door."
"What's in there?" Remus asked.
"The Dungeon."
"Oh!" Everyone else said.
"Ok, our turn. You ready Remus?"
"Yep."
Remus and Sirius approached the door on the right. Remus grabbed the handle and turned it. The door swung open and they were immediately assaulted with the sounds of a jungle. They heard monkeys, insects, birds and some rather larger animals. They were just about to step inside and look around, but Neville quickly grabbed them and shut the door.
"Hey! What gives?" Sirius said.
"You do not want to go in there just yet."
"Why not?" Remus asked.
"Because you haven't been keyed to the trunk, and if I know Harry he has a lot of protections on the doors and areas. Which means that the jungle is not a nice jungle right now, and did you see the plants. Several of the ones by the door were man eating."
"Great! That just leaves your door. Hope it will let us in." Sirius pouted.
"Let me." Luna said as she walked up to the center door and grabbed the handle. She tried to turn it, but nothing happened. She then put her hand on the door itself and tilted her head to the right and then left. A big smile crept up on her face before she said, "Dumbledork is a MOB." The door glowed blue before it swung open revealing a long hallway.
"Come on everyone." She said as she skipped down the hallway. Neville just followed her and soon the two of them were at the end of the hall. "Did you see the other doors?" Luna asked him.
"Yes I did, but I think Harry has booby trapped several of them. One of them felt like a Dementor. I just scooted by it quickly."
"Well we have to wait for the others here, what is taking them so long?" "Probably exploring the hall and doors, stupid if you ask me. They should know better, as paranoid as Harry is, you would think that they would have just followed us. Give them a few minutes." Neville said. The next minute they heard a girlish scream coming from the other end of the hall and then running feet.
"Hurry! Open the door. Hurry!" Remus screamed down the hall. Luna just shook her head and placed her hand on the door and said, "I solemnly swear I am up to no good." The door glowed gold and swung open revealing a bright waiting room with Harry, Ron and Hermione sitting on a couch talking. She stepped inside along with Neville and waited for the others. The soon came barreling into the room followed by the sound of a very angry roar. Once the last of their group was in the room, Luna shut the door. She turned to the others and asked, "Ok, which one of you was it?" To which three people pointed to Sirius, and he ducked his head.
"I just wanted to see what was behind the Gryffindor colored door. I wasn't expecting a nesting Griffin. Geez" He said while shrugging his shoulders like he did nothing wrong.
"Right…" Neville said.
"Well come on then." Luna said and directed them over to the waiting trio.

Harry, Hermione and Ron landed in the waiting room, and Harry walked over to a very nice leather couch. He sat down and counted to ten, and waited.
"Harry James Potter…what was that for? I thought you were going to let all of us see your trunk? I thought you were going to let all of us in the same way. I don't appreciate being apparated without warning. It sucks. Where are we anyway?"
"First of all, I didn't say that everyone would be going the same way. I did say that you all would be seeing the trunk. Now we are in the waiting room, where we will be waiting for the others."
"But why?"
"Because he doesn't trust you Hermione!" Ron said.
"But…I'm his friend." Hermione whined.
"Yes you are, but he still remembers all the times you when you told all his secrets to Dumbledore or McGonagall. Give it a rest Hermione; you have to earn that kind of trust back. You are still his friend, but not a best friend or a close confidant." Ron said.
"Thanks Mate, couldn't have said it better myself."
"How long do we have to wait for the others?" Hermione asked.
"Not too long…well, it depends on how fast they can think of the passwords."
"Passwords? As in more than one? How many did you put on?"
"Two."
"Ok,"
The three of them sat there for another ten minutes before they heard the door click and open. Luna and Neville stepped through the door and waited. The trio could hear Remus screaming for the others to hurry up, and a gigantic roar. Harry started to snicker.
"What the hell?" Ron asked.
"Just a little safeguard." Harry said "Little! That sounded big to me." Ron said.
"Yes, well it is."
Just then the last four people entered into the waiting room, followed by the roar. Luna quickly shut the door and turned to the others and asked, "Ok, which one of you was it?" To which three people pointed to Sirius, and he ducked his head.
"I just wanted to see what was behind the Gryffindor colored door. I wasn't expecting a nesting Griffin. Jeez" He said while shrugging his shoulders like he did nothing wrong.
"Right…" Neville said.
"Well come on then." Luna said and directed them over to the waiting trio.

Location: Umbrella Corp., Sub-basement level, observation room.

"So has Marvin shown any symptoms other than wanting rarer meat?" Dr. Kendall asked as soon as he entered the room.
"Yes, he seems to be running a fever, and he looks sickly. He hasn't called for help yet, but I suspect he only thinks it is a cold." Williams said.
"Send in Dr. Smith."
Dr. Smith walked down the corridor and entered the room that held Marvin. A security guard and one assistant who had several vials and a syringe followed him. "So, how are you feeling? Better? Worse? Do you need anything?" he asked.
"No, I'm fine." Marvin said, although he didn't feel fine. He felt like shit, and just wanted to sleep. He wondered if he actually came down with whatever this is and if there was a cure. "Well, I feel hot and very tired. My stomach hurts too, so does my head."
"I see. OK, we will just take some samples and then give you some medication." Dr. Smith said.
"Great. Then maybe I can get some sleep."
Smith had the assistant take some blood, swab his mouth and then give him a shot of what he thought was an antibiotic.
"Thanks Doc." Marvin said, as the doctor and everyone else left.
"Do you think he suspects anything?" Williams asked, wile watching from the observation room.
"No. He thinks we are trying to cure him. We gave him the new antigen. Hopefully, we can harvest something. Who knows, it could be useful." Dr Kendall said.
"Well let's hope containment isn't a problem." Williams said.
"We will find out soon enough. We just have to wait a few more hours."
Williams and Dr. Kendall watch the room from safety as other assistants and doctors went in and out of Marvin's room. They watched him get worse, as he hugged the toilet and purged everything he had eaten. They watched as wracking coughs plagued him. They watched as he tried to cool himself down with sink, and lie on the floor. They watched as he crawled back onto the bed and curled into a ball, and thrash around trying to get comfortable. Hours passed and they continued to watch and take notes, until finally Marvin stopped moving. They sent in a team in full suits to gather more data from the corpse, when he sat up and grabbed the assistant who was trying to take blood. He opened his mouth and clamped down on the poor assistant's arm and tore a big chunk out of it. Screaming could be heard and gunshots rang out, but Marvin kept advancing. Big holes were gouged out of his chest, arms and legs from the security guards gun. It didn't stop him. He fell over and then picked himself off the floor and continued his advancement onto the poor assistant. He grabbed the poor man's head and took another bite out of his neck. Blood splattered over Marvin's corpse, and down the assistant's front, and onto the wall. With each heartbeat more blood squirted onto the wall, floor, and the zombie. The doctor rushed to help the victim and he was grabbed and bitten on the arm himself. The security guard went to haul Marvin off the doctor and got bit on the hand. The doctor ran to the intercom and called for help. Meanwhile, Marvin kept attacking the man under him. Several chunks of flesh were now missing from the man's arms, neck, and face. The scene was complete chaos when another team showed up. The doctor was holding a bandage on his arm, the guard was beating Marvin with the butt of his rifle, and all the while Marvin kept eating the poor man. Soon his screams ended, and Marvin turned to the newcomers. He slowly got off the floor and ambled towards the door and fresh meat. The first person he reached was a woman wearing combat Armour. He grabbed her arm and tried to bite it, but couldn't get through the Kevlar guard.
"What the fuck! Get off me!" She screamed as Marvin tried to reach for her face. The smell of sickness, mixed with blood and fear was overwhelming as she stumbled back and fell to the floor, bringing Marvin with her. He didn't have a good hold on her and slammed into the concrete floor shattering his nose and braking teeth. He crawled onto her legs as she scrambled back trying to escape, moaning and dripping blood from him face. He bit down on her calf and tore a huge chunk out and began to eat it.
"Ahhhh! Get him off me!" she screamed. Another guard tried to pull him off and slipped on the bloody floor. He fell on his ass and was stunned momentarily, which lost him precious time, as he was unaware that he was about to become a meal himself. He suddenly felt arms encircle his waist, and a searing pain on his shoulder.
"AHHHHHHHH!" was all that was heard because more shots were fired from the doorway. The third guard that arrived had opened fire on the two zombies. More blood and guts flew around the room, but they did not stop. They kept on eating their victims. The first doctor and guard ran out of the room, and grabbed the third guard and slammed the door shut. They could hear the screams coming from the room as they backed away from the door. "Don't open that door." The doctor said.
"We won't."
"We have to quarantine ourselves," he said pointing to himself, and the security guard who was bitten.
"Copy that. Do you know how to kill those things?"
"No, but we can figure that out later. Right now I need to get locked up in my lab. Maybe I can get some useful data before I turn into one of those things." the doctor said.
"Do whatever you need to, but make sure you pick a lab that has a sample slot so you can get things from the outside." said the uninjured guard.
"Got it."
Williams and Dr. Kendall watched the whole thing happen and then made the decision to head over to the R&D department to tell them they had some very interesting lab rats.

Location: Harry's trunk

"Welcome to the new Potter Manor," Harry said as he spread his arms wide, "as you can see I have a lot of protections placed on my trunk. I did this so I would be totally protected from any type of outside influences. Now that we are all here we can start the tour." Harry turned and started walking towards the second closed door. Everyone followed, glancing at each other, not sure what they would find or what would happen next.
"So, Harry... exactly what are we going to discover in your new place," Remus asked?
"You'll see. Now come on, we need to go through this special door first."
"What is so special about this door? Why would you have extra protections? Why would you need them? Are you going to explain anything? Why do we have to go through all this stuff before we can see anything? How did..." Hermione's rambling was cut off by Ron's hand covering her mouth.
"Enough! Just shut up so we can get through this. If you don't, Harry will have one of the elves transport you out."
Everyone was staring at her with disgust, shaking his or her heads.
"Ok, to continue... this door," Harry said as he pointed to it, "has built in diagnostic spells, which will scan you as you go through it. It will scan for everything I could think of, and everything Luna could think of. This will tell me if you have potions in your system, if you are under any spells (no matter how old), your general health, and if you are sick in anyway."
"Wow, Harry. We are impressed." The twins said. "Thank you," Harry said with a bow, "now... everyone will be going through here, once you have cleared the door, you will be notified of any problems, if you have a clean status we will begin the tour. If you are sick, then off to my infirmary. The door is also enchanted to dispel any trackers, harmful charms, obliviates, and potions." "Very impressive Harry," Luna said.
"I'll go first, then you all can go one at a time. It will only take a minute for it to work. Just do what I do," Harry said as he stepped through the door. It didn't close behind him, so everyone could watch. A bright blue light engulfed him, and then it disappeared. "Clear," a disembodied voice said. Harry stepped to the other side and waited.
Sirius looked around him, when no one moved, he stepped through the door. He was engulfed in the same blue light, "clear," was heard and he stepped through. The process continued with everyone, each taking turns. The twins were clear, so were Luna and Neville. Remus went next, "Clear, Lycan detected. Status...checking database... magical signature authentication... Remus Lupin, Cleared for entry."
"Wow, Harry! Now I'm really impressed. Nice work on the enchantments," Remus said.
Hermione went next, and everyone held his or her breaths. The blue light engulfed her, and then the fun began.
"Nargles detected, confundus detected, wackspurt infestation... checking database... MOB interference detected... enchanted item detected... Decon initiated... enchanted item neutralized... Decon complete...Clear" "Bloody hell! That MOB, if he wasn't dead already, I'd kill him!" Harry roared.
"Calm down pup, we knew he must have done something to her." Sirius said as her placed his hand on Harry's shoulder, giving it a squeeze.
"Remus grab her and make sure she sits down, keep her quiet," Luna said. Remus just nodded, and ushered Hermione to the nearest chair.
"Ron, you're next," Neville said.
Ron stepped into the door, the blue light appeared and then all hell broke loose.
"Loyalty potions detected... magical signature... Greasy Git... obliviates... confundus charms... MOB interference... blabbering humdinger infestation... Decon initiated... virus detected... magical decon complete... virus unknown... recent exposure... recommend quarantine... further testing needed... immediate evacuation to infirmary."
There was a loud pop and then Ron was gone.
"Shit! Ok, follow me... quickly," Harry said as he started running down the hall. Everyone raced behind him and skidded to a halt at the end of the hall. Harry put his hand on a door, it glowed red, and then it opened into the infirmary. He rushed over to Ron who was on one of the beds. Several house elves were already waving their hands at him, some were grabbing potions, and one had Ron's clothes and was heading towards the incinerator.
"What have you discovered? "
"We's not sure, but it is curable. He just needs concentrated antibiotics. Your Ronsies will be fine. Although it is not a known virus, we will have to keep a sample to check later. Must be kept in hazard box," one of the elves said.
"Good, see to it. How long until he can leave?"
"30 minutes."
"Thank you Flower," Harry said.
"What the hell was that? I thought you said that it was just going to check us out, not transport us somewhere! That was not cool," Ron said.
"Well I did say it would transport you here if it found something that wasn't magical in nature."
"Harry... what was all that talking with the blue light and the door?" Sirius asked.
"The blue light was the diagnostic spells working. The voice was Hogwarts speaking, and the door is like the ROR."
"Hogwarts, really Harry. How did you manage that?" Neville asked?
"Easy, I asked Hogwarts herself. She was most happy to come to my home. She left a copy of herself at the castle, and we transferred her to the central ward stone here."
"Only you would think that was easy Harry. No offence, but the rest of us couldn't do that." Remus said. The rest just nodded their heads, all except Hermione, who had an angry look on her face. She quickly schooled her features to a thoughtful look, and then asked, "Did you asked Minerva if you could do that?" "No. I didn't need her permission since I own the castle."
"Well, I think you should have asked. Hogwarts is an icon of our world and it belongs to everyone. Not just one person."
"Winky," Harry called.
"Yes Harry." she said as she popped into the room. "Could you go get the Hogwarts charter for me please?"
"Sure, be right back," she said, then popped out. A minute later she was back and handed Harry the charter, then popped out.
"This is the original charter for Hogwarts," Harry said holding up the small book, "this precedes all laws governing Hogwarts."
"But, what about the governors, the headmaster, the ministry? The laws can't be changed, it says so in Hogwarts: a history."
"Just listen Hermione." Remus said.
Harry cleared his throat and then began reading.
"Hogwarts Charter by Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, Godric Gryffindor, and Salazar Slytherin. Harry open the small book to the first page and continued to read.
"The castle; known as Hogwarts, which is currently owned by us: Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff, do state that; Hogwarts will be governed by the Headmaster/Headmistress so long as they uphold this decree. That all students are to be treated fairly and justly. That no student or descendant or ours, shall be put in mortal danger. That all known magic shall be taught to students. That no one branch of magic of magic shall be deemed unworthy of being taught. That Hogwarts shall not under circumstances be given over to any governing body that does not consist of the Headmaster/Headmistress, the teaching staff and at least one founder. Hogwarts shall be used for schooling of young witches and wizards and any sentient magical being that asks for schooling. No student shall be denied entry to the school because they cannot pay. The cost of the schooling per student shall not exceed 100 galleons per year of schooling. All salaries, equipment, foodstuffs, and necessities for the school shall be paid for from the Hogwarts education vault se up by the founders and shall not be used for anything other than this purpose. Any student that does not have a family shall be given year round quarters within the school. No student shall be returned to an abusive home. Any new developments in the wizarding or mundane societies shall be offered to all students and appropriate teachers shall be hired to teach the new subjects. Students shall be sorted into houses upon entry into the school and be resorted upon their fourth year of education. Any student may be resorted at any time upon request from said student. No student shall be put on display, ridiculed, ostracized or mistreated for any reason, by anyone including staff. If any staff member does, then he or she shall immediately be released from service. Hogwarts shall be used for schooling so long as it is used for this purpose. If it is proven that any descendant/s of the founders has been treated badly by any Headmaster, staff or guest of the school, then the castle shall revert back to the original owners or their descendants. If any of the above stipulations are ignored or if it comes to light that this agreement has been deliberately broken then the castle shall revert back. If any headmaster/headmistress puts the students or the school in danger then the castle shall revert back. The owners will then have total control over the castle, grounds, and the adjoining village. The owner will have control over the schooling and may change or add classes, rules, or staff as they see fit. All aspects of the Hogwarts castle shall answer only to the owner. So we say it, so mote it be."
"As you can see, I am well within my rights as legal owner of Hogwarts castle. Dumbledork did almost all of this to me, and many others, along with Snape's misuse of authority and the ministry's interference. So, please do not act like I am not within my right to do with Hogwarts as I see fit." Harry said.
Hermione and everyone else stood flabbergasted. Not one of them had ever heard, or read the original charter. The only thing they had ever read was in "Hogwarts, A History", and had assumed that what it stated was correct. Hermione couldn't stand it and demanded.
"I want to read it for myself. There is no way that Hogwarts: A History is wrong. I have always read it to check for rules of the school. It can't be wrong."
"Well it is wrong. I have four of the six last remaining copies of the original Hogwarts: A History, which is self-updating. Let me tell you that most of the stuff it has never appeared in the modern versions. What you have been reading is the Ministry's edited version as well as the Headmaster's edited versions. Not one of those is accurate. The rules in those books are all for pureblooded bigots and the so called "Greater Good"!"
"What do you mean"? Remus asked.
"Dumbledork edited the book for his "Greater Good", and put copies in the library. The Ministry edited the book to match pureblood laws and doctrine, and made that the only copy available for sale. Not once did anyone question what was in those copies. I did though. After reading a copy from the library and buying one for myself. Things didn't match. A lot of things didn't match. So in fourth year I went to the ROR and asked the room for an original copy of the book. I got one. When I read it, I realized that everything I had done at school since I arrived went against the charter and rules for the students and classes. I have since removed every fake copy out of the library and left that one instead. When I first checked out my vaults, I found four more copies of H.A.H., and the founder's copies of the original charter and rulebook. I also have an updated list of every subject that should be taught at Hogwarts. Which will be starting this September 1st."
"Wow, looks like you are taking being Lord Hogwarts seriously." Neville said.
"I am."
"Not to put a wrench in your works, but what about the Ministry? Won't those pureblood arses be mad about the changes?" Remus asked.
"Don't care what they think. I won Hogwarts. Not them. It will be used for its original purpose. I have already received the book that lists every sentient magical being in Britain. The letters have already been sent. Minerva should be getting replies by the weekend. Next week the rest of the teachers should be arriving."

"What do you mean the rest of the teachers? How many new classes are there? I thought Sirius and I were the new teachers?"
"You are only two of the new teachers. There will be a total of 30 different classes besides the regular core classes."
"So, 30 more teachers." Ron said.
"No. Sixty teachers. 30 for years 1 to 4 and 30 for 5 to 7. Plus the Apprenticeship and Mastery classes."
"Can we go back to school?" Luna asked.
"Sure, anyone can go back to Hogwarts to take any classes not originally offered when they went."
"Cool, Sign us up." The twins said.
"Me too." Remus and Sirius said together.
"Me three," Neville said.
"Can we see the list of classes?" Luna asked.
"Sure we can check it out once we get out of here, but I thought you guys wanted a tour of my house?" Harry said.
"We do!" Everyone said.
"Good. We only have a few more minutes until Ron can be released. Then we can go back to the entry way to start the tour."
"Master Harry, your Ronsies is now being able to leave." An elf said.
"Thank you Twinkle. Please let me know when the sample is analyzed and we know what it is."
"Yes Harry." She said.

"Ok you lot, follow me." Harry said as he turned and headed to the wall that had two doors on it. One of the doors said exit and the other said emergency. He touched the door that said emergency and it glowed white, before the name changed to first floor. He then opened the door and stepped out Turning to the others he said, "Well, are you coming".

Everyone piled out of the room and to their surprise; they were back in the main hall.
"That is what I call fast." Sirius said.
"This place is so cool." The twins said.
"Hope the tour is just as fun as the hallway." Luna said.
The looks that Luna got ranged from shock to fear, all except Harry who was smiling. He walked over to a map and waited for the rest to come over. Shaking themselves out of the stupor they meandered over to Harry. Luna just skipped and smiled at everyone, like she already knew what was coming.
"Don't tell me that you have more dangerous things in here?" Sirius whined.
"Not really, but you should still be careful about what you touch in some rooms." Harry said. The map was very large, and showed several stories above, and below ground, as well as many areas outside. There was a big red arrow on the map that said, "You are here", like the kind you see in malls.
"As you can see," Harry said pointing to the map, "my home is quite large. There are 5 stories above ground, and 3 below. I have multiple environments outside too. We will begin the tour with the first floor and work our way up to the top floor. Tomorrow we can explore the outside. Now a quick over-view of the outside. I have a lake a forest, dessert, snow, green houses, a quiditch pitch, animal preserve, a garden, a ranch and a jungle. I also have herds of animals of every kind…mundane, and magical and mythical. So, please be carful when you go outside. As long as you are keyed into the wards they won't hurt you. If you rspect them, they will respect you. Now to begin with we will be going down the left hallway and wrapping around the back to the right hallway, then up the stairs. Like I said this place is huge so, please keep together. There is something for everyone to do later, but if we take too long then we can continue tomorrow. Ok. Let's get started."

Harry began walking down the left hallway, with Luna and Neville close behind him as the others just stared at the retreating trio.
"Do you think he was serious about not touching things?" Sirius asked.
"Yes." Remus said.
"Best to follow." Forge said.
"or he will leave us behind." Gred said.
"Come on. It looks like they are waiting at the first door." Ron said as he grabbed Hermione's hand and started down the hall. Everyone else followed and met up with the trio.

"OK, this is the kitchen." Harry said as he opened the door. Everyone was flabbergasted at the sight before them. It looked like a professional che's kitchen complete with modern conviences. Several elves were ulling about cleaning, cooking or putting things away. He closed the door and headed for the next room.
"This is the parlor." He said and opended the door. It was done in tasteful creams, blues, and soft golden woods. He shut the door and went to the next room. He stood in front of the door with a really big smile on his face.
"Now this room is one of my favorites. This room will astound you. There are things in this room that you will never have seen before. Are you ready? May I introduce you to the one and only, extraordinary, studendously enlightening…GAME ROOM," Harry said as he swung the door open and walked inside.

The twins, Sirius, Remus and Ron had to pick their jaws up off the floor as they walked in the room. Luna skipped in and planted herself on a very comfortable couch. Neville walked in and took a good look around. He saw a whole wall of electronic things, a bunch of boxes, a section that looked like books and a bunch of other things he couldn't even recognize. He went over to the couch and sat next to Luna and waited for the explanation he knew was coming. Hermione just walked in and scanned the room and went to sitat a table.
"Now for those of you who are clueless about mundane things…let me introduce you to the right side of the room. I have a large plasma TV, on of every kind of game console with games. One copy of every movie ever made, this includes foreign films. There are also board games, card games, role playing games, dice games, PC games etc. You will also see on the left side of the room a bowling alley, a billiads table, a ping pong table, a pinball machine, and an arcade gme machine. The cabinets around the room hold magical games. So if you feel like exploding snap or gob stones, then feel free to get a set. Any questions?"

This is where Hermione jumped in. "Yes Harry, I do. Well actually several How did you get all the muggle things to work in a magical environment? How is there electricity? How did you get everything? We didn't see you get any packages. How did you put this all together? How…"

Harry just stood there with a grin on his face, then he cleared his throat. "Surge protectors and EMP protected cores. Gold wiring, encased with titanium alloys and rubber tubing connected to a rune array that tranforms ambient magic into electricity. I ordered everything from the internet. The packages were sent to Potter Manor, and the elves helped set it up. Does that answer your questions?"

Hermione just sat there with her mouth open, and then closed it with a snap. Everyone else laughed and were looking around the room.
"Harry... what is that table over there with those... things... on it?" Neville asked as he pointed to the back of the expanded room.

(I had this on my tablet for a while, and finally finished up to where I thought I could leave it to start the next chapter. Hope you all like it. Once again remember that I am writing this on an old android tablet -1.5- so there is bound to be spelling mistakes. SORRY in advance. Please read and review.)
