Hey all I am so sorry that is is sooooo late but I really struggled with this chapter and its honestly crap so I will be posting the next chapter soon to make up for it (Soooo sorry) Also welcome all the new followers my little story has gotten!
Fenris sat there and picked up the red piece of fabric he had been wearing since him and Hawke had gotten together. It was the same red piece of fabric that she wore to cover the marks on her neck. She had stopped wearing it when she began enjoying showing off the marks. He had taken it up then and began wearing it around his wrist.
Hawke had been out of it since her mother died. No one blamed her but she was getting sloppy. He turned in the chair to look at Hawke. She was still sleeping. He didn't know what to do with her. What did you do for someone who watched her younger siblings and mother die.
He stood up as he tied the cloth to his wrist and walked over to Hawke. He squatted down and stroked her cheek. "Hawke it's time to wake up." He watched her eyes slowly open and focus on him. He smiled as she did, she kissed him. "Good morning."
"Good morning." She stretched before sitting up and yawning. She felt Fenris sit next to her and she leaned against him, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Come on I have a surprise for you." He stood up taking her hand.
She followed blinking "I don't even have pants Fenris."
He smiled to himself. "I know."
He took her to the room down stairs, he had asked the dwarfs and elf to take the day off. He stood her in the middle of the room and motioned his hands for her to stay. He then walked to the table and picked up the painting he had found while cleaning out Hawkes basement. It had taken alot for him to convince himself to give her this. He knew though she needed it. He handed her the picture of a younger Leandra.
She held the painting her face blank. She looked at him then the painting and smiled "thank you Fenris."
He panicked when he saw the tears and held her face "I'm sorry I'm no good at this."
"No it's perfect Fenris." She hugged him and kissed his cheek.
He was put off by the the fact she was crying but he didn't say anything. He just held her.
She pulled back and with her free hand wiped the tears from her eyes looking at the painting.
Fenris blocked her attack, but was surprised by her foot hitting his side softly. She smiled at him. He smirked and grabbed her leg throwing her off balance and causing her to fall to the ground.
It had been a while since Hawkes mother died. She was still hurting but she was now functioning like a normal human. Or she would have been if Fenris didn't have to keep making it obvious she would never beat him in hand to hand combat.
She stayed on the ground panting. They had been fighting for at least an hour now and she wasn't used to the physical exercise. She closed her eyes trying to calm the fire in her muscles. Then she felt the familiar touch of Fenris getting down and positioning his body atop of hers and kissed her. She smiled and kissed back wrapping her arms around him. He had been much more...frantic lately when it came to the physical part of there relationship and she figured them still not having sex was to blame.
He of course denied it when she brought it up. She wondered why but didn't push it. She knew there was no point.
She moved her hips against his, lifting her knees so that he was between her legs. He reacted by kissing her harder and placing a hand in her hands, gripping it tightly. She opened her mouth letting his frantic tounge explore her mouth. He growled putting his free hand at the base of her neck, his fingers on her shoulder gripping to keep her in place as he grinded against her.
He quite suddenly stood up and turned away from her leaving her blinking on the floor.
"Fenris...you know it's ok." She sat up and looked at him.
Fenris dropped his shoulders "I know...I am unsure of how I will act..."
Hawke stood up and came behind him and hugged him "hey if your not ready that's fine but don't be afraid around me."
Fenris turned around and faced Hawke smiling. "I sometimes forget you are not as weak as most women." He kissed her on the forehead. "You have been so patient...thank you."
"Well I can't say much, me being a mage can't be exactly easy for you." She gave a small smile.
"And I am a monster who glows in the dark." He smirked chuckling.
Hawke smiled and got onto her toes to kiss him. "Well we better get the day going or Isabella will only be given more ammunition."
Fenris knew she brought it up more to get him out of the conversation. He was aware she found Isabella entertaining. He was glad though she would do so for him.
Hawke giggled slightly as they walked to Fenris house. "I can't believe Anders tried beating Varric at a drinking game."
As much as Fenris hated the abomination. He had to agree with Hawke, the hole scenario had turned out rather entertaining. He had for Hawkes sake tried to be nicer to Anders. He knew it stress her out when anyone in the group fought. Merrill was enough stress.
Hawke would never admit it too anyone but he knew Hawke was tormented when it came to the woman. Hawke hated blood magic, possibly as much as he did, but her need to protect everyone was also very strong. So Merrill being as innocent as she was, but as determined about the use of blood magic as she was, killed Hawke.
Hawke smiled up at him "silver for your thoughts."
Fenris smiled and looked down at her "it was indeed foolish of Anders to think he could win"
"A true match would be Isabella and Varric."
Fenris smirked and opened his door for her, she walked in and headed for his room. He followed behind her, he took his time to appreciate the curve of her ass. How she swayed her hips as she walked.
She headed up the stairs and stopped to look down at him and smiled. "Enjoying the view?"
"I am." He smirked and stepped forward so he was face to face with her and kissed her. He was on the step below hers so there height were more or less the same. He placed his hand on her cheek then slid his hand back and up into her hair holding her there as they kissed. Still holding her head gently he pulled back and smiled "Come on, time for sleep." He took her hand and walked them to his room. There first time would not be a drunk experience, he told himself.
