Found this on my computer and thought I might take it up again, I really liked it. I don't own anything.
Lily woke the next morning as soon as the sun went up, she felt amazing. Marcus was the first boy she ever really kissed, and it had been the most fantastic feeling in the world. Marcus had been really sweet afterwards, stealing kisses every five minute for the rest of the night.
Lily left her bed and laid down in the bed right next to her, besides the sleeping girl.
"Rose, you awake?" Lily whispered in her ear and nudged her with her elbow.
"No." Rosanna grunted and turned around.
"Come on, I really need to talk to you." Lily whispered excitedly.
"Fine, what?" Rosanna turned around again and tried to open her eyes to the bright light.
"I kinda made out with Marcus last night." The girls had gone to bed before Lily got back last night so she hadn't had a chance to tell them yet.
"What!" This made Rosanna wake up fast.
"Shh, you'll wake the others. "
"Yeah, like that's important right now," Rosanna scoffed, "What happened?"
That question was all Lily needed to tell every detail of the date. Rose listened with great interest but not as much true happiness as she let Lily believe she felt. She was of course really happy for Lily, but in her heart she'd secretly been hoping that the date would be a failure.
"So did you do it?" Rosanna distracted her disappointment with a vital question.
"Do what?"
"You know, did you sleep with him?"
"No of course!" Lily exclaimed, and then added jokingly "I'm not you."
Rosanna ignored the joke and asked sincerely. "Do you find it strange that I have? With him, I mean."
"You said you didn't sleep with him?" Lily asked with a small hint of worry in her voice.
"Well yeah, I didn't but we did… some other, almost as bad things."
"Oh." Was all that Lily could think to say, now that Rose pointed it out she felt kind of weird that he was so much more experienced than she was.
"Don't worry; you won't do something you're not ready for." Rosanna comforted when she saw that she had upset her friend.
"Right, it'll be fine." Lily said, putting on a smile. "Thanks Rose, sorry I woke you."
"I'm glad for you sweetie."
Lily left Rosanna's bed and made her way to the bathroom. Right before she shut the door Rosanna called.
"Hey Lily, you really like him, don't you?"
"Yeah, I do." Lily answered with a small smile creeping on her lips.
"Progsie?" Something poked James face.
"Yoo-hoo?" The thing poked a couple of times more before he decided to open his eyes. Sirius was standing with his face just inches from his face and probing at him with his wand.
"Great, you're awake, let's get ready for a new day of splendid adventures!" Sirius sings-sang whilst holding his wand like a sword in front of him.
"I'm not really up for it Pads, I'll just stay in today." James said in a small voice. He had stayed in the dormitory all day yesterday, moping. What Lily had said really got to him. All he wanted was to help her be happy and for her to let him love her, but she thought he ruined her life and he wasn't even really sure why.
"Come on Prongs, you're starting to smell." Peter chimed in behind Sirius, breaking James reverie.
"And you've got quidditch practice today, so you got to get up anyway." Remus joined to.
James looked at his three best friends, and felt a smile creping on to his lips. They were really the best people he'd ever met.
"Fine, I'll get up." He said, giving in.
"Yes!" Sirius punched the air triumphantly.
"Calm down you twat." James laughed.
"Getting you out your crying clothes is a great victory indeed." Remus said in a playful tone and high fived Sirius.
"I don't have crying clothes!" James protested, "It's a T-shirt and sweatpants!"
"Whatever you say mate." Sirius said laughing hard.
James took a shower and when he got back he wore a sad and serious expression again but he agreed to go down to breakfast.
