Sorry for delay in updates, my computer crashed "/ I don't own anything and so one. Enjoy!

Lily left James and went up the girls staircase. When she got in her dormitory she found that it was empty and Lily was glad for the alone time, she needed to think. Her conversation with Potter hadn't been awful, not pleasant but not awful. He hadn't made a pass at her even once nor had he been unpleasant when it concerned either Severus or Marcus.

She didn't really know what to do with the fact that he'd been so un-Potter-ish so she decided not to think about it. Instead she focused on her walk with Marcus, he was on off the nicest and sweetest guys she ever meet. She could really picture herself falling in love with him, even if she'd only spent two days with him.

Midway through her reverie Rosanna came crashing in to the dormitory. Her hair was slightly ruffled and she looked furious.

"We don't like Carrie Allen anymore," she announced and crashed down on her bed.

Lily figured her alone time would have to wait, right now she had an angry best friend to comfort.

When James came back to his dormitory the rest of the marauders were waiting eagerly to hear what had been said.

"What did she say mate?" Sirius asked as soon as James had put a foot thorough the door, "Should I yell at her some more?"

"Let him come in before you start to the interrogation," Remus scolded but looked eagerly at James.

"She apologized," James said, with a goofy grin creping onto his face, "She said she was sorry, and that she didn't actually mean it."

"That's great Prongs!" Remus said, getting up and clapping his friend on the shoulder. Ever since he started being friends with Lily last year he had longed almost as much as James for the two of them getting together.

"See! My technique worked, I made her feel guilty!" Sirius announced triumphantly, "I expect a thank you."

James raised his eyebrows at his friend.

"I guess I can wait 'til your wedding," He said with a smile.

"That might be awhile Pads," James grin suddenly turned sour, "She and Marcus are apparently dating."

"And you're still sure we shouldn't scare him away?" Sirius knew deep down that that wasn't the most ethical way to deal with the problem, but he didn't care.

"Yes, I'm still sure," James said with a small amused smile at the thought, "thanks for the offer though."

"Sure thing handsome," Sirius said with a flirtatious wink. "Anything."

"Gross Pads, just gross," James laughed.

The next morning started like any Monday morning, Lily running around not finding one thing or another, Alice calmly barding her hair and Rosanna still sleeping.

"Rose get up," Lily paused her search for her shoes to wake up her friend, "Sweetie you're gonna oversleep."

"No." Rosanna said and dragged her blanket over her head, "I don't wanna."

"Rosy you have to." Lily kept trying.

"No."

"Rosy get up," Lily's voice was getting slightly annoyed.

"No."

"Rosanna I'm going hide all of your shoes except the ugly red pair if you don't get up right now." Lily knew Rosanna's weak spots and wasn't afraid to use it.

"Lily you wouldn't!" Rosanna sat straight up in her bed and glared at her friend.

"Oh wouldn't I?" Lily said with a chuckle and started to look for her own shoes again.

"You are a cruel, curel witch!" Rosanna said but got up.

When the girls finally got down to breakfast Lily paused a little at the door, she saw Marcus sitting with his friends. She wasn't sure it he wanted her to sit with them or not, he had sat with her yesterday but she didn't know if that was just a onetime occurrence.

"Come on," Rosanna said, heading straight to him. Lily was usually very glad that Rosanna was so blunt and careless but this time she wasn't sure that was a good thing.

The girls sat down, Lily and Rosanna purposely sitting so that Alice would sit next to Frank. She shot them a warning glare and started to blush.

"Hi beautiful, how's your morning?"

"Fine thank you," Lily felt her own blush starting to spread, "Yours?"

"Much better now," The boy really knew how to sweet talk.

The breakfast was spent comfortably. Lily and Rosanna had great enjoyment by putting not-so-subtle hints to Frank about asking out Alice and from the great blush on his face, they guessed he got the hints. The party split up a couple of minutes before lessons started, Lily receiving a soft kiss on the cheek by Marcus and Alice an awkward mix between a clap and a caress on the back by Frank.

When the girls got to their first lesson of the day, Potions, they found that almost everyone was already there, they had enjoyed breakfast a little too much to want to leave in time.

"Oh Lily my dear," Professor Slughorn called out when he saw that she had begun to take her set, "I was hoping you might sit next to Severus, I have a special assignment for the two of you!"

Professor Slughorn was beaming and not being one to disappoint a teacher, Lily got out of her seat and sat down next to her ex-best friend.

I know it's not a great chapter but I needed to get a filler in there, otherwise it would all be happening at once. At least I gave you all a cliffhanger to look forward to. Unless my computer tries to pick a fight again I will probably do an update in the next day or two :) Stay awesome! (And please rewiew!)
