Friendship: Taken Away
Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail.
I will not bow,
I will not break,
I will shut the world away.
I will not fall,
I will not fade,
I will take your breath away.

A huge explosion had erupted the area and Juvia lost her balance. Smoke engulfed her and it was hard to see. She called out for Gajeel, but figured that the smoke was of magical origin. It separated her from her team mates, muting her for them, just as they were muted for her. Also she could not see, but the smoke did not hurt her eyes, like 'regular' smoke would.
Once she had regained her balance she focused all her magic power out of the smoke and to the dark guild. She drained the water inside the guild, hoping that it would not be too late. They may be inside a dark guild, but Juvia believed in redemption and second chances. She did not know whether her magic reached out of the smoke.
She did not know, how long she had been inside the smoke, but when she collapsed due to exhausting her magical powers, everything seemed to slow down. She was crouching on the floor, trying to grasp on her consciousness. Her ocean blue eyes looked up, once her ears heard voices. Two men had entered her area of smoke and they had become clear to see for her.
Both were dressed in black cloaks with a white, complicated pattern on it. On their shoulders there was something, that could be their guild mark. It looked like a ghost that was reaching out for the moon. Both men had black hair that was trimmed just under their chins and black eyes. Once they saw her looking at them one of them cracked a brow and spoke in a deep bass-baritone "She's still conscious? Even though she's in here, and rescued those weaklings?", his companion answered in a high, cheerful tenor (not matching the expressionless look on his face) "I guess that should be enough proof for the boss, that she is the one we're searching for." With a snap of his fingers, the smoke cleared up a bit.
Juvia could hear Gajeel calling out for her and Lily. Lily answered him, but she did not have the strength to answer. Then she heard battle sounds and was sure Gajeel tried to fight other cloaked men. Over the sound, the man with the lower voice called out to his presumably guild mates. "We've got the witch. Let her black cats go. We'll retreat."
The two men in front of her lifted their arms and suddenly Juvia was captured in a white orb, that seemed to drain all remaining power in her. That did not mean she would just give up. With images of her friends burned behind her closed eyes she tried to focus all her magic power around herself and tried to free herself with a Water Lock. The two men left at her desperate try. Just as she lost consciousness the image of a grinning Gray was projected against her closed eye lids.
And she fell into a dreamless sleep.
When she woke up she was floating weightlessly in the white orb. She tried to get out of it once more, but even though she felt her strength being back, she could not channel her magic like she usually could. She tried to turn herself into water, but that did not go as she had planned as well.
She came to the conclusion that it had something to do with the orb that was around her. She tried to reach out to it, maybe get out of it even, but her fingers just met a hard surface. It felt like glass, but when she tried to smash her fist into the substance it did not give in like glass usually would.
"The orb's outer shell must be made of lacrima.", she muttered and thought of ways to escape. If the shell was out of lacrima, that explained her being unable to release her magic. That also explained why she was captured in an seemingly solid, translucent cage, and still able to breath.
She whirled around, when she heard a door open. The two men that had captured her stepped into the room. One of them released her from the orb. Seizing the moment she quickly tried to turn herself into water. But one of them was already by her side, pulling a silver bracelet over her right hand. Again she felt her magic sealed away. "What do you plan with Juvia?", she asked them. The one who had put the bracelet on her arm looked at his companion, who shook his head.
They pointed to a plate of food and a package the other man had put on the wooden table in the room. In complete unison they spoke "Eat. Then you can change. If you're ready to give us your power come out." Their voices blending in with each other in a perfect interval. Just before they were about to close the door Juvia glared at them "Juvia will never give you her power!"
In perfect unison the two men smirked and closed the door. Juvia looked around the room. It was dark blue, with a not so comfy looking bed in one corner and the wooden table on the other. A chair was against the wall by the table. There was no window in the room, just a door. There was a painting of the moon at the ceiling and Juvia could feel the magic pulsating from it. The moon illuminated the room.
She was just asking herself about what she should do, when she noticed her clothes were ripped. She blushed in embarrassment when it became clear to her, that those men had seen her in such an improper attire. Sighing she looked around and went to the folded package. Ripping it open she looked at the simple black sundress. She shrugged before changing into it. When she was finished her stomach made a sound. She was hungry. Knowing she would not be able to put up a fight hungry, she sat down and ate the noodles they had brought her.
She would need the energy when she would fight against them the next time they came in.
