Friendship: Epilogue

It was May X794, half a year after Juvia and Lucy had returned. The guild had been so happy. Levy and Gajeel would not let their best friends out of their eyes, Gajeel did not even let Juvia have five minutes with Gray. Their twins had fallen in love with their namesakes upon laying eyes on them. Ameonna was cuddling with Juvia the whole time and little Lucy, who was called Lulu from then on, only wanted to play with the adult Lucy. If they were not so happy Natsu and Gray would probably be jealous.
Six months later, the whole guild and all befriended guilds had gathered at the temple of union to celebrate the double marriage of Gray and Juvia and Natsu and Lucy.
Gray had been the first to ask Juvia and she, being Juvia, answered by throwing herself at Gray. Natsu had not waited long after that to ask Lucy, who said yes. They decided not to wait long with the wedding, since they had waited long enough.
Granted neither Gray not Natsu had thought about a double wedding, but Juvia and Lucy declared that through Luna and Stella they were now bound and that it would be fitting to celebrate the occasion at the temple of union.
When Gray and Natsu were asked why they said yes Gray only shrugged and Natsu explained that the location meant a lot to Lucy and that he would like to have positive memories about the place Lucy cherished so much.
The guild did their best to transform the plain temple into a beautiful location. Around the empty basin there were many chairs, for all of them and their friends. Beautiful hangings of silver and gold lilies were around the pillars and Laki had created a wooden runway over the basin, at the end of which the master would wed the two couples.
The wedding would take place in the warm spring night. The stars would shine golden and the full moon would give the place a beautiful glow. But this would not be the only gift Luna and Stella had for the two women.
Gray and Natsu stood, welcoming the guests who appeared before sundown. When the moon stood high in the sky and the candles around the place were all lit, Makarov gave a sign to the two men and the guests that the wedding would begin.
Gray and Natsu stood next to each other before the master. Just before the two women appeared, the stars suddenly seemed to be shining brighter and the moon glowed with more power. Suddenly silver and golden rain descended upon the wedding. Those who had not seen that happen before stared in wonder. Slowly the basin filled with silver and golden water.
Natsu urged the time to go on. His wish was granted when the little Redfox twins came as flower girls. They looked adorable with in their dresses, Ame in silver and Lulu in golden.
Then it was time for Lucy to appear. Her long blonde hair was braided in a long, thick braid and over her shoulder. Her long white gown without sleeves and flowing skirt. A veil trailing behind her. Her beautiful smile rivalling with the stars.
He watched in wonder as Levy led the blonde to him and could not take his eyes of his beautiful bride. Not even when she turned to hand Lulu, who stood on her other side, her bouquet.
Gray was nervous and the time until Ame and Lulu appeared seemed endless, but when the two twins appeared, their hair braided beautifully, to stray golden and silver petals on the floor, he knew it was only a matter of seconds that Juvia appeared.
When she appeared he felt his breath stuck in his throat. He heard Natsu doing the same next to him but did not pay him, or even Lucy any mind.
Dressed in a white gown, with her long hair down, covering her back, his bride, his Juvia was smiling so brightly, she glowed. Her white veil formed a trail behind her. He felt so lucky and so happy in this moment. He hardly registered Gajeel handing Juvia over to him and muttering a threat.
Juvia handed her bouquet to Ame, who had taken her place next to her father.
The two couples were not able to take their eyes off each other, not even when Makarov started his speech.
Gray and Juvia missed a crying Lucy vowing to never leave Natsu's side again and Natsu vowing that no matter what he would always wait for her. Their kiss was sweet, but for Juvia and Gray too long, since they finally wanted to say their vows.
While Juvia vowed to love Gray with her whole being, Gray vowed to bring the sun to Juvia whenever she was sad. He vowed this while moving a finger up to remove a single tear that strolled down the bluenettes face. Their marriage was then sealed with a kiss.
This was how this chapter in their life ended. Only for a new one to begin.
Not far off Mavis stood watching, at her side the two goddesses. Mavis looked around the guild. The was glad that her guild had found happiness. The two couples that were celebrated were only the beginning.
She had watched them. Wished for them. And her wished had come true.
Alzack and Bisca had found each other in a dark chapter of the guild. Gajeel and Levy would be married as soon as Metallos was old enough to be left with another adult. Laxus and Mira had eloped, returning just in time for Evergreen and Elfman's wedding. Bixlow and Lisanna had finally declared their relationship official. Mavis was happy to find the two youngest active members of the guild, since Asuka and the twins were still too young, also developing feelings for one another. But that would take some time, she could tell.
Her guild's light was not a weapon. Her guild's light was the happiness of the members.
But she could feel dark times coming ahead. Maybe in another year, or two, she could not tell. But she knew these wizards would be able to conquer all the odds and make a bright day out of a dark one.
Sooo that's it. Short and Sweet. The end of Friendship. I would like to thank you for your patience and your support. Contrary to what I said a couple of chapters earlier I think there will be a sequel. I already have some things planned. But let me finish all those angst headcanon one shots I have planned. This is also why the two years thing is not yet explained ;).
