I am going to start this chapter with a flash back to Johnny and Aaliyah, just after Johnny killed Shane and was about to go on the run...
"Let me come with you" Aaliyah pleaded as she watched Johnny packing some things into a bag "I can't do this without you here, Johnny please" she was close to tears.
"Ali, this is the best way" Johnny said as he cupped Aaliyah's face in his hands "Besides it isn't forever as soon as this little ones born, you can come and join me...both of you" Johnny now had a hand on Aaliyah's bump.
"You promise" Aaliyah sniffed "Promise me I will be with you soon"
"I promise" Johnny smiled "I love you so much Aaliyah Cooper, you are my whole world and I will do whatever it takes to protect you...you and my son"
Aaliyah nodded and kissed Johnny "I love you too" she could feel her tears on her lips and as she kissed him.
"Jonny we've gotta go before the police catch up with us" Scotty interrupted, Johnny nodded as he pulled away from Aaliyah "We need to swap cars as soon as we get to Reefton Lakes, Jamie is waiting for us with the passports"
Johnny just nodded and followed Scotty out of the back door, he turned quickly and walked back to Aaliyah, his body wouldn't allow him to leave her. He kissed her passionately before walking out of the door.
Aaliyah broke down in tears a she watched Johnny walk away from her, she had no idea when she was going to see him again.

Later when it got dark Johnny and Scotty drove toward the airport, they were going down the back roads. Johnny insisted the went past his and Aaliyah's house on more time. Johnny and Aaliyah lived just on the outskirts of town, the only way to their house was down a long dirt track.
Scott drove quickly down the dirt track, in fact he was driving that fast he almost didn't realise he had hit something "What was that?" Jonny asked as he tried to look out of the back window, it was then he saw it, even though it was dark he could make out something red. it was then it hit him, Aaliyah had been wearing a red dress "Stop the car" Johnny yelled. He jumped out of the car as soon as it stopped "ALI" he screamed as he sot closer and saw the blood on aaliyah's face "Baby" Johnny was knelt beside Aaliyah.
Scott just looked on in disbelief "Call an ambulance" Johnny ordered as he brushed some hair away from Aaliyah's face.
"Alright i've called them" Scott said nervously "Johnny we need to go before they get here, if they see you then they'll call the police"
"I don't care, I'm not leaving her" Johnny had always been reckless when it came to Aaliyah "Not like this, you go if you want to...I'm staying"
Scott just looked at Johnny "I mean it, you shouldn't risk your freedom because of me. Go if you want"
"What about you and Shane?" Scott stuttered in despair.
"I'll take my chances" Johnny added "Now get out of here"

It wasn't long after Scott drove away, that the ambulance arrived. Johnny held true to his word, he never left Aaliyah's side "And you are?" a doctor asked Johnny who was stood in the corridor of the hospital waiting desperately for news.
"Johnny Cooper, her husband" Johnny was terrified for his wife, who the paramedics and doctors were working so hard to save.
"You understand the police have been called Mr Cooper" the doctor said weakly causing Johnny to become angry.
"I don't care about that anymore, please tell me they are going to be alright?" Johnny begged for the answer he was desperate to hear.
"Your wife is very lucky Mr Cooper" the doctor sighed "She's lucky you called the ambulance when you did, if it had been just a few minutes longer she wouldn't have made it"
"And my son?" Johnny said quickly.
"He's fine, a good strong heartbeat" the doctor smiled.
"Can I see her?" Johnny asked.
"She's still in recovery Mr Cooper" the doctor seemed sympathetic with Johnny.
"Please, you said yourself you have called the police" Johnny had never begged for anything in his life "This could be the last chance I get to see her, I love her so much"
As the doctor thought about what Johnny was saying it was at moment she realised the sacrifice he had made to make sure Aaliyah had gotten to hospital. Johnny was looking at a long stretch in prison, he had the chance to run but he stayed...he risked everything because of the love he felt for this woman.
"You've got 10 minutes" the doctor finally gave in.
End of Flashback
Johnny woke quickly to the sound of a knocking at his caravan door, he was even more surprised when he saw Aaliyah standing in front of him.
Aaliyah was wearing a pair of short white denim shorts and a yellow singlet, he hair was pulled into a tight ponytail and she had some sunglasses propped on top of her head "Sorry he has being up since silly o'clock this morning badgering me to come" Aaliyah frowned as Riley stepped from behind her.
"Hi Dad" Riley gave his dad a cheeky grin.
"Hello mate" Johnny couldn't help but smile at Riley's cheeky grin "What have I told you about getting your mum up too early?"
"I'm used to early mornings" Aaliyah laughed "I have a baby too remember"
Johnny didn't reply he just smiled at her "I'll pick him up tonight" Aaliyah broken Johnny's trail of thoughts.
"Yeah sure" Johnny said quickly "I'll see you tonight"
Riley quickly went inside Johnny's caravan after kissing his mum. Aaliyah walked back to her car, Johnny watched her for a few moments before remembering himself "So Buddy what did you want to do today?" Johnny said as he walked into his van and shut the door.

Aaliyah had arranged to meet Gina in the diner after she had dropped Riley off "Hiya sorry I'm late" Gina quickly apologised as she sat at the table Aaliyah was waiting for her.
"It's fine" Aaliyah smiled "You said you had some good news for me?"
"Yes, here you go" Gina handed Aaliyah a brown envelope, Aaliyah opened it and pulled out some documents. Aaliyah's eyes widened as she read the paperwork.
"Does this mean?" Aaliyah was stunned.
"Under the circumstances the eductation department have decided you can return to teaching at Summer Bay High"
"Oh my god, that's fantastic" Aaliyah squealed excitedly "Thank you so much"
"You're welcome, you are an amazing teacher Aaliyah. I'm glad to have you back on the team" Gina beamed as she returned Aaliyah's hug.

Aaliyah couldn't wait to tell Casey her news she rushed straight to the house to see him, she was surprised to see a strange man in the lounge talking to Casey and Heath "Give Brax time he will soon come around to the idea" Heath said as he looked at the man.
"I couldn't care less what Darryl thinks" The man snarled. Just at that moment Brax came storming past Aaliyah "Get out my house" Brax yelled "I told you stay away from us"
"I never take orders from anyone, especially not you Darryl" the situation was getting out of hand so Aaiyah decided to show her face.
"Case" she announced as she walked into the lounge, the man moved away from Brax and walked closer to Aaliyah.
"Wow is this your girl Casey?" the man exhaled as he looked her up and down "She's definately a looker"
"Aaliyah Cooper, Casey's Fiancée" Aaliyah replied harshly as she held her hand out for the man to shake "And you are?"
"Danny Braxton, Casey's Dad" Danny said as he ignored Aaliyah hand shake gesture and moved in for a hug. Brax sniggered when he heard Danny introduce himself asks Casey's Dad.
Aaliyah could sense the tension in the room, but was grateful when she heard Kyle crying for the bedroom "I'll go" Aaliyah quickly rushed to get Kyle. She picked him up out of his cot and took him into the lounge.
"Who's this little fella?" Danny beamed proudly as he looked Casey and then Kyle "Do you mean to tell me I have a Grandsons?"
"Yeah this is Kyle" Casey interrupted as he took Kyle off Aaliyah and handed him to Danny "Say hi to your Grandad mate" he smiled.
Aaliyah watched curiously as Danny chatted away to his Grandson, she couldn't help thinking he had a hidden agenda. especially after Brax's reaction to his arrival in town.
